Especially for you
I wanna let you know what I was going through
All the time we were apart
I thought of you
You were in my heart
My love never changed
I still feel the same

Especially for you
I wanna tell you I was feeling that way too
And if dreams were wings, you know
I would have flown to you
To be where you are
No matter how far
And now that I'm next to you

No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

Especially for you
I wanna tell you, you mean all the world to me
How I'm certain that our love was meant to be
You changed my life
You showed me the way
And now that I'm next to you

I've waited long enough to find you
I wanna put all the hurt behind you
And I wanna bring out all the love inside you, oh

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

You were in my heart
My love never changed
No more dreaming about tomorrow
Forget the loneliness and the sorrow
I've got to say
It's all because of you

And now we're back together, together
I wanna show you my heart is oh so true
And all the love I have is
Especially for you

poppy I was told day 1 or 2 - my GP seemed to think day 3 was too late (contradicting all other people's experience on here ) Right PITA that turned out to be when AF kept arriving on a Saturday! Took 4 months before I could get a day 2 test done! GRRR!

(((hugs for Ready))). Its OK to be down here - I find it a good way of being OK in RL. Hope you're feeling more your usual self soon.

I've got no idea re blood tests - except they take a heck of a lot when you go to recurrent mc unit (have another appointment come through for April - tests can take 6 weeks to come back). Its really awkward when you have to have 'timed' events or have things done at specific times isn't it. When I was having mp treatment I had to have an injection every other day for 7 days then 7 days off - to start with I had to travel to Sheffield every time, but managed to persuade them to let me take away 3x injections back to home and take them in to the Doctors. This meant that I had to do a series of bookings for the Doctors (this was when they had a Saturday morning emergency surgery so were in then anyway) - trying to get the receptionists to make lots of appointments like this was a nightmare - they couldn't understand that I needed a series every 2 days early on in the day including Saturday morning. It was a lot less hassle than travelling down to Sheffield each time though.

toomuchtimeonline · 19/02/2008 10:01

Big hugs ready - take as long as you need (I couldn't face MN for months when I hit my bleak period..)

.. sorry I haven't had time to catch up yet - work are working me to the bone at the moment - promise to catch up properly soon..

Thanks guys - Ready sometimes a break can be good. I have decided to have this HSG done and then have three months off. Am alittle sick of blood tests and appointments just want to feel 'normal' again. It is so difficult when ttc as in RL we cont with this everythings ok yet your body is aching to have a BFP and it seems to spring into your mind all the time.

Had to listen to people at work moaning about their lack of sleep today, was very sympathetic but part of me was sad as their youngest child was due same week as mine. They always think I'm so carefree and always meeting friends for lunch and going out. It is good to have mn to voice the other side.

Hope everyone is ok - weather tends to help everyone feeling

hobnobs · 20/02/2008 15:34

Gosh - not had a chance to pop on for a few days and looks like I've missed a fair bit. Ready If you're reading this, sending you big hugs - you've been so positive and supportive for everyone else on here. Hope you take the time out you need.

Scorpio I remember lurking on some of these threads last year and seeing you get your BFP - I can't believe how quickly the time has gone.

Gilly Thanks for sharing about your appointment with the specialist. It's good to know what to expect if we go down that route. I have an appointment with the GP tomorrow to follow up my Day 21 test - not quite sure whether that will lead straight to a referral. In theory, DH should be able to get the results of his semen analysis this afternoon which would be useful to know but not sure he'll have a chance to ring and get them and I know they won't disclose them to me which is a bit of a pain.

Big wave to everyone else.

mistlethrush · 20/02/2008 21:29

Its really silly isn't it - you're going for tests as a couple, you go to appointments as a couple, but you can't get the test results for each other when its more convenient to do that...

nomoremagnolia · 20/02/2008 21:38

Hi all, sorry I've not been around much, have been feeling rather detached from tryingtc recently. However, we've heard today from the clinic we've been referred to (and it's the one I wanted) and they've invited us to attend a presentation/meeting to introduce us to the clinic/staff/process and it's in 3 weeks time! Unfortunately DH will be out of the country so we'll have to wait for the next meeting but I am really pleased that we are at least moving in the right direction and we didn't have to wait too long either! Hopefully the treatment will be this straightforward too [desperate clutching at straws face] [completely deluded face]

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 21/02/2008 08:47

That's good news Nomore - good that there isn't too long to wait. A bit at there being an 'introduction' evening - we just bumped along from one appointment to the next when we were going through this sort of thing, although we did end up with a very good consultant - and it was really helpful that was already 'under' him when had all the mp problems.

