Am I pregnant?!

I joined and started a thread yesterday as I was so confused about my cycle. Sorry if this post is confusing!!

My cycles have varied between 29 and 39 days over the last year and a half but they generally average at 33-35 days.

We started trying in January, and I came on my period on 6th Feb (28 day cycle so I was worried that it was early, negative pregnancy test)
So I started OPKs on 12th Feb (CD7) which were low until CD12. They were then high until CD25!

I then had my first peak reading.. and then had 4 days of peak! Today is CD29.
Took another test this morning.. still peak!

Out of frustration, I took a pregnancy test.. instantly and clearly positive.

I then took 4 more a few hours later.. all positive and clear blue says 2-3 weeks.

How is this possible?!
Im not sure! We did baby dance (is that what you call it on mumsnet too? 😂) 4 times between coming off my period and starting OPKs..

Could I of got pregnant straight after my period? Why would the tests then go high and peak?!
My period would usually be due around Wednesday next week..

Any ideas?!?
Xx

@Laurah273 just a quick thought .. is there any chance your "period" that started on the 6th of Feb could've been implantation bleed and you didn't realise ?

Laurah273 · 06/03/2021 21:31

@Genevive123 November time. Still early days, it won't feel real until after 12 weeks! Xx

@Genevive123 not sure what site you think this is, but I can assure you that 'foul language' is absolutely de rigueur here.

Laurah273 · 06/03/2021 21:33

@DropDTuning
You've clearly never struggled to get pregnant..

@DropDTuning if you don't like something about someone's post why would you comment 😂😂

@Laurah273 oh congrats that's amazing 😍😍 can't wait for my turn! Congrats again x

Genevive123 · 06/03/2021 21:33

@DropDTuning oh grow up.

raspberryk · 06/03/2021 21:34

But you probably didn’t ovulate straight after your period, you’re on CD29, quite normal to get a blazing bfp or digital 2-3.

@Genevive123 it did seem like a normal period tbh, and I did do a pregnancy test because I worried it was an early miscarriage because it wasn't my usual cycle time 🤷‍♀️

@Laurah273 ahh fair enough !! ☺️

Congrats OP!! I don’t get these comments, so nasty and unsupportive. I get you’re questioning the pregnancy test, cos I would be too in your position with your cycle etc, especially when you’re trying so hard to conceive as you doubt yourself so much!
Good luck with everything and congrats again xx

Laurah273 · 06/03/2021 21:38

@raspberryk I did think maybe because my cycles are longer, if I still ovulate around the usual time (2 weeks after period) then it would be around now that I would get a positive.

Think I've spent too long on TTC apps where they religiously push OPK tests as gospel!

This is such a bizarre thread based on some of the responses. I can only assume that there's some projection going on.

Congratulations. You're pregnant. Sounds like the later OPKs are picking up HCG and not LH which is what confused you but you wouldn't have that many positive pregnancy tests and not be pregnant.

Laurah273 · 06/03/2021 21:42

DropDTuning You've clearly never struggled to get pregnant..

Neither have you if you 'started trying in January'. Why are you pissing about with all this unnecessary nonsense?[/quote]
Yep.. started trying again in January.
After miscarriage we have had a long break..

You can go now.

DropDTuning · 06/03/2021 21:44

Good luck op. For future reference, you get pregnant from having sex and a positive pregnancy test means you're pregnant. Hope it goes well for you.

Laurah273 · 06/03/2021 21:44

@bitheby more confused by the thread than the tests 😂

Thank you! I of course googled the life out of everything and most were saying they wouldn't pick up pregnancy! Poor husband could of had a break sooner 😂

Laurah273 · 06/03/2021 21:45

@DropDTuning Thanks. Not sure why you felt the need to be so toxic when you have no idea about my life. Maybe don't do that again🤷‍♀️

Ihoeihoeihoe · 06/03/2021 21:49

@DropDTuning

For future reference, don’t comment on a post just to be dick. You become a dick by posting on a thread and singling out one part of that thread over and over, by doing this, it means you’re a dick.

An extra note for you - you don’t know everything about the OP, you’ve come across as rude unhelpful for the sake of it. Absolutely nothing wrong with not commenting.

Genevive123 · 06/03/2021 21:50

@Ihoeihoeihoe 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

bitheby · 06/03/2021 21:51

I don't think you did ovulate straight after your period. You could've ovulated around CD 13 or 14 and then got your 'peak' or positive pregnancy test 12 or 13 dpo.

Annalisa89 · 06/03/2021 21:51

@Laurah273 ignore the horrible comments. It’s awful when you’re trying so hard to become pregnant, you question everything! Good luck again xx

Fifi1086 · 06/03/2021 21:53

Why are people being so bitchy... there is nothing straightforward about ttc especially opk and pg tests. If you've been trying for long and you get a positive your mind goes crazy. Congratulations to you OP!

Laurah273 · 06/03/2021 21:55

@bitheby that would make more sense! They were high for a while over that time too.

@Annalisa89 @Ihoeihoeihoe @Genevive123 thank you 💕
