I was the same @ELMcg 😂 I had to read all the instructions, and then there’s a Premom Facebook group for people who use the easy @ home tests so I joined that too so I could read everyone’s posts and check their charts against mine so I could figure it all out 😂🤦‍♀️

Hi Everyone , just been reading up on how your all doing... I'm pretty much the same stage as u @PumpkinEveryything.... How r u feeling today? I feel a little nauseous but I'm not sure if it's down to being full of a cold too. I don't kmow what to think keep saying to mysefk. Just wiat until late but it's not easy is it. Anyone else waiting to test n having any symptoms? X

NatNoo96 · 27/01/2021 12:50

Thank you @HappyVibes and @Bellabubble. Been to the Epu this morning and they have confirmed what I already knew. Never thought I’d have 1 MC let alone 2.
They did say that as they are linked to the charity Tommy’s that they will test to look for why as Tommy’s recommend testing after 2 losses. The waiting list seems to be months tough and I don’t want to wait that long to try again. I am still going to have a look down the private route to see if they can offer anything affordable in a quicker time span. And have obviously joined the waiting list for the referral with the NHS.
Wishing you both lots of luck this time around 💕

HappyVibes · 27/01/2021 12:54

Good luck @NatNoo96 with everything. I know that is can be a huge relief just having oversight and reassurance. Sending you lots of love, look after yourself lovely lady xxx

RS2609 · 27/01/2021 12:59

@NatNoo96 so sorry to hear this. Really hope you are able to get some answers x

NatJ24 · 27/01/2021 13:29

@PumpkinEverything @ELMcg easy@home says to test after 11am but the clear blue says to use the first urine after your longest sleep! So different advice for them 🙈. I've got both at the minute, I was using the easy@home ones last month after the MC, but more so to just get an idea of my cycle at that point. I've started with these ones because I had some left but from tomorrow or Friday I am going to start using the clear blue one. I'll be CD7 tomorrow so I thought I would wait until then and start that one and just see how it goes! Will keep you both posted.

@PumpkinEverything you are doing so well in the TWW, not long now! 🤞

Sallyjo27 · 27/01/2021 13:29

@NatNoo96 I’m so sorry for your loss we went private after my third miscarriage as the waiting list for the nhs was ridiculously long. We paid £150 for a consultation, ultrasound scan, AMH blood test, sperm analysis and a follow up appointment too. My GP did my thyroid and 21 day progesterone test so we didn’t pay for that and the private consultant wrote a letter to the nhs consultant and asked them to do thrombophilia screening and immune antibodies screening too so we didn’t have to pay for that either. Unfortunately all our tests came back normal and I’ve gone on to have another miscarriage but the private consultant thinks I’ll need clexane next time. If you do decide to go private ask the consultant to write to your GP etc as they may agree to do the tests on the nhs and save you a little bit of money x

PumpkinEverything · 27/01/2021 13:44

I’m so sorry @NatNoo96 I hope it’s at least given you a bit of closure getting the confirmation on it, but it’s still really sad 😔, fingers crossed you’re able to get some information somewhere!

@Jaym78 just wishing the days away really! I’ve never had it before, but think I’ve got heartburn from either antibiotics that I’m on, or the food that I’m eating (tomatoes and onions last night, they’re acidic right?!) either way it’s very annoying!

@NatJ24 @ELMcg I’ve been tempted by the clear blue one, but going to stick with the cheapies for now. I think I need another few months of figuring out my cycle length since it was crazy before pregnancy, and tbh it’s the only reason I use the OPKs in the first place. Otherwise I’d be happy leaving them out and just DTD whenever I could roughly guess. I hate not knowing when AF is going to turn up though so at least this way I can get a rough idea 🤦‍♀️

Thanks everyone ! And thanks @Sallyjo27 I’ll definitely ask for a letter to see if I can save anything at all 💕

Pancakes7 · 27/01/2021 14:02

@Catmum55566 that's very strange. I would ignore that advice. I've had 2 mmc's both with surgical management and doctors all said try straight away once bleeding stops. They did say best to wait till after our first AF as it's easier to date the pregnancy if you get pregnant. But no reason to wait.

Pancakes7 · 27/01/2021 14:05

I'm so sorry @NatNoo96 . I hope you get some answers. Look after yourself and get in some chocolate and wine! Xx

bez91 · 27/01/2021 14:16

Really sorry @NatNoo96 sending love 💕
Make sure you do whatever you need to to be kind to yourself whatever that may be for you; wine, chocolate, duvet days, exercise.

