It’s that time again, the 6th post-pill thread of ladies who are experiencing the highs and lows (mainly the lows…) of coming off the pill and TTC! Here you’ll find stories of delayed ovulation, crazy long follicular phases, crazy short follicular phases, light AFs, short luteal phases, long luteal phases, confusing temp charts and blindingly white OPKs, to name a few.

@FlyingGiraffe not really my ovulation was a couple of days later than normally but probably not down to the pills, they are the only folic acid pills that don’t make me feel sick! I’d recommend them, they’re cheap to pick up and seem to have everything you need. They come in a pack like the contraceptive pill so easy to remember to take

CD4 for me and still been bleeding, and it tapers off in the evening so maybe tomorrow it will come to an end. I have to say its been medium flow which is great and very fresh looking blood so I’m happy that it’s looking better then the last few cycles which have been light and mainly darker not fresh coloured. I’m hoping this means I will start being regular and better cycles and hopefully ovulate at a decent time 😂 fingers crossed....

@ChinChilly whaaaat! I just bought pregnacare for £8! Definitely swapping after this month!!
@FlyingGiraffe I’ve only been for one run so far- I’m aiming to do 3 a week! It better get easier is all I’m saying

@Sperr yeah the seven seas are much cheaper, not sure how they compare though!

@FlyingGiraffe @Sperr I’ve done 17k steps today but I’m just about to order a dessert...I blame AF😂

@ChinChilly I might have to give them a go. I'll see how this month goes first I think to see if I ovulate the same time as December - tempted to give SMEP a go again..it doesn't seem quite as crazy when the possibility of ovulation is day 13 like it was last month! 17k steps today definitely earns dessert by the way!

@Moocher90 your cycles seem so similar to how mine were the first 5 cycles or so after the pill. Mine definitely seem to be settling now with a proper AF, earlier ovulation and longer lp - hopefully yours will be the same!

@Sperr 3 times a week is a good aim. I think I need to aim to do 10 minutes of exercise a day. I've been so lazy lately!

My spin bike arrived today. Part made up but there’s a few bits I want DH to check over! Means no excuse not to exercise now 😂

@sperr ha I'm doing dry Jan partly cause I think I'll get told off for my drinking when I go to my fertility appointment but also to help with the weight loss. The dry Jan app calculates the amount of calories you save by not drinking and it's shocking 😂. Done 11k steps today and started a squat challenge.

@ChinChilly ah I'm trying seven seas for the first time - they literally arrived in the post yday. Only ordered them for shits and giggles after several of the ladies on the other bus got their BFPs same month as taking seven seas. They are all raving about it being a miracle pill on that thread lol.

@FlyingGiraffe no problem! Do you find your period is a bit funny off the pill?

@Sperr I had a huge waffle smoothered in nutella, crushed hazlenuts and ferror rocher ice cream...feel quite sick now though 😂

@FlyingGiraffe yeah anything’s worth a go at this point for me 😂 I’ve done SMEP once OH was well up for it, me on the other hand 😂

@Moocher90 jealous of the spin bike, i used to have a cross trainer it was great because i used to stick something the telly i liked and i was off for a good 40 mins...lost so much weight!

@Juno231 well i started taking them part way through my cycle so I can’t really say for sure they didn’t work, I’m stocked up with 3 packs now though so we’ll see

AF definitely arrived in full swing today, this cycle seems like my last and what i remeber my pre pill cycles to be like...quite heavy and really clotty (TMI sorry) for the first 2 days and then lighter for 2-3 so I’m hoping my body is getting back into some kind of normality 🤞🏼

How is everyone else doing? I'm on CD7 (ish). Had spotting the day before my period and I always get confused when the new cycle restarts. Followed by a very light day, then another day of spotting, then medium flow. Go figure!!

What are these magic pills? Are they the Seven Seas ones in the mini tubs? I've been taking Pregnacare for about 2 months now with no issues (hopefully!!).

Have ordered the Clearblue digital OPKs and ConceivePlus lube. Not quite sure why I'm so excited about them arriving 😆 anyone else use the fertility lube? I've read that some people literally syringe it up their foofs pre-🍆🙊 TTC is a whole new world of unknowns! 😂

I've just finished cerazette after six years non stop on that one and a lot more on various other pills, and waiting for the withdrawal bleed. 33 in a few months!

Any recommendations on waiting for first AF to arrive before ttc?

Any other tips at all and especially any recommendations for good apps!

@Nellieee good to see you back, the seven seas are in a little purple box, I think they’re called trying for a baby. I’ve never used concieve plus but I think a few of the others have!

Hi @Daisychainsandsunshine welcome, I was really lucky with my first withdrawal bleed it came after about 3 weeks off the pill then I just popped into a regular cycle, but lots of the ladies on here waiting a while for a withdrawal bleed and thier cycles were all haywire which I think is pretty normal. I use premom in terms of apps and recording data, it scans any ovulation tests in and gives you a reading.

Another drop on the RHR, honestly my RHR gets more dramatic every month 😂 my thermometer should be arriving today!

