Update: OH’s SA results came back today. Although he has low testosterone, he had 80million sperm in his sample of which all had good motility. Not sure if the low testosterone currently affects us. Just waiting for my bloods now and go from there :)

dizzy85 · 15/12/2021 15:50

Hey all, so sorry I keep meaning to update, I've been too tired to function, plus I started evening hours at work and it's thrown my routine upside down 😄 anyway...all is going really well so far I still keep pinching myself is this really happening!
I've been really lucky they've been looking after me and giving me scans every 2 weeks so it's helped keep me calm. I will be 16 weeks tomorrow I can't believe it!

@shelly10111 what a gorgeous little man you have there! Xx

@NicoleR14 Thankyou very much, hope your well are you still trying? Xx

@Sungirl11 gorgeous photo you are looking really well! How far are you now? Xx

@ArjaD hope life is going all good for you xx

@Borolass84 wishing you lots of luck on your journey xx

Here is the picture from our 12 week scan 🥰

NicoleR14 · 15/12/2021 18:58

@dizzy85 I still can't believe it I'm so happy for you you both really deserved this! we have stopped trying as we found out we can't have children naturally we have paid for a fertility clinic in Glasgow for icsi and we should be starting our cycle in my next period which should be the 27th of this month fingers crossed! I'm extremely fertile which is a good thing but also bad because we need to have a frozen cycle of icsi instead of a fresh because I would produce too many eggs and at high risk of OHSS I think it's called lol so should have treatment and egg removal within the next month or so and then implanting around Feb/march time so fingers crossed it works out for us

Sungirl11 · 15/12/2021 19:13

@dizzy85 i'm 36weeks! 😱
Little Leia is already down very low and i'm starting to struggle now... i feel tired, can't sleep well, a lot of pelvic pressure and pains.. all normal but tiring!
So lovely to see you are finally getting what you deserve! This little one is strong 💪🏻

@NicoleR14 I am/was super fertile (according to all studies) and clinic was sure I would get 20+ eggs and it would have to be a frozen transfer bla bla...
I didn't respond to meds as they expected and only got 6 eggs 🙈 no OHSS and could do a fresh transfer (my little girl)!
It all went contrary to what they thought and were saying. The only thing they got right was quality that was good and that is why we were successful first time.
Anyway, however it goes you've got this now! Don't hesitate in contacting me if you need anything! I have a TikTok account where I have uploaded videos of my process (@theberofamily).
Wishing you the best of luck ❤️

NicoleR14 · 16/12/2021 09:18

@Sungirl11 that's what they've told me they've said my amh is 24.4 and it's too high for my age (22) they expect to collect at least 50 eggs from me because I'm so fertile I'm at super high risk of twins so they won't give me a double transfer because one egg could split they've said I might get OHSS because I would produce too many they can't give me a fresh transfer becaus of that but honestly I'm really hoping it's similar to you and I get a fresh cycle! I would really like to hear more about your journey and for any of the girls on here that would like to talk about anything at all my number 07493413512 I'm not very good at answering a phone call I have really bad anxiety WhatsApp is really my specialty lol I don't get my emails for Mumsnet which is terrible but I'd really like to stay in touch with everyone and keep up on your progress as you deserve this little angel and you to @dizzy85 yous both really deserve this and I'd love to stay in contact to see how your little cuties is getting on!

dizzy85 · 30/12/2021 07:01

@NicoleR14 Thankyou so much. I know it will all work out for you too just stay positive, that's not too far away to wait for implanting, im excited to see how you get on 🥰xxx

@Sungirl11 wow you are so close now. I hope your doing ok? I'm so excited for you..what is your due date again? Xxx

Sungirl11 · 30/12/2021 08:09

@dizzy85 morning!
I'm 38+2, due date is the 11th!
I have my midwife appointment today, but just routine check.
Would love this angel to come out on Sunday, but it is very unlikely hahaha
I'm feeling ok, heavy and uncomfortable most of the time now but not too bad.
We have everything ready so it's just a waiting game now 🥰

How are you doing? X

dizzy85 · 30/12/2021 14:48

@Sungirl11 aww it won't be long, and you will finally get to hold her🥰
I can't wait to hear all about it.
Is Sunday a special day for you?
You never know she might be early 🤞

I am good thankyou, I had another scan a few days ago and things still look good, baby was moving about so much, I swear it waved at us 😆 I am 18 weeks today can you believe it! When did you first feel movements? I thought this morning I could feel something like little prickly flutters which could be something.
I'm on the countdown now until the 17th as that is our 20 week scan and we can finally find out the gender 💗💙xxx

