@kitty0389 woop woop for FW! Good luck ✨ may the eggs be ever in your favour 🤣

@kaylsd omg my doctors are the same. And then 'estimated waiting time is one minute' 18 times in a row!! That's brill - Monday!! It's all happening. Wee hot water bottle 🤣 when is it you start your medication to start shedding? Haha! Thank god you didn't have to wait til the year mark, hopefully it doesn't get to that point now. Have the best weekend off! It's lovely and sunny here hope you have the same 🤩

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ✨
@minthumbugs from what I can gather hunny I'm on day 3 now of taking it and it's expected to finish it on Saturday, then from Saturday I can bleed from any day post 2nd day, knowing my track history I'll be the last of the last 😂🙈 I went on a lovely walk in the sun today around a lake, ended up with abit of chub rub on my thighs where I've had to Bob some sudacrem on though from wearing a dress... if that's not a kickstart to cut back tomorrow I don't know what is 🙈🙈 hope you've had a lovely weekend, lovely lady 😘

kaylsd · 25/04/2021 16:02

@Kitty0389 thank you darling! It's such a pain in the arse long cycles, you kind of overcome the early testing thing as in my stance chances are it's my non compliant ovaries being the pain in my arse where they've decided to go on strike once again and cause skipped cycle of ovulation once again, this is my second episode of this that's why I'm now being taken seriously for potential PCOS! I worked it out I'll be due on anytime past 3/5.. lucky me 🙈🙈🙈

kaylsd · 25/04/2021 16:08

@Ren26

Hi. Can I join you? The dreaded AF turned up last week for me so we're now onto month 11. I've been fairly chilled about ttc up till now but it really hit me hard this month maybe because we're getting close to the year mark. Cycle is fairly regular and fairly sure I'm ovulating. Started using opk's and temping last month so will keep going with that again. I never thought getting pregnant would be so complicated.
@Ren26 welcome darling! Ofc you are welcome to join the mad gang, we're abit of a sisterhood without the initiation tests ;) I'm sorry to hear that AF has come and bit you in the bottom!!

As you are unaware with many people's history here's mine :)! 27 TTC 1st, irregular cycles post pill after 12 years, trying for around 8 and abit month and decided to have a private scan last month as GP wouldn't touch me until 12 month trying, looked like I had PCOS, so went back to doctors and now in middle of being investigated, blood works shows that I have hormone imbalance which would support PCOS, being induced a period this time with medication so I can have my progesterone checked accurately and my hub is getting his SA done to ensure that we know the full picture as to why it might have not happened yet then we will be referred into specialist support 🥰

I'm abit of a softie, hate to hear or see anyone upset so I try to motivate and support the best I can on here for the sisterhood 😘😘

minthumbugs · 25/04/2021 16:11

@ArtemisMack it's really tough! But I'm just getting on with it, trying again is giving me something to put my energy into I just hope it happens soon 🤞🏻 will you be tracking in some way for FW or just going for it?

@kaylsd ahhhhh bloody chub rub 😭😭😭 nothing worse. Summer time is when I really know I need to get it in gear, let's keep each other going with it haha! Healthy lifestyle ✨🌱🥑🍆🥦🌽 hopefully AF starts on the earlier side for you and you can get going, can't wait for your new cycle!

minthumbugs · 25/04/2021 16:12

@Ren26 @kaylsd is right! She keeps us going on here, everyone will tell you that ✨ motivational quotes for days 😆❤️

kaylsd · 25/04/2021 16:18

@CycloGoose

How is everyone feeling today? I have the Sunday blues! *@kaylsd* how is the northistrone going? Have you had a good weekend off? Or have I made up that you have this weekend off? Great news that your hubs' SA is getting done so soon. I really hope that's all good then you're just waiting for AF to get the ball rolling. Has there been any more animosity with the ILs? My mum calls mine the Outlaws but I actually get on really well with them the vast majority of the time.

