Hope that I can join the thread. Just had a wick read over some of the posts to find out about people's stories. So sorry to those that have experienced losses.
I found out in October, at 12 weeks, baby had died at 6. Miscarried naturally one week later right before my secondary scan. Periods have been a bit different since - not as regular and different duration.
We want to try again so this month be opted for the ovulation sticks by clear blue - my periods being a bit off left me wondering whether my cycle was off so wanted to know what was happening.
I am two weeks into my cycle after my last period started and finally got a flashing smiley today which was such a relief as had a horrid worry I would be infertile after the miscarriage - I know that may sound irrational.
Fingers crossed for some good news in a couple of weeks!
Can I ask - what do people do about exercise? I am usually quite active and do Hit training and weights but feel tempted to just cocoon myself apart from the daily dog walk but worried about that not being healthy either. Are those that are trying and waiting for a positive just planning on taking it easy? What will you do when you've found out if you're pregnant?

@Littleonefirsttime welcome to this thread, sorry you find yourself here too but hopefully you find all the help and advice useful!

I asked my midwife this first time round as I am also a fan of a hiit workout and do weight training too (albeit not heavy squats or anything as no gym!)

She said basically in the first trimester it's fine to do it if you were doing regularly prior to getting pregnant however just be careful of a couple of things... 1. Everything is a bit softer when you get pregnant so take care to not get injured, I tweaked my back literally bending down first tine round so muscles are all just a bit more susceptible to injury. 2. Be careful with abdominal exercises, they don't harm the baby but again you can end up injured easily. 3. Consider exercising with a lower than usual weight and at a lower intensity so that body temp does raise too high. She basically told me don't be pouring in sweat by the end of it! But honestly I felt like my body told me all those things, when I wasn't hanging over the toilet, light exercise was all I could manage. Hope that helps!

I had a terrible dream last night that I went in for surgical management again and the anaesthetic didn’t put me to sleep properly and I was really aware of what was going on. Then I got a nosebleed and tried to wipe it and they all freaked out because they thought I was sleeping 🤦‍♀️

Is it ok if I join? I had a ruptured ectopic at the end of October. Have waited a few months for everything to settle down and THINK I got a faint bfp yesterday but am so terrified it’s all going to go wrong again...

@ELMcg Hello! Thanks for your reply. That is good to know so thanks a lot. Because things went wrong last time I feel a bit worried about making any wrong moves - it is so easy to blame yourself and just want to have as much control as possible this time! I may just stick to walks over the next few days whilst the ovulation strips are flashing smiley faces at me! :)

@PumpkinEverything oh no that sounds horrible. I hope you're ok. Bad dreams are awful. I had a strange dream last night actually, I dreamt I turned on our baby camera and saw my DH teething my pregnant friend he loved her and she touched her bump and said I love you too. I was furious in the dream and thought it was his baby. This is completely fictional and DH and my friend didn't look like they do in real life. I wonder if it's my fear that I can't provide another child the way my friend can? Anyway it was horrible.

Oh that is a horrible dream @Pancakes7 it does sound like you could maybe be right in why you think that happened! I love looking up dreams the next day, but sometimes the answers are pretty crazy 🤦‍♀️

@PumpkinEverything I haven't googled it actually, I think I just know how I wish I could just get pregnant and keep the baby like my friend and it all be easy. Like maybe it's all my fault. But I know really that it could be my DH not just me. I hope no more dreams like that one though.

I'm using the clear blue fertility monitor and got a high result today so keeping dtd every other night. I think I'll get peak Monday. Got my mum staying over the weekend to watch our son as we're going to get finishing painting our kitchen (my mums in a support bubble with us as she lives alone) we don't want to miss trying so DH is going to pop home from work on his lunch 😂 🤞🏻

@PumpkinEverything and @Pancakes7 I hate vivid dreams like that!! They feel so real at the time and you wake up feeling really odd I think.

