@PumpkinEverything @Strawberry08 there's deffo a line in real life however it is colourless. So I'm wondering if that means it's just indent? Anyone know how common they are?

PumpkinEverything · 03/02/2021 08:45

I’m getting excited for you @PrettyPinkPansies 😂 unfortunately I’ve only ever used CB once or it’s been digital, I normally use the FRER or the cheapies. Not too sure what the indent looks like! Did you try a cheapie as well?

@PrettyPinkPansies I feel like I can still see the shadow at the top part of the test, hopefully gets darker over next few days x

@ELMcg are you using the CB advanced digital ones? If so I read lots of reviews about how ppl had flashing smileys for ages and only got a solid when they tested in the evening (as LH is produced in the morning so surges in evening). So I held my pee for 4 hours and didn’t drink anything and got my solid smiley at 6pm. My LH has gone down since on the cheap ones so I would have missed it otherwise x

PrettyPinkPansies · 03/02/2021 08:50

@PumpkinEverything yeah I did but it was a 25ml mid stream one and I dipped it 🙄 it was negative. But the CB ultra early are 10ml.

@SLCxxx I hope so too!

I'm thinking of popping out today to get some different tests. Thinking of getting a FRER for tomorrow and some boots early? Does anyone have any recommendations of sensitive tests x

Tina8800 · 03/02/2021 08:54

@PrettyPinkPansies I dont think you should test this early. Implantation happens around 8-9 DPO, so practically you are not pregnant yet. Even after the implantation, it takes around 1-2 days for LH surge to show. Unless you have a very early implantation (maybe 6DPO) but that is very rare. Even so, things can go wrong when AF arrives, so I would not suggest testing this early. I know is it really hard, Im on 10 DPO now, and the only thing I want to do is test.... I`m sorry, but I think testing this early just messing with your mind, I suggest to wait a few more days.

PrettyPinkPansies · 03/02/2021 09:03

@Tina8800 I just couldn't resist any longer. I'm aware this is really early but I tested on the off chance I was wrong on my dates. At the moment I'm keeping a level head and saying it's likely to not be a pregnant result and I'll have to wait and see, but at least testing gives me something to focus on x

Strawberry08 · 03/02/2021 09:11

@PrettyPinkPansies I think as long as you haven’t got your hopes up too much it’s all fine, it’s looking encouraging. I recommend getting FRER to see. And you can get a positive test at 8DPO, I and others have before.

Right question for you all, I had my positive cb ovulation test on the 30th, along with lots of fertile cm for the few days before. So I assumed I ovulated on the 31st. However today I’ve just had more fertile cm so now I’m confused!! Can you get this after ovulation?!

SLCxxx · 03/02/2021 09:12

@PrettyPinkPansies I think I will be the same as you, your day 8 now so tomo day 9. I’ve only used CB and Tesco (has bad reviews) but @mrswilso gives FRER such a great review that I will be buying some.. has no idea there was pregnancy tests that can sense HCG at 6

@Tina8800 wow, day 10 🙈 my fingers are crossed for you

SLCxxx · 03/02/2021 09:16

@Strawberry08 I’m new to all of this but if it were me I would continue doing the deed (which I am anyway) just to make sure you don’t miss anything. They say LH surge triggers ovulation 24-35 hours later 🤷🏼‍♀️

PrettyPinkPansies · 03/02/2021 09:17

@Strawberry08 what did your positive look like at 8DPO? Also I got fertile CM at all different points, and when i was PG with my MC I had loads of CM before I found out, watery / creamy type.

@SLCxxx when are you testing? Is that how sensitive the FRER is?

SLCxxx · 03/02/2021 09:23

@PrettyPinkPansies studies say it can detect 6.3mlU/ml in upto 95% of samples. Most pregnancy tests are 20-25mlU sensitive

SLCxxx · 03/02/2021 09:25

Has anyone ever felt ovulation pains? My tummy is cramping like mad, really hope I’m not going to start bleeding again for the 3rd time 🤦🏼‍♀️

PrettyPinkPansies · 03/02/2021 09:26

@SLCxxx the CB ultra early say they're 10. Maybe I'll get a better answer from a FRER then if they're even more sensitive x

bez91 · 03/02/2021 09:33

I'm with @Tina8800 tbh. I'm dead set against early testing for myself, always wait until at least 14dpo. I find testing early just gives you more uncertainty than waiting and the result is the result if you test later with no ambiguity 😊 I'm also 8 months and 2 MCs in so I'm probably a bit of a pessimistic, cynical bi*ch 😂

