4 DPO and already feeling stressed and irritable about it. Shifts til Thurs to keep me busy but what then? It just seems like forever. Will 100% be caving and testing later in the week because I have zero self control.

@Mybobowler yeh I do have another early one for tomorrow. Fingers crossed! O actually kind of stuffed up both tests so I'm sooo hoping tomorrow will just be clearer and I'll know either way

I took an IC this morning and it was the biggest, fattest negative I've ever seen. AF not due until Saturday so it's stupidly early to test but I'm still convinced I'm out this month. I was so naive thinking this time would be as easy as it was first time around!

Started TTC this month, AF due on 24 February soooo today is DPO-0?

We have a DD (3.5) but lost our first at 25w, so I'm both terrified and excited.

We weren't going to start trying until later this year because we've just bought an ancient wreck of a house at the other end of the country and were supposed to have our wedding party in summer (which we now cancelled; we're already legally married anyway), but here we are.

Is 9DPO generally considered the earliest semi-reliable day to test?

I'm not sure what is the best day to test really, AF was due on Monday for me so thought I may as well have a go just to rule it out really as it's all I can ever think about! I have short cycles So my tww is technically a 10 day wait.

Rubbish news about your wedding party. My fiancé and I had to cancel our wedding next July, and doesn't look like our June wedding will be going ahead as planned now either. Chin up though, it's all going to work out and we'll value it all the more xx

@bellebeau hooray for your BFP! Sorry to hear about your wedding, but you're right - all the more reason to celebrate later.

Lots of good news on this thread. I've been living like a saint for the last few weeks just in case but probably should be taking advantage of sushi/dodgy cheese/steak tartare/

@SorbusAucuparia I go with ‘drink til it’s pink’ rule! (Not lots just a glad or two I’ll add!) I don’t want to stop doing anything I enjoy just in case because then if it doesn’t happen I’ve missed out.. if that makes sense?!

I had whitest of white negative at 8dpo but then the faint line on FRER, I’d say 9dpo is a good start but lots don’t get BFP until they’re due or after. I just had a feeling because my boobs are weird and tingly!

10dpo today - tried a digital (obsessed much 🙈) and got BFP 1-2 weeks x

An interesting comparison- I bought ICs that said they detected 10mIU/ml but they have only just showed up the TINIEST line today at 12dpo- FRER (sensitive to 6mIU/ml) showed up at 8dpo for me, despite apparent doubling of hcg every 1-2 days. I tried a cheap Sainsbury's £3 test and that was somewhere in between (positive around 10dpo, despite saying sensitive to 25mIU/ml) so assuming the ICs aren't sensitive to 10 and maybe to about 50 instead.

I have of course now spent an obscene amount of money on tests (yes I'm ridiculous) and DH is rolling his eyes and laughing every morning, but I just feel so anxious pre AF due date and the darker lines are a comfort.

Same! @LAgeDeRaisin! Do not recommend these ICs. The easy@home ones have picked up but not these... not that I’m testing every hour 🙈 x

I am currently 3dpo? I had my peak on my ovulation tests on Saturday the 6th. Not sure when I be expecting AF as it will be my first AF since my TFMR in December. Usually 29day cycle. Not sure the best day to do a test? Is it usually 8, 12 or 14dpo?

The cheapy stick I test have that look exactly like yours are a level of 20mlU/ml which I expect yours might be too?
Even if they say 10on Amazon have a read of the instructions that come with the pack to check.

@Curlymam88 I'd wait until you're 9dpo at least. I'm 7 or 8dpo and see the faintest of faint lines and all its done it make me worry. I need to test again in a couple of day. Hopefully I can get out as currently snowed in!

@Amz6219 yeh 10dpo sounds good for a clear result. I am just itching to know for sure!!

My FRER just arrived and I rushed to have a pee so I can't test 😂 I'm 9DPO. Planning to do it tomorrow morning I'm so nervous!

I've just ordered some more FRER to arrive on Thursday, and I've just discovered another one at the back of the bathroom cabinet. Do I use it tomorrow (10DPO)?!

Congrats everyone with BFPs already! I thinkkk I'm finally 4 DPO. No temp shift but they've turned off the heating in our flat to do work in the building so it's FREEZING at night and I think that's not helping... Regardless, I'll go with it and when my period eventually comes I'll know more!
