@CycloGoose yeah darling I've already started the process with it all, I'm liaising with the manager in the new area for a potential visit for where I come and work half a shift on there to see if I like how it is :) how’s things for you on the work front hunny? Have you enjoyed being back as normal or has it been still abit chaotic? I’m litterally the same as you not knowing what dpo I am, I’m either 3 week late and having an anovulatory cycle, 13 dpo from a random positive OPK with EWCM, it’s great being the lane of the unknown 😂😂😂🥺 I’ve decided by this week though if nothing comes I’m going to be asking them to induce my period as I can’t have any more testing until AF comes and it’s unfair to keep waiting around for it 🙈 but on a positive note another 37 reading this morning 👀 I wonder if it means anything but I’m refusing to test until like “16” dpo it says as they say if temps stay high for 16 days it could indicate but knowing my look I may just be naturally warmer with the weather changes 😂🙈

@lucea87 hello there baby mama! I’m so glad to hear your update from cyclo and yourself!! I’m glad the little ones are cooking lovely at the moment I hope everything goes well for your scan on Saturday, we still want to hear your updates as a fellow graduate you know, we are so happy for you ✨🥺 I’m doing well I think hunny :) I’m abit all over with my cycles as I’m being investigated for pcos so I don’t know where I stand with things as I don’t think I ovulate properly but I’m sure in the pipeline I’ll be able to get it sorted and be on the journey for our little bub :) 🤞🏻

@minthumbugs so glad you had abit of self care chick you deserve that little bit of a unwind from it all, we are only human end of the day and we are aloud to be upset at these things, we’ve got your back girl 🤜 I will keep with the dream journals when I wake up and remember them I’ll be first to share on here, they are so funny I always think what the heck was that about each time I wake up and remember some of those 🤣🤣🤣 I used to work in gynaecology for 4 years which specialises in miscarriages then when the third lockdown came I decided I wanted abit of a change and left for community but I don’t feel settled there or job fulfilment so I’m looking at heading back to the wards doing oncology nursing :)! All new chapters ahead for me 👌🏻

I forgot to share this photo at the weekend, I'm having a cuddle with our mabes in the garden when the sun was out! My little fur cub 🦁🦁 she's over due a chop though her curls are getting bushy around her eyes!

In terms of cycle days for me lady I'm officially cd 59 🤣👀 NO AF, apparently 13 dpo based on one OPK and temperature is up at 37.. who knows but saying that I'm not really hopeful as baby dancing has been hard with the cycles been upside down 🙈

Just heading out to work now ladies, have an amazing Wednesday 🥰✨

minthumbugs · 21/04/2021 13:07

@kaylsd gorgeous pic 😍 That will be fab new job new chapter, get a fresh start! Hopefully your cycle will sort it's bloody self out so you can get the ball rolling properly with your tests 🤞🏻

Kitty0389 · 22/04/2021 08:55

@minthumbugs
I hope you’re feeling better now. I hadn’t really thought About the wait before ovulation for those with long cycles. That must be really hard. Mine are so short I have to start OPK testing the day my period ends!
On the plus side blood tests have come back all clear, clear sign of ovulation on my day 21 bloods so advice from my doctor was to ‘just keep at it’ while we wait for a referral to gynaecology for my fibroid and OH’s swimmer tests..
Sounds like it’s busy for everyone at work at the moment, I hope you find time for some TLC and enjoying some sunshine!

minthumbugs · 22/04/2021 11:35

@Kitty0389 all good! Back to hopeful 🤞🏻 my cycles are all lopsided, long follicular phase and short luteal phase... That autocorrected to 'shit luteal phase' and it's not wrong 🤣 my OH is always really up for it the first week after AF and I'm like noooo honey pace yourself!!! 🙈🙈

So glad your tests have come back with a good result! Will you be approaching fertile week now then? X

CycloGoose · 22/04/2021 15:06

Sorry for the delay! It has been busy at work and I am nowhere near scratching the surface of what I need to be doing because all I want to do is focus on baby making! Even if there isn’t actually anything I could be doing right now!

