When did you get your BFP?

I'm losing my mind.

Usually my cycles are 27-29 days. The longest I've had in the last 12 months (according to my app) was 34 days and that was a one-off.

Today is CD36. I had a BFN on CD32 and last night, which I know was silly of me to not use FMU. No more tests in the house, I've ordered more but they'll arrive late tonight or tomorrow.

I guess I'm trying to cling on to some hope, so I'd love to hear how long your cycles were and on which day you tested positive? Or if you got a BFP after a BFN and how many days there were in between?

I have absolutely no symptoms, not even PMS. I was too hot a couple of nights ago, but that is probably just from too many blankets.

If I'm not pregnant then I just want to get AF out of the way, but the uncertainty is driving me crazy.

I just replied to a similar post... I have long cycles - 30 days. With my first I tested at CD29 and got a negative and thought that was it. Then almost a week later I realised I still hadn't had my period and retested and got my BFP. That was CD35.

Best of luck. I hope you get the result you want x

Thanks, appreciate your response. I've not seen the thread, what was it called?

So, today is CD37 and I got a load of EWCM this morning. Can't find any useful information online as to why this is happening.

I saved my pee from yesterday morning and tested when the FRER arrived in the evening Blush it was a BFN, naturally.

I feel like my body is pranking me. Last night a had cramps and brain fog and was convinced that I would get my period overnight & I even dreamed that I woke up to blood on the sheets Confused

I've kind of lost my appetite, but this might be because I started intermitted fasting and my body is adjusting to eating in a 9 hour window?

Oh I'm sorry. It's all so confusing isn't it. Has this happened before?

Jurassiclover · 15/01/2021 12:59

I got my BFP on CD70 but my cycles are so so irregular that I don't think my story is anything to go by haha. I hope you get the result you want soon though!!

Never had anything like this, I'm so confused and annoyed!

Jurassiclover

Bloody hell! Congratulations though Flowers

Another BFN this morning. I give up.

I spent all morning in bed, reading up about what could be going on - naturally it's either twins, the menopause, or cancer Hmm

TheBeesKnee · 18/01/2021 12:24

I'm going to email my GP clinic and request a blood test and a referral. I feel bloody ridiculous. There's a pandemic and I'm fussing over a missed period.

Sod's law says that AF will turn up as soon as I click send Sad

beggingforsleep · 18/01/2021 13:17

Ah I'm sorry. But at least if contacting the GP promoted AF to turn up it would be an answer of sorts!

And don't feel bad about contacting them. Life goes on.

tavileh · 18/01/2021 13:30

@TheBeesKnee I just found your thread, going through exactly the same thing!

I normally have 24-28 day cycles, and my app predicted AF would arrive last Wed. Nothing so far, took a test yesterday that was BFN, today is day 32, 16 dpo! I've had a weird cycle, with really sore boobs, strange cramping for the last week, and started feeling a bit queasy, but obvs this could all be in my mind.

A friend said it took her a really long time to get a BFP on a home test, and she has a lovely baby girl now, so fingers crossed this is all good signs! I'm totally with you though, I just want to know, one way or the other..

TheBeesKnee · 18/01/2021 18:20

tavileh

I've had cramps too. On two occasions I thought AF was on the way and NOTHING.

Sorry to hear you're in the same crappy boat. How long have you been TTC?

It took hours to get through and then I was told that the GP will call me on Wednesday between 9am and 3pm Hmm

Same here! I’m cd37 and no period and bfn. I feel so swollen in my uterus and cramping and getting stabbing pains but negative opks and pregnancy tests. It’s driving me absolutely crazy. No sign of period at all.

TheBeesKnee · 19/01/2021 09:15

CD41 and I think I hallucinated a very faint line on a Clear Blue test this morning. It's not showing up on photos but I swear I can see something in real life. I might have finally lost the plot!

Boobs feel a bit bigger, but that could of course be AF on the way.

SalemsPot22

How are you getting along today?

OP posts:
tavileh · 19/01/2021 09:46

@TheBeesKnee I took a test again today, and I think I might have seen a faint line. But also could be imagining it. ARGH.

