As the Post Pill Party fills up, the lights are dimmed and the music drops a beat. The lead singer of this rambunctious band shouts: Mosh Pit!! The ravers all storm for the small space in front of the stage allowing their bodies to dance to the beat however the f* they want!! You go ladies!!

This is the 7th post pill party thread for women whose bodies aren’t quite dancing to the expected rhythm: we have delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs!

So I used my advanced CB ovulation test and I got a static smiley! This is really happening! I think this is my first proper confirmed ovulation since coming off the injection and pill! Hopefully the tww will commence soon

Temp rise this morning OPKs are showing even stronger today though, hopefully they will tail off later on today

Got my fingers crossed for all these awaited ovulations! @ChinChilly and for a negative covid test!

Not much to report here. CD3 and my period is being a bit weird again. CD1 was a light day, yesterday was spotting and today I've got nothing so far. A year ago this would have been the entirety of my period but the last few times this has happened I've gone into a medium flow day after I thought AF ended, with lots of cramping and 2-3 more days of AF!

Forgot to take my temp today - not sure that's happened before lol.

@Juno231 that's not like you! How were your temps looking up to yesterday?

@ChinChilly I really hope you don't have the corona-lurgy, and that your well timed BD last night was worth it... Come on little egg!

CD36 here... temps are steady around the 36.00 to 36.10 mark. Meh. Bloods taken this morning. Hopefully find out my inflammation levels on Thursday.

@Kay00 I really hope that the inflammation resolves itself quickly xx
It’s only taken over 5 months to catch a peak reading. 😳 But glad something is happening! Just got to hope I have vulgate and then have a decent LP... it’s non stop one thing to another 😂

@Kay00 I hope your results come back ok. Or at least give you some answers. Hopefully nothing comes up though and it's just your hormones settling still.

@Juno231 how are you getting on? Hope you're doing ok. Your period sounds so off at this late stage. Maybe it's everything going on affecting it?

8dpo here and the wait is so slow! Without wanting to wish my life away (not that there's anything to do!) hurry up weekend for T day!

@Nellieee ooh you're just entering the "fun" part of the TWW! Best of luck! And yeah I agree, although my cycles are so good compared to a lot of the ladies on here so I don't want to moan lol. But it's only very recently that my LP seems to have regulated, I still ovulate on a different day every single cycle and my periods are always a bit on the weird side and change frequently as well. I wonder if the bloods taken by the fertility clinic will show anything different but I doubt it, so far all has been clear.

Omg so apparently they might weigh me at this fertility appointment! The thought of doing that in front of OH who hasn't got a clue what I weigh or that I now weigh more than him makes me want to vom lol.

@kay00 I'm following your inflammation with interest I must say. I know so little about it! Like I get it in theory but then I'm like, how does it even feel/how do you recognise it as such, how on earth do people realise they're having a flare up, what the heck does a blood test pick up on (white blood cell count?) etc. I'm not expecting you to answer these btw, I'm just musing.

@Kay00 Are they testing your C-Reactive Protein? When I had ongoing issues about 5 years ago that's how my gastroenterologist picked up on the inflammation and sent me for further tests. It still comes and goes now but is way more manageable. Fingers crossed they can give you some answers soon! x

I have a hereditary condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) which has so far (compared to other family members) effected me quite mildly. My flare ups are usually joint related; my joints will be sore or painful, stiff and sometimes stop moving (for example I could twist my spine at all for 6 months in 2019... that was fun!). But I get lots of other random ailments... my kidneys hurt a lot and one of my kidneys has shrunk, and I get random stomach pain (lots of bubbling and aching and sometimes pain). I even lost the sight in my left eye for about 7 hours on October 2019 (I was probably less scared than I should have been with that one haha). Often my inflammatory episodes come with night sweats, feverish symptoms (although interestingly no spike recorded in BBT) and fatigue.

But its this most recent bowl inflammation which has made my doctor and I realise that all of these things might be related. As all these symptoms can be caused by inflammation. Not sure which condition she has in mind, and it might be a few combined together (AS with a side of IBD for example)... I think I need to see a few more specialists first.

