@Tara1711 oh that's interesting that we've both been trying for a similar amount of time too 🙂 I've tried telling him I don't think it would reduce his count by much but he keeps thinking it will reduce his sperm by 50% 🙈

Tara1711 · 11/01/2021 09:56

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking it really is! When I first starting tracking i had seen about an opening but could never feel it, it was only after tracking for a little while that I could actually feel if it was open or closed

@Dogmum13 yes that is! Yes I definitely don't think that's the case! Get him to do some research, maybe if he reads it it will put his mind as ease!

Dogmum13 · 11/01/2021 10:10

@Tara1711 when he had his op a dr told him he might have issues and they tested his sperm to make sure. He was about 70% then but that was about 11-12 years ago. He's still only 30 though so I don't think there's too much to worry about. I'm more concerned about my body tbh. I've suspected endo and doubt I'll get seen anytime soon as the NHS suitability is getting worse by the day. I feel so sorry for all the drs and nurses atm 😔

MgW1 · 11/01/2021 10:41

@Dogmum13
I dont think that will matter , id ring doc and see what they say, i know everyone is different and some people might feel anxious in case their is a prob but if there is its best to find out sooner. If i have another mc then I will be asking for a referral to see someone, mind you my clock is ticking at 37! Xx

Dogmum13 · 11/01/2021 10:49

@MgW1 yes we started early as we had a feeling there may be issues of some kind. Yes I think we both just need to know either way and then hopefully we can relax a bit 🤞🤞I'm 28 so age shouldn't be an issue I just worry that if I do have endo that may be the issue. My friend is 42 and just had a baby after thinking she had missed her chance 🙂 we all need hope xx

Emc16x · 11/01/2021 11:40

@MamaPheebz I’m just logging on to see how your progress is going. Amazing seeing those two lines. Very happy for you. It gives me hope!

MamaPheebz · 11/01/2021 11:48

Thanks @Emc16x. I hope you are ok :)

I’m doing ok so far. Got 2-3 weeks on a digital test at the weekend which is right as I am 4-5 weeks. Just going to try and relax and trust my body now. I’ll book an private scan if I make it to 8 weeks. Xx

Emc16x · 11/01/2021 12:12

I’m over the moon for you.

Did you opk test that cycle? Any tips?! Haha I’m going to try this one more time before the hospital appointment! Xxx

Dogmum13 · 11/01/2021 12:44

Af definitely here for me 👎 hopefully cycle 15 will be our cycle 🤞🤞

SophieMorton · 11/01/2021 12:49

@Dogmum13 ah so sorry she is here 😭, still had fingers crossed for you!

MgW1 · 11/01/2021 13:15

Anyone use easy@home tests ? Are they bad for evap lines ? X

Dogmum13 · 11/01/2021 13:18

@MgW1 I use them, only had one evap but I did look at it after the time. I use the opk ones too and get my peak every month

RHODXB · 11/01/2021 14:26

I've been offered the Pfizer vaccine through work.... anyone planning to avoid it if offered due to TTC? Am I over thinking it?

RHODXB · 11/01/2021 14:27

@Dogmum13 so sorry to hear 😞

MamaPheebz · 11/01/2021 14:37

@Emc16x i used opks. We dtd a few days before ovulation and the day of ovulation and that’s it really. We’ve been taking Pregnacare conception his and hers for a few months now. Not sure if that helped or not. X

hiya

I am due to get it on Saturday.
I had a LOT of conflict as well, but looking at the way in which the Pfizer one works it feels quite safe (as safe as can be predicted). There is no guarantee how you will respond to covid should you get it so from my perspective its better safe than sorry.

Its such an individual choice though, so you can only do what's right for you! If I was pregnant already it might be different, but as i am TTC and not actually pregnant i figured I would go for it

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 11/01/2021 14:42

FINALLY got a positive OPK 🤗 I'm bloody thrilled as didn't think I was going to ov this month as had v.early mc/CP last month but it looks like I might! 🤞🤞 We've already dtd 6 times in the last 10 days as I expected ovulation 5 days ago but looks like we need to keep going a few more days! 🥵😴🤣

@RHODXB I'm really not sure on the vaccine front. Probably not as we're full steam ahead on ttc and I'm wfh 100% as is hubby so risk is low. If I was working at a hospital or around lots of people then I might put ttc on hold for 2 months when having it. I mean, who knows. I'm sure it's probably safe, just like flu vaccine. I had flu 3 times in 6 weeks when pregnant with my ds due to the weakened immune system, and it was god awful!...so perhaps vaccine not a bad option 🤷‍♀️

Purplepoppet92 I'm in the same boat and I've been chatting to some female docs who are feeling the same way as me. Covid is really kicking off again though, so I'm thinking if AF unfortunately arrives on 21st then I'll have to have it. Im high risk on the front line :(

RHODXB · 11/01/2021 14:55

I'm so conflicted as so much differing advice. I
Work in a setting with children so exposed daily. I am low risk as is my household. I read it can affect placenta function but not sure how accurate as keep reading different things

MgW1 · 11/01/2021 15:32

@RHODXB
I want the jab and if I was younger Id definately take a break from ttc to have it xx

Tara1711 · 11/01/2021 16:20

I'm really trying not to symptom spot however what I'm feeling it's hard to ignore, sore boobs and nipples, itchy nipples, intermittent cramps, lower back ache but only really notice is when I'm in bed going to sleep and for the last two days nausea.

I had a chemical last month and had some of the same symptoms so I'm really hoping for something positive this month!

Trying to refrain from testing and staying relaxed!

Sar1010 · 11/01/2021 18:28

Hey @Tara1711 Im having very similar symptoms too. I’m 8dpo CD 21... Sore side boobs that feel bruised and I did feel nauseous but my OH just said he feels a bit sick too so I don’t think that’s related. I keep waking up early in the morning for a wee which never ever happens not even in all the (8th cycle) months of ttc.

Trying so hard to stay realistic and distract myself!!! Out of all the months this has been the most symptom full!
But again the symptoms do come and go. Like right now I feel pretty “normal”.
Cervix is super high 🤷🏼‍♀️ Don’t think that means much. Will you wait toil AF due day to test?
We did SMEP this time and my partner wants us to wait til 18th to test.

Tara1711 · 11/01/2021 19:51

@Sar1010 I'm not sure what DPO I am but cd 25, I'm going to try and wait until Sunday to test!

That's definitely a good sign if your cervix is super high!!

MgW1 · 11/01/2021 20:47

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking
@MamaPheebz
There is an incredibly faint line on these tests today I have done 3 but negative frer so what do you think to that ?! Im baffled , would you get 3 evap lines on the trot? Xx
