Quick Q ladies and apologies is this is TMI...

How long should EWCM last post-ovulation?

Got a positive OPK on CD13. Pretty sure I OV on CD14 (light cramps).. LH high but not peak (dropped). CD15 today and OPK negative (low LH). So I'm pretty confident of OV on CD14 but the EWCM is still sticking around?!

No idea what's normal on this front 😬😖

SophieMorton · 05/01/2021 16:22

@Annabelle0852 I sometimes still detect EWCM a day or so after OV but then it completely goes. I think it differs from person to person but usually ‘drys’ up after OV but mine usually takes a day 👍🏼

MgW1 · 05/01/2021 16:41

@MamaPheebz
Hey how are you doing ? Have you had 2 early miscarriages ? I cant keep up with everyones stories xx

Leonberger · 05/01/2021 17:06

@SophieMorton as far as I know I usually OV around CD15-16 and then have a 32 day cycle so a bit long but nothing too drastic.

At first I thought we just missed the days but we’ve timed it perfectly for the past few cycles and still nothing Hmm all of that wasted time Grin

I did have a chemical pregnancy at one point but since then everything’s been normal!

MamaPheebz · 05/01/2021 17:22

@MgW1 i had a MMC at 10 weeks and a loss at 5 weeks. It is really hard to keep up with everyone’s story isn’t it.

I’ve had lots of niggly pains but I know they aren’t alarming but it is hard to not worry. Testing again in the morning after a couple of days without so hopefully even darker. I’ll be 13dpo tomorrow. I feel guilty keeping posting about it in here but right now it is hard to to be excited and I’m really appreciating the support and people asking how I’m getting on so thank you so much. X

SophieMorton · 05/01/2021 17:29

@MgW1 keep posting and don’t feel guilty. Some people are just starting TTC and some are further down the path. BUT we’ve one thing in common, we’re all still trying! It’s good to vent and share stories. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 For you x

SophieMorton · 05/01/2021 17:30

Sorry @MamaPheebz wrong tag 🙈

SadieSazzle · 05/01/2021 17:31

@MamaPheebz You shouldn't feel guilty posting! It's so encouraging to hear TTC stories that have a happy ending....although its a happy beginning to your next story! 😊
It helps keep our hope alive!

MamaPheebz · 05/01/2021 17:52

@SophieMorton @SadieSazzle

Thanks ladies. This is such a fab girl gang! Xx

MgW1 · 05/01/2021 18:18

@MamaPheebz i had MMc at 14 weeks and early once last month at 5 weeks so similar to you xx
Not really tried over xmas done it twice in my fertile week , too busy over eating and drinking but bought some early test so il use one at the weekend or may just wait til af is due , il find it hard not to torture myself 🤣🤣 xx

MamaPheebz · 05/01/2021 19:03

@MgW1 i’ll have my fingers crossed for you. I have peed on so many sticks this month. I’ve just caved and done one tonight and pleased I did as the line progression is looking good. I just wish I wasn’t getting these niggly pains.
I’m so sorry you’ve had two losses. It’s a kind of heartbreak noone understands until you have been through it yourself.
Having 2 losses doesn’t put us at a high risk of having another though so let’s hope we were just really unlucky. Xx

Iloveoreos · 05/01/2021 19:08

Evening ladies. Ive been on this forum since Sept time. New to this thread though. Had a chemical in Oct .

Im 4dpo today. But ive got an annoying pain on my left side sinxe yesterday. Its definately not ovulation pain as opk has become faint
. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would say about 5 for pain. But its constant nagging pain since yesterday. And Im getting worried.
Anyone else have similar who are around my days or felt something like this ? I dont think I had it in the cycle I had chemical.

MgW1 · 05/01/2021 19:33

@MamaPheebz
Fingers crossed. Last month when I had the chemical , i had been taking evening primrose oil and ovulated late. Then when i had the mc , i was positive there were some left over products from the last one ( sorry tmi) but i have had such heavy periods and cramps throughout the month between the 2 mc's. Anyway , since the miscarriage , no cramps. Just a few niggles post ovulation and had a few today so I think thats a good sign. Not taken evening primrose oil either. So will see what happens , I hope all goes well with you and 3rd time lucky. Have you been ttc your 1st? Xx

MiniBaker · 05/01/2021 19:55

@JeanieJ

I know I’m a bit gutted that I can’t go to acupuncture this month. The Dr called today and said we’ll have to postpone it until lockdown is eased..

Yeah that will be great that you can have some more time at home together. Me and my OH have worked from home since March last year so we spend loads of time together 😂 only thing is he works nights sometimes and so we have completely different bedtimes when he is on those so sometimes we do it in the morning which is his bedtime.

