@kaylsd that's such a good idea, it will be so nice to show people and also to have that to look back on. Margot is a gorgeous name 🥰 definitely been nothing else to do but eat, the batteries died in my scales a few months ago and didn't replace them and think I've been comfort eating a bit too much 🙈 I'm a very healthy eater during the week but at the weekend I've been bad for takeaways and snacks recently!

Snap that's me! I don't tend to eat much when I'm on my working days but when I get a day off I could easily demolish a half a pack of biscuits with a cuppa without battering a eyelid! I'm just trying a positive mindset whilst all my investigations are going off and plan of action is yet to be determined least I can do is cut back on the snacks and eating cleaner for the perfect baby brewing environment!

my SIL is in labour, 5cm, looks like my niece is going to make her arrival today 😘

kaylsd · 29/04/2021 16:27

My little niece has arrived, 6pound 13 ounces at 12:33 feeling very overwhelmed for many reasons right now, don't know whether to jump for happiness or start sobbing, she's absolutely gorgeous though from what I've seen on FaceTime!

minthumbugs · 29/04/2021 16:39

Awww @kaylsd I bet ❤️ it'll be a big confusing mix of emotions! Glad your wee niece is here safely and anything you are feeling right now is 100% valid. Is it your hubby's sister? How is he dealing? X

CycloGoose · 29/04/2021 18:59

Shit! I dropped the ball and it's all kicking off on here haha. Killer week at work and trying to look at my phone less.

Congratulations on becoming and aunty @kaylsd definitely bittersweet emotions especially when it's hubs' family doesn't feel quite the same as if it were your own side. It will be lovely and it will be your turn soon enough I'm sure of it. Loads of love to you. Have a big glass of wine and put on Moana or something 🤣 I am a huge Disney girl too. Love the idea of your video poppet XXX

How's everyone else going?

@minthumbugs I sent my amh finger prick test off today that I'm doing privately and that should be about 4 working days. I will be able to see my results as soon as they go up on patient access but not sure how long that takes. Only a few days I imagine. Also getting my vaccine tomorrow! Gulp!

I want to get a bit of life back in order. Need to get into my cycling again. Think it will help my stress levels as well as being good for my weight and overall health. Need more goals in life than 'get pregnant. Give up work.'

minthumbugs · 29/04/2021 19:46

@CycloGoose that's fab! 4 working days is really fast for that test considering you have to send it yourself... maybe means it will come back at the same time as the docs which would be good. That's great news you're getting the vaccine tomorrow. I understand the nerves, I'm all for it but I'm not looking forward to choosing to get something and feeling under the weather. Hopefully it's a breeze for you and you get no unpleasant side effects! Bet it will be a relief working in a school.

Haha, agreed with the goals. Early retirement and live on a yacht? Yes pleaaaase. Eat healthy and work like a slave? Hmmmmmm...

If all goes well with our cycles this month I think we might be cycle twins! I'm thinking I want to go rogue with tracking this month and give the OPKs a miss. But we will see! X

CycloGoose · 29/04/2021 20:37

@minthumbugs it says 3 working days from receipt so I'm guessing 4 days. I'm glad of the bank hol after the jab because gives me time to recuperate after as well.

I want to retire tomorrow! 🤣

Ooh it would be great to be cycle twins. Who knows though because I was 3 weeks before ovulating last time. I'm hoping that was all because of the miscarriage but who knows. Let's cross everything 🤞🤞🤞

@kaylsd how many days into the provera are you now? xxx

CycloGoose · 29/04/2021 21:40

PS. I also want to stop using OPKs @minthumbugs but too scared to miss ovulation!

minthumbugs · 29/04/2021 21:58

So am I @CycloGoose 😩 I'm torn between just chilling, having a normal month and being of the opinion that it might not happen even when tracking and it might happen when not anyway, so what's the point in stressing? And then on the other hand if I end up missing it (cba doing SMEP 🤣) then have I shot myself in the foot waiting another month!

