@Till1979 My first mc in Feb last year was a mmc, and it took me another 8months to fall pg (sadly that was an anembryonic pregnancy which I needed surgical management for!) I did ovulate after my mc, but later than normal, then AF came at normal time (meaning I only had about 6 days after ovulation before AF, so there’d have been no chance of implantation happening that month due to my short luteal phase. If it helps - I have found the cheapy easy@home opks are amazing! No other brand worked for me lol..and I have been able to pinpoint my peak then ovulation (i track bbt) which has been amazing. I know someone else of this thread had mention not ovulating after mc - so it could be that the hcg was still slightly too high to trigger it this month?

Hanbanxx · 28/01/2021 17:35

Hi everyone, just marking my place on this new thread. I've taken some time away as was feeling really down about the miscarriage, I think it's because it passed the time we would have announced it.

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in November. It was a horrible experience but we felt ready to try again. I ovulated on 24th December 2020 (before first period after miscarriage) but sadly period arrived exactly two weeks later. I haven't taken as many ovulation tests this month but believe I am now 4DPO. I'm a social worker in a Child Protection Team and make the decision to have the COVID vaccination yesterday so I'm not feeling to hopeful about this month... feels a tough time lately. I even had to unfollow poor Mrs Hinch from Instagram 😂

HereWeGoooo · 28/01/2021 18:01

Hello all - looks like I fall into this category too!

I'll be 35 next week - eek. I fell pregnant first try in Oct 20 but had a MC at 7 weeks - was shocked to get pregnant (so easily it seemed,) then even more shocked not to be again. Waited 5 weeks for first period to come before trying again. Had no success first try in Dec 20 and now we are in midst of second try .

I have a questions about CM please! I have a 32 day cycle and pretty sure I ovulate on CD 19/ 20. I've found that I get EWCM on CD 15, 16, 17, but then DTD on CD18 and 19 (when I've got a positive OPK) always feels more difficult because I'm drier. I thought you're supposed to have more CM on the ovulation days?
And to get into even more detail(!) I had gush of watery CM (not EWCM) into underwear this morning (CD 19) but that still didn't really help with lubrication when DTD this afternoon (helps that we're all working from home right now eh!)
It could be that I was more relaxed about DTD a few days ago, and closer to ovulation I've got all in my head about it, so fluids aren't moving freely!
Would love to know your thoughts - been reading too much and getting more confused ha!

Hi ladies just looking for some advice, I had medication on the 30th of December for my 4th missed miscarriage and passed everything that day. I’m pretty sure I’ve had a negative since then but only tested with the cheapies. Anyway, I had a static smilie on the clearblue on Friday night and a positive cheapie OPK too. So fast forward to tonight and I took a first response and there’s a very very very faint line, I’m not sure if it’s “left over hcg” as I’ve read FRER can detect levels of 7 (not sure what it’s measured in). Has anyone else had this? Obviously I’ll do another test in the morning to check but at 6dpo i can’t see it being a bee pregnancy? Any advice or similar experiences would be great x

mrswilso · 28/01/2021 19:41

@Sallyjo27 I was in a very similar situation - had two lots of pessaries, last one on 18th December, still testing faintly positive on FRER on 18th/19th January but AF arrived that week. Still spotting but I'm sure it'll be all over tomorrow so I'll most likely try an OPK then maybe dip a FRER if it's too dark (don't wanna waste them now that I need them again ha!) to double check that I've got a full negative.
So from my experience - you won't necessarily definitely get a full negative before AF arrives.

Oooh I should add that AF came for me on CD34 counting CD1 as the day I started bleeding with the pessaries - a relief as I was around 28/30 days before and was starting to worry at CD32 that it might take another couple weeks...

mrswilso · 28/01/2021 19:45

@Hanbanxx you made me laugh 🤣 anyone else HATING themselves for being such a jealous cow these days?
I had to remove myself from work today and go outside for a wee jealous cry over a pregnancy update 🥺

Pancakes7 · 28/01/2021 20:01

@Hanbanxx & @mrswilso I'm the same! I had unfollow pregnant people too & muted a pregnant friend. Unfortunately 3 of my NCT friends are pregnant with their 2nd. One is my close friend so I'm finding that so difficult. I cried a lot when each pregnancy was announced. Secretly hate everyone pregnant! lol

PrettyPinkPansies · 28/01/2021 20:09

@Till1979 I didn't get a peak until CD24. But I don't temp so I'm not sure if I've ovulated or not, fingers crossed I have and we get a bfp! CD13 is still early, don't lose hope yet x

Till1979 · 28/01/2021 20:19

@PrettyPinkPansies. Thanks hun 😊 I think I ovulated late last month too day 21 but thought maybe it was because the hcg levels dropped after mc. I usually start spotting around day 23/24 so have a short LH phase unfortunately. I’ve got a progesterone test booked this month so hopefully that may shed some light. I hope you get a positive result this month 🙏 x

PrettyPinkPansies · 28/01/2021 20:20

@Till1979 would a drop in HCG cause a positive OPK? good luck with your test! X

Till1979 · 28/01/2021 20:24

@Bellabubble it seems quite common to ovulate late after mc!! I’m not sure why. Age isn’t on my side unfortunately and we’ve been trying now for over a year. People tell you to relax and not think about it but it’s impossible when you want something so much. I don’t know about you but everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant so easily at the min. It’s hard not to feel so envious. I hope you have success soon, 🙏 xx thanks for the tip re opk tests x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 28/01/2021 20:26

@mrswilso yuppp. Lots of tears over other peoples pregnancies and babies here

mrswilso · 28/01/2021 20:43

Just finally got my BFN...after a suspiciously high LH dip 🤔
Would anyone else be jumping in the shower and giving DH the nudge with this result? 😏 I'm only CD9 🤭 - preMC I was ovulating around CD17/18, wouldn't expect that kinda line til nearer midcycle.