@minthumbugs I am glad that you were able to give yourself some TLC as well as a big ugly cry – its sometimes what we need! I hear you with the no clue thing and there literally isn’t really anything we can do. Makes me feel powerless and helpless. Have you been to the docs about your LP? Hopefully you’ll get your intact tube next time and a lovely BFP after an anniversary conception! Is there anything the docs can do to trigger an earlier ovulation so that you have more chance of having a longer LP? Are you feeling better today as well generally?

@kaylsd So exciting that you already have the wheels in motion! Let us know when you have your trial shift and how it goes. Funny you’ll have gone from the EPU right to end of life with a bit of everything else in between! It’s always chaotic in a school just like in a hospital I suspect. Just glad of the holidays and the sun. Everything seems so much more manageable when the sun has got her hat on. So…. On Saturday we’re either going to be jumping up and down in delight with you or you’ll be on the phone to your docs then, hey. Breaking it down like that makes the next step seem soon! Are you still at 37? I’m really hopeful for you that it’s not just because the weather is warmer. It’s really cold overnight still so I don’t think it would be! Both of you looking splendid in the sun by the way.

@kitty0389 How long do your cycles tend to be? Good that you’re ovulating earlier though I think so must just be your version of normal. Glad your bloods came back all clear. Let us know when you get news on your fibroid and whether anything will need to happen. Fingers crossed for the swimmers, too! I’ve had a 23 day and a 16 day cycle which bummed me out as I am normally around 27 but the positive was more chances to try, I suppose!

I’m on CD27 today so hoping no AF. I ovulated a bit later though anyway (assuming it’s because of MC) but it could have been anywhere between CD 17 and CD21 so I may end up having a long cycle this time if my LP stays around its average of 10 days. Took a FRER this morning negative but I don’t mind. Just hoping for some clarity! I did have a bumble bee tapping on my window earlier though and a nice temp jump today 🤞🤞🤞

kaylsd · 22/04/2021 17:44

@kitty0389 I’m so glad that your results came back okay and there was nothing to particularly worry about I bet that was half the weight lifted off your shoulder! How long has your OH been waiting for his swimmer test? My hub is waiting for exact thing but not heard anything yet, tempted to pay private because I’m
Impatient because I’ve seen on here that some have waited months and this is the one thing waiting inbetween the referral to the next stage for us!!

@minthumbugs & @cyclogoose I thought I’d update you honeys together! I did my temperature this morning at “14” dpo and
Thought oooo how promising 37.2, thought right I’ll cave and do a HPT - BFN!!!!!! And thought right shit is hitting the fan now because my body clearly tries to ovulate and fail and I can’t keep waiting in limbo land for a AF to arrive when last time it was 70 days and I’m already on 60, so I rang my not so useful GP (I do feel sorry for her because I’m the worst kind of patient being from a Gynae problem 😂😂😂) so she like greeted the conversation saying my bloods are normal, so then I went into the defence mode (knowing that I’ve seen them already) as I knew they weren’t, so the more I made her go into it she decided to changer her tune that actually it does show PCOS which I knew and then started getting on that all my bloods aren’t back as I’ve not had my day 1-3 bloods I goes I know I can’t do them as I’ve not had a period since February which she then changed her tune once again and said oh right I didn’t realise we need to induce your period for you to have your last set of investigation bloods being progesterone 1-3 so she has prescribed me notheristrone, (I was like do you think it’s fair to say can you prescribe some northisterone so this can happen) which she agreed to 🤣🤣 cause there’s no point moaning at me for not having testing done when I haven’t chuffin bled to make it accurate!! So going forward ladies, I have medication for 10 days - 3 times a day; this will bring on AF 2-3 days after my last pill, then first day of blood one of the girls from work will do my test for me, based on that I have to ring them back up for them to refer us in for specialist help & still awaiting OH SA appointment in post 👀 but least I know for now that all my testing will be done in the next 2 week for the next process :)

