As the Post Pill Party fills up, the lights are dimmed and the music drops a beat. The lead singer of this rambunctious band shouts: Mosh Pit!! The ravers all storm for the small space in front of the stage allowing their bodies to dance to the beat however the f* they want!! You go ladies!!

This is the 7th post pill party thread for women whose bodies aren’t quite dancing to the expected rhythm: we have delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs!

@Emmgrem I'm sorry about the stress this is causing. Possible it's a chemical. Also possible the hcg just hasn't risen much yet. It's hard, but I think the only thing you can do is retest in a couple of days time

I’m now hopefully in the TWW, just waiting for my temps to confirm ovulation. Thinking I ov yesterday, temp up a little this morning but I usually get a more gradual rise anyway. I’m roasting hot though, which is unusual for me, so hoping it goes up and stays up tomorrow🤞

@Emmgrem I see it too! I'm not an expert on BFP's... so my only advise is to keep testing. Its good news that your temps are still really high!

@Juno231 oh wow! Yeah I'd definitely be happy it's still going ahead then! It's crazy how many knock on effects covid has had - things that will affect their lives waaayy after the pandemic is 'over'.

@Elsie2021 congratulations!! That's amazing. With the sickness and the really strong lines at 14dpo.... Any history of twins in your family?!

@Emmgrem I can definitely see a faint line but can't tell if it's pink or not. Sorry it's so ambiguous. I honestly think it's just a waiting game at the mo - test with tomorrow afternoons wee? I really do think that if it's a BFP it should become clear with time! Though I know that's ridiculously frustrating and you've already waited two days since the first vvvfl.

I am testing for BFN every two days at the moment. Had a massive reduction in my line the other day but today's one isn't that much lighter 😩 I'm having to try and be patient and wait it out! I think I just got my hopes up that today's would see another massive reduction. At least the bleedings stopped for a good few days now and I might get to DTD soon 👀😜

@Nellieee AF got me at the weekend. Was bummed, but have been distracted by the box-mountain that is currently my living room so have managed to put it out of my head and now just waiting for end of AF.

I had v light spotting for about 5 days prior to AF, which might mean nothing, but I'm wondering whether my progesterone levels are lowish... so have ordered some vit C and B complex. When in doubt, order a new supplement seems to be my current TTC moto haha!

@Emmgrem I'm so sorry it's so unclear! I would just wait for AF to see what happens now.

@LauraT94 gosh they're really strong still! At what point do you need to check back in with the docs about it to make sure there's no more retained product?

@abi555 Sorry to hear AF got you... Good shout on the Vit Bs though - I find it always helps to focus on something new to do/try when a new cycle starts.

CD10 here - it always amazes me how quickly the AF-FW goes for me. Now let's see if OH is ready to start DTD!

@Kay00 @Juno231 thank you, I'm CD26 now. I'll do an OPK later and keep testing, but stupidly got my hopes up the other day when I had peaks and highs.

@abi555 sorry about AF. I’ve also started b vitamins this cycle to hopefully help with spotting.

@Emmgrem really sorry it is not clear what is happening. Unfortunately all you can really do is wait for AF or test again in a couple of days. The not knowing is awful.

@Emmgrem That line is def there... I'd sit on your hands if I were you for 2 days to pass and then try again. Really hope it's just a slow hcg rise and AF doesn't get you. Could you have ov'd a day or so earlier?

For those of you that like reading the story behind the BFP (which I always do!) here’s mine....

We have been very lucky in that this is our first month TTC however we have been ‘preparing’ for a long time.

I came off the pill in February last year to give myself time to get back to normal as I came off the pill before and it took me 8 months to even have a period!

This time I came on after around 2 months but my cycles are really long so I started doing some research and came across this thread! (The very first one). That was when I learnt about temping and OPKs which I started doing which confirmed I was ovulating but around CD30+ and my LP at its shortest was 8 days.

I stopped tracking for a while to try and chill (as we weren’t trying yet) and when I started again I was ovulating around CD17 and my LP was about 11 days. So I was happy with this although this was only in November/December so it took about 9 months after coming off the pill. My periods were also still very light as they had been since coming off the pill. AF lasts around 2 days and would only be light and would basically stop at night and then a third day of just spotting.

So January we decided to start trying, and we really wanted to give it our all!

DH has been taking Wellman conception for around 4 months, I have been taking Lloyds pharmacy own mum to be tablets for about 6 months.

We DTD every other day from CD6 and then when I got a positive OPK we did it for 4 days in a row. We used conceive plus lubricant and I would stay lying down for at least 15 minutes after.

In terms of symptoms I didn’t really have many. I had some tummy cramps around 9 and 10 dpo but only very mild. 11dpo I was sick but I can’t really be sure if this is related as I feel fine now and since 12dpo I’ve had sore nipples. Now 14dpo and BFP!

Thank you to all of you for your support over the last few months. I haven’t been very active but have been following everyone since the very first thread. You are all so supportive of each other and I wish you all mountains of baby dust!!

I love reading them. That’s interesting about how long it took your body to get back to normal coming off the pill.

Oooh @Elsie2021 we used Conceive Plus too this month!! Didn't think much of it really as the tube was so small and not sure how much of it actually got "up there" but interesting we both have BFPs!!

Congratulations and thanks for sharing your story. I have never heard of conceive plus lubricant, I’m looking that up right now.

I hope everyone else is well. I’ve been a bit absent as just wanted a little break and was finding the new lockdown a bit stressful

So I’ve just looked into lube and I didn’t even think certain ones could hinder conception! My oh is on the large side and so if we are doing it regularly we need to use it sometimes. I’m now wondering if that’s been a hinderance. Thank god for this group. New lube ordered lol

@Tillybabs ah yes lube is a big no no when ttc unless it's specifically a fertility one! Change that ASAP. Hope you're in a slightly better place mentally now - god knows this lockdown malarkey is shit all round...

I'm losing the will to TTC at the moment - the Covid news is so bad and I'm anxious. I went back on the pill for two weeks but had my period anyway thanks to my previous ovulation, so I've not taken it for the past couple of nights... still really not sure whether to go for it this month. I would be higher risk for miscarriage and ectopic if I conceived so I'm worrying it's not a great time to be in and out of hospital. I really don't fancy my chances with Long Covid as I already have chronic pain and fatigue. No idea what to do really! Because the situation could get better in a few months, but might also get worse...

Anyone else worrying?
