Hi Everyone, TTC 21months now, I've done the acupuncture, fertility nutritionist, supplements, herbs, mindfulness. Issue is male factor fertility, yet apart from ICSI there isn't much out there. We start ICSI at the end of June by then it will be 2years TTC...

@notyetamumbuttrying my symptom was mostly painful sex but I had horrendously painful periods when I was younger, that seemed to stop once I went on the pill (which is the standard treatment for endo) I reckon the endo is probably why my AMH is so low and hence why the ivf is going to be more challenging. My official test day is Thursday so we shall see if its worked, if not it will be a protocol review before another round in April/May time. Given my low egg reserves time is of the essence really and I want to do one more fresh round before going back to the eggs I froze at 35 because if they don't work my AMH and egg quality are just getting lower all the time! Its shit, my friend who is 43 has a way higher egg reserve than I do and I'm only 39, just the luck of the draw unfortunately 😐

@Theawkwardblonde ah hun, it's prob the emotional side of the MC getting to you. You're probably subconsciously worried about it happening again and therefore your sex drive is low. I don't always want to either having said that but can usually get myself in the mood for it. At worst we would do it twice in FW, at best 4 times. Then like once in tww which is standard for us.
@Patsydarling hey, welcome! If the issue is male factor then I hope your Dh has changed his lifestyle? Mine stopped smoking, stopped binge drinking, did exercise, took supplements and ate more oranges/satsumas. His count went from 5mil per ml to 23. His morphology from 2.3% to 4% and so on. This took 5 months but now means we don't need icsi.
@Motherofkittens28 yeah knew that about the pill. That's why I didn't realise for so long! Interesting that's why you think your amh is low, did they tell you that? My amh is lowish for my age but my afc was a lot higher so they're a bit confused. Did your afc correlate? So much luck for Thursday! I hope another rounds not even needed but good a plan is in place! It really is luck of the draw isn't it ♥️

Last night I had a dream I had an ultrasound (well that's definitely a dream in itself haha) and it was twins!! I would LOVE twins and it would make the 2 years of infertility worth it.

@motherofkittens28 best of luck ahead of testing- what are your initial predictions for whether you are pregnant?

@notyetamumbuttrying, no my AFC didn't really correlate, it was 9 in December and my AMH is 5.2 but during the ivf round there were only ever 5 follicles, which is what they said they would expect given the AMH. Just unlucky for me that one never grew and three were empty! I've read up a lot on endo over the years and they think it effects your egg quality etc but they haven't done enough research to be really sure (like anything that only effects women!). When I was younger and had my eggs frozen my AMH was 7.9 and I ended up with 6 eggs from about 12 follicles i think. So for me AMH has always been more indicative really.

@Annny27 I'm not feeling very confident, although a very high percentage of people on my feb/March ivf thread have had positives i just feel in my gut i won't be one of them. Its really sad as I started off feeling super confident when the embryo went back in but that feeling has just tailed off. I'm still spotting a bit, this is now 5 days off spotting so don't know what to think about that! Guess we will see on Thursday!

@Annny27 twins would be so fantastic wouldn't it! Yeah knocks £1300 off if we're going to go private! 😬

@Motherofkittens28 thank you, that's so interesting! The private clinic wanted to redo my amh as they were so confused by the higher afc. That was 12, amh was 5.4 and I'm 34 (for 5 more days). Do you think it's worth getting it redone? It was only done last month, I guess they want to see for themselves. Right now I'm confused over whether my egg reserves are low or not 😖

Thank you for the wishes. I dont want to give myself false hope but I have seen a temp rise since Wednesday, although only on a standard thermometer. Wednesday it was 36.1, Thurs 36.5 and today its 37. It probably doesn't mean anything at all but I'm in that "anything could be a symptom" stage!

@Annny27 oh my god I would love twins. My daddy's wife last 3 ivfs failed and her very last two eggs stuck and we have the most beautiful little twin girlies in our house. They are 2 now 😭❤️ I'm the oldest of 14 kids in two houses and I can't even get one myself ✌️ think my mummy used up all my fertility haha

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah I'm normally regular every 24/25 days but they put me on norethisterone so it's delayed it 😫 it needs to start by tomorrow. I can feel things starting but not convinced she will be here by then. Argh!
I would also get AMH retested if I were you just to see. I have had it done twice and the first was 37 and second 44, so they can vary.

@Theawkwardblonde my sex drive went completely after 18 months ttc. Stopped last month as we weren't allowed cos of IVF and sex drive has come back a bit so I think you are probably just burnt out.

@Motherofkittens28 good luck for Thursday. Hopefully temp rise is a good thing, I don't think anyone knows whether it's gonna be BFN or BFP with IVF, some people have no symptoms and think it's failed and it hasn't and vice versus.

@Crazydoglady123 hope you feel a bit better, I did see clomid can have some rough side effects 😕❤️

@Theawkwardblonde no I totally get you, I usually have a very high sex drive, drive the oh up the walls at times too 🤣 but you do get a bit burnt out ttc, and especially during the 2 week wait when your just a bit stressed it can be the last thing on your mind ❤️

Hi @notyetamumbuttrying my DH is the most healthiest person ever, even the fertility nutritionist has just recommended some vitamins. Unfortunately he had a virus when he was younger which has affected the concentration. Honestly I'm so surprised we haven't been able to fall pregnant naturally, he still has sperm, just a low amount. Great to hear that your husbands went up though. Everything has come back fine with me since I made some lifestyle changes. My male boss sent a message to our team WhatsApp group saying happy mothers day ladies and naming them all, I'm the only female without a child. I muted the conversation.