I’m going to take a month off TTC this month I think and start again in Feb. After 9 months of solid tracking and trying everything I’m just at the point where I need a bit of a break from it. Good luck Everyone 🤞 xx

MamaPheebz · 05/01/2021 21:58

@MgW1 i cannot believe how similar our stories are! My chemical loss was the same. I ovulated really late. That was in October. My cycles since then have been really heavy and with lots of clots. I think there has been something leftover or maybe my lining just wasn’t able to accept implantation properly due to the trauma it went through. Who knows but there has to be a reason why we both had chemicals following a MMC.
This cycle I actually ovulated on CD 12/13 so much more “normal”.
I’m trying to conceive my 2nd. With my first I conceived first month no problems so wasn’t expecting all this heartache. Are you TTC your first? X

MgW1 · 05/01/2021 22:41

@MamaPheebz
3rd for me! It was always our plan to have another when my youngest started school. And I didnt expect all the heartache either. After 1st miscarriage I had cramps more or less throughout the month. With the chemical i had like menstural cramps from ovulation , all day every day. Now things feel a lot more calmer so fingers crossed xxx

FluffyLittleDragon · 06/01/2021 05:30

Since lockdown part 3 has been introduced, I've been feeling blue & yesterday was a struggle 😔. How is everyone else feeling?

My DH is convinced I won't be PG anytime soon because my contraceptive implant was removed last month & my body probably is trying to rediscover a rhythm 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️. It's logical thinking & a way not get high hopes in case it follows disappointment 😕. Me on the other hand, I can't help but have a bit of hope & I'd like to think I know my body to an extent 🧐. To give myself a piece of mind, I'll POAS at the end of the month if AF doesn't visit. If it's BFN then we'll continue to BD, hope for a BFP & enjoy the ride👍🏽. If AF hasn't visited me in 6 months then I'll jump on the OPK band wagon 🤠.

IndigoJam · 06/01/2021 07:06

After 6 days of flashing smiles I finally got my static. Yay. Was worried about my body for a while there.

Due my period on the 19th so another tww. Hows everyone else getting on?

Off topic but @Leonberger do you have a leonberger? Its the first time I've seen a leonberger themed username. Got me excited haha.

Annabelle0852 · 06/01/2021 08:09

I'm only on 2dpo and it already feels like a lifetime 🤯 please someone tell me the waiting gets easier as you go along 😂

Was hoping to DTD last night (1dpo) just to make sure but OH wasn't feeling it (must have worn him out!!). We BD the two days before and then on OV so missing one day after I'm sure won't matter but there's a small part of me that thinks because we didn't use every opportunity its sure to be a "no" this month. Spot the perfectionist everyone!

Wishing everyone baby dust and a quick TWW!

IndigoJam · 06/01/2021 08:12

@Annabelle0852 I think lockdown and having nothing to distract you makes the tww harder than it should be.

Leonberger · 06/01/2021 08:16

@IndigoJam yes we have!
Do you also have one or do you just love them?
DH jokes that if I don’t get pregnant we are going to end up with more and more Leo’s by the end of the year Grin

Still no AF but 100% on its way. Wish it would hurry up so I can start again, the curse of a 32d cycle Blush

RAA852021 · 06/01/2021 08:25

Hi Everyone! I'm new and in the TWW with AF due on Jan17/18.

I'm obsessing a bit too much this morning so please excuse me for having a moan. We haven't told people that we're trying TTC and we're quite isolated at the moment so reading your comments has been really encouraging. Here is my little moan/question..

I am 35 and so is my husband. He's always been a bit more relaxed about having children and whilst he wants one, he is also ok if it doesn't happen for us. I on the other hand will be quite heartbroken if we can't manage it.

We have been TTC since October. We have quite stressful jobs and at the moment needing to care for elderly parents. Because of the virus sometimes we need to go stay in quarantine separately to avoid any risk to older parents on the weeks we are each caring for them or working.

I'm learning a lot about my cycle with AF quite regular. We BD'd on day 8,10,11,12. I used OPK for the first time and I think I got my dates slightly wrong as my surge started on CD 12. We started back at work after the holidays which was stressful. DH wasn't in the mood to BD again on CD13 which is when I think I actually ovulated. We're in TTC cycle #1 so it's still "early days" but since we are apart quite often for care duties and i'm 35 and I just feel like a big clock is ticking..

So my question..
How you guys manage to stay "relaxed" is that even possible? BD to a schedule seems quite tough to me. Just wondering if you guys have any tips :)

Thanks for being such a supportive group!

Tara1711 · 06/01/2021 08:51

Morning ladies! I’m feeling strange this morning, infacf I feel like AF is on her way but I’m not due on until the 17th. My boobs have gone from tender to painful which is always a pms sign for me (although not usually quite this painful) and I’m having intermittent cramping!

Not sure what’s going on this month! Has anyone else had a strange cycle after a chemical?

Rmd123 · 06/01/2021 08:53

@Tara1711 I'm not due til the 18th and woke up with slight twinges in my lower abdomen, similar to ovulation but not as strong as a period cramp. Went to the toilet and wiped to find (TMI) red/brown watery discharge. I've put a pantry liner on and haven't seen any since. I'm only 3/4 DPO so don't know what it is? Came off pill on 17th December but was only on it 4 months so unless it's something to do with that.

Tara1711 · 06/01/2021 09:06

@Rmd123 it could be implantation? Have you had a withdrawal bleed since coming off the pill?
