We’ve got the fastest TTC 🚌in the UK & we aren’t afraid of a modification or 2 as we have a bus with a beautiful panoramic roof seat where there is wine & snacks a plenty for those that need a bit of a breather from our race car but still hang on to our ride! 🌞

We thought we might make it to Valentine’s Day ♥️💓 but oh no we talk too much! If you want to talk most things other than TTC we are the right bus, tv, (married at first sight what the hell?!), pets, annoying DHs, good food & exactly how many orgasms should we be having?

We’ve got a rowdy bus of newbies, oldies with history, excited ladies going forwards for IVF & pregnant mates we can’t get rid of...& February is gonna be BIG!

So grab your crotchless panties and not much else for Valentine’s Day 💓and invite your men (or women folk) to dinner cos they are being treated like a REAL LADY. Forget January blues. February is where it’s at and we say UP YOURS TTC, we are cumming to get you 🙌🏻🥰

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

Well I've had a wonderful smear test, I was there for ages talking to the nurse who also has pcos and is undergoing fertility treatment! She really explained all my blood results and everything, diet tips and stuff for pcos, how temping is actually not very helpful for us, how to improve dh's soerm issues and ivf referrals etc. Honestly so lovely and supportive! I'm a bit paranoid she's on here but if you are, thank you! Made my day!

I might just stop temping as my temps are always all over the place anyway and the doctors never seem to be worried about it as a tracking method. I think it may cut out a load of stress for me as I can tell when I ov anyway, or at least when my body is trying to through symptoms.

@Vil10 were allowed to be fed up sometimes, we need it!
I've heard the Pregnacare can mess up normal cycles, I'd stop if you're worried. It didn't affect me personally because my cycles are so bad anyway, but saying that I did have the very long ones whilst taking it 🤔

@Billythecat completely normal to feel upset at the whole "it was an accident thing", they don't know how lucky they are!

@HollieL567 aww try not to worry, everybody is different.

@paintfairy it truly is 💩💩💩 haha

@Sausage1990 I can only imagine how scary it must be after all you've been through. I really hope this is it for you 🤞🏼

@Gem176 aww it's normal to wobble I think, good luck for your scans!

@lucyrp ugh so annoying they're not doing their job properly! Really doesn't help matters. Sunshine would be nice right now!

@Catherinettc totally feel you there! Hugs and try to get some down time x

Minster2012 · 09/02/2021 11:56

@blackcurrantqueen thank you, I know I'm being really stupid because last time was unplanned and back then I was a smoker (I know, I know 😳 reformed character now 🤣), didn't find out until a lot further along and definitely had more than one in that time 🙈

@lucyrp your mw doesn't sound all that great, I'd say swap if you will feel more comfortable. I've been landed with the same consultant from last time and I really did not like him and he completely dismissed me on so many occasions so this time I'll be asking to be referred to one of his colleagues if he's the same way.

@Kirky658 such a relief that she is good, has three kids herself and just really easy to talk to. Are you excited to have your scan dates? I'm now on the countdown 😂

@Florence13 thank you, know I'm being utterly ridiculous but sometimes it just hits you out of nowhere 🙈 going to try and be more zen 🤣🤣🤣

@DJmum83 I'm sorry that today was bfn, you aren't out until af arrives though so hopefully the witch stays away

@Dollybird89 oh does the same here and I frequently wake up hanging out of the bed as the pooch is massive and shifts me out of the way so he has space 😂 they are so cute though 🥰

@Vil10 you certainly do, say it as it is 😂 do you use opks? If you don't would you start just so you can pinpoint ov if pregnacare is delaying it? Take the guess work out. Opks were my next step as i had just been guessing it off ewcm and what I was feeling in myself.

@Catherinettc with you 110%, totally fed up now!

@Justanothercyster thank you. Your nurse sounds absolutely lovely! Sometimes you just need someone like that 😊

Kirky658 · 09/02/2021 12:23

@catherinettc deffo with you, hate it, mind you having nausea and being hidden at home has its perks!

@gem176 I can't bloody wait, 3 weeks tomorrow till my 12 week one I'll be 11+3, my bestie said she went for hers last year and she was only 11 weeks so had to go back a few days later so I'm hoping that won't be the case for me! How about you? 😊

Vil10 · 09/02/2021 12:24

@Justanothercyster glad your nurse was able to help you! She sounds lovely!' I think after this packet I'm going to stop depending on how this cycle is, typical, might try seven seas again!