@Strawberry08 my last cycle I ovulated then got some EWCM at random points during my TWW. I'd just keep going with DTD if you can 😊

Strawberry08 · 03/02/2021 09:47

@SLCxxx @bez91
I did an ov test and it’s negative (lot more faint than when I got my positive test) so I’ve definitely ovulated so i am 3 or 4DPO like I thought. Got to wait 7-10 days before I can take a pregnancy test 🤣

@PrettyPinkPansies my test was like yours at 8DPO, only slightly visible and was difficult to tell if it had colour or not. It then got darker a few days later so it was a definite faint line then darker from there to a very clear positive about 5 days after I got a test like yours x

Tina8800 · 03/02/2021 09:52

@SLCxxx Thank you! Fingers crossed for you too! I am terrified, keep telling myself it is ok if I`m not pregnant yet.... I only started to track my cycles in the last 3 months (I had mc in November) and it is driving me insane already.

@Strawberry08 It happens to me too, I have fertile cm 5 days after my peak. Not sure why is that, can the actual ovulation happen that late after the peak? I would also suggest to dtd just in case! If it only happened this month, it might be a good sign, as CM increase can be an early sign of pregnancy.

gizmo167 · 03/02/2021 09:53

Thanks girls, so hard not to panic! One thing about the ICs I have is they have been in my drawer for a year now, maybe I will buy some more cheapies just in case!

Elakiya · 03/02/2021 09:56

Hi Everyone,

Hope I can join too.

I have been ttc for 8 months and got a positive on Jan 11th. I miscarried on Feb 1st at 6w4d. 😞

I suffer from PCOS and am in the overweight category so cannot help but blame myself for this. I have decided to give myself 3 months to lose a bit of weight and also try and prepare my mind mentally for ttc.

How long did you wait until ttc? A friend told me that you’re fertility is high after a miscarriage?

SLCxxx · 03/02/2021 10:05

Hi @Elakiya welcome and sorry for your loss. I heard the same thing but not actually sure. The EPAU doctor told me we could start ttc again once the bleeding stopped and we were ready, so we started straight away. Hope your baring up okay, it is hard but you are not alone xx

SLCxxx · 03/02/2021 10:07

@Tina8800 your so strong for not testing, I would be a wreck, at least you will know for sure of the result. Keep us update 💕

Strawberry08 · 03/02/2021 10:16

@Tina8800 its odd isn't it! My ovlulation test this morning has confirmed I did ovulate so cm means nothing but will DTD just in case as you never know!

@Elakiya welcome, sorry to hear your story. Each time post miscarriage I have tried straight away. There is evidence to suggest you are more fertile after a MC. Some doctors do recommend one or 3 normal cycles though but there's no real evidence to suggest it helps apparently and some doctors say to try straight away so maybe just when it feels right for you and you feel mentally ready.
Also please don't blame yourself, these things happen and usually there is no cause but I know it is difficult to stop your mind trying to find reasons. xx

NatJ24 · 03/02/2021 10:21

@gizmo167 a definite postive on the CB! I would get some different brand tests like others have said, just to put your mind at rest.
@PrettyPinkPansies I would say wait a day or 2 and do a FRER. I like FRER too from my experience 🙂

NatJ24 · 03/02/2021 10:25

@Elakiya so sorry for your loss. I think unless there's an additional medical reason why your doctor says you cant start trying then you can just start once the bleeding has stopped and you feel mentally ready x

mrswilso · 03/02/2021 10:37

Get them on Amazon @SLCxxx - so much cheaper!
I'll catch up properly on my lunch break but I think I see it @PrettyPinkPansies 🤞🏻

Tina8800 · 03/02/2021 10:57

@Elakiya I`m so sorry for your loss!
I know it is hard, but please do not blame yourself!
I got told I will be more fertile after mc, so we started to ttc straight away. However, I did not ovulate for 2 months, and I wish I waited a bit longer, as it was very stressful and confusing to me to figure it out what was going on.
You might ovulate as soon as 2 weeks after the mc, but I think the most important for you is to be mentally and physically ready. Maybe wait 2-3 months, prepare with a right diet and healthy lifestyle to give yourself a peace of mind. That will also increase your fertility significantly.
