@Misty84 yay goodluck for you too. 25th is round the corner although from my experience waiting for my Monday consultation, it kinda feels like forever. When you want something, time just stands still.

Misty84 · 13/03/2021 19:36

@Loladoodle That’s so lovely, I’m so glad you were able to find a new relationship and one that makes you happy 🙂

@Twelvestars Well this appointment has been booked in for many months so I’m glad it’s finally nearly here!! 🙏

@Noodella18 Gosh I did not know that morning sperm were better quality! I prefer morn but OH prefers eve so we usually just dtd at bedtime (even though I’m bloody exhausted!) because there’s no way I’d be able to wake him up before work! Weekends a bit more flexibility but it all depends on peak time of course!🙄

Marvellouslymadmum · 13/03/2021 20:18

@Lexber I take pregnacare conception vitamins, ubiquinol, b6, b complex, d, c, e, epo up until ov I also drink pomegranate juice, fresh sliced pineapple including the core around ovulation time plus extra protein and iron tablets because I'm a veggie lol and I'm on decaf completely and changed to full fat milk

As far as the testing goes it's a difficult one because you've just had the coil out someone else may be better to offer advice there

sickofthisyear · 13/03/2021 21:00

@Lexber what OPK are you using. If it's cheapies then I would start to test as soon as stopped bleeding. Peak is usually hard to miss. If clear blue, they say not to start using until you have an idea of your cycle length etc- the 'computer' can't deal with someone starting too early/late and getting unexpected results for where it thinks you're up to 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Also while everyone is sharing- I gave up alcohol immediately last year when we decided to TTC. Hadn't done that this time, but going to now. Period starting imminently 😔
But have to weigh that against how long you're planning to try for and how much you'll miss alcohol. It could be a long time to deny yourself of anything nice.
I was lucky to conceive quickly on cycle #2 last year (although the pregnancy ended at 16 weeks) - if I'd been trying a long time I'm fairly sure I'd have allowed myself a drink or two by now!

They're just cheapies off Amazon @sickofthisyear so I will start right away to get a good idea just incase it comes early - I "think I ovulated around 4th by my previous dates but I can't ever be sure that's just based on a 28 day cycle of spotting/very light bleed and using an app but as AF possibly early I could possibly ovulate again or for the first time next week?! Who knows lol
I don't drink much so I have given that up although I can't remember the last drink I had?! Fingers crossed for a short wait.. cos knowing my lick the minute I can't drink I will want to! Hmm
Sorry to hear about your loss xx

Lexber · 13/03/2021 21:26

@Marvellouslymadmum why pomegranate juice and pineapple? I love both these so would happily eat/drink them!

I have gotten the pregnacare supplements. I will star them tomorrow. Xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 13/03/2021 21:55

@Lexber the pomegranate juice is full of antioxidants and is great for increasing blood flow to the uterus and also can improve sperm concentration and motility so the oh drinks it too, he also takes a list of supplements too. The pineapple has bromelain in it especially the core so you're supposed to buy a fresh pineapple, peel it and slice it then eat one slice including the core each morning on an empty stomach it's anti inflammatory so helps implantation and increases cervical mucus & balances the ph so the little swimmers aren't killed off the minute they arrive 😂 you're supposed to eat it in your fertile window

selina37 · 13/03/2021 22:01

@Marvellouslymadmum I knew about pineapple and implantation but I didn't realise about the Ph balance!

climbershell · 13/03/2021 22:24

@Twelvestars cycling and pretty much any exercise is fine for the female, but cycling isn't great for men, because of friction it heats up their balls & sperm. Sperm needs to be cool for good mobility etc. Same reason men shouldn't have laptops directly on lap or wear tight pants etc

Twelvestars · 13/03/2021 22:41

@climbershell yes I am aware about cycling and men but don’t know why I didn’t make that connection when you mentioned it 😂 I automatically assumed your reaction had something to do with heat and the female body. You know I enjoy running on the treadmill but I have read such conflicting studies and information so I feel hesitant especially during fertile week to exercise. This ttc thing has proven to be a bit too complicated 😅

sickofthisyear · 13/03/2021 23:40

Sorry if this brings the thread down, but can I just share that I'm pretty down about tomorrow? (Mother's Day). Thanks (Although I am aware I am incredibly lucky and blessed to have our daughter), for those unaware, I would have been due with DC2 in a couple of weeks but had a termination for medical reasons at 16w last Oct.