Good luck!!! to those of you trying Seven Seas! I have been using them for 5+ months now, and no miracle for me.

@nellieee Sorry you'e feeling deflated. I have used pre-seed which is the same as conceive plus, but my problem is working out when my most fertile days are. So although I have used it, I have never used it during my FW haha, and yes, I had to literally syringe it up there! not very sexy

@chinchilly damn! That desert sounds like a dream! I have to admit my 'diet' has been pretty half arsed... until today. Today is the day I turn my life around - haha! This morning I have had 1 x weetabix + fruit (instead of 2 x weetabix + sugar) and I have soup (no bread) for lunch (instead of cheese and crackers). And I'm going running after work with a friend (socially distanced of course).

@juno231 I'm worried you might have been right... maybe I missed my peak. Again!! I don't know how I manage to miss it so often?? I have had a temp increase... not a high one, but we'll see where it goes over the next couple of day

@Kay00 it’s definitely soup weather today...snowing here!! I’ve got weetabix for breakfast and I’m thinking maybe roasted veg, falafel & houmous for lunch! 🤔 I’m just trying long walks at the moment, I used to do long distance running at school many moons ago, couldn’t do it now! Hoping to get the weights back out once my back is feeling abit better!

@Nellieee welcome back! I used to use pre-seed before I got my EWCM sorted with evening primrose oil. Definitely syringing before BD! Luckily you can do it up to 15 min before so just do it in the bathroom so as not to kill the mood by doing it in front of OH lol.

@Daisychainsandsunshine welcome! I'm turning 33 this month so we're pretty much the same age :) I like the femometer app to track my OPKs with as it scans them and does the interpretation of them for me. If you ever decide to track your temperature though just drop femometer and rely on Fertility Friend! For now, I'd say there's
probably not lots you can do before your withdrawal bleed - just start your folic acid, make sure to stop using non TTC lubes if you are and remember that when in doubt - do the deed!

@kay00 hm potentially, have your rises been this low in the past? At least you will have timed BD perfectly!

2DPO here today, not much to report as temp rise seems to agree with me so far. Managed to DTD last night for good luck - which I think is a first for us to do it after ovulation? Maybe that's where I've been going wrong all this time lol.

@ChinChilly oh wow! Snowing?! I'm down on the South Devon coast where it is sunny but about zero degrees ... so cold! I'll be wrapping up warm for my run tonight! Your lunch sounds delicious by the way! Mmm!

@Juno231 my temp rises are never very high but are usually at 36.3 on day after ovulation, so this might just be a false alarm.

Sorry for being awol I’ve still been reading just mega stressed
I’m 7DPO I think, nothing major going on a bit of cramping but could just be AF getting ready for it’s first appearance in over 100 days 😂

The announcement has meant I’m now worried about going back on furlough and I’ve got a decision to make on whether to cancel our wedding (May) or try and hold out. Either way I’m probably going to lose a ton of money 🤦🏻‍♀️ Or not get the wedding we planned

Kinda just hoping I get a BFP and can fuck the wedding off at this point

@Robyn101 Sorry to hear your stressed, it's such an awful time. Will you be able to get any money back from the venue or suppliers if you move it? My friend had to move hers from May last year, to September and they are now doing a much smaller thing in August this year as she was fed up of moving it.

@ChinChilly We've got snow too! Our 5 month old puppy was not impressed when I let her out for a wee this morning! So we've both come back upstairs and I'm currently 'working' from my laptop in bed 😂 Will try and go for a walk later when it's supposed to be sunny!

@Robyn101 fingers crossed this is it for you! I might be an outlier but I totally wish I could redo my wedding and not have a big 120 guests affair. In hindsight I think I'd have preferred something small. I've taken notes for wedding #2 when this husband needs upgrading lol!

@Kay00 It was snowing in the West midlands this morning, coming down really heavy at one point seems to have stopped now.

@MissC07 my pup loves the snow, but I have to have admit I have spent a few days ‘working’ from bed snuggled up with him!

Highly unlikely I get a BFP I think just crazy stressed which I can’t imagine is a good process for my body at the best of times. And my temps seem to be haywire dropping below cover line and stuff too (attached)

@Missc07 we looked over the contracts yesterday and it’s probably going to be a fight to get our money back unfortunately, I have wedding insurance but again that doesn’t really cover government restrictions. I’m going to drop the venue and insurance an email today to try and get some clarity. This was already the 3rd date we’ve had because of all of this sh*t

@Juno231 I would love to have a smaller wedding - just not at the cost of the bigger wedding we planned seems a bit of a liberty 😂

@ChinChilly my RHR is being kind to me this time and has dropped a little today so I know AF is coming in the next couple of days. It’s actually weirdly low but I don’t know if that’s because Apple is different to Fitbit again!

@Robyn101 I feel you! We cancelled our wedding last June and rebooked got June but we have already decided to move it again a year- I’m too scared to ask the venue and really hoping my OH will do it 😂. They were really nice about it before so I think they will be fine with it. My worst person to deal with was my hen do accommodation. I will feel so bad if everyone loses their money for the accommodation. It was only about £200 so it could be worse.