Interesting what you say about Tommy's recommending testing after 2 losses, after my 2 the hospital were just pretty clear it's after 3 with NHS and no option to join any waiting lists. I really hope you start to feel more positive soon xx

TheDaydreamBelievers · 27/01/2021 15:13

@Catmum55566 to be quite frank, Id ignore that GP. Like others I was told not whilst bleeding (as infection risk) and better to wait until after AF 1 (for dating). Otherwise just whenever you feel ready. The NICE guideline also says nothing about waiting, the evidence base says its safe to get pregnant literally just after.

Overall, no idea why they said that, but bear in mind GPs dont really know a lot about conception and pregnancy!

@NatNoo96 sending love to you and I am so sorry xxx

Sallyjo27 · 27/01/2021 16:03

@Catmum55566 echoing what everyone else has said. I had an appointment with my consultant and was told we could start trying again. I had my 2nd dose of medical management on the 30th December and have had a negative test. She told us to start ttc again as soon as we felt ready. I explained I hadn’t even had my period yet and she said it was fine it’s only for dating purposes so we decided not to wait and start trying again x

RichmondLady1981 · 27/01/2021 16:37

@NatNoo96 I’m so so sorry my love. Pls take care of yourself and surround yourself with positive people who can help you find answers and success in future cycles. X

NatJ24 · 27/01/2021 16:59

@NatNoo96 so sorry, even though you prepared yourself for that news its still awful and heartbreaking. Sending love xx

Catmum55566 · 27/01/2021 17:01

Thanks for the advice @Pancakes7 @TheDaydreamBelievers @Sallyjo27

Seems like best not to follow the GP in this case as seems like it is not the right advice. I had a look on the Miscarriage Association and it echos what you all said. Thank you. I think I might look into speaking with a private specalist before TTC again. Hopefully it is just bad luck but could be worth finding out.

PrettyPinkPansies · 27/01/2021 17:04

So sorry @NatNoo96, it's so difficult. I hope you find some peace soon and you get your sticky baby x

angc30 · 27/01/2021 17:49

@NI101 can I ask how you're getting on? Did you phone your GP? Were they able reassure you anyway?

I got a bfp (I'll only be 4 weeks tomorrow) and I'm not gonna lie I'm struggling a bit with it. I can't stop worrying and I know that's no good either. Should see the top my toilet, I'm saving all the tests to reassure myself and I know I'm definitely testing too much and comparing lines

elsimo · 27/01/2021 19:23

Ok guys i'm gunna start temping...any recommendations for a thermometer?

RS2609 · 27/01/2021 20:22

@elsimo I have the digital one from Ovia which I ordered from Amazon. It’s great as it automatically adds the temperature via Bluetooth and then I can add the temp to other apps later on

ELMcg · 27/01/2021 21:14

@NatJ24 who knows if I'll be joining you tomorrow or not on the ovulating testing.. A bit of bleeding tonight after a few days of nothing 🤷‍♀️ so bizarre! It's also not old blood it's red with a tinge of pink but seems to have just been a one off bleed so goodness only knows.

Anyone else experienced their first AF after miscarriage stopping and starting? Going to see if anything more overnight and if not start the OPKs tomorrow as that's CD6 for me!

RichmondLady1981 · 27/01/2021 22:01

@Firevie hello! Thanks for asking!

I think I just ovulated. So let’s wait and see. I’ve started some ‘down regulation meds’ (that won’t affect possible pregnancy) today which will prepare my body for a round of IVF this month. We are on a short protocol. Have baseline scans Thursday next week to see if the meds have sent my ovaries to sleep (hopefully) and then I start injections pretty much straight away to stimulate my ovaries to make as many eggs as possible. Seems surreal but I’m ready! Still love to see how you ladies are getting on. X

bumptobean · 27/01/2021 22:12

Hi everyone! Think I’m officially sticking around here now.. the bleeding from my MC has stopped today. Think I’m going to give it a day or two and then away we go.. not going to wait for a cycle so will be trying every other night and crossing my fingers!

elsimo · 27/01/2021 22:29

@RichmondLady1981 i'll be keen to follow ur story.....we were just about to start IVF when I fell pg naturally in October!
Good luck x
