So our valentines treats did the trick & we’ve got some BFPs for February...HORRAY!! 🥳♥️😘

We’ve picked up some newbies who come armed with a flesh light for horses, 🐴a penchant for McSteamy & 2 extra Sausages 🐶🍆for us to add to our rowdy bus.

If all else fails we can send our dogs round the country...stud them to each other cos they don’t understand social distancing and get a hella cute bus loads of pups instead, they can then teach us how to do it!

@Gem176 @Minster2012 thanks ladies, I'd have grey everything if I could but DH has curbed my overuse of grey so gone for a creamish carpet in both that's stain proof! Have a olive green to use on some of the walls. Yes Gem on the successful mission. Love a good pickled onion 🧅

@lucyrp my mind is blown! I’ve been on a plant based whole food diet for several days so constipation is not an issue rn but saving that up for the future!!

To add to last night's convo about people asking when you're having kids (I was dead to the world), I got sick of it from a colleague at work and put my foot down. Explained I had endo and didn't know if I could conceive naturally or not. She's never mentioned it since! I'm very fortunate that mine and DH's family were very supportive and understood endo and the implications it could have so they didn't ask. We told our parents when we started ttc so they knew knew not to ask how it was going. Tbh for me it was the whole we've been married over a year and random acquaintances asking... Its like what's it got to do with you?! Seriously

Morning everyone.

Trying to catch up but it's very hard 😂 how are we half way through a new bus already.

My aunt is still in hospital they have had that many emergencies in she still hasn't had operation she has to get a plate in her wrist it's a very bad break.

My wee girl took a bad reaction to something yesterday and came out in an awful rash yesterday and a bad migraine.

So it's been a fun few days.

Sickness has hit me today?

@Dollybird89 I've been doing a video a day since you posted the link, I think I've finally found an exercise that I actually really enjoy working up a sweat to, so big thanks to you! Tho I was annoyed as I've been doing them and had no chocolate for the past week and a half, salads for lunch made sure I've been drinking 2l of water a day stepped on the scales this morn and I've put on 2lb! Where's the justice!?!

I've not got Instagram, almost caved and nearly downloaded it after reading all the insta chat but I'm trying to actively cut down on screen time (hence why I'm not on here as much) so don't want to add to it with another app.

Day 3 flashing smiley for me. I've forgotten how long I should get the flashies for but I'm CD12 so hoping I'll hold out till Monday for a static. DTD this morn with preseed and some positions felt uncomfortable again and before DTD my ovaries are feeling tender again. Flipping praying it doesn't mean more cysts 😭😭😭

@dkdk123 that's awesome! I'm the same on the weighing...nothing's changed yet but I took photos 2 days ago and gonna do my measurements incase scales are deceiving! It's great having fun working out so keep it up! We got this!!!!

@Kirky658 that's the one saving grace of a lockdown, no stupid questions from ppl you barely see or usually talk to. My friends and fam know we're ttc and also about dh. Now I have the dilemma of telling them all about ivf, they know we're gonna do it but don't know when. I don't think I want them all knowing but they're all so interested now! 😖 on the endo front, my gp said getting pregnant will help it and said if you're already with the fertility unit get them to investigate it, so I'll be telling them on Monday and see what they say...it's the assisted conception unit rather than gynae tho so not sure how much they'll actually do for me?!

@notyetamumbuttrying god so annoying on the viewing damn it. On the ivf I think it's good to give a "in the near future" then it's up to you if you want to (or need to) be more specific if you need their help or want their support. I still don't tend to say exact dates, though I did fir MIL to ask her to look after DS because then you will always get them asking about testing & ppl still think it MEANs You get a baby & I don't want that pressure. But you can then bring them in when you want IYSWIM.

@notyetamumbuttrying sorry about the viewing getting canx! I love when GPs say that getting pregnant cures endo it's great. All it does is mask the symptoms for 9 months... I was in agony first few weeks of pregnancy and seems to be OK now. Let us know what they say xx

Hi girls!!! I'm so sorry I've been MIA for well over a month now. I needed some headspace from TTC and also work was horrific - I was literally working (from home) 8am to 10pm with like a 30 min lunch break for 6 weeks, and working on weekends like 9-5 as well. To reiterate - HORRIFIC. However that is done now - project is finito. 🎉 OH was an absolute ⭐️ doing all the cooking and cleaning and food shopping for us!

I've been away for so long I probably need to give a bit of a recap on my situation - we are both 32 and TTC #1. I had a chemical in Feb 2019 (then stopped trying until May 2020 for a variety of reasons), a MMC at 8 weeks in Sep 2020, a chemical in Nov 2020 (plus a MC at 7 weeks when I was much younger) which puts me at 4. So we were referred to the Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic, see below for an update on that. I've been on the bus since May.

I need to give you some updates!! We have applied for a rare breed of dog, now on the waiting list for a puppy 🐶 but don't get too excited as it could take months...

I'm 10dpo today and BFN. Next cycle here we go. Sort of expected it as I've been so stressed with work, not the best environment for a sexy egg 🥚 I was having panic attacks and everything - never had them before like my breathing was so restricted, I thought I had Covid which of course made things worse 🙄 (I did not have Covid)

We had our phone call with a consultant at the recurrent miscarriage clinic, he was very optimistic saying as we are young and healthy our chances of having a baby are "extremely high". I'm clinging onto that phrase! But basically they didn't find anything wrong in all the tests they did. All they can offer is progesterone pessaries in the first trimester which studies show can help women who have bleeding, but I've never had any bleeding/spotting while pregnant so may not make any difference. But he said there is no harm trying. He also said he would support referring me to professor Quenby who is in Coventry who is a specialist and I could participate in trials. But obviously no use at the moment as we are in lockdown and Coventry is a 90 min drive away. I'm not sure I'm ready to go down that route yet anyway.

What ELSE?! Our house- we have submitted our extension plans to planning, should be approved in about 8 weeks. Have got a couple of high level quotes and one was top end of budget and one was significantly over 😂😭 People who have done house extensions/renovations - do you really need to build in a 20% contingency? Feel a bit overwhelmed with it all!! How do you decide on everything!! So many decisions!!

I have missed SO much here - I can't face trying to read through like 50 buses though - I will perpetually be behind if I try this!!

@Minster2012 that's good advice. So far I've been saying it depends if we go we private or wait on the nhs, which is true. I'll tell my mum and my sister the actual dates when we've decided, as they're my rocks but I'm thinking I might just tell friends we're waiting on the nhs and then just do it privately on the sly. Just feels weird as they'll know so early if it's successful and we do tell them dates, but if it's not I might need to lean on them for support like you say. I think what you said about being vague is for the win. Hopefully by then we'll be out of lockdown and ppl will have stuff to occupy them again 😂

@Amy00 Sorry on your BFN, sounds like you've had a hell of a tough time working but glad you seem to have a gem of a OH! Good sign that tests all ok but I know sometimes that leave more questions than answers. I've had 2 MCs this time round, we have a DD who is 3. I've heard of that professor I think my cousin and his wife saw them a couple of years ago.

House extension - we did ours last year, terrible timing through lockdown and getting materials. I would definitely advise on the contingency. We only put in a 10% contingency which was a mistake. Dug 4 test holes at the start of the build, all good so started foundations and between 2 of the test holes was a soft spot so needed pile foundations = 7% of the contingency gone by day 5 🤦🏼‍♀️ it is stressful, we ended up moving in with relatives for 10 weeks whilst they did the knock through as it voided us toilet-less but we're just plugging away decorating the remaining rooms now and it's so worth it.