@PumkinEverything I find myself keep checking up on what your doing haha be use you and I are in exactly the same boat, due AF Mon I'm feeling nauseous waves throughout thee day. Not tested yet trying to wait until late... Not gonna lie tho I've been looking at baby things online which I know is silly. How your good today.

@NatJ24 thanks! I woke up to just some old blood this morning and nothing on a pad so hoping it was just a random one off thing! Yes started the OPK as thought no time like the present! Will keep you posted if I get a flashing smiley, fingers crossed you do soon too!

Aw @Pancakes7 I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to think that way as you don’t know the answer to it. There’s lots of different reasons why these things don’t work out so try not to beat yourself up over it. We’ll get our rainbows one day 😊

@Jaym78 it’s nice to have people who are at a similar stage! I’m still going between wanting to test early or waiting 🤦‍♀️ It’s torture having to wait until next week, but also I’m actually too scared to test early sometimes when I think about it 😂

Hi everyone!! I was just hoping for some advise??I am 41 and I miscarried in Dec at 11 weeks. I wanted to try again straight away but I’m not even sure if I’m ovulating now. I’m on day 13 and using opk sticks however they are all just blank . I’ve not had any CM at all either which is unusual for me.
Has anyone else noticed they’ve not ovulated after a MC? Thanks 😊

Hi @Jaym78 I'm due af this weekend, trying desperately not to test as it would still be so early and this is first cycle following my first af after mc, if that makes sense!

There is a small chance I could get a bfp as we dtd twice a day or two before when I think i ovulated but I didn't use opks this month so very small chance.

My anxiety was pretty bad following mc but im feeling a lot more positive now so if af does come this weekend I will be back to using clear blue opks next cycle and will follow the SMEP as much as we can

I had a similar experience. I mc-d on the 12th of November and I started to track the ovulation as soon as the bleeding stopped. It never came up positive and I got my period exactly 4 weeks later. In December, I finally got a positive test on day 18 and 19. I felt my hormones were all crazy, but I don`t think the actual ovulation happened. For that two months I completely dried out, before I never even had to test as I knew when my ovulation happened by the discharge. This month is the first time since the mc when my ovulation seems to be back to normal. Got my peak on day 15 (I test 3 times a day as my peak only last for 12 hours) and had CM ( still not the same as it was before, but definitely getting there).
I was extremely worried for those 2 months, I asked a doctor about and she said it is completely normal to have 1 or 2 anovulatory cycle after mc...I heard stories when women ovulated in two weeks and got pregnant again and I really hoped I will be one of them, as I am desperate to have a baby. Seems like for some of just need more time to recover.
Did your pregnancy test come back negative?

@Till1979 @Tina8800 that's really interesting from you both on possibly anovulatory cycle.
Had my MMC December and had a period start of this month. I thought I had ovulated after my MC as was using OPKs and got my peak on CD12 which is quite early for me. Then randomly got lots of EWCM throughout my TWW which threw me so I've been thinking it's possible I didn't ov or didn't when I thought I was and maybe a surge was detected but nothing happened. Had a BFN yesterday waiting for AF. Absolute mystery women's bodies 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi all hoping it's ok to join? About me - I'm 41 have two dc from previous relationship and so does my dp (39) but we have none together and would really love a LO to drive the teenagers mad 😂 we've had two mc both at 7.5 weeks, one was 3.5 years ago then we waited a while and started ttc again just under 3 years, had another mc in January at 7.5 weeks 😔 so now attempting to start again and going in all guns blazing - opk, bbt, Ferti-lily cup, pregnacare for him & her we need a sticky bean!

@Tina8800 I’m sorry to hear that, it’s just awful isn’t it 😥 I too was hopeful I’d be a lucky one who was super fertile after a mc but seems not. I’ve never really had much luck with opk and actually never had a positive but I generally do get faint line of not almost positive but this month absolutely nothing. Has anyone tried agnus casus herb? I’m considering trying it to try and regulate my hormones but worried it will throw them off all together xx
