@MrsKin90 I’m feeling like this today too.. I’m waiting for my AF and I’m not sure I can take another failed month. When do you think you are due roughly, I know your ovulation date you weren’t sure on?

@AdriannaP really hoping this is your sticky bean ❤️

@eloiseislost like Mrskin I’m looking forward to when you test too as it sounds so promising!

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 15:09

@MrsKin90 Not to worry, I'll probably post the test here before I show DH! 😆

Try not to think about AF at this point, but you're right, that transition from hope to crushed dreams to more hope to more crushing is basically TTC in a nutshell! How's your temp and RHR?

OP posts:
eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 15:11

@Lori23TTC I hope AF stays away!! 🤞🏼 Are you going to test this weekend?

OP posts:
MrsKin90 · 28/01/2021 15:49

@Lori23TTC I think I'm probably 11dpo today, or 10, as I'm now going by my RHR and the spotting I had 12 days ago as O date. This seems to make the most sense with the nonsense that is my BBT chart. So I'd expect spotting at the weekend and cramps to start on Saturday as that's been consistent with every cycle I've had. It is getting really hard isn't it? How are you getting on? We're not that far apart DPO wise are we?

@eloiseislost I'm no longer taking my BBT as once I was sure I'd ovulated I declared it useless 😂 my RHR is as attached! Very weird this cycle and different to previous patterns which fills me both with hope and dread. The last two cycles I've had huge jumps on 11dpo up from 67/68 to 70/72 only for it to crash back down and for AF to be two/three days late. My heart beat has been sat between 75-85 all day, where it usually sits at 65-70 max when working at a desk. It said I was in the fat burn zone earlier when doing absolutely nothing. I'm wondering if it's faulty.

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 16:00

@MrsKin90 I like your RHR chart! 😉
And the fat burn zone thing is also promising, when I was pregnant in November, my Apple Watch would give me 100s of cardio points while sitting in front of the computer writing notes! 😐
Don't want to give you false hope or anything, but things do look good at present. 🙂 Fingers tightly crossed no signs of AF at the weekend! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@MrsKin90 I am DPO11 so we are in sync 🥰 I have attached a pic of my RHR too - very similar! But as it’s my first month tracking I can’t compare to anything. I’ve had cramps in my left side today and had my spotting on days 6-8 which are 2 symptoms I never had before but our bodies do play tricks on us.
I’m struggling to be honest I just feel like I don’t know what to do with myself half the time, everyone is getting pregnant and asking us when we will have one as we have been married 18 months now - it’s just really tough as no one knows that we are SI - I just get frustrated we can’t do it normally but I know it works this way so just need to be patient! I think it will be our time one day 🥰

@ @eloiseislost I think I will test at some point this weekend if AF hasn’t come - I hate this waiting time 😬 hope you are ok xx

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 16:06

I just got a phone call from the hospital because I had put my name down for extra weekend shifts in the covid wards. When the woman asked me if I was available this weekend, I completely froze and after an awkward 10 seconds or so, I blurted out "I might be pregnant!" The woman was like "Oh… maybe congratulations then!" 🤪
Then I read an article on the news announcing there is a huge covid outbreak in my local maternity unit! 😱
I need to get back to my pink cloud of denial. 🙉🙈🙊

@eloiseislost you deff did the right thing saying that you don’t want to be going in there if you are pregnant xx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/01/2021 16:18

@AdriannaP I’m so sorry I missed this-huge congratulations to you! Sending lots of luck and crossed fingers you have a healthy and safe pregnancy 💖

@eloiseislost sending lots of luck and fingers crossed to you too! Eek!

@Lori23TTC and @MrsKin90 I hope you’re both ok and keep thinking a day at a time. No periods yet is a good thing.

Well I’m cd29 so I’m due to start within the next 2-4 days. Rhr on Fitbit and temperature is higher (not taken with thermometer but I can feel myself burning up on the night. Nausea feelings and really painful boobs too but again, all the signs of a period arrival ☹️ Crazy dreams too but all this I think could also be linked to feeling a bit down and teary. Wish there was even just one symptom that signifies pregnancy so your mind doesn’t start daydreaming!

I’ve said after September that if I believe I’m pregnant and late I will wait at least a week due to what happened last time with my a&e visit.

Had a phone conversation with GP today, to get the ball rolling for tests for further help. If I start my period I go in for blood tests on cd21 next month.