We've missed another month - me washed out after A&E episode and dh has a man cold so apparently not up for anything !

scorpio1 · 21/02/2008 09:33

thats good nomore and yes. lets hope treatment is that quick and easy!

i am working on assignments today. arse. have 3 to hand in before i have Millie; am going to just knock them out in a couple of weeks and then rest before B-DAY!

poppy75 · 21/02/2008 12:15

hello guys - nomore glad your appointment is soon, it just makes you feel more in control when things move on.

MT hope you are feeling back to normal now after you A&E nightmare

I have postponed my HSG for two weeks. This means that I won't be able to ttc this month as it will be on day 19 or something like that. It is wierdly a slight relief at least I won't have the disappointment this month and have booked trip to NYC next month. So I can now really look forward to that and not have 'will I be PRG or not' in my mind. I've also decided to get all my injections upto date as I'll have 6 weeks before I could possibly get pregnant.

It feels quite good that after HSG will just do things because want to without the day count down in my head!!!

Hopefully my FSH results should be around Friday or early next week and can see if what quality eggs I've got! Never in a million years did I ever think I'd have to do all this to have a baby, what a wierd process this ttc is!!

I had a really strange dream that I was 9 months pregnant the other night and going into labour, it was strangly relaxed but a really vivid dream. Woke up quite confused Apparently in dream analysis it means I am going to get a financial bonus!!! Watch this space

Now am off to think of all the fab things I can get in NCY!!

hobnobs · 22/02/2008 15:16

Well went back to see GP yesterday and she's given me a hospital referral (just need to negotiate my way through the NHS online system of "Choose and Book"). Typically, the hospital which would be most convenient has a longer waiting list though it's around a month which isn't too bad.

DH has been told he has to do his semen analysis again as it leaked He's adamant it was all properly sealed but as he was a bit stressed out by the whole thing, hopefully it will be easier the second time. Says he doesn't expect there to be any problem and that it's just a matter of time for us. Haven't got the heart to tell him that it is often a male problem. Typical male bravado! Will cross that bridge if we need to.

Great news about the appointment Nomore .

Mistlethrush Sorry it's not been a good month. I thought we were doing so well and DH very cooperative until a misunderstanding meant that he thought I'd ovulated a day ealier than I did, so he was off duty. By the time he got home from work late, he was far too knackered for anything. Resulting conversation all a bit stressful. It certainly puts its strain on relationships at times, all this TTC, doesn't it! Poppy Agree with you about all the efforts we have to go to being a bit weird. Suppose there's still a big part of me hoping it will just happen but at least we've agreed that we should press on with further tests etc in the meantime.

Hello to everyone else and have a good weekend.

poppy75 · 22/02/2008 15:44

Hello guys - have just got results back and am alittle confused. My blood results on day 1 were FSH 6.1, LH 6.3 but my oestradiol was 91. After looking on web this could indicate a low ovarian reserve! Can't seem to get a definitive answer anywhere, but am quite disappointed as there doesn't seem to be any treatment for it.

Does anyone know anything about this? Or have I just left things too late??? Feel quite down about it, wonder if I had my priorities wrong and should have tried before I was 30 ?!?! TTC really is the pits!!!

poppy75 · 22/02/2008 16:04

Hello again - have just realised that the units that my test for oestradiol were different to Zita Wests book. So I have used my calculator and thankfully it is 25, which I think is normal!! Hurrah!!! Am much relieved now

Can enjoy weekend without guilt over career and travelling in my 20's. God ttc does make you go through rubbish emotions. If this ever works I will never want a blood test again!!!!