This is 13th cycle TTC. As if it wasn't hard enough going through all these months of nothing, its so annoying to not have a clear result at this point!

I've heard that the hCG hormone that the tests measure doubles every 48 hours, so I'm going to wait 2 days till I test again. See what happens next!

SalemsPot22 · 19/01/2021 09:46

Still in the same boat! I imagine lines on every test haha!

Still lots of weird feelings in my uterus. My doctor has requested a urine sample so I’m going to drop that in in a bit.

This is such bullshit.

TheBeesKnee · 19/01/2021 14:29

I am definitely hallucinating, aren't I? There's no line in photos but I'm convinced that I see a faint one when I move the test around in front of my face Hmm

I have a meeting in 3 minutes and I am UNPREPARED because I've wasted the day on this. Good grief I need to get a GRIP.

When did you get your BFP?
OP posts:
cat8986 · 19/01/2021 14:45

@TheBeesKnee I can see the faintest of lines! If I look directly at where the line would be then look away, I can see it, if that makes sense?
Fingers crossed for you but it looks promising to me! 🥰

cat8986 · 19/01/2021 14:48

Btw, I read a very old thread on here recently and a lady was in the exact same position as you and got her bfp one week after af was due, so definitely possible.
Good luck ✨✨

Wibblewobble99 · 19/01/2021 19:04

Hey ladies. I think it may depend on when you ovulated do you know?? If you ovulated late in your cycle for whatever reason it may be that it has taken but is just taking ages to show up whilst your hormone levels rise?? I considered that when I had a random 35 day cycle but no pregnancy just stress. Fingers crossed you’re pregnant! Xxx

TheBeesKnee · 19/01/2021 21:41

Wibblewobble99

Yeah this happens to be the one time that I didn't track ovulation Hmm DP was working a block of night shifts when I was due to ovulate, over Christmas no less, so I didn't bother.

I don't think I've ever had a cycle longer than 32 days? So we're 10 days beyond that.

To be honest even if I'm not pregnant, I'm worried. There's a history of cervical cancer in my family so I'm extra alert about anything unusual in my nether regions.

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 19/01/2021 22:36

I'm CD 33 and no sign of af or pms symptoms... too scared to test! Hope you get your BFP🤞🏻

Wibblewobble99 · 20/01/2021 08:28

@TheBeesKnee I’m sorry I wish I could put your mind at rest. Maybe do call the GP and see what they suggest? If you do any more tests use first morning urine on a really sensitive test like a FRER and remember hormones increase every 48 hours in early pregnancy so you may wish to not test every day. I don’t want to sound patronising but do you think the desire to be pregnant/stress over being unsure could be contributing? I am desperate to be pregnant again and My periods have gone from 28/29 days to anywhere between 28-35. The 35 month was defo the month I was most stressed with work as well as wanting to be pregnant. The human body is cruel at times. Wishing you loads of best wishes and baby dust xxx

TheBeesKnee · 20/01/2021 09:49

This thread is turning into something of a diary for me, so for posterity's sake I'll say that today is CD42, still no AF and a negative test this morning. I took a digital and seeing the words "not pregnant" took quite a bit of wind out of my sails.

I missed the GP call just now and I've asked them to ring me back. I feel like this drama will never end. I'm not sure whether to lead with "my period has gone MIA" or "please refer me to the fertility clinic".

Wibblewobble99

I see what you mean, but we've been TTC for 2.5 years so I feel like I've transcended the normal stresses of really wanting a positive test result. I think each month a tiny part of me hopes to be that friend of a friend you always hear about who got pregnant randomly after years of trying unsuccessfully and is basically a walking medical miracle Grin

OP posts:
PeanuttyButter · 20/01/2021 09:55

My periods have been like clockwork always 24 days without fail. Last month on cycle 1 it was 28days but BFN, I think stress is playing a role. I would definitely get it looked into @TheBeesKnee
Currently 10dpo, tested yesterday and BFN so think I'm out

SalemsPot22 · 20/01/2021 11:05

Did an frer this morning and still negative! I give up now I’m going to start taking some Agnus castus as I heard that can help regulate cycles