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 16:30

@Oilyoilyoilgob Thanks, still no sign of AF today, let's see how this goes! I'm with you with the waiting for a week, that's what we agreed with DH for this cycle. Of course, I have 2 CB digitals in the bathroom whispering my name so we'll see…!
It's good that you got the ball rolling with tests, I'm sure that's a bit reassuring at least, that even if AF shows up (knocks on wood) at least you will get some assistance! Lots of women find out they're pregnant just before fertility tests/treatments so let's hope the universe has this funny sense of humour in store for you too! 🤞🏼🙂

OP posts:
Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/01/2021 16:37

@eloiseislost oh I do certainly hope so! It’s been a really stressful time with many things since end of sept and I know that alone can halt a bfp.
So we’ll see but yes it’s good to get the ball rolling but (and I know this sounds odd) I really don’t want invasive procedures/hormone treatments.
I do have anxiety in health settings (in Sept I had to have an ecg for my heart rate, was mortified at him placing the stickers due to my fat 😧) so I feel really nervous already.

She also said today about my bmi which is 26.6 😐 I’ve lost 10lb since last May which is great so if I put the effort in I know I can keep losing. Which I now need to. Gulp. I also dread this about giving birth my big fat legs etc....is it possible to just hide in a dark cave to give birth 🤔😅

Makingnumber2 · 28/01/2021 16:38

Hi everyone-
sorry to hear you're both feeling on edge @Lori23TTC and @MrsKin90 this whole TTC thing is such a rollercoaster and not the fun kind. As someone else has already said, ,just take things one day at a time and that's all you can do. Really keeping everything crossed for both of you for some good news.

@AdriannaP glad to hear your lines are going strong and next Friday isn't too much longer to wait now for scan, although I'm sure it feels like forever!

@eloiseislost I'm sending you a maybe congratulations too and totally understand why you don't feel ready to test yet. I will be ready to crack open some virtual bubbles for when you do though... Wink

@Oilyoilyoilgob sorry you're getting all your usual PMS symptoms. It's so crap isn't it that there just isn't one definitive pregnancy sign and instead all of those signs are the same as AF. And if it's any consolation my app is telling me I have all the usual signs I get before AF- hot flushes at night, watery CM. It's great you've got the ball rolling with your GP though about future tests- that's positive action that will only get you closer to your rainbow baby.

I'm CD25 according to my app and 5 days from my period. Luckily I've been so busy with work this week I haven't even thought about peeing on a stick, so this month might be the month I don't crack and test early!

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 17:02

@Oilyoilyoilgob I can't see how you'd be "fat" with a BMI of 26.6! But then again I think all women have insecurities about their bodies! It's funny you mention childbirth because I hate how me "down there" looks and thinking that it'll be in plain view for hours…!! 😱
Well done on losing some weight, especially amidst the pandemic -it's almost impossible not to emotionally overeat these days!

@Makingnumber2 Maybe thank you! 😂😘 Keeling my fingers crossed for you! So many people here are nearing the end of the 2WW, I hope 2021 starts with a bang of BFPs! 😃

OP posts:
AdriannaP · 28/01/2021 17:26

@Oilyoilyoilgob thank you so so much 🥰
I also have a high BMI and honestly when you give birth you really don’t care what you look like and who sees what. Your mind is busy focusing on getting that baby out! And well done on losing 10lb! I am such a bad yoyo dieter!! 🤦🏻‍♀️😔

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 17:27

Oh @Oilyoilyoilgob I just remembered: here's a piece of potentially useless advice! When you're anxious in a healthcare setting, try constantly curling your toes (when you're sitting down of course!) I get anxious when they draw blood/give jabs or even simple consultations and one nurse told me this and it sounds completely silly but it does work! 😄

Just popping in quickly to wish everyone who is testing soon (or holding out a bit longer) the very very best of luck and I will be thinking of all you lovely ladies Smile. I hope we get lots of BFPs this month 🤞✨

7dpo over here, AF due on 11dpo according to my app 🤔. I might buckle and test then if she doesn't show up🤞. Not normally one for early testing but I've been very tempted this cycle for some reason 🙈😂

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 17:29

Hi @Bluey18 🙃
Are you tracking ovulation with OPKs/BBT? Your luteal phase is likely to be more than 10 days, your app sounds confused! 😄

OP posts:
Bluey18 · 28/01/2021 17:43

Hello @eloiseislost, I track with OPKs, it think my app is just going off the last cycle which had 10 day luteal phase. Mine seems to be getting shorter the last few cycles.

