Hi girls - looking for a little crew to share the ttc journey with - we are newbies this year - decided on Jan 31st to start trying after 12 years together! but had literally just missed my ovulation day for that cycle, so even though we had some fun over NY we are properly starting next cycle around the end of the month - just have to wait to finish this cycle now, and I've never wanted a period to come so quickly haha!

So - any cycle sisters out there who will be trying with me on or around end of Jan? I'm Cd21 right now.

And feel free to share stories and ages!

I'm 34 and have been off the pill for about 2 years now - we don't really use protection just pull out lol and never had a scare so I'm a little worried we could have a bit of a long journey. Although my mum conceived me first time trying so I'm praying it's in the genetics lol!

Not sure about you but I'm already getting obsessed which seems to be pretty normal lol but it would be good to have some pals to talk to rather than my cat or my husband, who I think I could quite quickly freak out if he knew just how many mum'snet threads I've read!

Also... What are you most looking forward to being pregnant?
Xx

Thank you @KM11!! Good luck with this cycle!!

I’m ok, thanks for asking :) didn’t have a huge amount of symptoms. Had a few stabbing pains low in my belly around then 6dpo mark which I’m assuming was implantation. Other than that I just had one very very sore boob 😂 i totally didn’t think I was pregnant because it was only one, was even doom scrolling one sided pain. After a day or so of that, the other started to hurt too and I had very sensitive and puffy nipples (tmi sorry!) and dark areola at 8dpo which prompted me to test! I’m not actually convinced I ov when my NC app says I though, I think it was earlier so I think 8 dpo was probably more or like 11/12, hence the positives! Got a really strong BFP today, darker than control line and 2-3 weeks on clearblue yesterday so I think my ov was a few days earlier :) I’m feeling ok now, very sensitive boobs/nipples and on and off excruciating nipple pain 😂 but apart from that just a little tired but nothing too bad!

@sack83 that’s such a good attitude to have!! It’s so so difficult isn’t it and as soon as you mentally start TTC it’s so hard to stay relaxed. We dtd at the right time this month by absolute fluke so when’s it’s the right time it will happen 💕

ElizabethP141 · 15/02/2021 13:54

@HaresHoping thank you💕💕 and definitely covered it with the dtd! How are you getting on with the TWW?

Wondergirl1111 · 15/02/2021 14:46

Hi guys!
Thanks for the updates and thanks for asking how the girls who just got bfps are! I'm actually feeling fine! I had a few days of feeling really weird last week, I guess when I was implanting and the hormone surge - it really affected me emotionally and I didn't feel myself. I actually didn't feel as happy as I had thought and imagined I would in those first few days (I think my job news really made me panic) but i've done a lot of reading on the hormones and emotions. I am OVER THE MOON now the hormone surge has gone and I feel myself again, but I think it's important to talk about because during the tww I was literally praying and visualising getting pregnant - I wanted it so badly, so my emotional state last week was a shock to me - and it's hard as you don't have many people to talk to about it. I've done a lot of reading and it's totally normal to be very emotional, for it to take some time to sink in, and to understand how you really feel - or come back to yourself (as it feels for me - knowing how much i want this and how happy i am!). It's also normal for women to demand more proof verbally or physically that our loved ones will look after and support us in ttc and tww and when bfp comes. I think sometimes mental health isn't spoken about and you then feel bad or upset that you don't feel how you 'should' feel. So I wanted to talk about that incase anyone else experiences it.
It took a couple of days but now I feel absolutely amazing and I'm so excited, I just can't believe it and already feel love for this little bean inside my belly. I hope she decides to stick!

I really feel for those of you about to enter the tww - for me it felt as if when we were being proactive aka - when AF was there, then preparing for fertile window, measuring ov and planning dtd - it felt exciting and i felt a more in control! But the TWW was the hard part for me.

