It’s a New Year TTC bitches and of course it’s time for a new bus...

2020 was a bit of a TWATFACE for us
2021...is surely EXACTLY the number of babies we are owed by now.

We’ve read up on what we need to do to get pregnant, if you haven’t, see last bus or read my hotly anticipated blog and join us.

Ah, as we didn’t have many treats lately, dh got some chocolate trifle for dessert, ( looking at left over polvorones and turron on the table .... and a chocolate roulade and profiteroles on the freezer.....), it got eaten though

@2020mission I think I was pretty blunt and said I needed to talk about my fertility concerns. Pretty sure I led with the family history of early menopause but don't think it would have made a difference if I hadn't

@2020mission when I spoke to my doctor earlier in the week I said the same basically recurrent miscarriages but that I had been trying for a year so could we look at what the next steps were. I would say definitely worth mentioning mid cycle bleeding to them though

OMG yes that's totally wrong & @Franklydear @blackcurrantqueen we can discuss this without tagging the ppl because @lucyrp & I were talking between ourselves over message the other day about a couple of ppl who were on our bus previously & wondering how they were the gay couple who's sperm donor had moved abroad do ppl remember? I don't want to tag as they stopped TTC but they were lovely & heartbroken, they had a lot of CP & sickness, there was another couple who got pregnant & are prob on the pregnancy boards. Both used artificial insemination WHICH IS NOT THAT

Artificial Insem is used a lot in surrogacy and there's a couple of ways but the most usual is that the lady uses OPKs & that the donor goes to the persons house and deposits into a cup in another room & then leaves with them (remember they told us about how they used the cup? And clit action and got the upsuck?)
So that fella is just pure on DISGUSTING

interesting after I randomly had a conversation with my mate today about surrogacy & what happens if we fail & her saying again about her being a donor for us for eggs too & I attempted to have a convo with DH about it & he totally shut me down

@Franklydear @blackcurrantqueen there was a channel 4 programme years ago about "super sperm donors" and some of them had vans they wanked in for ppl cos they were charging about £500 per pot
One guy was like "I have 18 kids, I get updated from about 10" I find THAT weird
That's not a sperm donor either

@Minster2012 why did your DH shut you down do you think? Something he just can't see himself wanting to do? It's a tricky one isn't it. Lovely that your friend would do it again for you though!

@Minster2012 yes I remember those couples. Felt so bad for the couple that lost their donor 😥

One of bfc those couples conceived on one of the early buses so are probably nearly due now! Remember she popped back on for an update ages ago and M they were about halfway through the pregnancy. Ya that's slightly depressing....girls who conceived that first bus or so are due tjis month/next month 😲

@blackcurrantqueen she said last week she was "surrogacy broody again" & I said "oh that's good we might need you again" and she said "oh I'd do it for someone else as well..." cue me going "oooos awkward" she quickly replied "don't worry you get first dibs on my womb you know that" "phew"

Her DH isn't amazingly keen for her to go again, 3 easy pregnancies for her is one thing (2 her own, then ours) 4 may be the limit, but he would support her 100% and he'd prefer us. She's now over 35 too.

It came about today cos she got bad news today so was talking to her all day and she repeated it & asked about our conversations etc
I said to DH about her repeating it & you know I would want to try make more embryos & see what's best & he just said "I can't talk about this now, I've had a shit day, I don't really want to do surrogacy again, I don't think I want another child as much as you do clearly, I just CAN'T have this conversation right now".

So that was it.
I said, well you know atm I feel like I've failed and I would at least want to see if I can make embryos ESPECIALLY as I know she would do it again. So I don't know where that leaves us but I guess until we've done this round it doesn't matter.

I kinda wish she'd not said anything.
This won't be on the blog as she reads it.

@Minster2012 yes obviously delighted for everyone who has been successful along the way but does make you feel a bit like your still here twiddling your thumbs doesn't it 😒
That's a lot of serious stuff you have on your mind today. No easy decisions there. I guess just put it aside for now and as you say concentrate on this round. At least you know where she stands and you have put it out there forvyour OH to ruminate on for a while. That 'you want it more than i do' comment is quite the kicker though. Ouch.

Oh @Katao totally, I feel absolutely the same like you guys every month even though it's not the same for me I have that horrible limbo in between each cycle like tumbleweed. I don't want to give up. But there will have to be an end point. Yeah big things today I guess. I don't know how I'd feel if she did it for someone else. But I can't be selfish. I want it more, well I do cos it's the woman who shoulders most of the emotional hurt isn't it. Especially as part of our issue is that I do most of it myself, the whole process he's very detached from & that's always part of our arguments. Covid makes that worse of course. He can't come to any appointments. Nothing. It's all me. So I feel like I shoulder it all. Urghhhhhh. I fear her DH wouldn't take that well if it were the case doing it. They are VERY together. Urgh.

Oh I'm sorry OH blanked the egg donor conversation. I imagine it's a tough subject to get heads around and perhaps he wants to only think super positive thoughts about your feb transfer, but no that doesn't change how your brain will need to process every darn thing past, present and future. I do wish sometimes I had the ability to blank and filter like my OH does. Hugs x

So OH's bday today and, amongst a few other things, gave him the butt plug! Though after he said 'butt plug' a couple of times I decided we will now refer to it as an 'anal stimulator' as far more sexy 😆
He was very awkward at first, until he established that it was for use on me and not him! But now he's v v excited to try when we have a night away from kids next week! 🍆🍑🎉🎉🎉

Morning ladies I have been reading along, currently waiting until 9am to try and change a private scan I had booked. Feels like the longest 2 hours ever ! Booked it for Wednesday but OH couldn't come so trying to change it for today as noticed there is a slot available. If can't change it for today I will be cancelling the Wednesday one and pulling my big girl pants up and waiting for my 12 week scan. I have no reason to worry other than a decline in my rhr but I have been sat on my bum all week so what do I expect! Praying it's good news if we get to go today🙏🏼

@Skip86 haha just to clarify that there's no actual crying in my tea! I'm doing dry Jan as my alcohol consumption in the run up to Christmas was absolutely ridiculous so I thought it would be a good idea both for my weight and ahead of the fertility assessment in early Feb to kick some bad habits! BTW I'm glad your butt plug is black to hide the poo stains 😂

@Minster2012 ah I feel for you, sounds like most of the OHs here are a bit emotionally stunted. Even if he's not keen on trying surrogacy again that could have been communicated in a much nicer way!

@franklydear there was a gorgeous guy at Sandhurst in my husband's intake who used to sleep with lesbian couples to help them get pregnant 😅. Everyone thought he was a right creep though.

Ah thinking of that guy made me think of Henry Cavill and now I think I need to wake OH up for morning BD!

Saturday morning rant, DH decided to put the clean washing away, fantastic, right? No! I open my work draw to get a new t-shirt this morning and found : leggings, jumpers, D's underwear, looks like he chuck everything in random drawers, I am going to have to empty it and redo it...

@Minster2012 sorry to hear about your conversation yesterday with OH but keeping everything crossed this transfer is the winner for you and you hopefully won’t need to consider other steps.

@skip that looks immense, your DH should bloody love us & yes men have the ability to blank filer & compartmentalise EVERYTHING whereas our brains just keep on whirring, like @Katao said before I rudely fell asleep I can't help think 3 steps ahead 🙄 but I should do what @blackcurrantqueen says & just focus on this one & think I won't need it.
