@Katiekattty my AF is done as well! Officially gonna be dtd starting tomorrow and for the next 8 days 😅 (I still test with CB for ovulation - it’s become an addiction)

@KG1145 I also saw that line!!! It’s a bit faint but the fact that your camera captured it then it must be more visible in real. I would definitely retest but not with a digital until you’re 12 or 13 dpo or unless it’s possible to go in for a hcg blood test? And yes contact your consultant about the progesterone. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Twelvestars · 11/03/2021 19:27

@Marvellouslymadmum Once the test tap is open, it’s gushing 😅😂 I’m only just beginning to realize that myself from my experience! Anyways updates please when they get back to you!

Lexber · 11/03/2021 19:28

Thanks for the lovely welcomes Smileit was the hormonal coil and I was still regular 28 days.
I'm currently trying to figure out if this bleed is just because I had it out as I know that's possible or if it's brought on my period early?

I have bought some tests on Amazon to see if I can figure out my cycle and ovulation - it kind of makes everything feel real!

We haven't told anyone we are ttc, so this place will be a god send for me!
I feel scared, excited and nervous all at once and can't wait to get started as soon as I can...

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2021 19:30

@Twelvestars yes it's all a bit of a minefield isn't it! I was hoping to get a bit more nhs help, I'll let you know once they've got back to me

02Carol · 11/03/2021 19:54

@Noodella18 🤣🤣 That's the spirit! I love it.
Nice to have a cycle buddy, we will go through the 2ww together!

02Carol · 11/03/2021 19:56

@Noodella18 I start counting when there's need for sanitary products.

02Carol · 11/03/2021 19:59

@MarvelouslyMadMum Thanks for the eBay tip, I like the CB tests, I tried it for the first time last cycle, I managed to pick up 2 boxes in Superdrug reduced to £2 each!
So I'll be keeping my eyes peeled in there 👀

Sleeeeeepy · 11/03/2021 20:00

Welcome new ladies! This is such a great thread, though I struggle to keep up with it!

Pleased to see @Marvellouslymadmum has our foreign policy sorted 😂

My LH has been high for weeks, it's really odd. FRERs are fully negative now though and the bleeding has finally stopped so hopefully my body is resetting in some strange way. Looking forward to a normal cycle at some stage!

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2021 20:40

@02Carol wow that really was a bargain!

That's me @Sleeeeeepy 😂 you think I'd learn from my autocorrect mistakes but no! Glad your body seems to be finally getting back to some normality though

climbershell · 11/03/2021 20:59

Cd6 today, planned dtd as we haven't since last fertile window!! Need to clear out the dead sperm... But I am so so exhausted! But I think we will lol

Then planned cd8, 10,12-14/15

I think I'll start opk-ing cd8 I think. My first time doing this. I pee so frequently tho, so I'm worried it won't work well. I think I'll have to do when I get in from work and try not to drink much or pee 2hrs before..

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2021 21:04

@climbershell which opk are you using? I found the strips difficult as you're not supposed to use fmu and I drink a lot of water during the day but the clearblue you can use fmu which was way easier

climbershell · 11/03/2021 21:10

One step, so not fmu, dunno if could do second. I mean I can pee, not drink anything and still pee 10 mins later, dunno if that would be ok? I'm thinking my after work pee will be best, tbh I never drink nearly as much as I should in the day (partly coz I have to generally pee in people's shrubs lol)

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2021 21:23

@climbershell hmm no idea! I think that's why they didn't work that well for me

Kitekat81 · 11/03/2021 21:33

Hello and welcome to all newbies! 👋

@KG1145 have fingers crossed for you for a stronger line tomorrow! 🤞🤞🤞

@Marvellouslymadmum I think it differs where you are in the country, but I didn't get an AFC scan until I was referred to the fertility clinic, and they said that I couldn't get AMH tested on the NHS so I paid £125 for that one 🙈 (wish I hadn't as the result was bloody awful 😣) Also I would be wary of home SA tests - the NHS / fertility clinics won't accept the result so he'll have to do it again anyway. If you live within an hour of the lab he should be able to "produce his specimen" at home and then drop it off

Kitekat81 · 11/03/2021 21:36

@Marvellouslymadmum that is rather than doing it in the 'wank station' as @thislittlebird would put it 🤣🤣🤣

thislittlebird · 11/03/2021 22:10

Welcome to the thread @CloseYourMouthLynn @Lexber @02Carol

@Marvellouslymadmum your iron improving is great, but yeah I doubt they'd do the other tests unless they're referring you.

Some should have been done on day 3, yeah, but my GP did the same thing twice, like they aren't even aware.

I need a new private facility because £70 sounds like a bargain, they charged a lot where I went. Did AMH the same time.

AFC was anytime of the month when I went to have it done at a private clinic, they didn't seem fussed which day (it happened to be around O day so they could see the CL)

@Noodella18 feeling sorry for your dp i won't lie lol. I've always counted cd 1 from when I get any blood at all because I know the next day will be full flow, so day 1 and 5 for me are usually very light, but I count them.

I'm glad the wank station is catching on @Kitekat81 lmao

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2021 22:11

@Kitekat81 ahh that's a shame! I'm pretty sure he's be much more comfortable with one of those tests, I'm thinking he'll probably want to rename the wank station the room of shame 😂 plus I think he may get that nervous that he gets stage fright in there 😂 I'm thinking there is a clinic near here that gives a free consultation maybe I'll look into them

thislittlebird · 11/03/2021 22:19

@Marvellouslymadmum if you find a clinic nearby he can do it at home and take it in to the chamber of shame.

My husband still isn't over the woman sitting right outside in the waiting room.

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2021 22:25

@thislittlebird hopefully we will find one though at the moment he's still insisting that his swimmers must be fine as we've got pg
I haven't been able to explain that yes but that's four times in four years and all ended with mc or cp so we need to check there's no issues! I wonder in the shame rooms are sound proof? 🤔😂

thislittlebird · 11/03/2021 22:34

His swimmers may well be fine but men do make me laugh with their weirdness over the old SA @Marvellouslymadmum

Sadly I suspect they are not in fact sound proof, maybe lie and tell him they are lmao. DH said the nurse told him he had 25 minutes. He had no plans on being in there that long.

Marvellouslymadmum · 11/03/2021 22:44

@thislittlebird I know it's like someone taking a personal jab at him about his swimmers not being perfect 😂 haha I may just do that though he might get some very weird looks when he comes out if he thinks they are! A time limit too that'll help with the stage fright 🤦🏼‍♀️

Twelvestars · 11/03/2021 22:54

@climbershell omg me too! I literally spend so much of my time just peeing 🤣👌🏻 But in all fairness I average 4 to 6 litres of water per day!

Twelvestars · 11/03/2021 23:06

@thislittlebird I have come across contradictory sources and studies where AFC is recommended at the start of the cycle and then others say it’s okay anytime during the cycle. A bit confusing. I’m going to see a consultant next week but I’ll be CD8 so I really hope an AFC will be done just to get an idea. It’s gonna be around O day too for CL. Feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement.

climbershell · 11/03/2021 23:15

@Twelvestars I had to have a minor finger op in November. Nil by mouth from 2am, til I had the op at nearly 5pm. I was still peeing every couple hours just before surgery! I think part of it is my anxiety, but a fair bit of liquid was still coming out even tho I felt sick from dehydration!

Twelvestars · 11/03/2021 23:21

@climbershell believe me I so relate!
