@dippyegg32 We dtd every other day but it can get tiring with my husband working hard and me looking after our 20 month old. I worry we stopped dtd too soon this month but we did dtd cd6, cd8, cd10, cd11, cd13 & cd15
I think I had peak cd13&14 and I ovulated cd15. Fingers crossed it's enough 🤞🏻

ELMcg · 05/02/2021 07:27

@Pancakes7 so far we have been poor at DTD! We did on CD10 and planned to on Wednesday or Thursday but my OH has had a horrendous week at work so didn't want to put even more pressure on him! So we have agreed to make a big effort this weekend and hope for the best 🤞I just feel like I would be so gutted this month given I've put so much effort in to tracking. I just hope my app is right and tonight and Saturday will be enough!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/02/2021 07:36

@Pancakes7 @dippyegg32 @ELMcg so far we have DTD CD 6, 9, 11, 13 but no ovulation temp rise or OPK positive yet.

ELMcg · 05/02/2021 07:39

@TheDaydreamBelievers you've done so well! Going to have to step up our game this weekend and hopefully catch it!

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 07:45

So tested again this morning. CB line looked bolder but I don't think darker. Does anyone have any experiences with these tests?

I also did a FRER and I thought MAYBE something was catching my eye but I'm sure it's negative. Line eyes anyone?
@PrettyPinkPansies I've decided to say I had my peak CD13&14 so ovulated CD15 which matches what my app estimated. I've stopped testing now. I'm hoping that as I didn't know I was ovulating I was more relaxed which might help 🤷🏼‍♀️🤞🏻

Let us know how your test is this morning 🤞🏻
@Pancakes7 yeah I would do the same thing. are you going to still DTD? X

Pancakes7 · 05/02/2021 07:58

@PrettyPinkPansies Annoyingly we've not managed to dtd since Monday but going to tonight I think. But tbh I think we've passed the time to try. Into the dreaded TWW. I think we've not done enough dtd after the ovulation. So I'm feeling like it won't be this month. I normally convince myself I'm pregnant each month. But so far I think this month is a no.

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 08:02

@Pancakes7 just try do As much as you can from now to cover all bases. I think I'm out this month too but you never know!! I tested again this morning haha!

Strawberry08 · 05/02/2021 08:14

@PrettyPinkPansies your cb i can see and is slightly better than the one before!
The FRER I think is negative..but may not be in a few days. You’re still early Xx

Pancakes7 · 05/02/2021 08:15

@PrettyPinkPansies Oh yes I saw. I can't see a line tbh. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it'll get darker 🤞🏻. I've told myself that it's not happening this month so no point testing, just wait till AF. But I know what I'm like and next week I'm sure I'll be testing lol. I bought a big box of cheap early tests though to keep costs down.

Pancakes7 · 05/02/2021 08:17

@PrettyPinkPansies What DPO are you now? My app thinks my AF will be 12DPO. So I might test at 9/10DPO.

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 08:50

@Strawberry08 thank you, I'm stressed so much about all this now. I still feel like them clear blue ones are giving me false hope :(

@Pancakes7 I'm 10DPO. I wish I never tested earlier than today if I'm honest, but go with what you think! My app is predicting AF at 15 DPO

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 08:51

Has anyone had a negative test at 10DPO then go on to have a positive?

Also has anyone tried using a ovulation test as a pregnancy test? I've heard you can do that..

Pancakes7 · 05/02/2021 09:54

@PrettyPinkPansies Looking back my AF has arrived at 12DPO then 11DPO last month.

My last pregnancy, I took a normal test when I thought it was a missed AF (I wasn't TTC and wasn't tracking ovulation.) it was negative. I waited 2 days, still no AF and then it was positive. I've not used an ovulation test for a
Pregnancy test. I know I've heard of people doing that but I don't know how it works

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/02/2021 10:29

@PrettyPinkPansies I've had a negative on a One Step (10mIU) at 10dpo that was a clear positive at 13dpo.

What are the stated sensitivities of the Clear Blue and FRERs on the box? Personally, I do not trust blue line tests very much but that may be completely unfounded. Although, this study (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16295647/) found that FRERs are much more sensitive that Clearblue ("First Response Early Result had an analytical sensitivity of 6.3 mIU/mL. The sensitivity of Clearblue Easy Earliest Results was 25 mIU/mL")

I assume all lines came up within the time limit?