So am generally feeling a bit sad this evening.
Period due Monday- we will try again next month but I know I need to move on from TTC at some point. This is so difficult. Hugs to anyone out there feeling a bit blue tonight. x

@sickofthisyear I’m so so sorry - that must I’ve been the hardest decision of your lives and certainly understandable to feel a bit down about tomorrow. Do you have plans for the day? Take it easy and be kind to yourself xx ttc is such a journey, I’m also soul searching as to whether we continue or not.. sending lots of love and hugs xx

selina37 · 14/03/2021 08:45

@sickofthisyear thinking of you lovely 🤗😔 It must be so heartbreaking, not sure I have the words for you. This happened to a friend of mine and I know how hard it was for her. Be kind to yourself today ❤️

Lexber · 14/03/2021 09:01

@sickofthisyear sending love. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through. Take time for yourself and give yourself a chance to grieve. You are a beautiful brave lady who had a very difficult decision to make. Xxxx

Sending love to all you ladies who need it today.❤️
It can be very difficult if you've lost a parent (I feel it on father day!) or are longing to become a mother. Take care of yourselves xxx

climbershell · 14/03/2021 09:03

@sickofthisyear so sorry to hear that, it must be incredibly difficult xx

My dad has just sent a happy mother's day message to the 2 mums he knows in our family group. 😥 stings a bit, more so coz my mum's not here anymore either. Can't replace her, but boy I hope I'm a mummy nexr year

Lexber · 14/03/2021 09:21

@climbershell sending love 💕

My eldest (teen) was still in bed and I was getting hungry so I messaged the OH downstairs and told him he can practice for next year (hopefully) 🤣

climbershell · 14/03/2021 09:55

Oh no my googling has started again! I stopped pretty much totally the last week! Cd9 now tho..

Also, strange for me but I noticed CM Friday Eve prob just watery, but today seemed ewcm. Weird, deffo not near ov yet!

climbershell · 14/03/2021 09:55

@Lexber 😅

M4v3r1ck · 14/03/2021 09:57

Hey ladies, wow I can't keep up with this thread! I'll need to check in more often! 🙃

@sickofthisyear sending you love! 😘 Sending you all love, in fact, I hope many of us will be celebrating this day next year! 😘

I really echo what others have said! As I mentioned before, DH and I have been together a long time, but it just didn't feel right to try before. Everyone's different and have different priorities, but I feel we're in the best place now for this. So we're going to try and see what happens! I have high hopes for us all! 😍

@KG1145 omg! Have you tested again?! 🤞🏻

@LT103 welcome back! I'm sure I remember your name from the older threads! 🤞🏻 you get your referral ASAP!

@JessWi @02Carol @Lexber welcome! 😃 Hope I didn't miss anyone else!

@Misty84 I'm now CD11, so I believe we're cycle buddies! CB is still saying low though for me! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I swear OPKs hate me! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@TTCat39 I'm so sorry you're feeling low! I can relate to the mood swings in this whole TTC process - it's exhausting and overwhelming. If it helps, I got pregnant after 5 months TTC, and even though it was a negative outcome, that still gives me hope! Also, I was still not finding OPK peaks! So trust me, it can happen and will happen! 😘😘😘

Noodella18 · 14/03/2021 10:27

@sickofthisyear I didn't realise that, how totally gutting for you. Sending love xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 14/03/2021 11:13

@sickofthisyear hope you manage to have a good day lovely

I have teenagers (both still lazing in bed) so do get to celebrate Mother's Day but i hope you all have a lovely day, if you have little ones or don't yet we are all mummies to be too so happy mummies to be day 💐

selina37 · 14/03/2021 12:09

@climbershell I start to notice ewcm of cd6 sometimes, with ovulation on day 11/12 so nothing out of the ordinary I'd say...

climbershell · 14/03/2021 13:02

@selina37 I Nornsll don't see any til day 12 or sometimes 13, with ovulation guessed to be approx 13-15

Sleeeeeepy · 14/03/2021 13:57

Sending big hugs to anyone struggling today x
