@Aimzie ooh that looks like a little line to me!! Call him and get him to buy some in his way back!

Aimzie · 05/03/2021 16:11

@Marvellouslymadmum he's on duty overnight omg I'm freaking out.
I have a digital stashed away for months only when I'm certain cos I know there not too sensitive, how am I gona wait to tomorrow 😭 okay 1 more day and il know for sure, cos that will be the longest luteal phase il ever had. I'm shaking need to calm myself down..

Annny27 · 05/03/2021 16:21

Omg @aimzie I hope this is it!!!!! Deffo test in the morning :D best of luck!!!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker my husband has sub morphology of 2% but now it's up to 6% so I reckon it is a factor in our infertility even if they do say everythings normal!

@tofu35 yep it feels like a "we arent sure" diagnosis 🤪🤪😂

@notyetamumbuttrying ahh I am frustrated too haha - I hope you to get your SA results soon!

kerrym87 · 05/03/2021 16:36

@Aimzie long shot but could you look at home delivery order online from a supermarket? Anyone you can trust to drop you one off? Doesn't look like an evap to me x

Aimzie · 05/03/2021 17:15

😭😭 Oh god I really hope it is.
I think il wait to the morning to he gets home and go grab one, I've one ic left there too..just need to find the will power to leave it to the morning 😅 it kind of disappeared when it dried so now I don't trust it at all 😭

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/03/2021 17:19

@Aimzie you're probably better off waiting until the morning anyway as it'll be fmu and hcg increases every 48 hours so you may get a better line 🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/03/2021 17:19

@Marvellouslymadmum so painful 😖 I'm starting to think they didn't do it or something and are stalling! We'll have a whole weekend to wait now too as I doubt they'll call tomorrow...
@Aimzie it looks like a faint line to me too although I don't know the difference between them and evaps! Aw bless you, can understand you feeling nervous about it.
Thanks @Annny27 2% to 6% is incredible! I hope my dhs goes up that much!! His was 2.3% as well low count and motility so basically well and truly stuffed 😂
Good idea @kerrym87 or Amazon prime and you can get it next day then! They're always in stock etc @Aimzie

hi folks!

I popped onto the previous thread but ended up in a super busy period at work and completely lost track of all the posts!

Since them, my DP has had the results of his first SA and it wasn't good - no sperm found. I'm just trying to process all of it but I am completely devastated. I managed to reassure him so much that he seems ok, so now I feel I need to hide my sadness so it doesn't bring him down. I know there might be an explanation and a way to resolve it but it feels hopeless right now. We're waiting on our clinic appointment now.

I have found all your posts such helpful sources of information - I feel I can't talk to anyone irl so thank you all for sharing your different experiences. I just need to hope there's a positive resolution for us somehow.

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/03/2021 17:48

@BrightSideRightSide so sorry you find yourself here. If it's because of a blockage like a varicocele then surgery can reverse that so defo still hope. When will you hear what is next and what is next? Mine was referred to a urologist who gave him blood tests and a scan of his testes.

OP posts:
Narwhal88 · 05/03/2021 17:58

@BrightSideRightSide so sorry, we have MFI but zero sperm must sound so scary. I would say do not rely on just 1 SA. You need at least 2 if not 3 to get a reliable diagnosis, especially with azoospermia. It could just be low count but the only bit they looked at had no sperm - they don't check the whole specimen. Or it could just be a random one off. If he does have azoospermia then they can check a few things to see if they can find a reason. You can also do microTESE to see if there is sperm they can extract direct from the testicle. All hope is not lost even if it feels like it. I know what you mean about trying to pretend you are not sad in front of him as I did the same, then completely broke down a few weeks later as I couldn't bottle it up. It took me over 6 months to fully process our infertility.

BrightSideRightSide · 05/03/2021 18:01

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks for your message! That's really helpful to hear! I think he's panicking about what they might do to him but I'm sure he can cope with blood tests and a scan Grin

So, it's all a bit unclear. He basically got a call from a receptionist at the GP surgery saying not much more than "your results came back, you have no sperm - call the doctor if you need more information". He finally got hold of a doctor today who explained things a bit more and said that he could repeat the analysis so he's got that booked for 31 March and in the meantime, we're waiting for our clinic appointment. We just feel completely in the dark about it all really - the call was a bit of a shock, especially with the lack of info about next steps.

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/03/2021 18:15

@notyetamumbuttrying that's so frustrating! I can't believe they're not calling you back.