I had cramps DPO 4-8 - at first felt like light af cramps and I thought they were in my head. Then by day 8 they were like stabbing pains, then nothing! Everything disappeared and I had no other symptoms - literally no sore boobs, no sickness, nothing, and thought ah well, next month. Still had a week until my period from 9dpo - then that Tuesday I lost my job. I had a crazy emotional reaction - crying uncontrollably for hours, felt hopeless, totally catastrophising and panicking. Was almost begging my husband in tears to tell me it was going to be ok and that he could pay our mortgage. He understandably was shocked at my reaction and said a few times 'I've never seen you like this, it's worrying me'. - I just wasn't myself. Woke up on Weds 12dpo and still felt so emotional. It's as if I just knew, I just felt I had to take a test. and .... BFP! That day and the next I felt very tired physically, dizzy, my back killed me, couldn't stand for too long and had an upset stomach. Then by 14dpo, the tests were getting darker, period hadn't arrived, and I started feeling totally normal again!

So yea I feel totally normal now - I've done a few more tests to keep checking hah! And feel a lot more positive about my job too - thanks everyone for the well wishes around that. i won't get SMP but hey, life isn't in our control lol! What a journey ttc is!

Baby dust to all of you and cannot wait to symptom spot with you through your tww's!!!!! xxxx

Oh @Wondergirl1111 bless you, what a traumatic experience you've been through but I'm so pleased you're feeling yourself again. Thank you for being so open, mental health in pregnancy / TTC is not talked about openly enough at all and it's so helpful for others to know that it's not always sunshine and roses but that it gets better too. I know from my friends who have been pregnant that it can be such a mixed bag for everyone and the most important thing is that we all talk about this stuff! Thanks for sharing your symptoms in the lead up too, really useful to know. Are you getting any other symptoms now? X

Thanks @ElizabethP141 fingers crossed we DTD enough haha! Currently 4DPO and trying to keep cool. The broken boiler is helping with that 😂 currently trying to introduce some extra helpful bits into my diet like sunflower seeds and Brazil nuts etc. Every little helps! How are you feeling? X

KM11 · 17/02/2021 10:28

@Wondergirl1111 thanks for sharing. I'm so happy your feeling yourself again and feeling positive about everything. Useful early symptoms to look out for too. I really hope the other ladies and I are right behind you.
How's everyone getting on with their tww? Any early symptoms?
CD 6 for me so just making the most of the fun bit. Enjoying it more this cycle as my DH is getting excited too, asking lots of questions and it feels less one-sided 😁

Trying to be healthier this month, more water and fruit in diet, switched to decaf coffee (which is a killer 😭). Now the weather's improved I've been getting out walking more and started some yoga.

Happy Wednesday everyone 💞

Wondergirl1111 · 17/02/2021 10:53

@km11 yay for being healthier! Well done you. I think it's a really positive switch for your body but also your mind too! I started drinking more water too - and switched to decaf which I read helps.

I just remembered on 6dpo I had weird fluttering sensation in lower uterus - like a nerve twitching! might be something to look out for! but to be honest I really didn't have that many symptoms and I was googling every 5 mins '6dpo no symptoms?' lol! Just remember if you don't have symptoms it doesn't mean anything and as IMPATIENT AND EXCRUCIATING AS THE WAIT IS! 6DPO is really really early still and I know there are people out there who have early bfps, I think from my research it seems very standard for things to start happening from 11dpo. So stay positive and patient! I did some visualization meditations about implantation which helped me fill the time and feel like I was manifesting it all to happen!

