Hi girls - looking for a little crew to share the ttc journey with - we are newbies this year - decided on Jan 31st to start trying after 12 years together! but had literally just missed my ovulation day for that cycle, so even though we had some fun over NY we are properly starting next cycle around the end of the month - just have to wait to finish this cycle now, and I've never wanted a period to come so quickly haha!

So - any cycle sisters out there who will be trying with me on or around end of Jan? I'm Cd21 right now.

And feel free to share stories and ages!

I'm 34 and have been off the pill for about 2 years now - we don't really use protection just pull out lol and never had a scare so I'm a little worried we could have a bit of a long journey. Although my mum conceived me first time trying so I'm praying it's in the genetics lol!

Not sure about you but I'm already getting obsessed which seems to be pretty normal lol but it would be good to have some pals to talk to rather than my cat or my husband, who I think I could quite quickly freak out if he knew just how many mum'snet threads I've read!

Also... What are you most looking forward to being pregnant?
Xx

@KM11 go for it girl! Will keep absolutely everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

LittleBeansprout · 27/02/2021 18:47

Hello Everyone,

I'm a Newbie/Oldie, I used to post here many moons ago when I was first ttc.

I had my first dd (now almost 3) accidentally and now we are ttc properly with all the charting etc etc.

I'm on CD33 (11DPO) and I've had some spotting today but I've also have a dip in my bbt, not massively but it's been dropping small bits over the last couple of days.

This is only the second month of ttc but I haven't been on any contraception since way before my DD was born.

Congratulations to all of the recent BFPs, it's really lovely to read about your journeys!

SISSON19 · 28/02/2021 09:38

@HaresHoping thankyou so much!
I have been using these tests along with the app and wasn't sure the best time to take them. I have had a positive result yesterday for the ovulation so my fingers are crossed x

HaresHoping · 28/02/2021 12:58

Hey everyone, I'm absolutely fine but just to let you know, was a chemical for us unfortunately this time. The good news is this means we're having a rare beef joint in sandwiches, with lots of red wine ☺️ hope everyone okay and enjoying the sunshine xxx

MeganK93 · 28/02/2021 15:21

Hope you don’t mind me joining!

Just started ttc on cycle 1 at 3dpo at the moment just feel I need some ladies to chat to through the journey I think it goes over my boyfriends head most the time!

I’m feeling so broody! I keep seeing ladies I know announcing their pregnancy or putting scan photos up on social media!

Little bit obsessed with OBEM at the moment..

Anyone else just starting their journey?

Aims1991 · 02/03/2021 09:40

@Wondergirl1111 Hey how are you keeping?
I'm now 1dpo and af is due in 10 days roughly! Feel so emotional this month just thinking I'm messing up when I'm OV and not getting it right🤷🏻‍♀️ fingers crossed for some good news this month.

Wondergirl1111 · 02/03/2021 10:27

Hi gals!

Thanks for checking in @Aims1991! 1dpo - here we go! praying that you get a bfp in roughly 10 days time!

@sack83 congrats on your bfp! Any progression? @HaresHoping WAS SO excited to see your BFP but sorry to see later in the thread that it turned out to be a chemical. Glad you're feeling ok though and getting some wine in before the next round!

So - here i am six weeks preggo! was feeling totally normal until 5 and a half weeks, when all of a sudden the queasiness set in. My stomach is so bloated and I can't suck it in lol! We've told close family which was so fun. But man the hormones. THE HORMONES. They are crazy. I feel very unsettled - over the moon we're pregnant, and I know it's just hormones but they are making me feel homesick in a weird way! Just unsettled and a bt insecure. I've spoken to my best friend who said she felt the same - and that it goes away usually after the first 12 weeks. If I didn't have her to talk to I would have felt even worse, so if anyone feels like this when you get your bfp and the weeks following, it's normal! But a bit tough.

Other than that though - exciting! My mums already planning what she wants to be called and has settled on GiGi - so extra lol.

