Woken up today with cramps still...thought and had arrived but hasn't. I don't usually get cramps for days before hand. maybe a day or two but this has been longer and although I'm not really sure when and is due due.to cycles...based on last month's I'd say due later in the week. So confussing. I'm sure it's that though but would rather it just come if so

bubblybrit · 21/03/2021 08:17

Aargh. AF arrived this morning. Was kinda expecting it to be honest but still feeling disappointed. So CD1 for me....onwards and upwards I guess.

Good luck to those still within the TWW x

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/03/2021 11:57

@justwant2beamum hi and welcome, sorry for your loss, lots of lovely supportive ladies here

@Florence15 it could be late ovulation or no ovulation, have you had any investigations with the docs yet? I'm also 41

@mrswilso sorry af arrived, bath and wine sounds like a good plan though!

@MammaJ21 it's annoying when she's teasing you with her symptoms but doesn't actually show!

@bubblybrit is it wine and chocolate day for you? Sorry af arrived 😕

So I'm cd7 today and cb told me to start testing with opk today as I have irregular cycles, it was low as expected but then next time I went to the toilet there was a big old blob of ewcm! Now I'm all confused 🤪 make up your mind body!

Florence15 · 21/03/2021 12:56

@Marvellouslymadmum I did have some investigations done last year which came back normal. We did book some private tests too in Oct but then fell pregnant so cancelled them. But then mc at 11 weeks. Since my mc I haven’t had much cm at all but this month I’ve had the usual amount 🤷‍♀️ TMI but I’ve had the white creamy stuff around CD11 and that’s usually a sign ovulation is coming isn’t it? How long have you been ttc now? Have you and OH agreed to stop at a certain point/age. We’ve said we’ll stop in sep when I’m 42 but I just don’t like putting and end date to it all. Makes me feel more pressure that I only have so many months xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/03/2021 13:14

@Florence15 it's ewcm (egg white cervical mucus) that is a sign of ovulation. If you look up online it'll tell you what stages you should have what stuff lol.

We have been ttc since April 2018 so vertically 3 years, though some of that was more casually more ntnp really. We've had two mc and two cp and stepped things up to tracking etc last year, we have just had a few tests down at the docs and waiting for a referral to fertility for me now and a sa for oh so no we haven't discussed a stopping age/time yet, like you I think it'll make for more pressure. I'll be 42 in a week so definitely won't be stopping then lol I think we will wait for investigations etc and see what happens, we won't be eligible for ivf anyway but now we are on all sorts of supplements and doing other things to help plus I had really low iron levels which have now been sorted so I'm hoping that may fix things. I guess we will have the chat once all investigations have been done and if they then say ivf is the only way we will have to think what we want to do but we may just go for it. There are lots of mums older than me and I don't feel old haha

Faithandhopexx · 21/03/2021 13:41

Just been told Friday 19/3/21 at what should have been 10 weeks there was no longer a heart beat :( seen heat beat at 7w5d but baby was measuring a few days behind at first scan but Friday baby was measuring 8w5dthis is my second miscarriage first one was 3 years ago I was only about 4 weeks so very early .. I’m only 23 and I’m finding it very had to cope :( iv went with medical management.. I’m just so lost 😢 my blood type is also A+ would this be anything got to do with my loss ? I’m also low on iron I’m just so upset 😢

bubblybrit · 21/03/2021 13:42

Yes think I’d rather AF arrived yesterday and then I could really make the most of the wine and chocs @Marvellouslymadmum! Fingers crossed that this is your month 🤞 xx

bubblybrit · 21/03/2021 13:48

@Faithandhopexx. I’m so sorry about your losses. It’s never easy no matter how early it is. I’ve no idea regarding your blood type but my iron levels were super low when I had my mmc in December. The hospital couldn’t say for certain that it was a factor but couldn’t rule it out either. I’m now on supplements to raise levels so fingers crossed it helps.

