@ELMcg I wouldn't read into it and say it has anything to do with it taking time to detect a rise no. Maybe it's your body just ovulating at different times?
I know it says to start the CB OPKs based on your cycle length so based on mine I should start on day 14 but looking at my last 4 cycles I've ovulated on day 15, 20, 12 and 14 so some of them would have been way to late. My cycle lengths seem to have stabilised but the ovulation date is all over.

Marvellouslymadmum · 07/03/2021 20:12

@ELMcg I'd say it's most likely that it's just a different day this month not needing to detect the rise, I only got one day of low before my flashing smiley on mine. I used the clearblue connected ones which comes with the app that tells me when to start testing depending on how long the previous cycle was etc. Your cycles could definitely still be all over the place

ELMcg · 08/03/2021 07:11

@bez91 @Marvellouslymadmum thanks so much for the reassurance, flashing smiley today so probably actually on track to ovulate same time as last month. Going to move to twice a day testing now so I don't miss it! 🤞

re6ecca · 08/03/2021 08:53

Thanks for your kind words ladies ❤ I have not been offered testing as I declined hospital care for my 2nd and 3rd losses after how awful the first time round was!
They won't take my word for it that I have had losses despite showing them the pregnancy tests etc. Despite this, they conveniently want me to try for a year (until october) since my last loss before they will test me....🤔
Anyway, I have to wait until then.
I am also still super late on my period (and no this isn't just 'my body taking a break,' I have never missed a period other than pregnancy before, my body would not just decide to skip a random period now) and I got a bfn at 11 days late. Currently 16 days late and going to test in a couple days. How boring. If I'm not pregnant, I'd love to know what's gone wrong now! 🤣

Marvellouslymadmum · 08/03/2021 09:16

@ELMcg ahh good glad you got your flashy face, it's reassuring isn't it!

@re6ecca that's rubbish that they won't do any tests at all for you, most gps seem happy for basic investigations! Have you tried speaking to your gp about the fact that you're late and having negative tests? They may do some normal blood tests to make sure you're not low on iron etc you could just be having an anovulatory month though as it can happen without you knowing (still get af) so you don't even realise and can also happen without one even if it's never happened before.

NatJ24 · 08/03/2021 09:28

@ELMcg yay glad you got your flashing face, just caught up.
So I got blank circle Thursday and Friday. Flashing face Saturday, Sunday and today. So currently 3rd day flashing and CD14. So I am thinking that I will probably be the same and ovulate around the same CD as last month (which was static smiley CD18 so ovulation counted as CD19)

ELMcg · 08/03/2021 13:32

@NatJ24 looks like we are still in sync then!

Do you go to testing twice a day now? Also how the heck does anyone hold wee for 4 hours when they aren't asleep /dying of dehydration?

I'm expecting to olvulaton on Thursday or Friday so reckon around CD 17 or 18 for me too!

NatJ24 · 08/03/2021 15:38

@ELMcg haha I know!!! Its so long to hold! I honestly just go as long as I can and that has to do.
I was trying to remember when the flashing smiley started last month and how many I had but I cant remember.
If I am the same CD as last month though I will get static on Friday so we will be around the same! Yes I am testing twice a day now to be sure not to miss it!

ELMcg · 09/03/2021 19:37

@NatJ24 I'm testing twice and trying my best to hold in my wee 😂

Hoping I catch my peak this month!

How is everyone doing today, anyone testing this week?

bez91 · 09/03/2021 20:19

@ELMcg @NatJ24 don't envy you girls testing twice having to cross your legs 😆 nightmare. I started testing twice last cycle. To be honest we couldn't really fit anymore sex in so it wasn't useful for that but it was just good to narrow the time frame down as got my peak in the afternoon! Hope you're not both waiting too long!

CD6 here, AF finished yesterday morning but has resurfaced again this evening 🤔 will start OPKs tomorrow based on my strange cycles and hoping I don't ovulate too early again which I think has been half the problem 😊

NatJ24 · 10/03/2021 08:36

Morning everyone!
I was going to say who do we still have here, and who is where? Anyone nearly testing?

So @ELMcg you are similar to me, CD16?
I have had another flashing smiley this morning so I am currently just waiting for my peak! Are you still getting flashing?

@bez91 so CD7 today! Thats a week down yay! So you are starting OPK's today? Hopefully you ovulate next week and then you won't be much behind us! Is it the CB ovulation sticks you are doing?

Hope everyone is ok!

bez91 · 10/03/2021 08:54

@NatJ24 yayyy, shouldn't be long until your peak! Are your cycles that regular that you know when you ovulate? Yes still using the CB, just find them so much easier. Hoping I ovulate after CD14, it's been happening much earlier which I've read doesn't really help in egg quality which makes sense I suppose! MC really does balls your body up!

OP posts:
Norainnorainbows2 · 10/03/2021 09:46

@NatJ24 still here on cd19, I'm not tracking with any opks this month so have no idea when af is due...Putting all our energy into DTD and trying to loose some extra weight! DTD on cd 11, 13, 15, 17. Last month it seems I o'd on cd 21/22 so we'll keep going until then if we can!
I'm going to order the clear blue opks for next month as I don't know if I'll have the drive to keep DTD so often! Have only used cheapies before and found myself overanalyzing the line darkness way too much, hoping the flashing smiley and smileys will be easier to follow. What's the best place to order? I live next to a small boots, but figured they won't have the the value sized packs!
Seems like there's a few of us mid cycle right now wondering when egg day was or is, hope everyone is feeling ok!