How's everyone getting on in their tww? Give us a wave and let us know who's in the tww! xxxx

@Wondergirl1111 I'm in 2WW. Still super chilled 😂 I'll just see, if AF doesn't arrive il test. Otherwise I won't. It's only cycle 1. And we only DTD 3 times in fertile window, we weren't fully committed 😅 Happy if it happens by summer time 😁☀️ AF due on the 25th Feb. Glad you're feeling better 🙂

Wondergirl1111 · 17/02/2021 12:06

@sack83 I AM SO IMPRESSED BY YOUR DISCIPLINE!
It's a good way to be - positive and patient! Keep us updated for the 25th - hoping af doesn't arrive for you - if not this month then by the summer! xxxxx

sack83 · 17/02/2021 12:14

@Wondergirl1111 thanks 😁🤞 I was happy not even trying less than a month ago so I can't afford to complain if it's not immediate. I'm 34 aswell so no spring chicken 😅 I think there's a few others on the same day as me or very close. We're bound to get a positive between us 😂 Best of luck everybody! 🤰🏼👶🏼

HaresHoping · 17/02/2021 12:24

I'm in the TWW too! Currently 6DPO. Have been reading interesting stuff about resting heart rate rising when pregnant, checked my fitbit last night and mine had jumped from 61 where it's been for weeks to 65. Today it's 67. Fingers crossed it's a good sign! Have been feeling a pulling sensation too but that could just be breakfast 🤷🏻‍♀️

@sack83 I'm testing on 27th so couple days behind you! Feel nervous just thinking about it 😬 good luck to you!

sack83 · 17/02/2021 12:37

@HaresHoping that's interesting about the heart rate! Never heard that one before. Fingers crossed 🤞🙌🤰🏼 The only thing Iv noticed is bright yellow pee. Like fluorescent 😂 Maybe TMI lol but my pee is suddenly bright yellow. I Havnt changed anything, no new supplements or anything, I drink loads of water and it never usually is so I googled it and sure enough it's an early pregnancy sign. So weird how the body works isn't it 😂 Like you say it could be breakfast either 😂😂😂 what will be will be! Iv my fingers crossed for you!

ElizabethP141 · 17/02/2021 13:06

@HaresHoping in hindsight, I think that was the first sign for me! At like 5/6dpo I could really feel my heart beat in bed at night, so much so that I couldn’t sleep. Not super fast, just noticeable. I had eaten homemade pizza and had a couple of drinks that night as I really didn’t think this was our month so put it down to the fatty food/alcohol. The next day, as it had alarmed me slightly, I ate and drank like an angel, no caffeine, fatty foods etc and exactly the same thing happened again, noticeable heartbeat when I went to bed! It’s calmed down lots now but although I don’t wear a tracker I can definitely tell it’s beating faster when I obsessively feel my pulse 😂

Wondergirl1111 · 17/02/2021 13:34

@HaresHoping @ElizabethP141 OMG ME TOO. I just remembered this! I got this about 8dpo - was just chilling on the sofa all day and could feel my heart beating in my chest all day! I thought I had too much coffee - then thought it was because I was watching this scary film - i turned it off because i thought it must be freaking me out too much!
Wow.. that's so interesting!

@sack83 the pee is interesting! I was going to say maybe it's supplements but obviously not! Will be so exciting to see if these symptoms turn into anything! xx

sack83 · 17/02/2021 13:39

@HaresHoping @ElizabethP141 @Wondergirl1111 now I'm focused on the heart rate thing lol 😂 I just looked at my stats from my Apple Watch....shows my usual resting heart rate is around 60....currently measuring at 79 😂 but it's probably coz I'm thinking about it. I'll leave it on all day and night and see what testing rate averages out at 🧐🧐🧐 I Havnt worn it in the past week so I can't look over the last few days. Next cycle I'll be all over it 🤪

HaresHoping · 17/02/2021 17:48

Omg thank you @Wondergirl1111 and @ElizabethP141 this is giving me hope 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 @sack83 that's a big jump! Mine was 75 in bed this morning... I hadn't even moved but maybe it was because I was warm in bed under loads of covers?! I have everything crossed for you! What DPO are you? Also I will be monitoring my wee closely 😂

sack83 · 17/02/2021 18:16

@HaresHoping oh that seems promising! Fingers crossed for you! Mine is showing 73 resting now. I think it needs to be sort of average resting hr for the day. I'm gona try keep the watch on and then I can look at what my HR is like overnight when I'm fully at rest etc. It's probably just because I'm so unfit being off the gym so long with the lockdowns tbh 🤣🙈😫 The daily walks aren't cutting it 🙄 I'm not expecting a positive at all would be way too lucky! I'm finding all this quite interesting though so I'm going to watch it now keep myself entertained 🧐😂

sack83 · 17/02/2021 18:18

@HaresHoping I'm 6 post OV I think!