@minthumbugs how you feeling a few days into the cycle? Have you ever been investigated for endometriosis with your AF being heavy and painful? I didn't want to touch the agnus castus either but I wonder if you could float any of the ideas with your GP? Even maybe give the inositol a go? Not that I know if it works if there's no pcos. I love the eggs be forever in your favour! Think that should be the next thread name!
@Kitty0389 so sorry to hear your cycles all over the place! My last was 16 with possibly 5 day LP but possibly no ovulation but this time I'm on CD30 so almost double so I feel your pain for sure! Good luck with the SMEP and your OPK testing later lovely. Hope you plant a little bean on OH's birthday!
@Ren26 welcome to the madhouse! Sorry to hear you had AF turning up and that you're into month 11. I'm just coming up to the end of month 9 and it has been a roller coaster for sure. Hubs is feeling it too - he says he just keeps thinking it's got to be the next time but he's taking comfort in the fact it won't be long until we can get some testing done on the NHS now. What sort of cycle length do you have? I'm impressed you have held out so long staying sane! I wish I had a bit of that - totally obsessive. How did you feel with the opks? Did they help you pinpoint the part in your cycle when you ovulated this month? Definitely hear you about it being so complicated! I am a teacher and we were really hoping we could time it so it fit in well with the holidays and have a child older in the year group but we would just take anything now! We're always here in some capacity to support xxx

I have been driving myself crazy today with tests. I do not have the willpower to hold off testing any more since the weird MC, I just want to be more sure! I was convinced I had seen a shadow of a line but it's definitely blank. Not too bummed yet as OvuSense is only saying 9dpo. I put it in Fertility Friend as well and that says 10dpo but OS is supposed to be 99% accurate. I am definitely finding this longer cycle frustrating when the others have been so short. At least it makes me feel the Ovusense has been worthwhile because if it had just been down to me, I would be convinced I was now late and freaking out even more. Shouldn't be too long now either way though until I find out.
I need to go into work this afternoon but I am struggling to motivate myself to do anything other than lie on the sofa and look at RightMove! Much love and baby dust to everyone xxx

@CycloGoose it's going well I think sweet? I've noticed I'm abit more snappy than normal like getting on at hub for his choice of dilute 😂😂😂 then I've told myself to get a grip, I've noticed an increase in discharge (TMI) but I think that'll be the progesterone link, just looking forward to next Saturday when I can take my last one so I can have a cycle rest because my cycle day numbers give me anxiety when I see my app tell me off for being so many days late 🙈🙈🙈 i pick up his package from doctors tomorrow so I'll update what the heck does this mean, never know might come with a cheeky mag but saying that they'll say no because of covid 🙈 in terms of my lovely inlaws, they are just baby mad right now with my SIL due this coming Thursday, I'm hoping things might quieten down when she gets here but also on the flip side it might ramp up like 100%, i let them say what they need to say then just cut that conversation short if I find it an unfair conversation lead as they've been known to do in the past.. my mum calls my MIL the wicked witch of the west like oz all because she had red shoes on one time and it's just stuck with her 😂🙈 in terms of myself though sweet I'm really good :) keeping positive mindset about things and just doing what I can to create a good baby brewing environment both physically & mentally ✨✨✨🤞🏻 not looking forward to returning to work tomorrow, my workload looks heavy and I know the girls who have been on this weekend has had it rough which means it follows onto the week 🙈 enjoyed my last day off today though with hub & Mabes walking round a lake in the sun with a frozen strawberry lemonade 😋 hate to admit though I wore a dress and got abit of chub rub on the lil thighs 😩😂 hope you've had a good one too sweet pea 🥰
ArtemisMack · 25/04/2021 17:30

@minthumbugs
It sounds like the best approach to have 😊
No tracking for three months. When we had our boys we were really lucky as the first month of trying ( with both) we clicked. This was 6 and 4 years ago respectively though. Hopefully 3rd time lucky. 🤞

Ren26 · 25/04/2021 22:56

Thanks for the welcome. Sounds like there's a lot going on with everyone. I'm sure I'll get up to speed with everyone's stories. We're ttc no.1. I'm 34 and dh is 36. I was pretty confident (to within a few days) of when ovulation happened cos I get ovulation pain so the opk's were just to confirm it.
@CycloGoose I know what you mean with the testing, I went a little crazy with it last month.