Tbh January due date isn't great for us so it might be best to have a chilled month but still kinda don't want to. Aaaahhhh does this make sense can you feel my confusion 🤣 our last due date was absolutely perfect, I have a career opportunity coming up that would mean I can't really have time off for about 2 years after that so TTC would be out. I could've been into it this year had it all worked out! I don't want to keep postponing it but the thought of waiting all that time to start again breaks my heart. Life just throws curveballs at you doesn't it. Xx

CycloGoose · 29/04/2021 22:38

@minthumbugs wow! That sounds really crazy! Why couldn't you take time out for 2 years? Guaranteed if you take it you'll end up pregnant without trying! What would it be to do? It does have that 'life on hold' feeling doesn't it.

It's a lot harder doing normal opks during work week. Have to wait until I get home at about 8pm to do them. Wondering if to just go down to OvuSense. Maybe see what tests say and how we feel about SMEP. It didn't really work out for us this month as I got a false peak.

minthumbugs · 29/04/2021 23:02

@CycloGoose I'd be doing a master's degree in education! I have a place for this year but if you do it you're not allowed time off or you don't graduate. I'm able to defer it to next year but after that I would have to re-apply. I know it's crazy to consider doing this with a baby (and toddler) in tow but crazier things have happened 🤷‍♀️ so I feel like I have bit of time pressure! It feels a bit like now or never even though it's really not, I would still be young when I finish but I'd like to have my family before I get into my forever career 🤞🏻 some think it's the wrong order but hey ho 😆

The ovusense is quite accurate isn't it? Play it by ear and see how you feel closer to the time. SMEP just sounds absolutely exhausting! Props for being able to do it at all 🤣

CycloGoose · 30/04/2021 19:16

@minthumbugs that sounds amazing! Are you not allowed any time off at all? That sounds mental. Even if part time? What would be the focus/topic?
OvuSense supposed to be 99% accurate but only confirms after. I don't know. We'll see. Looking forward to getting my blood tests back.
Hope everyone has a great bank holiday ❤️ lots of love

kaylsd · 30/04/2021 20:36

@minthumbugs thank you so much! it is my hubby’s twins wife who’s gave birth darl, so it’s my SIL that way, I litterally feel so overwhelmed with emotions but when I held her tonight my heart just litterally gushed in love with her, the warmth and the love for her it’s unreal 😘🥰 she’s absolutely tiny though she’s swamped even in newborn baby clothes 😂 my MIL is having her two pence in already as we could already imagine but I’ve told her not to pay too much attention as many people will tell her how to do things when really she’ll figure out her own ways!

@Cyclogoose thank you so much for your well wishes chicken! Went over tonight and saw her and she’s a gorgeous little poppett! I think she has the twins nose (my hub n BIL) with the button look but everything else id say she’s got the look of my SIL but they soon change so only time will tell! Feeling well overwhelmed with emotion both really good but really sad at same time, just going to take things as I can but one thing for certain is I love her so much, she’s absolutely gorgeous and she’s my first niece so it’s even more special that way! My BIL & SIL was really thoughtful of us soon as we came in and asked about our fertility journey and gave us like a pep talk that we can get help in many ways these days and hopefully even if it takes time you will have your moment which I thought was quite nice; if only my MIL was the same 😣😂😂😂

In terms of me though, I’m on my second to last day now on provera it’s been a long bloody time! My hormones mood swings are ridiculous but saying that I just don’t know if it’s my life right now what’s making me abit up and down :’) last tablet will be on Saturday night then it’ll be waiting for my dear old friend of AF! I’ve been scaring myself with dr google with PCOS which I need to slap my wrist for doing because it’s the worst thing ever when really I should just wait until our fertility referral as they are the experts! I’m taking a laid back cycle this month when it resets because I’ve got a funny feeling it’ll end up being a anovulatory one 🙈 it’ll give me a break from the TTC side as it can be abit much with the OPK & temps as mine literally show the best things ever but still doesn’t work for me so going to strip it back to natural signs and go off that way 🥰 hope you both are okay lovely ladies 😘😘😘 I’m working for the next 6 days so I may be abit quiet but I’ll put a little period meme up when the devil shows up 😫😫😂

CycloGoose · 01/05/2021 14:03

Last day of provera @kaylsd woot! 🤞🤞🤞 all goes well and the red flag flies so you can start your testing 😂

Hope you are able to be kind to yourself while you have the long work stint! Sounds like you have an awful lot to process at the moment with your naughty ovaries and new baby in the family. I'm really glad that twinny and wife were empathetic. Sounds like MIL just doesn't know how to behave properly!

