Flashing smiley - clear blue

Hi everyone!!

Exciting times... I got my first flashing smiley on my clearblue ovulation sticks just now.. going forward what do I do from here? Besides the obvious 🙈

Sorry this is will be my first and never used these ovulation sticks before 😀

I'm using these and my plan was to DTD every other day when it's flashing and then every day for 2/3 days when it's static...others may say different though?!

Oooo okay! This is the first month I have ovulated since coming off the pill in November.. we a ttc baby number 1 so wasn't sure what the best way to approach this would be 🤣🙈 you spend all your teenage years trying to avoid getting pregnant when really you have such a small window to get pregnant every month!

Hi! I used these and I’m waiting patiently to take a test! I DTD every other day when I got my flashing smiley then when I got my static smiley I did it once, I’m pretty sure I ovulated around 1 day after. Fingers crossed! X

Very exciting @emilyylouise 😁 I’ve had flashing smiley for past 4 days and this morning I got my static smiley!

We’ve been DTD every other day when getting flashing smiley but now I have static smiley I think we’ll do every day for a few days and hope for the best!

I got my static smiley last night!

For some reason I thought I would have had a few more days with the flashing smiley??
Anyway we dtd last night and will again tonight 😀🤞🏻

@emilyylouise great news! I think I had flashing for about 5 days but everyone is different! Sending you lots of baby dust! X

If I got my static last night are my best chances to also dtd tonight?

@emilyylouise they usually say you should ovulate I think 12-36 hours after the smiley so if it was last night I would definitely do it today and maybe tomorrow morning if you can fit it in 😂 but if you were DTD before static hopefully the sperm was up there waiting ready :D x

Hi everyone. I’m on my 4th cycle after coming off the pill. The first two months I used CB OPK, then didn’t in December and then have this month.

This month I had 5 days of flashing then on Monday I got my static face. For both my static days we DTD and will again this evening to be sure (my partner is at work until late which is annoying)

Before hand we done it the day before the first flashing, then left a day, then done it. Then left a day and had it again the day before the static face.

Awesome! I will dtd tonight! Hopefully that's enough as OH gets up so early and I'm not prepared to do it half asleep 🤣

Heads up, if it keeps flashing after 10th day, take a pregnancy test!

Ooo okay! Am I right in thinking I have to leave it for 2 days once I get my static before I can test again ?

If you get a static smiley face you don't need to use the ovulation sticks after that.

If they are smiley for 10 days it says in the instructions to stop using them as it means you won't ovulate however they get confused by the pregnancy hormone so if you are pregnant they'll keep on flashing

Mine kept on flashing for 10 days and I took a pregnancy test...my eight month old is sitting next to me

I didn’t realise you could take them after? I have always wondered. Every time I’ve got a peak I haven’t bothered again that month. But now I’m intrigued 😂😂

@Gerardeen95. Hope you dont mind me jumping on. Im CD21 currently on day C of flashy smiley face from clear blue. This is my longest yet and also latest potential ovulation. Shall i keep testing or stop? Appreciate any advice x

Hi @JessB89! Sorry you didn't say which day of flashing face you're on (or am I that tired I don't understand anymore )

@Happythoughts91 once you get a static face it will stay like that for 48 hours so don't waste your sticks and use one a day after. They're very expensive

Day 3 of flashing for me and have managed to DTD on day 2 and this morning 😂 That one was an unplanned extra lol @Braxos how are you getting on?

Nooooooo my OH wouldn't dtd last night 😫 was our second day of solid smiley!!!
Will try again for tonight however don't know if I have already missed our window 🙈

Im on day 3 of flashing. Although i forgot to check this mornig so screen went blank. Im interested to see how this links with my period app in terms of ovulation date.

Are you all testing only in morning?

@Gerardeen95. Yes i will stop. Im CD22 today so im ovulating alot later than normal. We have been DTD every 2 days the whole month. Thankyou
