9DPO and fighting the urge to test

9DPO and AF due 2nd March. Fighting the strong urges to symptom spot and test. Wasted money last month with early BFNs so I am determined to wait until AF is due but the days are so long...who’s with me?

@Whuut we've been using the Clearblue ovulation kit. It basically digitally tells you when you've got a low chance (circle), higher chance (flashing smile) or peak chance (non flashing smilie) of conception. Once you've got a non flashing smilie then ovulation is generally 12-36 hours away. I found this easier than the little sticks as I felt like I was just guessing last month.

@BrodieKD Ah I see. That sounds good, I totally feel like I'm guessing with the sticks! Taking my temp is usually pretty reliable but with a 20mo who still doesnt sleep well, I cant always rely on it.

It's lovely to have some other first timers, most of my mates are on kid #2 or 3 by now so feel daft asking questions! Also desperate to NOT get excited yet and start telling everyone 🤦‍♀️

@glow92 we used conceive plus this cycle so maybe it really works!? We also started taking pregnacare his/hers about 4 months before we started TTC which I like to think helped!

Welcome @Whuut @BrodieKD 😀 hoping to spread some of our luck to you both!! I can’t tell you enough from experience about how much better it feels to wait it out! I know I only managed 10/11dpo but I got a bloody good line 😂

@glow92 definitely try and stick it out! I think I would’ve got a positive yesterday but I’m pretty sure I wouldve been 9/10dpo!

My tests from today are quite strong I think. (Not in order) I took one at 11am, another at 2.30pm (I was genuinely still in disbelief) then did one with the OH without him knowing I knew! (He knows now of course) 😂 he never got to experience seeing the line with DS as I just presented him with 2 tests 😂 but I couldn’t wait until he was home to test today haha he couldn’t believe it bless him, he was over the moon!

Welcome @Whuut and @BrodieKD 👋 are you counting down the days yet? What day do you intend to test or are you holding out until AF due? I’m 12DPO today and staying away from the tests until after the weekend. AF due Tuesday.

I had negative test today at 11dpo was a Poundland cheapie though so 20miu. Stared at it in every different lighting hoping for a least shadow :( feeling down, so wish I had some early ones to try ..

@Gigi1109 those lines look strong! So nice you got to share that! I also just passed DP the positive test last time so it will be nice to find out together this time.

@Hopefulhedgehog I'm only 6dpo so not even thinking about testing yet, AF is due 5th March but I think I'll wait til the 8th and if it hasnt arrived and test then. The wait is so hard, I cant believe it! I've always seen threads about the TWW and now I'm part of it😅

Still early days @Herehoping93 don’t give up yet. Try and have a day off tomorrow then test again on Monday...fingers crossed for you.

@Sunny1986 I really hope it works! I'll continue to use it in the fertile window if we're unsuccessful this time as surely it must help as I've noticed I don't get a large amount of CM. I'm taking a few supplements but may switch to a proper pre-natal if I'm still trying once they run out.

@Gigi1109 there more I think about it, I think I'm going to wait till Wed which will be 11dpo (if I make it that far after short LP last month). Mostly because Tuesdays I don't work from home and always in such a sh*tty mood at work as it's not good at the moment... don't want any added disappointment! Those tests are looking strong! I haven't thought about how to tell my partner yet when it (hopefully) comes to it.

I'm sorry @Herehoping93 it's a rubbish feeling isn't it, you're definitely still in though, implantation can happen anytime from 6-12DPO so it may still be too early.

Thanks girls. I had quite a lot of cramping yesterday has eased off this morning but just had the most random, sharp pain right down bottom of back going down shocked me a bit.
Yes think will give it a break maybe rest of weekend x

@Gigi1109 I also tested with my husband this morning, i hadn't mentioned that I'd had a couple of faint positives already - he was so surprised!😂 12 dpo today, used those FRERs!

Morning girls, I caved and tested with a CB digital this morning...BFN. Was feeling really hopeful so a bit gutted now. Some v light bleeding now so I think AF on her way....onwards and upwards to month 3!

Good morning @Hopefulhedgehog yes couldn't help it up first thing all could think about all night I've ordered some IC for my AF due date tomorrow the 10miu ones the test this morning (poundshop multipack) was negative thought saw a shadow but think I'm trying to make it appear lol got yesterday's and today's mixed up now so dono which is even the new one so prob nothing there x

I had some cramps last night and got so anxious that AF was showing up early again after a pathetic 8 day luteal phase last month, thankfully there's nothing there this morning but I'm just on edge now. 8DPO but looking back I could actually be 9. Had a slight temperature drop yesterday and today which could be: AF on the way, implantation or nothing and I need to sort myself out! 🤯

I'm sorry about the tests @Herehoping93 @Hopefulhedgehog see what the next day or 2 brings and if it's onto the next let's do the best we can 💪🏼💜.

I had a little cramping on Friday and my boobs are still a bit sore. My h2b is off work on Friday so going to try to hold off until then to test x

Hope AF stays away @glow92 - my temp is still high this morning 14DPO but got a feeling AF on her way.

I’m useless with those little ICs @Herehoping93 I can never see a line. Let us know if you test again, what DPO are you?

@Hopefulhedgehog I'm 12dpo today but it also says in due AF today have no test at home to try some IC coming today but I'm at work till this afternoon and proberly will get AF while at work (in a nursery) and Benin terrible pain so preparing myself at the moment. Will update later on :)

Hey @Hopefulhedgehog as you can imagine this weekend has been a crazy one! We keep looking at each other like is this a dream? We can’t believe it 😂 are you taking a test today? When I got my positive the IC barely showed anything up after the FRER! Did a CB on Saturday though I just want to get this week out of the way!

I’m not testing today - too disappointing getting the BFN yesterday. Would rather just wait for AF to arrive! AF due tomorrow (15dpo) so if no sign of her then I’ll test Wednesday morning. Temp still high this morning but this is my first month temping so I’m not sure when I should expect to see a drop.

Definitely not sunk in yet @Hopefulhedgehog !! We both keep just saying "whaaaaat?!" "Omg" "it can't be!" Etc. I've been taking cheaper tests each morning and think I'll do my digital clear blue on Weds when AF will be a few days late.