Well I had my vaccine yesterday and side effects are revolting. Had a full on fever last night. Was shaking so much I couldn't even hold a glass of water. Temp went up like a whole degree 🤣 Time for my next dose of paracetamol because I can feel the chills coming back.

I have the same CM as I did last time I was pregnant. Don't know why bodies have to be so confusing.

Ren26 · 02/05/2021 21:05

@kaylsd you're having a busy week. Arrival of your little niece and finishing provera.
@minthumbugs I did the chill month thing in Jan and Feb, deleted all the apps so no tracking anything. I was still aware roughly where we were in the cycle but it was nice not tracking everything.

I got peak on opk this morning (using the Clearblue digital ones) so ovulation will be today or tomorrow and then into the dreaded tww. Need to find some way to distract myself this month.

kaylsd · 03/05/2021 16:29

No signs of AF yet ladies @Ren26 @CycloGoose but so glad the provera is out of the way!

I'm sooooo annoyed right now, I'm not a petty person but my little niece has gone Facebook official which is really cute but why has my MIL now only changed her cover photo to me and hubs on our wedding day yet we've been married 6 month just because she's uploaded her photo of her profile to my niece as she failed to acknowledge our day at all when it mattered! Social media is such a devil sometimes 😫😫😫😫 The raw emotions between right now with the rollercoaster of TTC is just shit today, might be because I'm PMT but yes, Kayleigh's throwing her doll out of pram today, big and proper 😂😂😂😂🙈 Having a rough ride at work, tomorrow is my 5th in a row and I've been moved areas to 30 miles away from where I normally work which is another annoying thing :( just feel like the rain is heavy right now on my shoulders,

Tomorrow will be another day ;(

kaylsd · 03/05/2021 17:59

Ive stuck my dummy in after my tantrum, had a cry and put my big girl pants back on

@CycloGoose sending hugs for your vaccine chick I've heard a lot of people been up and down with it, it sent my friend to hospital with symptoms as she was having like a covid shower which showed her positive from jab! Crazy times! How are you today darling? I hope your better, it's sucks the TTC when we don't know where we stand, I've lost 4 and half pound this week which puts my bmi at 26.5 so I've just got like another .5 where I'll be considered back healthy once again as I did this test what my friend messaged me and it was like a lifestyle fertility test I'll attach link for fun to complete 😘😘

Mine told me the areas to improve was coffee and bmi, oops 😂🤣

@Ren26 hope you enjoy the best part of the TTC bit ;), get abit of Marvin Gaye on in the background and let the magic happen ✨✨✨

For the keeping busy id say go on nice walks but at moment it's pissing it down with rain litterally all day these days so maybe find a good series to watch on Netflix or think of a project to do in your house maybe abit of decor or something :')?

minthumbugs · 03/05/2021 19:37

@CycloGoose you're allowed sick days etc but are told strictly no pre-booked holidays - thinking they wouldn't take kindly to being preggo haha! My OH's work are v good about shared parental leave so childcare wouldn't be a massive deal for the first wee while at least but more thinking I wouldn't want to be away, had an emergency section with LO too so not ruling out the unexpected. Focus would be on literacy, I'm very excited about it but just feel a bit in limbo with it tbh! How are you, have you had your results back yet? Hope you're feeling from your vaccine now, fab news that you've had it.

@kaylsd that's so nice of your BIL and SIL to be so kind about it, it would definitely be easy to be oblivious when you're wrapped up in that little bubble! Awww no sorry you're feeling rubbish. You have a lot going on. I bet your hormones will be all over the place just now with the medication too so take it easy! Hoping AF comes soon and it's a massive relief for you.

Bloody MILs eh? Try not to think too much into it, at least you are actually on there lol. How come you have been moved so far away for work, is it permanent? You're on the home stretch with your long week, bet you're looking forward to that. And 4.5lbs lost omg that's fab! I was on a mission last week but had some treats at the weekend so I'll see how that's gone lol, defo not as good as you.