All the ladies here were a great support for me in December when I was at my lowest (and they continue to be now I’ve started the crazy TTC journey again!) x x

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/03/2021 14:03

@bubblybrit yes that's very true, chocolate day is anyway though 😁

@Faithandhopexx so sorry for your loss, I've had two mc and two cp also and recently found that my iron levels were extremely low which I've done a lot of research into and could've both caused the mc's and be stopping me ttc. My doc put me on a huge 630mg a day or iron and it's almost back to normal now. I'm still on 210mg a day to maintain it but I am hopeful that it'll help so definitely get the docs to prescribe some for you! As far as I know blood type shouldn't make a difference, my sister is also a+ and nothing was mentioned with her. Hopefully you'll find out what's causing it though, have they said they'll do any investigations for you? They should check your progesterone levels, Sti swabs etc as these things can all cause mc too

Faithandhopexx · 21/03/2021 14:38

@Marvellouslymadmum they gave me container to bring up my miscarriage back to epu I’m sure it is to see can they carry out any test with tissue if possible (sorry if tmi) i was in so much shock I kind of zoned out and what they wore saying went over my head I’m not even sure how i store contents until iv passed all iv only had 2 clots this morning I think in Ireland it is usually 3 misscarrige in a row befor the test , all that is showing on my is low iron , iv also noticed my blood seems to be very thick .. I’m so nervous about history repeating itself this pregnancy wasent planned but was very much wanted I was ttc for year and half after first mc with help of clear blue advanced ovulation machine but never worked out for me.. then this year it happend very quickly but sadly not with the outcome I wanted :( at one stage I actually had myself convinced it wasent a possibility for me ..

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/03/2021 14:53

@Faithandhopexx oh I've never heard of that before! I had one mmc at 6 weeks and one at 8 weeks so a bit earlier. It's definitely worth talking to the doctor as they may still do some tests for you and get them to prescribe some decent iron tablets too

Faithandhopexx · 21/03/2021 15:18

My local epu only opens Monday to Friday 8-2 she said to hand to a n e if outside then hours on the box is medical information and the it says epu for surgical purposes and there is doctors name and reference.. I’m going to ring my doctor tomorrow to see can I be prescribed some iron tablets Iv stopped taking pregnacare supplements but am still taking spatone iron and folic acid

Marvellouslymadmum · 21/03/2021 15:46

@Faithandhopexx hopefully they'll get something sorted for you! Yes your doc should prescribe you something decent, I'm taking about 15 vits a day lol but the iron you buy over the counter is very low compared to what the docs can give you. Good luck!

ELMcg · 22/03/2021 06:57

Morning ladies! Made it to Monday again so preparing for time to start dragging for me! I always manage fine at the weekends and the during the week time goes so slowly and my mind wanders!

Approx 9/10 DPO for me, trying my best not to symptom spot and managing so far! I remember last time round my boobs got really sore but didn't think anything of it as wasn't expecting to be pregnant!

How are my other TWW ladies getting on?

Fingerscrossedfor2021HK · 22/03/2021 07:09

Long time lurker here after a MMC last summer (should have been my first). Caught first time for the MC and now here we are almost a year down the line and not even a hint of a BFP! Currently 12 dpo and AF due on weds. Won’t test unless still no AF by Friday but I have the usual cramps and sore boobs so guessing I’m out again. It’s so stressful when everyone I know seems to be having babies (and asking me when I will have one)... fingers crossed that we all have some luck soon!!

bez91 · 22/03/2021 07:11

Morning @ELMcg when are you testing?
Was wondering how you and @NatJ24 were getting on.
6dpo here, knackered, cramping, starving and hormonal headaches 😆 which is pretty much the norm lately around this stage for AF coming. I'll be 14dpo next Tuesday (30th) bit AF not due until 3rd April so not sure if I'll test at 14dpo or when AF is due yet.

