As the Post Pill Party fills up, the lights are dimmed and the music drops a beat. The lead singer of this rambunctious band shouts: Mosh Pit!! The ravers all storm for the small space in front of the stage allowing their bodies to dance to the beat however the f* they want!! You go ladies!!

This is the 7th post pill party thread for women whose bodies aren’t quite dancing to the expected rhythm: we have delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs!

@ElizabethP141 Ooooh that's a good shout on the temping, think I'll try that and see how it goes? Re: your question on the clearblue OPK's, I'm trying them this month after a few months of using ICs and struggling to catch a peak. These ones you do with first pee of the day, and a wee digital display tells you if they're low, high, or peak, so you don't need to try and judge the lines or worry about time of day - in theory!

I'm now on day 6 of "high" though... so I'm a bit concerned I'm just going to be high for ages and no peak!

I thought it was interesting that the ClearBlue machine thing that you can buy that's like £85 doesn't even record temp? So it obviously thinks you can work it from these tests alone - apparently they do 2 hormones and not just LH like the IC's.

@FlyingGiraffe Might supplement with the IC's in the evening just as a test, that's a good idea.

@MissC07 I binged Bridgerton as well, loved it! Duke of Hastings is very easy on the eyes lol.

@Juno231 I think either today or tomorrow, I’ve just done a OPK and both lines looked the same colour to me but premom only gave them a 0.67 so still low

@crabette thing is the smiley face CBs do two hormones as well so the monitor always sounded like a right rip off to me. One of my TTC clueless friends drove me mad about the monitor last year. She's been trying on and off for over a year but doesn't know anything about how TTC works really - someone told her about the monitor so she's been raving about it, telling me all these people got pregnant within a couple of months of using it and how her SIL used it and realised she was ovulating CD19 and therefore had been missing her egg etc bla bla bla. She kept pushing it on me no matter how much I explained that it's just a fancy ovulation test and that I know exactly when I ovulate due to BBT - I don't need to pay £100 for this thank you.

The funny thing is that the one cycle she could be bothered to try it it never gave her a peak reading lol.

I'm loathed to bother with anything expensive either as I'm sure my body has multiple surges.

@crabette I'd definitely try it along with the IC's. I have a feeling I might get my peak today or tomorrow and seeing as the clearblue are so expensive I dont want to waste one without checking with an IC first. If it does happen itll be nice to know we've dtd on the right days beforehand.

@Juno231 I agree, the fertility monitor is a waste of money for essentially the same test as the advanced digitals. It just inputs the data for you by the look of it, but I can do that myself for a rather nice saving thank you very much! Haha! When you say about @chinchilly maybe being the day is that because the temp went really low? Mine has been around 36.35 but today dropped to 36.17. Does it usually drop just before ovulation?

@ChinChilly maybe the lighting? If it was the same colour as the control line that sounds like a good positive to me! Maybe itll be darker this afternoon 🤞

Arghh, I’ve lost my sense of smell & taste! I knew something was off when I couldn’t smell the dogs 💩 this morning! Off for another COVID test I go

@Juno231 Yeah totally agree! I've only been using the CB OPK's, they come with the wee smiley face reader - even if you have the machine you still need to buy these! And you plug this reader into the machine once you're done for it to record the result 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I haven't bought the machine, as it sounded like a very expensive FF app to me. But think I've had a similar experience as you with a friend lol, she knows someone who used it successfully and it's brilliant and tracks everything, etc etc... (Yep, I'm already doing this with my app, plus it also logs BBT which the machine won't do 🤯)

@Kay00 Think I'm having multiple surges as well. Just thought I'd try the CBs this cycle to see if the extra hormone made any difference in identifying a peak... not holding my breath though!

@Juno231 @Kay00 £27 for the month though, so even just the CB OPKs are not cheap!

Hi all, can I join?

I am 30 and in month 3 TTC (CD1 today). Came off the pill in early November and so far both cycles have been 34 days. Convinced myself I was pregnant twice on both cycles but turns out the pill was hiding PMS symptoms.... d'oh.

I haven't been doing OPKs but going on CM & temp.

I was diagnosed with PCOS about seven years ago so I am worrying any eggs I'm releasing aren't as healthy as they could be!!!

Also - does anyone else do shift work? I'm a front line emergency worker and I can't help but think the shifts and the stress aren't going to help! For example I got punched in the face last night - not ideal for TTC a tiny bean!!

So these OPKs are all from today at various times, they all look the same to me but premom has them at all different readings...confused!

By far the darkest line yet!! Hopefully I ovulate soon! I’m excited as it’s the first time I have seen it so dark

@ChinChilly Those look like strong lines!!! They all look the same to me too (maybe the top one is a bit darker?!) take it as a good sign though!

I'm now worried that I'm not doing my OPK's properly as my test line looks a lot wider than both of yours 🙈 My temp also went up this morning so I don't know what's going on 🤷‍♀️

@ChinChilly Thanks! I'm so new to all of this I have no idea what I'm doing. Fingers crossed the covid test comes back negative 🤞

@MissC07 I got to the test site, and they had packed up and gone, the woman in the building next door said they just left a few hours ago and didn’t say anything...have to try again tomorrow 🙄

@Moocher90 keep testing (I'd recommend the easy@home brand ones too as they are clearer to read!)
I got my peak at 11.30pm at night. It was still strong with FMU at 8am but otherwise I would have missed it so when you get as high as that just keep testing!

@ChinChilly Urgh that's so annoying!! Can you pre-book a test slot for tomorrow? My OH did that when he got tested a few months ago.

This month is a weird cycle, CD18 here and no LH peak when I normally get LH peak CD15/16. Think there might be a malfunction happening as had the horrendous AF at beginning of this cycle. Baby dust ✨ to all ❤️❤️