ELMcg · 10/03/2021 09:54

@NatJ24 yes CD16 for me and still on flashing smileys! Reckon I will ovulate on CD18 if my prediction is correct. Ideal if I get a static on the weekend, so much easier 😂.

@bez91 you aren't far behind us at all! Hopefully this is our month 🤞. I have literally no idea what my body is doing post MC and it was so predictable before, quite hard to get my head round sometimes!

Loll35 · 10/03/2021 10:33

Hi @NatJ24 I'm still here Smile
CD 13 for me and I got my peak yesterday, a little early for me as I usually ovulate on cd14/15 so glad I used the opks to hopefully catch it!

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 12:06

I'm still here, cd23 for me clearblue gave me a static smiley on cd13 but my temps are all over the place so still don't know what's going on! I had blood taken for day 21 tests though so hopefully find out soon!

@Norainnorainbows2 I bought my clearblue digital advance connected tests on eBay brand new and sealed for £25 for 25 tests (much cheaper than normal) as they have a short expiry date left but as I'm using them before then it made no difference to me!

NatJ24 · 10/03/2021 12:15

@bez91 well I have only ever tracked my ovulation twice. Once was the month I got pregnant and I ovulated on CD20, then I had the MC.
Then I had MC bleeding, didnt really track properly until I had a period and then tracked that first month following the period (which was last month) and ovulated CD19.
So going off them 2 months I ovulate a bit later, but shouldn't be too far away now.
I agree MC does mess with your body. Hopefully using the CB digital this month you catch it and its around CD14 for you 😃

@ELMcg I agree it would work out better if the static is over the weekend! Keep me updated on when you get it!

@Norainnorainbows2 you are similar then in the middle(ish) of your cycle! There seems to be alot of us around the similar time so we will all be in that looooong TWW together. You seemed to have covered alot of the days DTD there so 🤞 I think the CB ovulation sticks are good with the faces, they make it clearer for you! I get mine off amazon 😃

@Loll35 ah exciting you got your peak. I hope you managed to catch it!! 🙏 Will you count tomorrow as 1dpo then?

Fingers crossed for us all!!!!

NatJ24 · 10/03/2021 12:18

@Marvellouslymadmum ah hopefully you get them results back from your 21 day bloods soon.
Will you be testing soon being 10dpo or holding out for the bloods?

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 12:25

@NatJ24 I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow but if they're not back it won't be until Monday 😕 I won't test unless I'm late for af (too many bfn disappointments in the past) though saying that I've got to guess when af is dues as last cycle was 24 days and before that was mc so everything's messed up still

gizmo167 · 10/03/2021 13:09

I'm still here! CD25 today, feeling really PMSy last few days so I reckon probably weekend, early next week AF will show. Absolutely no sore boobs this month, first after the mc and I found that after the first mc some months they were and others not at all, reckon probably my body is all over the place and age doesnt help!

Loll35 · 10/03/2021 13:55

@NatJ24 yeh I had a bit of ovulation pain this morning so think ovulation will be today. So will count tomorrow as 1dpo and begin my tww! Sounds like quite a few on here are almost in their Tww too!

@gizmo167 before my mc I would get sore boobs every month a week before af /bfp but since mc iv had no sore boobs at all. I guess my body is still adjusting.

Leesha94 · 10/03/2021 16:12

I’m CD13 today, thinking I’ll ovulate around CD 17/18 so just trying to DTD every other day to cover ourselves!
We’re really going to try this month, then if it doesn’t work out take a break next month (if I conceived I’d be due 3rd of January, which we’d rather avoid).
Is anyone taking any supplements? I’ve just finished up 1 pack of seven seas ttc and am moving onto my 2nd. I was taking pregnacare but the tablets are huge and I was struggling to take them 🤢!

Loll35 · 10/03/2021 17:40

@Leesha94 I am also taking the seven seas supplements - the mini pill ones - and find them so much easier to take then the pregnacare. I've only started with them this month. I also tried the equi London as they are supposed to be premium ingredients but quite pricey but you have to take 4 every day and they are quite big - I just couldn't get on with them!

Marvellouslymadmum · 10/03/2021 18:02

@Leesha94 I take the pregnacare conception, vitamin d, e, b complex, ubiquinol, I also take b6 and epo up to ovulation. There's loads of other stuff I'm doing too but that's the supplement list lol

bez91 · 11/03/2021 06:47

@Leesha94 I've been taking seven seas the last few months. I was just on a Holland and Barrett combined folic acid and vit D before and thought I'd give these a go.

@Marvellouslymadmum fingers crossed for your results! 🤞🏼

@NatJ24 that's quite similar to me, my two where I got my BFP that ended in MC I ovulated on CD20 and CD15. Got a flashing smiley today on CD8 so probably going to ovulate early again which generally doesn't work out for me 🤦🏼‍♀️ hoping it holds off a while 😂