Hi @BrightSideRightSide I'm sure there will be something that can be done, I'm worried about something like that with my oh but he hasn't had an a yet. I really need to get my other half to get checked but he's a nightmare! It's shocking that the receptionist just delivered the news like that! Do they not realise the detestation they're causing!

notyetamumbuttrying · 05/03/2021 18:17

@BrightSideRightSide yeah they'll start with that if it's a urologist he'll see first.
A repeat test that soon is good! Is he on supplements? The leading two are impryl and proxeed plus. Does he smoke and drink? He'll need to stop those if so. Exercising helps motility. Healthy eating etc. Were you given any timeframes on the clinic referral?

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 05/03/2021 18:19

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah it's maddening!!
You defo need to push yours to get seen. Turn on the water works if you think that might help move him. As bad as it sounds my Dh realises things are bad if I start crying as I don't do it often.

OP posts:
Narwhal88 · 05/03/2021 18:24

@notyetamumbuttrying haha my husband is exactly the same as I never cry so it makes him freak out.

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/03/2021 18:33

@notyetamumbuttrying I would but he seems to one of two ways when I cry, either very sympathetic and helpful or a bit cross 😂 I think this is because he freaks a bit @Narwhal88
will have to time it right lol

Annny27 · 05/03/2021 18:37

I think my husband wishes I didnt cry often haha! I cry all the time 😂😂 @narwhal88 @notyetamumbuttrying

@brightsiderightside sorry about your sperm analysis news :( that's rubbish they way they delivered it to you!

Crazydoglady123 · 05/03/2021 18:50

@Marvellouslymadmum I'm okay thank you. Waiting for Af so I can start Clomid 🙄

@Tofu35 well done on your consultation! Annoying it's all unexplained though!

@notyetamumbuttrying can't believe you're still waiting for the results! I've managed to get all my history over to the IVF clinic now 🙌

@BrightSideRightSide as said 2 different samples do vary a lot. Fingers crossed 2nd one is an improvement 🤞

So got some of my blood test results off my docs today to give to the IVF clinic and I was looking at the blood test to see if I have PCOS. My consultant said not PCOS but my LH level is 7.9ul and FSH 3.7ul. Was it this thread someone talked about the ratios or does anyone know? Reading up it seems it should be 1:1 but 2:1 or 3:1 indicates PCOS...

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/03/2021 19:11

@Crazydoglady123 is she due soon? Never arrives when you want her, only when you want the 🧙‍♀️

I don't think it is this thread, but that's deffo 2:1 so maybe get a second opinion on that one?

RobinRose · 05/03/2021 19:15

@Crazydoglady123 I would be interested to know the ratio too, I think my FSH levels are hjgh but the gp wasn't concerned?
FSH level 13.2 iu/L
LH level 7.0

How do you all keep your mental health in check with this shit? Mines taking a battering at the moment 😞

kerrym87 · 05/03/2021 19:37

@Crazydoglady123 it was me I think - LH and FSH are supposed to be 1:1, mines 2:1 but still in 'normal' range.
@RobinRose Not sure what high FSH can mean, I think that your body is in a slightly higher stimulation mode to get your ovaries to develop follicles or can happen naturally as you get older, but if it's still in normal range its probably ok. Have you had your afc and AMH checked with fertility clinic I cant remember how far you've got so far I'm sorry x

crazycatlady1981 · 05/03/2021 19:45

@Aimzie so exciting! Really hope it’s a bfp!!🤞🏻Everything crossed for tomorrow!

@RobinRose I’ve just started going for a walk every morning! Finding it very therapeutic and definitely takes my mind off things!

@Motherofkittens28 good luck for your transfer tomorrow!

@notyetamumbuttrying @Narwhal88 my DH is exactly the same! I rarely cry or get upset but I had a full on meltdown about ttc last month and he’s really stepped up since then! 😊

Marvellouslymadmum · 05/03/2021 19:52

@RobinRose I do yoga and Pilates which help keep me calm

RobinRose · 05/03/2021 19:53

@kerrym87 I think it should be between something and 11 so slightly high? Hopefully it isn't an issue. Not had those tests yet, I have my telephone consultation booked for April 1st so hopefully they can give me some idea what tests we might need and the next step.

@crazycatlady1981 I might have to start doing that! I have some weights at home but I just have zero motivation !

Motherofkittens28 · 05/03/2021 20:36

Thank you @crazycatlady1981 I'm getting really nervous, just praying I dont get a call in the morning and that my embaby has made it to blastocyst! The last two weeks have just been such a horrific emotional rollercoaster, I dont think i could take bad news .
