A thread for the ladies from the recent MC/MMC group and for anybody else who wants to join us as we discuss getting our cycles back on track after MC and starting to TTC again x

@dippyegg32 I have no idea if these are the same things but I had an ultrasound a while back for ovarian cysts and they noted my endometrial lining as 9mm thickness. They didn’t comment that was thick or thin so assuming normal. That was around 4 weeks after my first miscarriage I had that scan xx

@dippyegg32 I know that doesn’t necessarily help anything but I thought it may give you an idea of lining thicknesses xx

@dippyegg32 awww I’m so sorry you ended up back at the EPU. It’s so distressing to go through all of that again so soon. If they’re certain it’s not viable I really hope they’re able to rule out an ectopic pregnancy. How are you doing emotionally? Are you going to take some time off work? Thinking of you 😘 x

Aw @dippyegg32 that's awful. Feel terrible for you it's just so cruel seeing those positives then it being snatched away. Sorry for being thick, what's PUL?
Welcome @Brightspark12 - negative test 2 wks post MC is good going. I'm 2 weeks post ERPC tomorrow and still glaringly positive. Hoping to get a negative by 26th as that will be 3 week. If I'm not negative by 26th I'll phone EPU I think xx

@Brightspark12 we had the same attitude before my period 'just see what happens'! I'm ok. I'm currently on my second period post mmc. A bit gutted to not have conceived this cycle but will try again for a december baby! xx

@SuzieDeLaTour @AMS19 @Mellous completely with you ladies, I was all geared up for being super fertile!! But nope. I'm thinking of it as a lucky dip each month, if there's about a 1 in 5 chance (I'm over 35) then it might well take a few "dips" in the bag before getting a lucky egg! Feeling calmer about it all this month. Will see how long it lasts! xx

Hi there, I’m new to all this, so not sure on all the short hand etc, but I wonder if anyone can help me, I sadly had a mc at about 4/5 wks pregnant, the bleeding started 03.03.21 and stopped about 11.03.21
I did a clear blue ovulation test today which said high, if I hadn’t of conceived in Feb, this would be the normal date I would have ovulated,
I also did a pregnancy test today (earlier than the hospital advised, they said 3 weeks from bleeding) but I’m impatient, which was pretty much negative, very very faint line, so I think the miscarriage is coming to a close,
This is the confusing bit, today Iv just started lightly bleeding, (TMI brown blood) is this my period? I can’t be ovulating and have a period can I?? Am I ovulating in the next couple of days? Im going to ovulation test again tomorrow to see if it’s still high or peak, I’m so confused? Any help would be much appreciated xx

@gizmo167 oh no, I'm like the lady in our office who sighs about being 'so old' and she's just turned 26 😁. I'm sorry, I don't actually think 43 is too old at all and I will also add that I was panicking when I was 37 and first starting to ttc. The media does not help does it, scaremongering with age and fertility. I'm really hoping that the test is a BFP when you do test.

@dippyegg32 I'm so sorry to hear your news. I really hope that it ends up app being a quick process for you so that you can heal and start to feel ready for ttc again. What you are going through is heartbreaking and so unfair. We have all had our bad luck... it's time for the world to be kind to us.

@Mellous a December baby would be so lovely! Fingers crossed for this next cycle.

@Willow1982 I'm no scientist but from experience our bodies do all sorts of strange things after a chemical/miscarriage. Keep testing with the Opks and next cycle will probably be more settled ❤️

Well I've had the second lot of bloods done today... the nurse missed the vein first time round so I had to be stabbed twice 😩 I hope it's all worth it. It was an afternoon appointment so I'm really hoping I do get the results tomorrow... having to wait til after the weekend would be hideous.

Im not quite so crampy this eve and now I'm stressing that it has stopped... I can't win with myself. That and squishing my boobs which don't seem as sore 🙁. It's weird because before I had DD my boobs used to get SO sore before AF and my pregnancy they were sore and huge. But since having her it hasn't happened before AF or in any of my recent pregnancies - this one is the only one where there has been a bit of soreness. Do you think I've got a hormonal imbalance now or might it be because I breastfed for over a year. I just don't know what's going on with my body.

@cupcakesandglitter I’m so sorry for all you have been through, I’ve had 2, and thats been traumatic, so 7 losses my heart goes out to you, but you are strong! And like the others have said your body has done it before and can do it again x

@glowingtwig probably a combo of breastfeeding and the miscarriage. Don't worry your body will settle. Got everything crossed for good blood results tomorrow!!

@glowingtwig good luck with the HCG result. I have my first HCG test tomorrow but my test looked a bit lighter today so now I'm petrified! I'm quite a similar position to you, have a 22 month old and really want him to have a sibling but have had a miscarriage and 2 chemicals since he was born and various IVFs and miscarriages before. If it makes you feel better I'm 42!

Morning ladies. Officially CD1 for me, period is here in full force. My cycle is still at least 2 days shoter than I would like. My ovulation day is lovely at CD13, but praying for a better LP this cycle 🙏 going to extra B6 from ovulation to hopefully help. I've read 24 days or less is considered short. I think I'll give it another 2 cycles then speak to the GP about it if it's not improved. I'm sure right now I'd get fobbed off with it being shorter because of the mmc!

@ams19 I’m pleased your period has actually arrived now because it must be awful spotting and not knowing where you are at with it all. A heavy period is great especially after your first one was really light, Pom juice is working it’s magic.
Hope the B6 helps out. You’re right the doctors will just blame your cycle on your MMC at this stage so I think you’re doing everything right to get your body back on track xxx

@ams19 I've heard lots of positive things about B6, sounds like a good plan to get your lh phase up. If it helps, my cycles pre mmc were 24/25 days and I caught 2nd cycle of trying so it's definitely doable, although obviously didn't work out for me but I've seen success stories. Post mmc I've gone up to 28 days but still no joy. All a frustrating game of luck in thinking! xx

Thanks @DMT1982 @Seasalt1984 I'm only going to take the B6 after O day as I'm pleased with my CD13 ovulation and wouldn't want that to move. If I can just extend my LP by 2 days then that will be really helpful. The last period was a beast and a good clear out so hoping this one is just "normal" - heavy enough to be a proper period but not crazy and followed by spotting all the way to O day! The great thing about a Cd13 ovulation is end of next week I'm already back into fertile time, so it comes around nice and quickly xx

@AMS19 aw sorry af got you! At least your lp is a little longer than last month? Progress! My cycles are 32 days so annoyingly have to wait aaaages for o day at around cd18!

@Mellous yeah 10 LP isn't too bad! But 12 would be better 😂😂 when's your predicted O day for this cycle? My predicted O day for this cycle would make my due date almost exactly a year to my mmc (I didn't work that out, FF told me I promise)!

@ams19 it must have been one of the other ladies on here then that had a really light first period after their miscarriage as I expected my first one to be light but it wasn’t surprisingly.

@DMT1982 no that was me, I've just already had 2, this is my 3rd! First one was basically 2 days of spotting, next one a beast, this one let's see 😊 but yes, trying to be positive or I'll get overwhelmed by it all xx