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 10:36

@Pancakes7 I think that's still a normal length of time? Funny you should say that but the exact same thing happened to me with my MC. I tested 3 days before and day of expected period and negative. 2 days after I got a really faint positive. But I have no idea how long that cycle was or when I ovulated.

@TheDaydreamBelievers the test is sensitive to 10ml apparently. Why don't you trust the clear blues? Yeah I have read that article too which makes me think I'm out this month since the FRER is negative 😢

Anyone else think this is really unfair? I'm getting really upset with this now. It's not fair, I had my baby. I shouldn't have to go through this

Catmum55566 · 05/02/2021 10:41

First post in a while as I had a little break. Trying to catch up but lots of posts on the thread to read!

Congratulations @PumpkinEverything!!

On the tests, I am unusual in that FRER don't seem to show up as obviously positive for me until a couple of days after the clear blues or cheapies. However, everyone else swears by FRER and they are the most sensitive.

CD12 here and feeling like my "normal" self again. FW is in 6 days according to my app. We were going to skip this month but have decided to try anyway and see what happens.

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 10:41

Here's the three clear blues. Top one 7DPO, middle 8DPO, bottom 10DPO (today)

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 10:43

@Catmum55566 really? That's interesting. I've only ever used CB and cheapies and this is my first time using FRER. I don't know why my CB are showing something and FRER is blank? It doesn't seem fair that I'd have three separate tests with a tiny line.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/02/2021 10:44

@TheDaydreamBelievers It absolutely feels unfair. And I'm sorry that blooming tests are messing with your feelings. Perhaps what could be helpful is to ban yourself from further testing until 13dpo or so, then use a Clearblue and a FRER from new boxes (or other tests, but new ones)? That means unlikely to be a faulty batch (as at the moment one of those tests has to be faulty - either the positive or the negative) and should get a super clear result.

Tina8800 · 05/02/2021 10:45

@PrettyPinkPansies You can use ovulation test, but it can be misleading. The T line has to be much darker than the C line. (Same when you have an LH peak). Not sure if its works on digital, I only tried on cheap strips.
However, once I got a really strong (although the T line was not darker than the C) 1 day before my period. So I think you can use it, but the LH can rise before period too, so it can be confusing.

It is possible to get negative at 10 DPO and positive later. My sister got pregnant last year, she tested every day from 10DPO and only got a positive at 14DPO. She has a beautiful, healthy boy now. If you have implantation late, it will not show up until days after the missed period.

Im on 12 DPO now. Yesterday I had some brown discharge so I was sure my AF arrived 4 days early. (my cycles seems to shorten every time since the mc...) Only happened twice and stopped, so now Im waiting if it gets stronger.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/02/2021 10:48

Sorry @PrettyPinkPansies dunno how I cc-ed myself above.

I'm more keen on FRERs because pink dye tests are less likely to produce evap lines. Thats also why you have to be super careful with how long the test is in urine (no over soaking or undersoaking) and reading within time limits.

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 10:50

@TheDaydreamBelievers the CB test from this morning was from a different box, and different shop :(. I was going to miss testing tomorrow and test again on Sunday at 12DPO.

@Tina8800 I have some cheap one step ovulation tests, I might give one of them a try then. Think I'm clutching at straws at this point.
Did your sister not even get a squinter before 14DPO? In my cycle that ended in MC I didn't get a faint positive until 2 days after AF was due, not sure if that means I was more likely to MC. are you planning on testing soon? If it makes you feel better, during my 1st pregnancy I had bleeding / brown discharge a lot all the way through pregnancy, for various reasons and he's currently watching cocomelon! 🙄

PrettyPinkPansies · 05/02/2021 10:51

@TheDaydreamBelievers yeah I timed it with stopwatch this morning, I also read straight after time limit for that picture :/

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/02/2021 11:00

@PrettyPinkPansies Im pretty sure if it doesnt show clearly on a pregnancy test, it wont show on an OPK. Im sorry lovely. Hoping for clear lines on Sunday!