I know I should be sensible and wait, and generally I do, this time it is just dragging on and on though.

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 18:01

@Bluey18 10 days is still perfectly normal for luteal phase! Just be mindful that it is entirely possible to get a BFN at 10DPO even though it's only 1 day before your period and still get a BFP later on. I find it really frustrating with early tests, they claim "6/5/4 days before your period is due" but they don't mention the very important detail that these claims assume a textbook 14 day luteal phase. 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
MrsKin90 · 28/01/2021 18:05

@Lori23TTC your chart looks more exciting than mine and your signs sound positive, anything different to normal to positive imo. I think I've said this previously but I've actually started telling people we're TTC when they say thoughtless things or tell us "get a wiggle on" because we've been married two years in a month. Obviously not telling them the SI version but that we've been trying for more than a year etc. (so secretly asking them to stfu). But it's really hard when it seems to be happening for everyone all around!! Depending how my RHR goes over the next few days I might test on Sunday. 🥰

@eloiseislost thank you lovely. Well done avoiding that situation!! 😬 Imagine that.

@Makingnumber2 and @Bluey18 coming up the exciting part of your tww 😁 whether you test or not I hope it goes quickly for you both!!

@Oilyoilyoilgob 😂 having been in the room when my best friend gave birth (years ago) you're definitely not fully on display the whole time and if you are almost everyone is avoiding looking directly at that area unless there's something imminent going on down there. I can, hand on heart, tell you I don't know what my friends thoughts or private area looks like 😬 and health professionals see much much "worse" (who really loves that area on themselves) so try not to worry! I hope it's not PMS ❤️

Makingnumber2 · 28/01/2021 18:37

@Oilyoilyoilgob 26.5BMI definitely doesn't sound 'fat' to me! And you've done amazingly to lose 10lbs since May, in a period of time when we've mainly been in some form of lockdown! I can safely say I haven't lost any weight since May and most likely have gained, but am trying to get on top of things now. When I had DD I also thought I was going to be really conscious but tbh I couldn't have given less of a crap- I had bought a tankini for the birthing pool and that was all off in the space of an hour and I was just butt naked for the next 10 hours and couldn't have given a stuff. If you are conscious I do recommend a birthing pool actually because you can be on all 4s etc or in any number of positions which means your lady parts are not right in everyone's faces, so perhaps that's worth bearing in mind for the future Wink.

@MrsKin90 good for you for being more up front now when people comment. I hope they do get the message and stfu! It irks me so much that people even have to disclose the fact their TTC because I feel really strongly people just shouldn't make comments on topics like that until the person brings it up themselves. It's just so personal and you can never know the struggles people might be having with it.

@Bluey18 you and I are only a few days apart on our cycle Smile really hope we get some good news next week!

Since I posted earlier saying I hadn't even thought of POAS yet now all I can think about is my massive cheapie stash in the bathroom Grin. I'm going to have to sit on my hands- or might do what you did @eloiseislost and pee on an OPK to tide me over!

eloiseislost · 28/01/2021 19:10

@MrsKin90 Good for you for being open about TTC, it certainly shuts most people up! Funnily, that was my response to nosey coworkers even when we were not TTC! When someone would say "Oh you are married now, are you having any kids, you should think about it, time flies" I would respond "We are already trying" with a semi-sad face. 🤥 😄
Such a delicate matter, why do people feels it's ever OK to say these things?

OP posts:
Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/01/2021 19:18

Ooh ladies you are all very kind but I can assure you I’m deffo FAT 😂 I’d love to say all this walking has made me a toned 11st 1lb gazelle but my thighs and stomach say otherwise! The GP didn’t say anything to me but I’d really like to get down to a healthy range, hate seeing my lower belly and thighs when I go for a wee 😳

I’m laughing at all your ‘between me down there’ stories! I’m not as bothered about them seeing there, it’s my thighs and my upper arms 😰

This is a very exciting time for the thread, lots of us in our tww or nearly due a period. Surely to god we’ll have another bfp on here soon 🤞🏻🍀

Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/01/2021 19:23

And @MrsKin90 good for you for telling people you are ttc. Hopefully once they’ve been told it’ll shut them up-do it like @eloiseislost and do a sad face to shame them! Nosey buggers I hate it.

I’ve never asked anyone personal questions about engagements/marriages/babies-there can be so much going on behind the scenes. I wish people would think, but it’s often the ones that have the luck of quickly getting pregnant that ask and I think just simply do not realise how hard ttc can be for lots of people xx