I’m not feeling down about it, it is what it is right now and it’s out of my control, the only thing positive is that they’ll have everything shortly to prove what we all know in order to get support for our little journey for help for our bub potentially! I find it hard to be around in laws right now as it’s very baby orientated and I don’t mean to be nasty as I can imagine it’s so wonderful for them all with my little niece on the way, but some days you really can’t stand hearing about it or seeing it when you don’t even know yourself if it’s possible that we can have babies 😣 so some days I have to politely decline gatherings like tomorrow a family BBQ as the conversation is normally one way which doesn’t really involve me! But all I can say is this, I am happy, I love my life, I love my career as a nurse, I’m blessed with family & friends and my little lion cub, it’s a rocky road ahead but I know I’ve got good support around me no matter what the outcome! & I have my virtual girl gang on here to help me through my rants and tantrums 🤣🤣🤣🤣✨

Wow! This is really interesting @kaylsd are they going to do a quantitative blood test just to double check you're definitely not pregnant?

CycloGoose · 22/04/2021 17:59

Sorry @kaylsd I didn't finish writing and pressed post 🤦🏼‍♀️I found reading that so interesting because I'm so in awe of how fierce you were with that GP! Well done! I need help being that direct with mine. Sounds like she didn't have a chance. Sounds like she was quite useless! But also sounds like you have a full on action plan which is amazing.
I feel similar about the in laws but sounds like yours are worse than mine for bringing it up all the time. I think maybe because this was baby 3 they weren't too baby baby baby.
You are totally right hun. You have your girl gang right here waiting for you xxx

kaylsd · 22/04/2021 18:36

@CycloGoose

Wow! This is really interesting *@kaylsd* are they going to do a quantitative blood test just to double check you're definitely not pregnant?
@CycloGoose yes sweetheart had that done too and got that back as a negative this afternoon otherwise they wouldn't have let me go on the medication

one of my friends who's been trying the same as us 8 month rang hers up and they won't touch her until 1 year despite her being similar 12 week with no period and they litterally did nothing (this is where my sas would have been like heyup love sort it out😂😂😂 I find sometimes my GP they would only like to cover the bare minimum when actually for the little purpose I use them for, I do expect a thorough examination as stuff can be easily be missed or left if we don't keep at them!) I only think they are pushing forward with me now because of my private scan which I'm so greatful for paying for otherwise I would have been in the same situation in august of this year which starts a couple of months process, least there's a chance by now when the point is 1 year TTC I may be in the right place on the right treatment for our journey to be possible potentially:)

the only thing I can do now from now until then is create a positive mind set, exercise and eat relatively good for a good baby to be body and take everything as it comes 🥰 my hub sees it as our journey, nobody's at fault, not one person can affect the other what's my problems is his problems and same other way round, we could easily go into the defence mode of it all but we are the better people for it 😘 plus stuff like this makes a couple grow stronger together he's just gave me the biggest cuddle ever he goes come here you, we've got this even if it takes years and the advanced modern technology we've got this together☺️🥺 in terms of my In laws I just find the whole situation hard as they were told about our battle ahead, but yet they still seem to be insensitive about topics at hand, I'm hoping things might get better when the actual baby is here but who knows with them but I've just kind of learnt myself to block it out where I can and be polite when the situation gets breached with me and I quickly divert as it's something I don't have the relationship with them enough to go to with our battles ahead, I find his dad more welcoming & warming and supportive which is lovely, it's just the women of the family 🤣🤣

But I'm happy that I've got abit of structure as to what's going off, hubs is ringing tomorrow to see how long waiting time is for SA incase it's easier to pay private? As I've seen some posts on here that some people have been offered appointments back end of June / July :o

But so grateful for you and many others on here who have been apart of the girl gang from way back in February was it? How we've gone through rollercoaster rights and I'm buckling up for the next ones ahead to share with you all 🥺🥰 I would be lost if it wasn't everyone on here who's going through their own journeys both good and Rocky shall I say ✨😆🤞🏻

Ps sorry for the practice bible speech 🤓

minthumbugs · 22/04/2021 19:15

@CycloGoose oh I hadn't even thought of that! That would be absolutely amazing if I could get something to shift my cycles and even them out a bit. Feeling better now, AF for me is usually really heavy and painful - got off lightly the last 2! Think my cycles are definitely getting back to normal now. I looked into buying agnus cactus, a few people mentioned it on here but the first thing it said was 'do not take if pregnant or trying to conceive' so I didn't get any!