minthumbugs · 26/04/2021 13:21

@ArtemisMack wow that's lucky! It's tough that it's happened twice though so you're expecting it next time round. Hopefully you are super fertile and it's soon for you 🤞🏻

Sorry if you said and I missed it @Ren26 what point are you at in your cycle? Are you in the TWW? X

CycloGoose · 26/04/2021 13:43

@kaylsd how's the chub rub today? Did you manage to collect the package and get a booking? Hope things start to make sense soon.

Similar ages to us @ren26

How are you @minthumbugs ?

I have doc appointment this afternoon. Going to ask about Covid jab and also complain again about my irregular cycles. Temp dropped overnight and brown spotting so expecting CD1 tomorrow (expected it now but has to be full flow before midday or something doesn't it?)

minthumbugs · 26/04/2021 13:52

All good here @CycloGoose! Counting down the days til FW, just under 3 weeks now 😆😩 awww no sorry your temp dropped. I hope it's not back to CD1 for you! Are you going in with anything in mind for them to do? I feel like you have to do all your research yourself, they're not forthcoming with suggestions 🤷‍♀️

CycloGoose · 26/04/2021 15:21

@minthumbugs @kaylsd They're going to start some testing thank the lord. I'm crying so hard I feel so relieved that she's finally heard me. Just some initial tests but it gets the ball rolling - all the cd1-7 tests. AND I should have had my Covid jab ages ago and they've missed me somehow (I definitely am in group 6) so I should get booked in for that asap. And she said the new guidance is that it's safe.

minthumbugs · 26/04/2021 15:49

Oh @CycloGoose that's a massive relief! And great you will be getting your vaccine too. Did they give you any specifics or do you just know that tests will be happening? Also that's really helpful about the vaccine! I was thinking I wanted to being pregnant before being offered it but maybe now the best thing is to get it before! X

CycloGoose · 26/04/2021 16:02

@minthumbugs it's just blood tests. I need to book them in cd1-7. It will be the main ones FSH, lh, testosterone, thyroid, prolactin I think. Double check not pcos or anything else not quite right hormonally. Wouldn't get any other tests at this point I don't think!

Kitty0389 · 26/04/2021 16:07

Oh no @CycloGoose, fingers crossed for no AF.

@kaylsd @minthumbugs I can’t remember exactly who asked the question about what I’m tracking. I was doing everything for a while, CM, BBT, OPKs and it was really stressing me out. Especially the temping as it was inconsistent, it was driving me nuts and putting me in a bad mood in the mornings. The last 3 months I’ve had lots of EWCM (sorry for the TMI) the day before a positive OPK, then ovulation cramps the day after a positive OPK. We’re trying SMEP (or close to), from the day I finish my period because of my short cycles. I’m not really a go with the flow type of person, but tracking everything was making me stress too much! So just OPKs from day 6 and see how we go. I’ve thrown the temping out the window completely for now.
@kaylsd did your OH get his swimmers to the hospital on time?!

Do you lovely ladies reduce caffeine in your TWW? I’m trying to, but also have a super busy job at the moment so I’m finding it hard! I also don’t want to have the wait on my mind any more than I need to!

It's litterally the worst today!! Going to lather my thighs up with sudacrem, they've rubbed through having my tights on, I've been in some warm houses today so gets abit warm 😂🙈🙈 did the dreaded weigh in this morning thinking right I need to know what's cooking as I was reading my CCG support yesterday of what I'm entitled and what's requirements are and they don't like you with a unhealthy bmi, in accordance to my weight I'm 27.1 so I kinda need to get into that healthy range although I don't feel like I'm too bad 🙈 I am over moon you have some testing happening darling and not left in limbo land!!! Even if it gives you peace of mind that everything's okay then that is the main thing isn't it sweetheart!! Will you be having bloods done this week if AF arrives? 😘 hope your feeling better now with the doctors listening to you 🥰 takes time because they are so dismissive some of them! Xx