OP posts:
Leesha94 · 22/03/2021 07:22

@ELMcg Morning! I’m either 7 or 8dpo and really tempted to test at 10dpo! I haven’t really been having any symptoms, other than mild cramping since ovulation, but that happens every month so not looking too deeply into it. I only have an 11 day LP so am due AF Friday/Saturday. Fingers crossed for us all this month 🤞

ELMcg · 22/03/2021 07:26

@bez91 @Leesha94 I'm due AF on Friday too!

I am very much don't test until AF is late but my husband doesn't want me testing through the week as it distracts him too much from work 🤣. Last time I got my BFP on a Friday morning and he couldn't concentrate so either going to test on Saturday if no AF or wait until next weekend if still no sign. I've never tested without AF being very late so is like 14/15DPO pretty much guaranteed to show a BFP?

elsimo · 22/03/2021 08:01

Morning guys. I'm 10dpo and tested with FRER this morning- BFN

I'm pretty sure i'm not ovulating since the MC I usually have terrible ovulation pain and thats all stopped.

bez91 · 22/03/2021 08:18

@elsimo sorry on the bfn, still quite early though. How far along into TTC are you?
I'm 10 months in and 2 MCs and called the GP a few weeks ago as having bleeding inbetween cycles since the last MMC and they booked me in for 2-5 and 21 day bloods next cycle which will show if I'm ovulating, bit odd as I'm unclear what that will show for mid cycle bleeding and was quite surprised as not at the year mark yet and they are the first fertility tests they do I believe but if you're similar maybe be worth an ask if you don't think you're ovulating.

elsimo · 22/03/2021 09:46

Morning @bez91 I am 2 year in to TTC 😢 with one MC which was 4 months ago now.
I have had all the fertility tests previously and diagnosed with unexplained infertility....we were just about to go on waiting list for IVF when fell pregnant.
However I have made an appointment for the GP to ask for 21 day bloods again to check if i'm ovulating so we will see.
I thought maybe I was lucky this month as I have had no spotting which usually comes 8/9dpo and some creamy discharge (sorry TMI) pretty sure it would have shown on a FRER today as my period is due Friday.
Good luck with ur tests.
How long have u been TTC altogether now? Remind me u fell pregnant no problem with ur DD as well didn't u?
I had a MC before my DD but fell pregnant straight away afterwards xx

bez91 · 22/03/2021 09:59

@elsimo yes sorry I do remember, thanks for reminding me! Have you been back in touch with the clinic for your ivf since the MC too? I find it all not joined up very well if your circumstances change. The unexplained bit must be so frustrating for you.
Yes fell pregnant with DD 4 years ago with no problems. We've been trying this time for 10 months, fell pregnant in August and MC at 6 weeks then conceived October straight away and MMC at 11 weeks.
How is your DH about it all? My DH thinks there can't possibly be anything wrong as we've had 3 pregnancies, I just want to hit him over his naive little head with the back of my hand 😂🙈

OP posts:
gizmo167 · 22/03/2021 10:23

Morning all x

CD1 for me so didnt even need to test, had awful cramping yesterday so that put an end to that! Having horrendous clotting today too, I didnt have that much with the first mc but its awful today and very painful! On the countdown now, I will be 43 tomorrow so summer is my cut-off, feeling very deflated today!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 22/03/2021 10:31

Hi @Fingerscrossedfor2021HK sorry to hear of your loss, it seems so unfair when the only bfp you get don't stick! And even more unfair when EVERYONE is having babies or announcing their pregnancies 😕

@ELMcg I've had six pregnancies including all losses I know about and have tested positive at different times, one of them wasn't until I was over a month late so it's hard to say if you would def get a bfp if pg at 14/15 dpo but I believe the majority do

elsimo · 22/03/2021 10:39

It is very frustrating! We have spoken to the specialist and she said its difficult to advise how to proceed as we don't have a specific issue so they can't really say if IVF will help and it doesn't reduce the chances of MC. But i'm 37 in Sept so feel like time is marching on.
Haha my DH was like that initially and just thought I was panicking but he is as frustrated as me now I think xx