@ChinChilly that’s great about the peak OPK and I’m sure the temps will become clearer in the next few days. Hoping the covid results are negative.

@Kay00 god that sounds really tough but sounds like you cope with it really well. Hope you get some answers from these bloods.

@Juno231 don’t suppose it could be implantation bleeding? My periods are so annoying since stopping the pill - a week of spotting until proper cramps and heavy flow.

@Kay00 that sounds really rough! I too hope you get some answers from blood tests - although I'm sure you don't particularly want to add another condition on top of your AS, at least you'd know what was going on

@Nellieee Hi cycle buddy! 8DPO for me too and I was literally thinking exactly the same as I read your post - the TWW is agonising! It's my first proper TWW so in my head I'm all like 'but what if I'm pregnant!!!' Know it's probably v unlikely so early and have practically no symptoms at all so trying to give myself a reality check! But will be testing Saturday as well eeeeeek!

@cams50 ahahhaha don't get my hopes up! I'll be that crazy lady drowning in period blood but testing anyway on CD4 just in case it's IB!!

@Kay00 ooh I know AS! But I've only seen the terrible kind through an insta account I follow so I'm really glad yours is mild.

Are you hypermobile at all? Only asking as some of the stuff you mentioned could be due to EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) as well, and I think there tends to be a correlation between that and AS. My best friend has EDS and I spent some days with her in hospital during the first lockdown as she completely lost her eyesight because of it, (it's all back now but took a month to recover) and has had 3 angioplasties on her kidney in 2020 as one of the vessels is constricted, probably caused by the EDS too.

Abi555 this is my first TWW too! Remind me how long you’ve been trying Nellieee?

How are you both feeling and when are you planning on testing?

I feel completely normal but guess it’s too early for anything anyway. Unless AF gets me first I’m testing next Tuesday. If I’m not I think a negative test would upset me more so I’d rather wait, but don’t think I can wait any longer than Tuesday! (Which would be late for me as my LP is normally 11 days)

I'm feeling entirely normal apart form slightly sore nipples which is normal in LP anyway.... so can't say I feel any different. But I don't think a lot of people do, so might not mean anything.

I'm testing Saturday morning! OH and I have just bought our first house together and we move on Friday. I'm expecting a BFN, but just in case I want to have a guilt-free glass of champagne (don't judge me!) on Friday evening as it has been an incredibly difficult 15months to get the house sorted!

You're holding out till Tuesday though! I don't think I could make it that long!!

@Juno231 yes, I am hyper-mobile (although often my mobility is effected during a flare up) but I can't get my leg behind my head any more haha... but I think that's just my age!

I have not heard of EDS before... and its very interesting about the similar symptoms. Down the Google rabbit hole I go!

Wish I had done my advanced CB OPK yesterday morning as think I would have got peak yesterday instead of this morning as my OPKs for today are not as high and I guess it would make abit more sense.

@Elsie2021 @abi555 hey cycle sisters!! It's our second month so still early days. Hopefully some good news for a drab January is on the cards for at least one of us eh?! Absolutely no symptoms for me, unless I really try and think about it. V v mild cramps on 6DPO and I convinced myself I was nauseous a couple of times, but just hadn't eaten anything yet! 🤦‍♀️ @abi555, think I'll also test Saturday. Congrats on the house btw! Bet it's a relief for you!

@Moocher90 OPKs are a minefield. Have you been jumping your OH the past few days? Don't worry too much.

Quick check in, I'm lurking away just haven't felt up to posting (and nothing to tell).

Tiny bit of spotting today so think that's month 3 done for me. Another 8 day LP... I don't feel like I want to do anything just yet though to mess with my cycle as it's only been 3 months off the pill and ov has been consistent at around CD18/19.

@Moocher90 I've been using those OPKs as well, I just can't work with the cheapies at all, too much guesswork. Even I can work out a static smiley lol
