It’s a New Year TTC bitches and of course it’s time for a new bus...

2020 was a bit of a TWATFACE for us
2021...is surely EXACTLY the number of babies we are owed by now.

Had a bit of a twinge in my hip all morning and got stronger so dawned on me, ovulation pain! Did an opk and look at this bad boy!! Already picking names 😂 although for all my talk of going all outvthis cycle we haven't done great. Peaked too early, need to get on it!

@Juno231 I can't even comprehend looking at charts logically right now when I can't even think of the right fruit so I'm gonna go pregnant.

What I will say is why don't each of us DREAM someone else pregnant?!! That will work right?!

So I had my call. Confirmed that if I get offered a vaccine they said "refer to the royal college of gynae website as we know nothing where it will most likely say ask your doctor so basically we don't know is the answer" great. Thanks for that.

And got a timeline.
I've worked it out and the earliest likely embryo transfer if my womb gets fluffy straight away is around 5th to 12th feb.

HOWEVER. They wanted me to take the "normal dose" of estrogen for the first 2 weeks leading up to the lining scan (then transfer hopefully booked a week later) then make it higher (still not the highest dose I've had) for the last week. i.e NOT changing anything from my previous 2 transfers (& in fact my friends) ALL of which ended up with extra weeks of higher doses of estrogen and upto 2 more weeks of scans before transfer as my lining wasn't thick enough. So I suggested can't we just start on the mid dose for the first 2 weeks as I've clearly always had lining issues and that still leaves a week of time for a higher dose.

The nurse asked the nurse consultant (angel of death remember her?) behind her who said yes but it's hard as it's a balancing act of risks like DVT & maybe I have a saturation point my lining just doesn't go past? DH started kicking me & muttering that shouldn't we highlight I'm at higher risk of DVT (another random ailment I have is "sticky blood" I've had 2 thrombosis before) but they know that it's in my notes (I do wonder if it's a contributing factor to MMC though 🤷‍♀️. But surely 3 weeks of a dose is better than the 5 weeks i ended up on last time???

So anyway. We are going with the upped dose, and once again I don't know what's right.

Right off to make the 2 hour round trip to get my meds will check back in later dudes

@Minster2012 hm isn't the whole reason baby aspirin is recommended to prevent mc's is because it acts as a blood thinner? Might be worth asking whether you should take if you have sticky blood. Not gonna lie though, your clinic sounds very frustrating! Like screaming into the void lol.

@katao yes get on it! If you already have a pinching pain I imagine you're ovulating same day as your peak! I do that a lot, makes BD so much more difficult to plan - grr!

I'm your TWW buddy too @juno231 and @DJmum83, I'm 4dpo. I know how you feel I'm in that progesterone induced slump top, been so weepy and lethargic the past 2days, but because I know my body a bit more now I know its just the hormonal shift so I'm trying to be kinder to myself around this time of the month, if I dont feel like housework I do feel guilty leaving it as I know I'll pick it up when the energy levels resume.

@Minster2012 you're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place with the extra meds vs DVT! Glad they're giving you the extra meds tho as if anything it'll at least give you a bit more hope this cycle that at least something is different from the previous cycles. Really rooting for you 🤞

@Minster2012 glad you are still on track for a feb transfer at least.

@Juno231 yeah I think you might be right! 😬 OH won't be home until tonight so looking like this is going to be pretty much one shot at it because other sessions were a bit further out in fertile week. Ahhhh! I wasn't expecting ovulation rhis soon. Cycles seemed to be lengthening out a bit but now looks like I'm set for another short one. I didn't even have any ewcm until today to give me a heads up and opks have been very light🤦‍♀️

You should def not feel guilty @DKDK123 we should work with our bodies!

@Juno231 well they haven't mentioned baby aspirin, I don't know if they have really paid attention to my sticky blood or not, I was planning on mentioning it this time, but when's the best time?? I really don't know. I wanted them to give me more estrogen cos I truly think it would always be needed to get a better lining for me. So then when do we think the aspirin helps???

Does anyone else ever get really bad trapped wind/constipation? I do get it on occasions (usually when I've eaten a lot of beans/pulses) but for the last 2 days I've had a shooting pain up the behind (no, not bedroom related haha) along with really bad trapped wind mid afternoon that's required me to curl up in a ball with a hot water bottle for half an hour until it eases 😔 thankful I'm working from home right now! I'm wondering if it could be a symptom? But then never got that when I had the 2 chemicals so it's probably just my body fucking with me 😂

@Minster2012 I've read others saying they take baby aspirin from around 3 DPO but can't be sure if that's the optimal time. I've got a pack to start on as soon as/if I get another BFP because of the chemicals I've had just incase

@blackcurrantqueen I'm not sure that we even work.
@skip86 we've got till Saturday but I'm not holding my breath. Honestly I've discussed the issue with our sex life for months even before ttc. I really thought I'd made it plain and clear yesterday but doesn't look like its sunk in. I'm just so sad 😞

To add insult to injury he's the one that wanted to ttc, I thought with a 21 and 17 year old my baby making days were over

For anyone who was around for the whole "butt flap" scenario, look what my SIL got the dog for Xmas 😂 I didn't realise until I found it in his toy box!

Hey can I join? TTC DC2 (we have a 1-year-old who is still BF). My last AF was 21st Dec and I think we timed it right for ovulation but I don't have an ovulation kit this time around (found them so useful for conceiving DC1 though after 3 years of not getting a BFP). I really want 2 under 2 and this is the last month for us to do that. I'm super irregular though and I think we DTD a couple of days too early. I hate waiting to take the PG tests and right now just sitting tight and planning what we can do next month to increase our chances.

@Katao you def gotta stay positive! You e tried DTD lots of times right, now it's the time of once 😂then we'll dream you pregnant!! Yeah another £150 on drugs, & these ones you stick up your fanny then they splurge out again through the night & give you insomnia. Oh & make you (more of) a bitch. Great right?!

@Wondergirl1111 yes so in theory a couple of Brazil nuts a day for a week or so after OV can help (I've got those in 🤞🏻) but not too many as you can OD on selenium, and also what I was mixing up earlier is you can eat a whole pineapple, core and all over a few days too after OV, I don't mind doing things like that as hey what's the harm 🤷‍♀️if you are come to the end of FW then perfect timing! So have you done OPKS or anything? have you found a TWW buddy & been trying long? We are a weird bunch & hope you get a short ride on the bus! We do like to kick ppl off just some of us can't seem to leave 🤪