@Gem176 I usually do use opks but wanted to try not tracking this month! I've had cramps today and feel a bit wet so maybe it's today or tomorrow! Still late though, hope it doesn't mean i still get af at normal time making my luteal phase really short😩

paintfairy · 09/02/2021 12:27

@Justanothercyster I'm interested in sperm improvement tips!?
@Dollybird89 lovely dog 🥰
@Franklydear bugs definitely upset cycle length. So I wouldn't worry about menopause just yet!

Justanothercyster · 09/02/2021 12:42

It was great!

@Vil10 I like the seven seas, but again can't comment on cycles with them! If anything my cycles have shortened but I doubt that's to do with vitamins.

@paintfairy well funny enough she said to help morphology Wellman supplements are good. He's already on some special fertility ones but it's handy to know. She said lots of antioxidants like berries etc, no alcohol, limit caffeine. The usual stuff really. I think with soerm it has to be diet and health.

@Minster2012 eek squinty eye! It was a nice chat haha

lucyrp · 09/02/2021 13:03

@Florence13 I might ask but feel awful as the midwife is a lovely person but seemingly rubbish at her job 🤣

@Kirky658 yep! And apparently she's going to pop my notes round ... so whatever that means. I'm expecting them through my door any day as she doesn't live that far away lol

@Justanothercyster it doesn't take much to annoy me at the moment my hormones are all over the place 🤣

Kirky658 · 09/02/2021 13:17

@lucyrp oh god hopefully you will get them at some point then! Ps doesn't take much to annoy me atm either - broke down in tears last night because I can't decide what I feel like eating! 🤣 And then on Sunday evening we had DH's brother call from the us, then his parents, then his sister, sister has got engaged to an asshole bloke, she was bridesmaid for me but didn't come to my hen do or dress fitting or anything, so I was dead annoyed as she will probs expect me to do everything when her time comes round!!

Gem176 · 09/02/2021 13:21

@Kirky658 so so nervous but also excited! My dating scan is at 12+6 so not until mid March but I have a scan two weeks tomorrow at the obstetrics clinic so really nervous for that one and I don't think oh is allowed to attend due to restrictions 🥺 so if it's bad news I'm getting it on my own!
I was a bit early for my 20 week scan last time and had to go back a week later as they couldn't get measurements. I think it's quite normal if you are a wee bit early to be called back and absolutely nothing to worry about! Just means you get a sneak peak at bubba twice 🥰

Gem176 · 09/02/2021 13:24

@lucyrp all my notes are in an app, it's so bloody easy!! Don't have to wait on appointment letters, they are just waiting in the app. Game changer! Booking app yesterday and scan app was uploaded by the time I got home! Was a bit dubious when I first heard about it but think it's fab now!

Minster2012 · 09/02/2021 13:51

So are we getting the men on the Pom juice as well then??? Jesssssuuusss this is gonna be one expensive ride!! @Justanothercyster 🤣🤣

OP posts:
bez91 · 09/02/2021 14:30

Oh god the Pom juice, I've asked DH to pick up some more on the way home from work, I've been having it a while but not DH, it's bloody expensive! I wonder how quickly it will improve sperm... FW coming up 😆

Florence13 · 09/02/2021 14:34

@Justanothercyster glad that your smear test was so informative and the nurse was so lovely to you. Completely different from my experience last November 🙈

@Gem176 not utterly ridiculous at all hun I think everything to do with getting pregnancy having babies and being a mum are all full of anxieties.

@Minster2012 how is your squinty eye? Getting any better?

paintfairy · 09/02/2021 14:57

@Catherinettc Oh god yes. So bored of lockdown now! And my neighbour is always screaming at her kids!

So - fertility video appointment complete! I was nervous but it was ok. Couldn't get it to work! it was a link and it kept saying i needed to allow access to my phone camera/sound, even though i said yes. Ended up reopening the link in chrome after a few tries, and thankfully it worked there! Honestly?
The lady was lovely (not who i was told it would be, it was a nurse?) She talked through all the results so far (most of which we had roughly surmised but it was good to have it explained) and explained the implications of them. Basically she only has 2 concerns - one is my spotting. She said it could be progesterone related and the reason why nothing is happening but they would support me with pessaries and so not to worry about that. I asked if my blood test level should have indicated that (day 21 is normal, as are others) and she said its not exactly the same thing, so no. It wouldn't really indicate a luteal phase defect just from the blood test.
The other issue is my DHs lazy sperm. But she said the high count did offset that. But its only one sample. But the motility is low and the other motility figure (cant think what she called it, the bursts of energy one) is low.

