We're a mixed bunch of ladies ttc with all sorts of issues, mainly of the male factor kind! 😏 Though there's a range of reasons over here, come join if you've been in the ttc game for a long time and had nearly every test under the sun ☀️ and heading for interventions. There's ivf chat as well as natural. Buckling up for the ride of their lives are our usual riders: 😎

I agree with @notyetamumbuttrying frer should def give you a more reliable result

PeanutButterBrownies · 07/03/2021 17:58

@Aimzie it's awful! Did you get much spring cleaning done today? You're so patient waiting for lunch time tomorrow for your tests - I would be out first thing in the morning Grin that definitely is a line! I was a little confused by what you said about your RHR but your tone sounded promising??

2020mission · 07/03/2021 22:19

Finally caught up with the thread. Took a few days as I had a short MN break this weekend until AF finished.

@SlothMamaToBe @Crazydoglady123 @Justbecause88 another 1988 lady here 🙌 I have a March birthday too. Going to struggle to celebrate as I was hoping to have a baby before I turned 33 and now I'll be hoping it's before 34 😬

You all seem to be well progressing with tests so hopefully I can use your knowledge after I've had this first doctors appointment in a week. Is it sad that I think that a morning doctors appointment as a good way to my birthday? 😅 Anything that gets me closer to a baby is a good thing.

I'm worried that my doctor won't be willing to help us yet as I've had 2 chemicals during my 15 cycles TTC but I'm going to push for tests as I'm getting spotting before AF every month for up to 5 days and I think it's unlikely the 2 chemicals were a fluke. Would you all tell the doctor about the chemicals if you were me or keep quiet initially so they will progress with bloods and SA?

@Aimzie I'd definitely get out a FRER 🤞

@notyetamumbuttrying I can beat your 21 day cycle with my 19 day cycle in October... definitely messed up!

Marvellouslymadmum · 07/03/2021 23:43

@2020mission I wouldn't worry about your age as you're still in the 'good fertility' stage! I'm 42 this month so nit so lucky lol
Looking forward to the docs is not crazy at all as I have an appointment on Tuesday for blood tests I'm pretty excited for 😂
It shouldn't make any difference having 2 cp for the doctors to start doing tests, I think it only makes a difference to being referred for ivf from what I understand.

Aimzie · 08/03/2021 09:07

@PeanutButterBrownies ha sorry that was kind of confusing 😆 so my usual rhr for the last 10months or so is usually 65-72, but the last few weeks my resting heart rate is now 75-90.. So I think that's good 😁
No af 18dpo, temp still up 😃
Although I keep looking at my chart and think there's a high chance that I ovulated 2 days later than I thought 🤔
So still staying pessimistic about it all lol

Marvellouslymadmum · 08/03/2021 09:20

@Aimzie I'm impatient for you to take your frer today yet you seem calm 😂

For those thinking of buying a ferti-lily I'm on a thread of ladies with one and one of them just got her bfp first month of using it after almost a year ttc! I've read reviews saying stuff like that but it's nice to hear of an actual person! They're supposed to be great for those with mf issues too as it helps the little guys find their destination (I had to just lol as my phone tried to autocorrect mf issues to mr issues 😂)

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/03/2021 09:34

@2020mission ooh didn't know you were a March baby. Weird how I lot of us our March born! Is your Dh feb by any chance? We found out a lot of ours were lol! I thought I'd have a baby before I got to 35, then it turned into being pregnant before I'm 35, now I'm just hoping I'll get pregnant and have the baby whilst still being 35! Back in my heady days of first ttc I wanted to have the baby at 34 and be onto my second by the time I was 36. 😆 laughable now isn't it! The doc will prob ask you btw as they ask if you've been pregnant before. I don't think that was straight away from memory. Ooh a 19 day cycle defo beats my 21, so nuts isn't it!
@Marvellouslymadmum ooh thanks, need to look into this again!
Afc today at 4! Hope she tells me there and then?! It's private so I hope so! 🤞🏾
@Aimzie good luck for this afternoon!

OP posts:
Crazydoglady123 · 08/03/2021 09:49

@Aimzie good luck testing today 🤞

@2020mission yay another '88 baby! I hate any occasion that passes tbf, Xmas, other half's birthday etc...in my head all time I want to make a special announcement and never happens 😒 Glad you're finally getting seen though! Is it with your gp to get referred to gynaecology/fertility clinic?

@Marvellouslymadmum am off to add one of those to my Amazon basket 😅

@notyetamumbuttrying that's exactly the same as me about mine tomorrow...I want to know how many haha! Bloody paying for it! Good luck with the scan

Annny27 · 08/03/2021 10:05

Morning :D just had my AMH test and will get results on Wednesday!

@marvellouslymadmum same haha I am impatient for @aimzie to take her frer and fir @notyetamumbuttrying to get the SA back hahah

Btw ladies what's the deal with pineapple in the tww??