I feel you about not being able to think about anything else. I think about it every day! Ohhh a sweet little bumblebee hope it was bringing good luck. Good news about being at CD27 and nothing - that's exciting! Hopefully your temp stays up too. You're going to be a great mum Xx

@kaylsd ahhhh sorry it was a BFN with a high temp, your body really is playing with you! Just goes to show that doctors try to get rid of you so quickly and they expect you not to challenge them. Glad you had the knowledge and the strength to challenge them. Great news that it's all starting for you now, finally a new cycle and another chance! It's tough being around people when the chat is all baby focused. I mean I know that's all we talk about on here haha but it's totally different in real life when it's people you're close to. Especially women, you would think with potentially having been through similar things they would be more understanding but people forget too easily I think. The journey might not be the easiest but the destination will be worth it! Xx

Kitty0389 · 23/04/2021 08:43

@minthumbugs @CycloGoose. Yes I should be approaching FW, the couple of ‘normal’ cycles I’ve had have been 26days with ovulation on day 12 and 23 days with ovulation on day 10.
Shit luteal phase is definitely a thing! I’ve had cycles down to 16days, with a 7 day Luteal phase 🤦🏻‍♀️. The longest I’ve ever had was 29days! It does mean more chances, but also a lot of AF! I hope we all get a ‘normal’ one this month, whatever that means for all of us...

@kaylsd sorry to hear doctors have been rubbish. OH is only just asking for tests so I don’t know how long it will be, he has a call with the GP on Monday... fingers crossed yours moves forward soon.

kaylsd · 23/04/2021 20:45

@Kitty0389 my hub got through to GP today after 168 phonecalls at half 8 (I don't know if you guys are the same but it's a nightmare trying to get through on a morning 😂) and he's had his SA test requested, got to pick up his kit on Monday then ring the hospital which does the testing to book a time slot to hand it in, it's about 35 minutes away from my house and it has to be delivered within the hour so I don't think it's too bad if there's no traffic, I've said to use a hand warmer glove or a hot water bottle to keep it warm but saying that I don't want it to overheat it either 😂😂😂🤣 oh gosh the stuff we've got to do eh! I'm tempted to shove it down my bra (TMI) so it can be warm and snug inbetween safely without being too toasty 😂🙈

@minthumbugs @cyclogoose I actually cannot wait to have a fresh cycle in terms of the numbers anyway I think when you start to see the CD days turn into the 60s you feel like daayyyyyummmmm what you doing ovaries 😩😩😩😂 so I may be like a total new woman once my lining has shed, consider it a snake loosing it's skin, fresh as a daisy 🤣🤣🥰 I've switched my mind set to take everything as it comes now the ball is rolling I can just say I feel blessed to be taken seriously at 8 months in TTC as not many are in the same situation, gonna have a one last blast this weekend and then try different things, they say like a keto type diet may be good for PCOS so I'm gonna look into it, but yeah positive mindset, new cycle coming up soon, just trying to keep my body healthy as I can for if the chance comes for our lil bub how ever long that may be! I hope you two lovelies are okay and having the best Friday feeling! I'm off this weekend for once (I know right shut the front door!!) so I plan on having my hair done (lockdown routes since October 2020) head into a good book, dog walkies & catch up with my mum :) I hope you guys have an amazing weekend ahead 😘😘

Iloveoreos · 23/04/2021 21:58

@kaylsd wear a jacket and put it in one of the pockets. That should keep it warm

kaylsd · 24/04/2021 09:40
@kaylsd wear a jacket and put it in one of the pockets. That should keep it warm
Ah I never thought of something as simple as that 🙈 typical me over thinking! I hope your alright hunny, noticed you've been quiet, hope all is well? 😘

minthumbugs · 24/04/2021 14:50

@kitty0389 woop woop for FW! Good luck ✨ may the eggs be ever in your favour 🤣

@kaylsd omg my doctors are the same. And then 'estimated waiting time is one minute' 18 times in a row!! That's brill - Monday!! It's all happening. Wee hot water bottle 🤣 when is it you start your medication to start shedding? Haha! Thank god you didn't have to wait til the year mark, hopefully it doesn't get to that point now. Have the best weekend off! It's lovely and sunny here hope you have the same 🤩