HaresHoping · 18/02/2021 18:01

@sack83 I think we're the same - I'm 7DPO! My RHR has gone up again to 69 👀 how are you getting on?!

sack83 · 18/02/2021 18:57

@HaresHoping I'm currently chilling watching Netflix and my Apple Watch is saying my HR is 82?!? 🙃🤣 during the night lastnight it varied from 60 up to 86. I'm burning up all the time 🥵 If I'm not pregnant it's something else 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ I have a lot of symptoms....dizzy spells, bad headaches etc but I so don't think I am pregnant that I'm starting to think maybe I'm just always a hot mess but don't notice! 😂😂🙈 I could be sick. Who knows. How are u getting on? Have u noticed anything else?

HaresHoping · 18/02/2021 19:20

@sack83 hahaha you are funny 😂 wow that is high! I generally feel a bit off, tired and really ditsy (like really absent minded and daft haha), bit dizzying, still having the odd really faint period cramp feeling. Also my hips ache as well as my back? Weird!

sack83 · 18/02/2021 19:36

@HaresHoping that's all sounding really positive on your end 🤞🤰🏼I havnt really had any pain at all. Only headaches. And VERY mild cramping. In fact a weird thing is.....usually I have breast pain at this time of my cycle. Really noticeable. This month...nothing at all. Iv been poking them wondering wtf. I googled that and found threads like this of women saying that was a symptom they had when they got their BFP.....LACK of tenderness where usually there is some. Equally a lot of women say the total opposite....It seems it varies a lot person to person and sadly....it all comes down to waiting 🙄🙈 I think the first day I'd even be tempted to test is 5 days before period on first response. (Would be 9/10 dpo). BUT I think I'll probably just wait it out for AF 👀

HaresHoping · 18/02/2021 20:25

@sack83 oooh that sounds really positive for you too! Eek 😬 crossing everything. It does vary so much doesn't it, so frustrating. But your symptoms do sound really positive. I'm going to try to hold out until 27th but it's going to be hard! I want to test on a Saturday though when I don't have to go to work and I can take it all in. Also AF is due on either Thursday or Friday next week so will mean I'm more likely to get a good line on the Sat (if I don't come on of course!)

sack83 · 19/02/2021 09:40

@HaresHoping My AF is due Thursday 25th too. Ur right in that it's better to wait so you get a nice solid line first go. And id much prefer to get AF than a BFN - waste of a test 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 First response tests say up to 6 days before missed period. So that's tomorrow 🙈 But I think I'm gona hold out 💪 Any one else have any news? All getting on ok? Pregnant ladies feeling good? 🤰🏼💕

KM11 · 21/02/2021 21:33

Hey ladies, how's everyone's weekend been?

CD 10 here and I'm pretty sure I've ovulated today and will do really soon as I've had pain in my left side and lots of ewcm. It's a day or two earlier than I predicted and its thrown me. Dtd Thursday night (after midnight so technically Friday), and then again this morning. Definitely gonna dtd again tomorrow on lunch (working from home coming in handy), do you think we'll be covered? Gutted didn't dtd Fri or Sat!!!

Aims1991 · 22/02/2021 10:10

@KM11 hey
I'm on CD14, I normally OV around 15 or 16 so just waiting on the smiley face🤣 fingers crossed your covered🤞🏼 I'm going to be DTD everyday this week, OH doesn't know that yet🤣🤣
