Could I be pregnant?

Hi folks, I need some advice and I hope you people in the know can help. My last period started on the 17th December, I had unprotected sex on the 27th December. It is now the 19th January and I've had no period and also no cramps etc. Tests so far have been negative.
Has anyone with similar timescales gone on to be pregnant??

When were you expecting your period to start?

ChattyMum86 · 19/01/2021 21:21

Probably round about the 15th. I took one of the '6 day early' Frer tests though and it was negative 👎🏼

You could be. Depends on your cycle etc.

But my period was 14 days (!) late this time when I'm usually bang on every month so 🤷‍♀️

Keep testing is the only advice.

Viviennemary · 19/01/2021 21:26

It's possible. Do you want to be pregnant?

ChattyMum86 · 19/01/2021 21:35

Yes I would love to be pregnant 😔 I will keep testing. I got the line on the pic attached but unfortunately I didn't get back to the test before the ten minute limit as I got a work zoom call so this was after 20 mins ...

Could I be pregnant?

It's very unlikely if the 27th was the only day you had unprotected sex.
Would mean you ovulated on cycle day 9 or 10.
The first response at pretty accurate from 12 DPO. Meaning you would have got a positive on the 8th of January.

sabrinathemiddleagewitch · 19/01/2021 21:38

If you've got a line your pregnant! Congrats

truetuesdays · 19/01/2021 21:42

That's a positive test!

ChattyMum86 · 19/01/2021 21:44

I don't think it is though as this was after 10 minutes and I had a negative frer the following day 😔

Thank you @sabrinathemiddleagewitch , I did think that might be the case 👎🏼 was hoping I'd stumble upon someone with a success story.

Ah well, now that we got semi-excited, we'll put more effort into it next month haha! 🙈

@ChattyMum86

I had a negative test, put it in my bin. Took another 2 days later, was positive. Checked the one in the bin and it was faint positive too . Test again in a day or so Smile

iftherewereahorseyinthehouse · 19/01/2021 22:14

Your test is quite clearly positive. Take another.

iftherewereahorseyinthehouse · 19/01/2021 22:15

That's not an evap line and it wouldn't be looking like that after ten minutes of it wasn't positive anyway

mummabubs · 19/01/2021 22:21

I think unfortunately if the frer was done after the blue dye test and came up negative it seems unlikely as they are much more sensitive. Sorry OP! With my first child I had to test 3 times, 2 days apart and didn't get a positive until 6 days after my period was due, so if no period arrives I'd test again in another couple of days x

ChattyMum86 · 19/01/2021 22:39

Ok I will retest in another couple of days. 👌🏻 thanks all so much for your responses, it really helps when the head is spinning with thoughts/questions.

I do agree though, I haven't seen an evap like that before but know that frer is so sensitive, so confusing!

I'll keep you updated. Good luck on all your journeys ❤️

WalkingMeAway · 19/01/2021 22:44

It looks positive to me. Also not unknown to ovulate as early as CD 10 or the sperm could have hung on for a few days.

Good luck x

TTCNO2PLEASE · 19/01/2021 22:58

OP that looks totally positive! And for a clear blue as well, they're usually evil and say BFN even when you're pregnant.. if i saw that after i POAS i would be adamant i was pregnant... keep us updated but i'd say you're pregnant

WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot1 · 20/01/2021 06:58

I find CB tests show BFP for me when FRER show negative. I also think there have been issues with FRER (maybe the ones bought from Amazon or something?) so definitely don't count yourself out based on a negative FRER.

Fingers crossed for you OP.

MissyMilinky · 20/01/2021 13:35

Hi! Sorry - newbie here! Can I just ask what CB and FRER tests are? Thank you x

MissyMilinky · 20/01/2021 14:06

Thank you so much!

MissyMilinky · 20/01/2021 15:07

OP it definitely looks like that was a positive test - I've heard of false negatives but not false positives! Fingers crossed you get the answer you're hoping for.

MissyMilinky · 20/01/2021 15:08

I think i might be in slightly the same boat (hence the lurking!). I have 28 day cycles like clockwork (I'm never ever late). I was due Monday, and felt AF gearing up in the normal way. But I'm now 3 days late with no sign (not even any warning spotting like I always get). The PMT symptoms have all continued full force - I feel like its about to come on any second - but since Sunday I've also felt v nauseous and tired/hot and bothered. We aren't actively trying to conceive but are planning to start in the near future, so have definitely relaxed our safeguard!

Did a test the day I was due on, which came back negative. Going to maybe wait another day or two before testing first thing just to see. It would be a relief just to know either way!

ChattyMum86 · 20/01/2021 15:52

@missymilinky thank you, I really do hope positive. I haven't taken another test yet.

Everything crossed for you too 🤞🏼 definitely in a similar boat xx

ollibum20 · 20/01/2021 19:24

That looks very much like a positive test to me Smile I haven't had a line appear at any stage when I've had a negative so I think it is good news for you x I have everything crossed for you x