Crazydoglady123 · 08/03/2021 10:14

@Annny27 aw well done! My AMH and AFC is tomorrow but have to wait until next Tuesday to go over the results with the consultant 🙄

Pineapple core is good to help with implantation. I was reading the other day they say for women doing ivf to eat it on an empty stomach morning of the transfer

Motherofkittens28 · 08/03/2021 10:32

@Annny27 @Crazydoglady123, I had my pineapple on the way to embryo transfer and ive been having it each morning before anything else since. I read to keep it up for 5 days after ET as well as it might help implantation, its worth a shot as it can't hurt!

Crazydoglady123 · 08/03/2021 10:37

@Motherofkittens28 will definitely be doing that then! How are you feeling?

Annny27 · 08/03/2021 10:39

@crazydoglady123 good luck for yours!!!

@Motherofkittens28 ahh yeah it's worth giving it a go! Any niggles or symptoms?

Motherofkittens28 · 08/03/2021 11:01

@Annny27, @Crazydoglady123, im feeling ok, a little crampy, presume that's the progesterone suppositories. My chest is huge and aches, but I think that's from the hcg trigger shot, takes a while to get out of your system. Im feeling very positive that our one and only is the one, I've been talking to it and telling it I hope it snuggles in and grows nicely, certainly can't hurt! Getting a little bored with being at home and off work, certainly won't be feeling that way when I'm back at work!

2020mission · 08/03/2021 11:30

@notyetamumbuttrying DH's birthday is April rather than February so I'm afraid I've ruined that streak 😆

@Crazydoglady123 its just a fertility consultation with the GP I don't think they will refer me anywhere yet... it's been 15 months we've been TTC but did have the 2 chemicals so doubt they'd refer me to either a fertility or recurrent miscarriage clinic yet. I'm expecting/hoping the GP will at least book bloods and SA.

Did anyone else check the qualifications/specialities of your GP before your first appointment? 😅 I don't know which I'll be speaking to but 1 has a Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning, another has a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and then there's 2 others with no listed specialities. Fingers crossed for the one with the most knowledge in fertility! Typical that it's the man that's got the Gynaecology qualification 😂 the rest are female doctors.

Looking forward to some good news @Aimzie 🤞

Aimzie · 08/03/2021 11:34

Oh no I'm not calm about it at all, I'm more scared now to do it incase its negative 😭😭
I'm just kind of expecting AF to surprise me, but the longer she stays away the better.. I hope 😭😭

Crazydoglady123 · 08/03/2021 11:49

@Annny27 thank you!

@Motherofkittens28 aww I'm positive too for you! I bet it's hard being at home and itching to test. Not long now!

@2020mission I went to my gp after a year of TTC and asked for a referral to gynaecology. He did do basic bloods and SA for OH too but I was just thinking if you could get referred and not tell the doc about your CP's but when you get referred, tell the gynae consultant about them? In my experience GP's are okay but the consultants are far more specialist and knowledgable.

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/03/2021 12:12

@Crazydoglady123 thank you honey! And same to you for tomorrow.
@Annny27 aw bless ya lol! We've heard naff all this morning so will be asking Dh to call up yet again 🙄 this afternoon! So pineapple core is meant to help implantation 🤷🏾‍♀️
@2020mission damn you 😝 still close tho 😉
@Aimzie what time are these tests turning up then?

OP posts:
Aimzie · 08/03/2021 13:56

Hopefully be there when I get home from work around 5ish. Il defo keep you all posted 😘.
Still no sign of AF, so strange woke up with lower back cramps and sore boobs, so thought it came when I was training this morning too but no sign🙄
So strange I'm waking everyday with pms symptoms, stuffy nose and they've disappeared during the day the last few days 🥺

Marvellouslymadmum · 08/03/2021 14:05

@notyetamumbuttrying good luck for your afc! I really think they should tell you straight away if they can as it saves all the stressing!

@Crazydoglady123 😂 I just think anything's worth a go at this stage lol

@Annny27 I've added an article about the pineapple, it explains better than I can! www.ohbabynutrition.com/blog/pineapple-for-conception-brazil-nuts-for-implantation

@Motherofkittens28 still keeping everything crossed 🤞🏻for your little embaby to hang on in there!

@Aimzie have you tested? You seemed calm before lol

crazycatlady1981 · 08/03/2021 14:31

@Aimzie can’t wait for you to test! It all sounds great with the RHR going up and still no af!! 🤞🏻

@notyetamumbuttrying good luck with your afc today!

Just had our fertility appointment at the hospital along with our final blood tests.
Once they’re back, we will get a Zoom appointment booked with the consultant at the satellite clinic and then should start ivf on my next cycle after that!! Yay! So should be by May at latest I think!! Apparently there’s no funding wait time here because if you fit the criteria, you are automatically funded.

notyetamumbuttrying · 08/03/2021 14:32

@Marvellouslymadmum thanks! Here's hoping they will. It's at 4pm. How's things with you?

@Aimzie we'll both be giving updates around the same time I reckon.

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 08/03/2021 14:34

@crazycatlady1981 wow that's amazing that there's no waiting time! How wonderful! We might be starting around the same time. I'm hoping it'll be April for us if we do private. Thanks for the luck for today.