Hope you all have a lovely weekend ✨

Kitty0389 · 25/04/2021 09:29

@kaylsd thanks for the info! I hope your OH gets everything to the clinic in time! I will keep the ideas for keeping it warm in mind for when we have to do it. We live next to a hospital so I'm hoping we might be able to do it at that one, that would be a lot easier... I hope AF turns up soon for you, such a long cycle sounds like an absolute nightmare.
@minthumbugs FW seems to be upon me already, I'm expecting a positive OPK this evening from CM & this morning's OPK. We've been trying SMEP, so lots of baby dancing coming up in the next few days... It looks like I'm going to ovulate bang on OH's birthday, which would be a nice coincidence if it worked this month. Don't want to get too hung up on it though, or I'll end up jinxing it...
We're prepping the house to start building an extension at the moment, so not like I have much time to sit around worrying about it!
Enjoy your sunny weekends Smile

Ren26 · 25/04/2021 12:13

Hi. Can I join you? The dreaded AF turned up last week for me so we're now onto month 11. I've been fairly chilled about ttc up till now but it really hit me hard this month maybe because we're getting close to the year mark. Cycle is fairly regular and fairly sure I'm ovulating. Started using opk's and temping last month so will keep going with that again. I never thought getting pregnant would be so complicated.

CycloGoose · 25/04/2021 14:38

How is everyone feeling today? I have the Sunday blues!
@kaylsd how is the northistrone going? Have you had a good weekend off? Or have I made up that you have this weekend off? Great news that your hubs' SA is getting done so soon. I really hope that's all good then you're just waiting for AF to get the ball rolling. Has there been any more animosity with the ILs? My mum calls mine the Outlaws but I actually get on really well with them the vast majority of the time.

@minthumbugs how you feeling a few days into the cycle? Have you ever been investigated for endometriosis with your AF being heavy and painful? I didn't want to touch the agnus castus either but I wonder if you could float any of the ideas with your GP? Even maybe give the inositol a go? Not that I know if it works if there's no pcos. I love the eggs be forever in your favour! Think that should be the next thread name!
@Kitty0389 so sorry to hear your cycles all over the place! My last was 16 with possibly 5 day LP but possibly no ovulation but this time I'm on CD30 so almost double so I feel your pain for sure! Good luck with the SMEP and your OPK testing later lovely. Hope you plant a little bean on OH's birthday!
@Ren26 welcome to the madhouse! Sorry to hear you had AF turning up and that you're into month 11. I'm just coming up to the end of month 9 and it has been a roller coaster for sure. Hubs is feeling it too - he says he just keeps thinking it's got to be the next time but he's taking comfort in the fact it won't be long until we can get some testing done on the NHS now. What sort of cycle length do you have? I'm impressed you have held out so long staying sane! I wish I had a bit of that - totally obsessive. How did you feel with the opks? Did they help you pinpoint the part in your cycle when you ovulated this month? Definitely hear you about it being so complicated! I am a teacher and we were really hoping we could time it so it fit in well with the holidays and have a child older in the year group but we would just take anything now! We're always here in some capacity to support xxx

I have been driving myself crazy today with tests. I do not have the willpower to hold off testing any more since the weird MC, I just want to be more sure! I was convinced I had seen a shadow of a line but it's definitely blank. Not too bummed yet as OvuSense is only saying 9dpo. I put it in Fertility Friend as well and that says 10dpo but OS is supposed to be 99% accurate. I am definitely finding this longer cycle frustrating when the others have been so short. At least it makes me feel the Ovusense has been worthwhile because if it had just been down to me, I would be convinced I was now late and freaking out even more. Shouldn't be too long now either way though until I find out.
I need to go into work this afternoon but I am struggling to motivate myself to do anything other than lie on the sofa and look at RightMove! Much love and baby dust to everyone xxx

ArtemisMack · 25/04/2021 14:59

Hi I'm new to Mumsnet. Hoping it's ok to join. We will be trying to concieve our third and last from now on! I had a coil removed 3 months ago and my periods are a bit all over the place but I think they need to regulate but will be trying nevertheless.

minthumbugs · 25/04/2021 15:16

@Kitty0389 yipeee!! You are at the exciting part. Good luck my fingers are crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 ohhh extension sounds great! That'll definitely keep you busy during your TWW and you'll be so excited to get it all kitted out I bet. How is it you're tracking, just OPKs or are you doing anything else? X

Hi @ren26 welcome. Sorry it's not happened yet! We might be cycle twins, AF came for me last week too. Are you trying for #1? Hope you're feeling ok about the start of a new cycle - hope this is the one for you!!