I was expecting a few more days rest before the banging begins, I'm not prepared 🤣

TTC after MC - Jan/Feb 2021 (Thread 17)
Sallyjo27 · 28/01/2021 20:52

@mrswilso I think that will be the case for me too, I’m due AF on Tuesday. My cycle so far has gone back to normal really quickly which surprised me as I ovulated on day 21 like I usually do. I won’t be using a FRER again though 😩 definitely will be saving them x

mrswilso · 28/01/2021 20:58

@Sallyjo27 I didn't even bother checking after my MC bleed. We DTD just whenever we fancied, didn't really TTC at all because to be honest, I really didn't have as horrendous a bleed as they prepared me for so I was quite looking forward to the reassurance of AF arriving around time for a change 😩
Just posted below that I finally got the negative though! 🥳

NI101 · 28/01/2021 21:08

@angc30 @Boogle27 congratulations on your BFP. I think we are all on similar timelines. I’m 4w2d today.

To be honest, I’m not best placed to give advice on this, as I am also feeling extremely anxious about it all. But from the advice given to me by others I have accepted that the feelings are normal. I just need to take each day as it comes and be the best that I can be. I’m drinking 2L of water per day, doing light 30mins exercises and generally keeping myself busy and happy!

I have also started to look into doing an early scan privately. I think most clinics call it a reassurance scan which can be done from 6weeks+.

I’ve also joined another thread for ladies who are pregnant after having a miscarriage. I trawl through their posts which gives me a little reassurance as many of them are soon approaching their due dates.

Do come along and join the conversation. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/4131041-pregnant-after-mmc-thread-5?msgid=104075295

chloedancer897 · 28/01/2021 22:34

Hi everyone,

I've been on this thread since last June maybe? So long that most of the people who were on here with me have moved on with pregnancy and I'm like a sitting duck 😢

I'm 35, TTC #3 for just over 3 years now. Had fertility investigations and they can find no cause. I had a MC in May at 5-6 weeks but absolutely nothing since. Still trying and hoping but with every month it seems less likely. We are waiting for private IVF treatment as I've been on the NHS list for 2 years and because of covid, I've been told it'll likely be another 2 years before I get treatment

Pancakes7 · 28/01/2021 23:16

@mrswilso yes go for it! 🤞🏻😂

bez91 · 29/01/2021 07:18

@mrswilso yayy good news, get on it 😉

@chloedancer897 👋 that's really frustrating with finding no cause. A lot of people say that they'd prefer a diagnosis so it's something that can be treated if possible. That's an awful long wait on the list, secondary infertility it appears is not a valid issue in the uk, I know a lot of other European countries have very different arrangements for this. Sending you love, I'm onto month 8 trying for one that sticks 😬

Gymbelle · 29/01/2021 07:22

How is everyone today?

My emotions are still everywhere and my best friend had her baby last night which made me feel sad and then I felt guilty for feeling like that (we were looking after her dog).

When did people resume exercise after? When the bleeding stopped?

@chloedancer897 it so so hard, the NHS is fab but fertility really seems to not be a priority. I hope things get sorted for you ❤️

Xxx

Till1979 · 29/01/2021 08:28

@Gymbelle morning, I totally understand when you talk about being sad about your friend having a baby. You want to be happy for her but you can’t help feeling sad. My friend is my age and took her 1 month to get pregnant. It’s so hard. I already have two so I’m lucky but it doesn’t stop me wanting this pregnancy so much. I started exercise about 4 weeks after my mc in Dec. Feel like it help clear me head.
Fertility definitely isn’t the priority and it takes so long to get any kind of answers doesn’t it. Hope your ok xx

Till1979 · 29/01/2021 08:33

@chloedancer897. Morning. I’m sorry you’ve been through that 😥 I’m also trying for #3 and at 41 it’s proving almost impossible. I fell pretty easily with my first but my last one was 7 years ago and I’m kicking myself for not trying for a third earlier but I guess we just weren’t ready.
It’s frustrating when they say they can’t find a reason isn’t it. I hope you don’t have too long to wait for IVF 🙏 xx

Jaym78 · 29/01/2021 08:43

Hey @Loll35 just seen your reply to me... Its frustrating woatong isn't it.. Do u. Have any symptoms? I've got quite a few which is now convincing me iim gomam get a positive which I know I shouldn't do. I've ordered a pack of frer, they are coming at some point today ( gotta love amazon) so that holds off testing until at leasst tomoz. I'm so queasy too. How are you feeling? Day 26 for me today

NatJ24 · 29/01/2021 08:53

@mrswilso ooo that's brilliant you finally got that negative and good news for the LH strip 🙊 good luck!!!

Pancakes7 · 29/01/2021 09:03

I had a video call last night with 2 friends doing an escape room. I know my friend is pregnant and I see her outside but she's always got a big coat on. She moved in the background and I saw her big bump. I know it's silly but it made me want to cry. I just feel it's so unfair. My due date is creeping up for my mmc. I can't believe I'm not pregnant yet. I keep thinking why is it taking so long this time? When last time we only dtd twice? Sorry feeling a bit down today.