The plan is - DH needs another SA next week. She's posting a pot and he's called the other department to book it (at that point they told him he cant have an SA and a wash, only one or the other, so it could all fail here? She's just booked a wash......). I'm booked in for an internal scan on 1 March where they will go over the scan with me straight after it, and discuss what to do next, as well as go over the SA results. DH cant come because of covid but he can be on the phone for the results. She wants to check his semen will respond to washing as part of the SA to see if IUI is viable for us. If it all looks to be ok for IUI, then i have to have tubes checked. If blocked i would be referred straight for IVF. But otherwise we would get funding for 3 rounds of IUI. She said whether we do that straight away or whether we want to wait a few months (because sometimes the tube thing helps and so some people prefer to carry on trying for a few months) is up to us but they would go over it with us. They would stimulate me for the IUI and provide progesterone support for the LP. I imagine if that doesnt work then its IVF. If DHs sperm doesnt like being washed, its also IVF. They refer you to one of 2 clinics though for that.

So it seems positive really?
Assuming they can manage to sort the SA out between them? Confused

Juno231 · 09/02/2021 14:58

Figs are meant to be super fruits for swimmers apparently! Not that they're any cheaper than pom juice...

Kirky658 · 09/02/2021 15:02

So just been to walk the dog, slipped on a patch of ice, tried to steady myself to stop myself falling and got a sharp pain in my upper stomach like I strained something, it went off pretty quickly. Got back and told DH he doesn't seem that bothered, said as long as I didn't fall down I should be fine. I feel OK but just shaken up and not sure if to ring midwife or not?

Haiyaa · 09/02/2021 15:02

Thanks everyone, managed a 12:30pm bonk even though I had to be up a time 6am and with a toddler to look after/ferry to nursery in the snow so had to give DH a high five for his dedication 😂 not sure if O quite here as LH on the rise today and still flashing smiley. Will give DH the night off tonight then back to business tomorrow, unless I hit a peak LH tonight.... dammit! Some minor backache though so definitely feel ovulation will be here before Valentines Day, that one will just be for fun 😉 then on for my first official TWW for number 2 🥴 @larrythelizard are we still cycle buddies?

Haiyaa · 09/02/2021 15:08

@Kirky658 it doesn’t sound likely to have caused any harm but only you know how bad your slip felt so if you are even a smidge worried, call the midwife. They won’t mind.

Kirky658 · 09/02/2021 15:14

@haiyaa it wasn't even that bad I'm just panicking i think, just rang her and she says just to rest, as the pain was my upper abdomen very very unlikely it would have hurt anything thank god x

Haiyaa · 09/02/2021 15:29

It’s normal to worry but that’s what the midwife is for, do you feel better for talking to her? Sometimes that’s all you need otherwise it will bug you.

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/02/2021 15:29

@paintfairy that does sound very positive then. It's great you have a POA and dates! How you feeling about it all?

Sorry I've not checked in much, really busy with work and brain is addled when on so find it hard to multi task, I know, what kind of woman am I lol!

Gem176 · 09/02/2021 15:32

@Kirky658 I've been getting pulled muscle pain with certain movements. Midwife explained it's because everything is relaxing in our abdomens so a movement that normally wouldn't stretch muscles to the point of pain because they are normally more firm will now pull them and cause a pain. It's not a cause for worry as long as the pain subsides quickly. Call your midwife for reassurance though, they tend to be excellent at the reassurance thing. P.s I slipped and fell on wet flooring when I was pregnant with dd, must have been 20+weeks, I went into full panic mode! I was told then that our babies are well cushioned and everything should be fine (it was).

Kirky658 · 09/02/2021 15:41

@haiyaa yes I definitely do, she was very calm and said just to chill. So I have moved from my office to the lounge with my laptop propped up with cushions.
@gem176 just so scary isn't it, the pain was really sharp as I twisted my body so as not to fall, scared me to death but now the midwife has spoken to me I feel safer.

Hey it gets me out of running tomorrow 😂