@Ren26 oh fab so TWW now?! Find an addictive series defo lol, try and throw yourself headfirst into something and try not to look at the calendar counting everyday (what I do even though I know fine well how many dpo I am haha)

I've been a bit MIA recently, super busy. I'm enjoying the sudden busy-ness though, it's been taking my mind off TTC. Still nothing exciting to report, bloody long cycles uuuughhh. Think I've pretty much decided I'm definitely not going to track this month, I could ovulate as early as this weekend coming and as late as the following weekend so might just take my chances and start being super nice to my OH the middle of this week... hahaha! Hope you're all good. X x

@minthumbugs hey there lovely lady nice to see you back! I felt like yesterday was the day to cave in and comfort eat my life away into a pack of biscuits with a good cuppa but I resisted lol! It's not permanent hunny we've got an issue at moment that my teams over staffed so we have to help out other areas, normally we get sent to places which is around 10 mile away ish, but I look like I'm going to be doing the tour de Yorkshire today with where I've been sent! Luckily I'm in training all this morning so it'll be travelling from this afternoon! I felt abit better once I had my cry, just feel like my hormones and everything else is all upside down right now :')

Always good to start planting the seeds with the OH ;) quite litterally 🤣🤣🤣 I hope your cycle
behaves soon darling I know how irritating it can be! #cycleday72 🙃

minthumbugs · 04/05/2021 09:54

good for you @kaylsd that is motivation! I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 2lbs (woop woooopp) but I still need to get it together to feel good in the summer clothes if this rain goes away 🌧️ ahhhh that is such a pain! At least it's only temporary and hopefully soon you will be doing something new anyway 🤞🏻 aww god I know I shouldn't be moaning about just being on CD15! Still no sign of AF? X

kaylsd · 04/05/2021 21:05

Still no signs petal! Had a couple of cramps.. could be AF.. could be trapped wind who knows 😘😘😂😂 how are you getting on with your cycle sweet? You considering to do anything different this time round :)? Congratulations on the little weight loss chick, any loss is a gain! Even if it's little bits of a time 😘 litterally cannot wait to get the summer wardrobe to be back out; had a snippet of it back in March with dresses being out but I've soon gone back to thermals 5 layers and cursing when I open the blinds as it's lovely weather for ducks.. not so good for humans 😂😩
minthumbugs · 04/05/2021 21:43

@kaylsd fingers crossed it's soon, who would have thought we would all be desperate for someone to get AF on one of these threads 🤣 just want a fresh start and new cycle for you! I'm on CD15 so not really thinking about it much yet tbh, just going to see if we manage to get FW. If it happens this month, it happens. If not, maybe back to tracking next month? We will see! The weather is bloody awful, being stuck inside with a toddler who is hitting the terrible twos has been interesting to say the least, come back Mr sun 🌞🌞🌞

CycloGoose · 05/05/2021 10:38

Morning lovely ladies. I am SO busy at work and stressed stressed stressed. No good for baby making.

It's all sounding exciting for you @minthumbugs maybe that's where your focus is meant to be? Sounds like you have a healthy approach this month which is great ☺️

@kaylsd sounds like you have been run ragged with the work calls. Naughty buggers putting you in well outside your travel zone. Sorry to hear that! Get you to the oncology wards asap! Sorry I wasn't there for you when you had your low ebb. My heart is with you. I was just so ill with the vaccine and then so stressed with work. Hope you have new hope in a new cycle. Not long for semen analysis now either! ☺️

I've had all my blood tests back. They're in the 'normal' range but both FSH and AMH suggest diminishing ovarian reserve so looks like I really am just getting over the hill. Not really sure what to do with that information. Maybe I need to think about IVF before it's too late.

Kitty0389 · 05/05/2021 13:58

Sorry all, I’ve been super quiet, turns out building an extension yourself takes a lot of time!
@kaylsd welcome to your little niece, I hope it hasn’t been too hard on you. I hope AF turns up soon for you!
@minthumbugs that sounds super exciting for the education course but also quite stressful to do whilst planning everything else.

@CycloGoose . That’s great that your blood tests came back normal, but the decision about IVF sounds really stressful. Is it definitely something you would consider?

I’m on 9DPO and feeling slightly nauseous but i don’t want to get my hopes up. Every month I get a whole host of symptoms (often different from the month before) and then it’s a bit crushing when it’s a BFN so I’ve kind of convinced myself it’s not happening this month. I think I’m just really sensitive to progesterone so I get all the early pregnancy symptoms every month during a normal cycle...
