Just wondered if anyone else with long cycles has tried these? My cycles can range anywhere from 33-45 days and I've read a lot of positive things about these helping shorten cycles. I've just ordered some to try next cycle if AF ever shows up 🙄

@heybabes I can see the test line is getting darker, but the test line doesn't seem to be as dark or darker than the control line. So your tests are still negative to me. Keep testing and your positive is on the way.
Best of luck you get a BFP this month - keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Littlepoppet1 · 26/01/2021 15:20

CD11 for me today and my OPK is getting stronger! Not positive yet but a very definite second line now which is more than I have had for ages so things seem to be going in the right direction 🤞🤞

How are you getting on with yours @heybabes ?

@toastedsesame I missed your post yesterday! Tentative congrats! Have you tested again?

Fingers crossed @Littlepoppet1 !

I did another one this morning around 9am as they were getting lighter and everyone thought CD17 was positive and I got another even darker (but not quite positive?) one.

Trying to do a 4 hour hold and test in a bit again to see if any darker. So annoying!

Honestly last cycle they were all really faint and then I got a dye stealer on CD20! 😫

Ahhh how frustrating for you! So nearly there! Fingers crossed for later today! Let us know how it goes!

@heybabes, thats almost positive... if they get lighter tomorrow theymn I'd say today/tonight is your peak and maybe ovulation tomorrow. Ovulation before CD20 is my dream!! 🤩

heybabes · 26/01/2021 21:54

@kay00 @Littlepoppet1 ugh so annoying, my 4 hour hold came out almost positive again and then I did one this evening which has been the lightest result I’ve had this cycle! So who knows what is going on, I’ll just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow (when I’m predicted to get a +) and follow my temps. I’ve attached my pic for today’s OPKs!

Is this a positive? What do you guys think? Taken this morning ~10.45am.

I’ve been doing some digging and have seen stuff about soy messing up OPKs so clearly that’s what it’s done to me!

I got a 0.4 temp rise on CD17 which has stayed up for 4 days which is making me wonder if I’ve already ovulated and just missed the surge.

Yes! I would say that is positive Grin exciting!! Jump on your man Wink

Littlepoppet1 · 28/01/2021 19:49

Little update from me! I think I ovulated either yesterday or today. Cd13 today. I had a very strong OPK on Tues night (CD11) but I wouldn't say quite positive. I have my typical ov symptoms of being very bloated and gassy and lots of watery CM but not EWCM. OPKs yesterday and today have been much fainter so although Tues OPK wasnt positive it was very strong and levels obviously going down since then do maybe I just missed the peak? I'm gonna keep testing for the next week or so just to make sure as this is very early for me but if it turns out I have ovulated then the soy has worked wonders!!

Riverskye · 28/01/2021 20:21

Fingers crossed you just missed the peak @Littlepoppet1! I'm currently on CD46 and no positive OPK, so don't think I've ovulated at all. I'm going to try again next cycle Smile

Kay00 · 28/01/2021 23:45

@littlepoppet1 🤞🤞 you have ovulated! Did you time DTD well?

Im on CD7 and my 5th and last day of soy. Now its just wait and see...!

Littlepoppet1 · 29/01/2021 07:06

That's frustrating for you @Riverskye my last 2 have been 40+ days so I know the feeling. I hope AF shows soon for you then you can move on to next cycle. Did you take Soy this cycle?

@Kay00 think we've timed okay. DTD on Tue and Wed and will make sure we do today and over the weekend just in case! Fingers crossed for you this cycle! Keep us posted!

Riverskye · 29/01/2021 10:45

@Littlepoppet1 I took days 2-7 80, 80, 80, 160, 160, going to try 160, 160, 160, 200, 200 on my next cycle to see if that makes the difference. My last cycle was 60 days so maybe I'll just have a ridiculously late ovulation!

sundowners · 29/01/2021 10:46

I used Soy Isoflavones, agnus cactus and acupuncture to all help regulate my cycles last year which were completely all over the place. Together it worked and I'm 21 weeks pg. Good luck all!