@cyclogoose ohhhh no sorry you are feeling down. I've been (half-heartedly) investigated for endometriosis. It runs in my family and I managed to get an ultrasound a few years ago because I would be in pain constantly. But soon after I fell pregnant with my LO and nothing came of the investigations. The pain has definitely been better since but I'm not 100% convinced I don't have it, it took my mum 13 years to be diagnosed with similar symptoms!

What is it inositol does? There are so many things I can't keep up 🤦‍♀️ we hope the eggs are in our favour but maybe we should start putting more pressure on the swimmers 🤣🤣 still no AF for you, that's a great sign!! Hope it's not coming 🤞🏻 how long til your apps say you can test? (Although I know you probably will every day anyway!) And ooooh are you planning on moving or just looking? I love searching the crazy expensive houses 🙈

I've had a relaxing weekend chilling in the sun so I've actually been ok about starting a new cycle, for the first time all year not had it consuming my thoughts. I'll do OPKs because I don't want to have to miss FW with having long cycles! But I don't think I'll do BBT again this month, think it adds more stress than anything useful for me. I have also ate far too much rubbish this weekend and a few drinks though 🙈 super healthy this week now! And back to busy busy work 😴 so making the most of my last few hours in the sun and line of duty tonight! Anyone else watch?! I'm so excited.

Baby dust to the virtual sisterhood 🤣✨💞

minthumbugs · 25/04/2021 15:17

Oh and hi @ArtemisMack sorry my book took so long to write I missed your post 🤣 welcome! ❤️ Fab so is this your first cycle trying since having it removed, or have you been not preventing and just waiting for your body to catch up? Good luck! X

ArtemisMack · 25/04/2021 15:26

Hi 😊
So basically I'm still on a period at the moment so my fertile window may crossover into May at this rate. ( Is there a May group on here lol) I had my coil removed in February. My period returned in March thankfully! And April it was a week late and is lasting longer than usual! I actually have a blood test Monday to see what my hormones are doing but I'm a pretty positive person and I think my body is still trying to regulate a bit. It would be good for me period to end any time soon. I must admit 😆
I can see that this is a biggish thread so I don't know everyones circumstances as of yet. But are there any mums on here TTC their third? Nice to virtually meet you all.
Oh and if anyone has had a coil removed and had irregular periods for a few months would love to hear from you.

ArtemisMack · 25/04/2021 15:28

And thank you! Wishing you baby dust also 😊

minthumbugs · 25/04/2021 15:37

@ArtemisMack oh don't worry we will still be here in may 🤣 that's great your period came back so soon, you hear some scary stories! And good news you're getting tested so soon as well, hope it comes back all good 🤞🏻 I'm not sure if anyone here is trying for their third, but we have a mix of all different circumstances! I'm trying for #2 and I've had an ectopic pregnancy with a tube removed a few years ago so have slightly reduced fertility but it is possible 🤞🏻 and last year we decided to stop preventing and were lucky enough to fall pregnant within about 4ish months but miscarried in Jan. So I've just started my 3rd proper cycle trying again and holding onto as much hope as I can ✨

ArtemisMack · 25/04/2021 15:51

I'm so sorry to hear about your circumstances 🥺 an eptopic pregnancy sounds pretty scary, so I can imagine that was a really difficult time. And miscarriage is obviously hard too. Before I had my boys I miscarried my first and so I can appreciate how crap that is.
I really hope it all works out for you. I'm a big believer in the power of positivity. I hope this month it's your month.
I think my fertile window is probably going to be May and so I guess that's our proper first month of TTC.
I am waiting to see what this period is doing 🤯 according to my app my fertile window is may 6-8th. Anyone with a similiar fertile window to me on here?