Sungirl11 · 30/12/2021 15:09

Sunday was/is my mom's birthday, so it would be really special as it's the first one without her too.
I felt things around week 17-18 but not sure if it was gas or baby haha never knew...
First kick was at 20+1, the same day we had our 20w scan. The sonographer asked if I didn't feel the kicks as she was moving so much, and that night she kicked me in the hand and then her dad. I have posterior placenta (behind) so it's easier to feel the kicks. Since then she has been non stop, literally a pickle!
Today she was following the midwifes hand as she was exploring my tummy and kicking her. Midwife found it hilarious.
Time has flown really quick honestly, enjoy every week because I already feel I will miss having her in me and she isn't out yet 🤣❤️

dizzy85 · 01/01/2022 14:23

@Sungirl11 aw that would be a lovely day for her to be born on. But if not I hope the day goes ok for you. Will you be doing anything for it? It is really hard but your mum will be looking over you and smiling proud.
That sounds amazing feeling her kick I can't wait. I have an anterior placenta so I've read it can take longer to feel but I am definitely getting little flutters here and there..could be gas haha.
I am seeing the midwife on Friday and I get to hear the heartbeat for the first time I'm so excited. I'm definitely enjoying every second.
I need to start buying stuff next...ive not got anything yet.
Did you do any more to your nursery? I remember you said it needed some more decorations. Xx

Borolass84 · 08/01/2022 10:51

Happy new year to you all Smile

Received letter from fertility clinic saying my blood results will be discussed at a follow up appointment in 3 months time. Previous blood results were deemed “borderline” due to incorrect dates by GP. Awaiting appointment for gynaecology scans; will keep you all updated.

Sungirl11 · 26/01/2022 09:25

Hi everyone!!!
Sorry I haven't said a word, what a chaos life becomes with a newborn! Haha
She was born on the 20th at 40+9!
It was a 28h labour and ended in hospital because her head wasn't well positioned and her HB was really fast, I couldn't push her out so needed forceps help.
It didn't end as I would of liked but we had no other option... she came out unresponsive and got taken immediately to give her a good shake and aspirate liquid and all (intubate if necessary etc...) but after what felt a whole lifetime she cried! It took 1 or 2 mins but I can assure it was one of the most terrifying moments of our lives.
Leia Ana was born 8lb 9oz (3.890g) and 59cm long (biiig gorgeous chubby girl).
We are totally in love! She is suuper good. Feeds, sleeps and gives us the best smiles and funny faces.
She is perfect!
We had our 5 day check yesterday and babies are expected to loose weight, up to a 10% it's ok. She has put weight on! Hahahah makes me laugh how surprised the midwife was.

Very excited to see you have a girl too @dizzy85 🥰 wait until you see her... I can't describe the love, it's unreal.

@NicoleR14 sooo glad you are starting treatment already!!! Time flies, I remember when I started and she is already here! Crazy! And please please remember every down you have during the process.., it's ALL WORTH IT!

Big hugs all x

dizzy85 · 26/01/2022 12:04

@Sungirl11 omg congratulations she is gorgeous🥰 that sounds absolutely terrifying what you went through I can't even imagine!

I'm so glad to hear everything is ok now. I was genuinely getting concerned, I kept saying to my other half, I hope sungirl is ok as I knew you were due on the 11th, but his answer was just who's sungirl 😆

That's great she's put on weight, are you bottle feeding or breast?
I bet the love is so unreal 💓
How long was the labour?
Please keep us updated I'd love to hear more about how it's all going.
Take care and enjoy being a mummy 🥰xxx

Sungirl11 · 26/01/2022 12:23

@dizzy85 awww!! Thank you for worrying!
Labour started at 6am on the 19th when I broke waters. They came out very slowly, not like a massive gash of water. That same day I had contractions but mild and spaced, at 6pm they started to be stronger and closer, midwife came at around 9pm (had home birth booked) checked me, i was 3cm dilated so not enough and she left. Called back at 5am as my contractions were spectacularly painful and close, both midwives came and at around 7am on the 20th I was 8-9cm dilated but they noticed the HB rate high and got concerned as I had been in labour for over 24h by then and there was a risk of infection. We then decided to go to hospital (transferred by ambulance super quick) pushed for 30min there and she wasn't coming out... gynae was called and she found out baby's head was sideways and big so it was quite difficult for her to come out and told me I needed forceps to help her out.
She was born at 10:39am.
I exclusively breast feed, i'm a crazy boobie feeder haha had colostrum leak before birth and on Saturday my milk already came like ridiculously crazy, and she feeds sooo well. Midwife was very happy yesterday with how she latches and everything. X

dizzy85 · 26/01/2022 18:22

@Sungirl11 24hours wow! It must have been such a crazy amazing experience. I am really looking forward to it, I've not talked about my birth plan with midwife yet. I didn't realise you were planning to birth at home. I'd love that but not sure if they'd let me.
Glad the breastfeeding is going really wel that's great. I plan to do the same hopefully it works out it. Do you have to wake her for feeds every few hours?
Omg it suddenly dawned on me the other day that I have no idea what I'm doing 😆 I have sooo many questions I need answered haha I need to get reading into things more it's going so fast 18 weeks left for me! Xx

Sungirl11 · 26/01/2022 18:40

@dizzy85 I do have to wake her up most of the times and she falls asleep on the breast so have to stimulate her constantly haha she is a little sleeping beauty! But you have to insist and never give up. I offer it constantly, if she doesn't want it she doesn't have any for sure. They know what they want 🤪
Birthing at home is amazing, even thought I never delivered here... but it is painful and you need to be very strong minded and confident. I wouldn't change a thing. X

dizzy85 · 28/01/2022 17:46

@Sungirl11 sounds like your taking to it all naturally, so happy for you. Please keep us updated how your getting on. I can't wait to meet my one 💓xxx