Hope everyone is having a good day. Was cake day at work today so scoffed lots of naughty things, have officially fallen off the healthy wagon!!! It does feel good

hobnobs · 22/02/2008 16:56

Hooray! Poppy I'm glad it's worked out ok.

I have a question for those of you who have been referred to the hospital for further tests. My GP suggested that my DH attend the first appointment with me but I wondered how likely it is that he'll need to attend other appointments. So far, I've had a Day 21 progesterone test which was fine and he's done (well needs to re-do) the semen analysis. Although she mentioned a laporoscopy, I've got no idea what other tests the referral might involve but would imagine that he will be less involved than me.

Am trying to decide between a hospital which is more convenient for DH's work but has 34 day wait for appointments and another one which has only 10 days. Not sure if the 34 days wait is symptomatic of delays in future appointments.

Hi all - still not feeling quite normal - more washed out than normal, and certainly with a shorter temper - and ds seems to be particularly good at winding me up. But OK.

Hobnobs - dh came to some of our appointments, but definitely I had to attend more times. Don't know what to advise you - perhaps you could query how long appointments take to come through after you've had the first one.

Hoping for a quiet weekend: could do with some extra rest. What would be really good was if ds sleeps as late over the w/e as he did this morning (7am!!!!). You have no idea how wonderful it is not to get up before then! Bet he won't though, more likely to be 5.45.

PiggyPenguin · 25/02/2008 07:51

I guess we were all just too busy to post over the weekend! We are re-decorating a couple of bedrooms in preparation for new baby (24 weeks now, how is that possible?) so am losing internet connection for long periods. Will try to keep up but in the meantime, hello everyone, and hope you are all ok.

Oh, and Nomore, congrats with the early appointment, its a shame you have to cancel but at least things are moving.

nomoremagnolia · 25/02/2008 14:06

Hobnobs We were both asked to attend the first meeting together. I would choose a clinic where they have good results/reputation rather than by convenience of location, but at the end of the day it's up to you. We chose to go to one nearer to my place of work than DH's as I would be the one going for appointments more often (based on the theory that he would never need to attend without me - it would either be both of us or just me)
Sybil Hello, nice to hear from you. Can't believe you're 24 weeks already I know I could work it out but when are you due?
We're off to the ivf clinic for our initial meeting tomorrow! I rang to say we couldn't make the date they gave us and the very lovely lady offered us a cancellation. So I am totally shocked and trying to think of all the things I want to ask. Any suggestions?

nomoremagnolia · 25/02/2008 14:07

oh, and the clinic we chose had the better results too - have a look on the HFRA website for this.

Gilly - no follow up booked as yet, so I'm a bit - don't know whether to phone the doctor to see if they did write the letter for me or what.

No, I'm definitely not anaemic, even though I'm vege. One great thing to eat is carob (you can buy it in a flour version from proper wholefood shops so you can add a teaspoon to breakfast cereal, yoghurt or milk or something) - it is a really good way of boosting iron and is very effective, much more effective than pills. I know this as I managed to get my levels up to almost normal in one week rather than the 3 they thought that it would take on the iron pills they gave me after I got discharged after 2nd d&c when I was border line needing a transfusion.

Nomore sounds a good clinic to choose, whatever the website was. I think HEFA would be better (heiffer!) under the circumstances.

hobnobs · 26/02/2008 10:34

Hi everyone

Thanks for the advice about hospitals / clincs. In the end, I choose the hospital near DH's work, largely as I work from home so have more flexibility plus it seems to have a slightly better reputation, though none of our local hospitals seem to be that great . (This is just the first stage - if we need to go down the route of assisted conception, they'll refer us on to a fertility clinic and will certainly need to look at the HFEA website then). Need to hurry DH into re-booking his semen analysis - at the moment I'm not sure that he'll have the results before I have the initial appointment which is a bit frustrating.

Mistlethrush Hope you got the quiet weekend you needed and that DS has been behaving himself.

Big wave to everyone else. It's a lovely day here - blue sky and sun (though probably cold outside!) Almost spring!