Sending morning sickness wishes to you all xxxxx

@Wondergirl1111 Ah that's so exciting telling close family! I think I maybe contact GP if no good news this month. I think I ovulate too late to AF arriving🤷🏻‍♀️ Your mum must be excited if she's thinking of names for you x

Wondergirl1111 · 02/03/2021 10:42

@Aims1991 - oh no - mum's thinking of what SHE wants to be called by the baby! She's too young for Grandma apparently - so she wants to be called GIGI lol!!!

It's 5 months after this month for you right? Is 10 days a short luteal phase? Might be worth speaking to the doctor just to put your mind at rest and stop you stressing. My sister in law tried for 6 months and then went to the doc - everything came back fine and she concieved the next month - she thinks putting her mind at ease took away the stress and that helped. She also took impryl - really high grade supplements for fertility - might be worth looking at! www.fertilityfamily.co.uk/impryl/

Just got a really strong craving for porridge so sitting here munching on it now, wondering if its making me feel better or worse.... lol! xxx

@Wondergirl1111 started trying in December but didn't monitor Ovulation until January. I know it's not that long but I get myself into a state 🙈

KM11 · 02/03/2021 10:49

@HaresHoping so sorry to hear about your chemical, sending you lots of luck for your next cycle. Enjoy your rest and wine 😁

@Wondergirl1111 so very pleased for you 🎉 I can imagine it's a surreal feeling having something you wanted so badly and expecting to feel overjoyed all the time, my friend felt exactly the same last year. Fingers crossed the morning sickness isn't too bad for you x

@Aims1991 I had the same worry as my cycle is only 25 days long but I'm sure I ovulated at CD 10/11 this time. Fingers crossed this is your month 🤞

@MeganK93 welcome 😁 I drove myself crazy in my first cycle, overthought everything and symptom spotting like crazy. Try and stay relaxed as it does make the experience much more enjoyable. I'm cycle #2 and either 9/10 dpo. A week to go until AF is due 🙈

Wondergirl1111 · 02/03/2021 10:55

@aims1991 oh darling. I know as soon as you decide you want it, you want it so badly - it's totally normal - I felt the same!, we make the decision in our mind and so we're ready to go! But you have absolutely nothing to worry about. It's only been one full month trying actually tracking your ovulation! You could be on your way to getting pregnant as we speak! Yes it's annoying - you're doing everything right so why are you being made to wait!? But it doesn't mean there is anything wrong, not in the slightest.

I know it's way easier said than done, but 've had a couple of moments where I've been freaking out (about my job for example) - and realised that actually, I need to put myself first now - and really take steps towards looking after my stress and emotions - meditate, do yoga, get rest - it sounds like fluff but it's actually moving ourselves out of the sympathetic nervous system - fight/flight - stress mode , and into your parasympathetic nervous system - rest and digest mode - which is a much better place to create anything from, including a baby. If going to the docs will put your mind at ease so you can relax - go for it! Whatever you need to do to not get yourself into a state. It will happen for you darling. Your baby is just waiting for the perfect moment. xx

Hi Can I join this group too , we just started trying in Feb 2021. We are trying home insemination

MeganK93 · 02/03/2021 12:22

@KM11 thank you! It’s so difficult! Trying to stay busy with working at home!

@Wondergirl1111 I’d read the thread and I was so happy when you got your BFP!
Must be so exciting.

I’ve literally been feeling symptoms and being like “oh could it be...” I’ve never noticed most these symptoms before!

So I came off the pill in jan, had my period/withdrawal bleed in jan which was like 3/4 days. Had the most painful period in February (usually come on around 10th/11th)
Never had a period so crampy before! (I’ve been on the pill for years!) started using the clear blue 2 day opk kit just to see if I’d ovulate and got a smiley face 22nd & 23rd Feb.

Hopefully ovulated 🤞🏻 (I didn’t think I’d ovulate as read it can take a couple of months after coming off the pill - anyone know if that’s true? )

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s journey and getting our BFP’s!