@Kitty0389 I'm going to take a page out of your book and just go on physical signs and EWCM, I've baby danced smep I've done everything legs in air legs flat on bed 30 mins I've tried all the old wives tales of temperature & OPK.. until I know going forward where I stand with TTC and our fertility investigations at the moment I've just stopped majority of things other than supplements & taking a relaxed view going forward for now, it's doing my mindfulness wonders as there's nothing worse than getting up in morning and seeing my temperature have a paddy 😂😂🙈 which mine look textbook some months but still doesn't get the good outcome!!

Ps the SA update, went to collect everything bless him, yellow biohazard bag and pot labelled sperm analysis on top, because of the time distance we live from hospital being 40 minutes, they've recommended him booking a room (I laughed because I'm immature thinking he's gonna have to do it at hospital with his phone😂😂😂🙈) but it's all booked now for the 12th of may, I won't need to stash it down any cleavage this time round as he's on site, least it eliminates time being a issue for us but he's asked me to wait in car for him for moral support 🙈 men eh!
minthumbugs · 26/04/2021 17:29

@CycloGoose so glad they took you seriously! That will be so reassuring 😙

@kitty0389 you're so right about it putting you in a bad mood in the mornings. Not only do I get a bad sleep for worrying about remembering to do it it also sets me up badly for the day from the minute I open my eyes 😆 I've reduced caffeine overall. I don't normally have a lot of caffeine so it's been ok for me but I know people love their coffees! I think they say 200mg is the limit so I think everything in moderation is nothing to worry about 😊

@kaylsd haha I love that!! Working from I'm on video calls a lot so I have the pleasure of seeing my own face with that expression all the time 😩🤣

minthumbugs · 26/04/2021 17:30

Omg @kaylsd 🙈🙈🙈 it makes me cringe! It's only fair the men get a bit of awkwardness with everything you go through as a woman!!

CycloGoose · 26/04/2021 17:47

HAHA @kaylsd I love that silly face! Sorry you had a rough day. I needed this one today so thought I would share it with you, too. Hoping I can remember it coz it's hard sometimes!
27.1 isn't too bad at all hunny and don't forget it's a two way street - the pcos can contribute to weight gain as well. They'd be chuffed with you if you could bring it down a little though darling. I think putting too much stress on yourself to do anything is just the pits though. I think this is the worst for me but how to stress less about being stressed?! Conundrum of the week!
Yes! I will be booking in to get my blood tests this week if I get AF as anticipated. I can't see me not getting it really with the temp drop at this time of the month. Even if they're just normal I don't mind because then I can relax and believe it will happen eventually with the 'Even Miracles Take Some Time' ethos. And if not, then hopefully there will be some next stages!

CycloGoose · 26/04/2021 17:54

hahaha @kaylsd - ditto what @minthumbugs said!

Oh I am so so pleased to have some sort of reassurance coming up and I feel so thankful. Though I don't love having the mad cycles that have led me there.

I do like that the OvuSense is consistent but I think seeing that crash sent me spiralling this morning @Kitty0389 so I definitely don't blame you! Especially when you know you ovulate early. I am wondering whether to stop testing once it's confirmed ovulation from now so that I can just chill out but at the same time, I love the data!
I am not a big caffeine drinker so can't help there but definitely all in moderation I think is fine. I do like a cup of tea but only because it makes me feel like a grown up (I only used to drink hot chocolate until about 6 years ago haha!) so I just drink decaf now.

Ren26 · 26/04/2021 17:55

@CycloGoose sorry about the temp drop but good outcome from the Dr's. Thanks for the info on the vaccine, that's good to know.
@minthumbugs I'm now cd7 so approaching fw. I never find much ewcm (tmi sorry) so trying grapefruit juice this week and drinking loads of water cos I read somewhere that's meant to help. Only problem is I need to pee every half hour and I'm spending this week driving round polling stations sticking up covid posters so not always near a loo. 🙄