Littlepoppet1 · 30/01/2021 08:45

Definitely worth trying increasing the dosage @Riverskye to see if that helps. I did 2-6, 100, 100, 150, 150, 200 this time.
I am now pretty sure I have ovulated, I think on Thursday so CD13. OPKs gone back to really faint, my CM has changed completely and no where near as much and the gassy bloated feeling I had has completely gone now and I usually feel that way around ov time. Just a case of wait and see now!

Kay00 · 30/01/2021 08:57

@sundowners thank you xx and congratulations!!

@littlepoppet1 Yey! 🥳🥳 you just need to sit and wait now 🤞🤞🤞

Im CD9 now. I took Soy CD3-7, 100, 150, 150, 200, 200. I had night sweats and tingling nips so I felt like it was doing something. Im just really hoping I ovulate within a normal time frame 🤞

heybabes · 01/02/2021 14:23

@Littlepoppet1 sounds like you were having similar issues to me! Hope you ovulated though and it was just missing the peak 😊

@sundowners amazing congratulations! Hope this happens to all of us!

@Riverskye are your cycles usually that long or is it just the impact of soy?

I still have no clue when/if I’ve ovulated due to my weird OPKs! I did read somewhere that you should disregard OPKs when taking soy as it messes them up.

Here’s my graph for reference. I posted it on a different site and some people think I ovulated on CD16 and some on CD21. My naturally worrying side of me is panicking that I actually haven’t ovulated at all!

🤦‍♀️

Riverskye · 01/02/2021 15:52

@heybabes I've always had long and unpredictable cycles so don't think the soy had much effect x

Littlepoppet1 · 01/02/2021 16:02

Hopefully you won't have too much longer to wait to find out @heybabes and you get your BFP or AF. Obviously id love a BFP but I'll also be over the moon just to have a 'normal' length cycle! Will give me hope if the soy has worked to shorten them but I'm like you and also deep down worried I haven't ovulated.

Toastedsesame · 01/02/2021 19:47

Hi guys, looks like everyone is doing ok. @heybabes looks like a good chart, I'm no expert but I would agree with FF about your ovulation around cd17-20 ?

Sadly I've just had a chemical pregnancy after my first cycle of soy did work and I did ovulate in good time and get pregnant :( so I'm back to square one.

@Moominmiss do you mind if I ask, did you take soy on the cycle after your chemical? I'm torn whether to or not. I'm cd2 today so if I'm going to, I should start today.

Moominmiss · 01/02/2021 19:59

@Toastedsesame I was so sorry to read about your loss on your other thread.

So after I miscarried in November I was in a bit of a mess and totally forgot about soy. By the time I remembered it was cd5 and I didn’t want to take it days 5-9 as I’d read it can actually delay ovulation slightly. So I didn’t end up taking it until the next cycle. And that’s when I took it cd2-6.

The amounts I did were 160, 160, 160, 200, 200.

But had I remembered I totally would have taken it on the cycle immediately after.

Toastedsesame · 01/02/2021 21:21

Thanks for that @Moominmiss. I think I'm going to take it tonight. If I don't take it and my ovulation is really late again I'll kick myself.

Kay00 · 02/02/2021 14:36

@toastedsesame i'm so sorry to hear that Sad. But it sounds like you have taken some positives; Soy did indeed help you ovulate sooner, and you are able to get pregnant. I hope you get your sticky bean in your next cycle xx

I'm CD12 and have started peeing on OPKs. Nothing much of interest yet.

What cycle days did you ovulate after taking Soy?

Littlepoppet1 · 02/02/2021 15:06

Sorry to hear that @Toastedsesame, hope you're okay.

I had strong OPKs days 12 and 13 @Kay00 accompanied by lots of watery CM but not egg white and OV pains. I never quite had a positive though unless i missed it so I'm not 100% sure.

Kay00 · 02/02/2021 15:39

@Littlepoppet1 I have a history of missing my peak OPKs Smile. I'm 9 months off the pill, but only on my 7th cycle, only confirmed ovulation 5 times through temp rises and only caught 2 x peak OPKs.

The list time I ovulated was 1st Dec, so its hard to remember whats its like to actually ovulate haha! Grin I really hope Soy helps!