Mrsbomb · 02/03/2021 14:24

So this is my story. My husband is American and in the Air Force and I’m from England but we live in Germany right now (Military life) We started trying last May. Then a month later my husband suddenly got deployed for 7 months so that stopped everything. He just got back this January and we’ve started again. I actually just got my period today so I’m definitely out this month. So we’ve only been trying for around 3 months in total but it feels like it’s never going to happen and everywhere I look people are getting pregnant. I’m 31 and have been using ovulation tests so I know I definitely do ovulate every month.

I apologise I did read bits and pieces but I haven’t read the whole thread. How long have you all been trying ?

KM11 · 02/03/2021 15:26

@Mrsbomb I was born in a military base in Germany and grew up there, I understand the life!! Must be so hard ttc when your DH gets deployed. Must make the time you've been trying feel like longer. At least your prepared, using opks so you know your ready, I guess it's just a case of waiting. Which is easier said than done 🙈 I thought I was being really chilled in this tww but got a week to go and I'm getting really impatient. Had no symptoms at all and would start getting AF symptoms in the next few days so not feeling overly confident x

KM11 · 02/03/2021 15:27

@annmaria11487 hey, I'm pretty new to this ttc, what's home insemination? Wishing you lots of luck x

Mrsbomb · 02/03/2021 15:29

How long have you been trying? I symptom spot like crazy which I definitely need to stop doing as it’s not healthy. The 2ww is the absolute worst isn’t it

Mrsbomb · 02/03/2021 15:32

@KM11

KM11 · 02/03/2021 15:44

@Mrsbomb I came off the pill in early November and started taking vit d and folic acid. Used protection until 1st Jan then started trying so this is tech cycle #3 but the first one didn't really count as had no clue what was going on. Unfortunately my periods were really irregular, started off with withdrawal bleed, then 33 day cycle, 16, 22, then last one was 25 days so a bit all over the place!! Not used opks or anything yet as wanted to give my body a chance to get back to a regular cycle but didn't see the harm in trying at the same time, it's been guess work really 😂 if no BFP this time gonna start with opks. I wish I had some symptoms to spot, but I guess everyone is different? Trying to keep busy but I'm Furloughed and lockdown really doesn't help. I'm 35 so need to get a move on (although I really don't feel it!!).

Where are you upto in your cycle?

Mrsbomb · 02/03/2021 15:52

@KM11 So we’re probably on cycle 3 too if you count the one month we tried before he deployed. I just got my period today. My cycle is usually pretty regular I am normally about every 30 days. The Flo app said I was due tomorrow so pretty accurate. I actually think it’s too early to get symptoms in the 2ww and you can almost put symptoms in your head if you overthink it. I’m trying to be relaxed about it all bc stressing over it is not going to help. I actually have some Preseed lube but it’s clearly not worked haha

KM11 · 02/03/2021 16:18

@Mrsbomb my friend who is also ttc has just ordered that, I may have to try it. Its annoying when your doing everything right but it doesn't happen. It's all about the timing, wouldn't it be great if the egg rang a little bell once released and you knew when your window was 😂 it's such a long time to wait in between cycles, hate wishing time away but feel like it's all I do. I've been reading up on implantation and it says 6-12 days after ovulation and around 9 days after conception so would be a little early for any symptoms yet. Just annoying they are so similar to AF!!

Enjoy your 'time off' 😁

Mrsbomb · 02/03/2021 16:24

@KM11 we used preseed a few times this past cycle and I’m not pregnant so I wouldn’t recommend it. And yes days 7-12 are typical implantation days. We just have to remind ourself it can take upto a year to conceive naturally. Our time will come I’m sure

StressyLady · 06/03/2021 14:56

Hi Everyone!

I'm on CD40 - 2nd cycle for TTC1. I took a test this morning and BFN! Been battling waves of sadness and trying to remind myself that this can take time, and to enjoy the non-pregnant and baby-free time while I have it.

I bit the bullet and ordered an OPK and thermometer this morning. We did well this cycle DTD every other day but I'm hoping having something to track will give me some assurance.

To everyone who is sticking with it - good luck and keep going!

Mrsbomb · 06/03/2021 15:34

@StressyLady 40? You must have a long cycle. We’re now going onto month 3 of trying. Started in January. Good luck
