@bez91 I will try, by the time I fell pregnant last time I would only test the day my period was due and that was it so most months I wouldn't even test because my period was here. Just finding this month a super tough one.

Haha....guys are funny aren't they with the random thoughts they have, do they know how long we spend googling this stuff lol xx

bez91 · 15/01/2021 08:04

@elsimo I get that, it is hard especially when you've had losses or been trying a long time. It just makes the process all the more terrifying and anxious. DH says I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself and he's probably not wrong, I used probably a terribly analogy of TTC after losses as like a gambling addiction, the more I've lost and the more pain I've been through the more I seem to be 'chasing' 🤷‍♀️
No they obviously don't know about all the Googling 🙈 we've done every pregnancy test together. He can piss off this time 😂

elsimo · 15/01/2021 08:36

@bez91 We are in a very similar position I think aren't we, u have a little one aswell?

I put loads of pressure on myself, particulary because of my age, i'm 36.

Thats so right, it is addictive and so frustrating as you have no control over it.
We are still considering IVF but have to give it some time now to see if I can fall myself again.

Haha! That will teach him lol xx

NatNoo96 · 15/01/2021 08:49

Sorry I didn’t look on here yesterday but wanted to say congratulations @RS2609 !!

RS2609 · 15/01/2021 09:10

@bez91 @NatNoo96 thanks so much 😊

PumpkinEverything · 15/01/2021 09:33

That’s very funny @bez91 at how you’ve described it 😂 in a weird way, I also understand his logic haha. But also it def wouldn’t work because then you’d be going around thinking you’re pregnant and restricting yourself, or doing the opposite and potentially doing harm 🙈 I tested at 11DPO and got my BFP last time, but not sure what I’ll do for my next cycle, I think I’d like to try and hold off as well. Not sure when that will be though as I’ve no idea where I am right now 🤦‍♀️😂

bez91 · 15/01/2021 09:36

@elsimo, yes it sounds like we are. One DD she's 3, how old is yours? Have you spoke to your GP about problems and considering IVF? Sorry I get everyone's journeys mixed up so unsure where you're at!
@PumpkinEverything this is it, he thinks he's helping but what a idiotic man thing to say 🙈 weren't you doing OPKs? Did they indicate where you might be?

PumpkinEverything · 15/01/2021 09:49

Have been doing them most days @bez91 but all seems unclear 🤦‍♀️ So either I got my peak two weeks after surgery, and the really light bleeding/spotting I had for 8/9 days last week was my period and I’m now in a new cycle. Or that ‘peak’ was just my hormones being a mess and I haven’t actually had it yet and the bleeding was just my body messing about and trying to settle! I got a ‘high’ of 0.8 last weekend and my Premom app is trying to mark that as a peak, when I don’t think it’s high enough, and annoyingly I didn’t test the days before thinking it was AF, so I don’t know if it was higher than that and it dropped down and so was my peak. Just going to keep testing until either a definite AF turns up or I see something that looks more like a peak. Just wish it was easier to figure out!

bez91 · 15/01/2021 10:08

@PumpkinEverything how bloody frustrating, I'd be doing same just keep testing. It may well have been AF, so many people say they had light periods after a MC. Mine was the complete opposite however🤷‍♀️
I read something interesting about resting heart rate before ov and conception on another thread which I then googled which I never knew about if you have an activity tracker it's quite interesting. I looked back on mine in the months I conceived and it correlated exactly - strange!

PumpkinEverything · 15/01/2021 10:17

Its driving me crazy @bez91 🙈 if it was AF that would be great as it means it arrived at 27 days, which is almost a normal cycle (and I never had that since stopping the pill). The bleeding was just so weird tho, like super light. I marked it as AF in my apps anyway until I know better 😂
I read that too actually! And funny, I looked back and noticed that my RHR had increased. I have an Apple Watch and just used the Health app to look back, but I’d like a better app to see the detail better.

elsimo · 15/01/2021 10:53

@bez91 yip the same, one DD aged 3.

Yeah we have had all the tests and everything fine, we were just about to join the IVF private waiting list when I fell pregnant with twins!! That took us 18months to fall with them tho.

Now I am not so sure about IVF, we will be paying for it ourselves and given I have had 2/3 of pregnancies end in mc and the success rates of getting pregnant in the first place with IVF are low i'm just unsure! Xx

M4v3r1ck · 15/01/2021 11:14

@RS2609 amazing news!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍

@TheDaydreamBelievers excellent! Relief to know you can move on now! 😃😃😃

@ELMcg @NatJ24 and others, I think I spoke too soon! I'm sitting waiting for a scan in gynae! 🤦🏻‍♀️ GP sent me this morning after I spoke with them thinking I perhaps had an infection! Hoping that's still the case and I just need antibiotics! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Hope you ladies are feeling better and crazy symptoms are calming down - I really want takeaway and fizz too after all this!!! 🤪

@bubblybrit I'm getting so impatient too! Hope AF arrives soon for us both!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Happy Friday ladies! Hope everyone is having a better day today! 😘😘😘

TheDaydreamBelievers · 15/01/2021 11:19

Another positive Opk today so DH better do his stretches and limber up! Wink

I totally understand the impatience - my mood has improved SO much just from knowing physically I'm moving forwards.

Though was super weird to see an empty uterus yesterday- didnt realise they collapse to basically be a flat line where the two sides touch!

bubblybrit · 15/01/2021 11:26

@M4v3r1ck. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted AF to arrive so much as I do now. I’ve been comfort eating this week which isn’t great. DH and I are getting a takeaway tonight and then I must resist all the crap!

bubblybrit · 15/01/2021 11:30

Good luck @TheDaydreamBelievers!

Pancakes7 · 15/01/2021 12:01

Hello, I hope you don't mind me joining. I just need some people to talk to.

So I had an mmc in May 2018, gave birth to my son May 2019, he's now 20 months old. I had another mmc July 2020 and have been ttc ever since. So I've been pregnant 3 times, each has happened relatively quickly but this time I'm 6 months on and no luck. I'm worrying if I'll manage to have another child or not.

The last 2 months I've used the Clear blue fertility monitor which helps know what's going on with my body. It turns out my ovulation varies by about 2 days.

I have 9 friends from NCT and 3 are pregnant with their second all due just after what would have been my due date. So I'm finding that really hard. I don't see 2 of them but 1 is my best friend so I see her and talk to her a lot. I hate that I should have been due first. My due date was next month. I really thought I'd be pregnant by now.

Anyway sorry for your losses and I hope we all get our positives soon, ones that stick. X

M4v3r1ck · 15/01/2021 14:09

Update ladies: my uterus is clear! Hurrah! Discharge does not seem infective, but they're double checking, and could be ovulatary or pre-AF?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ May have a UTI though, so been given antiobiotics that will cover both that and any possible vaginal infection! Word of warning though, that stupid easyathome PT gave me a faint positive, but hospital thankfully confirmed a BFN! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Also, I chatted to the doctors about all the different symptoms, times, and variations for MC - basically what we've all said here - and they confirmed that this is very typical and normal! We're all different/individual and there's no "set MC process" - hopefully that helps some of you, as it certainly helped me! 😘

@TheDaydreamBelievers they showed my uterus and I was like "huh, what am I even supposed to be looking at!" 😂

@bubblybrit don't be too hard on yourself, this is a crappy time! 😘 definitely joining you for takeaway tonight! 😈

@Pancakes7 sorry you find yourself here, lovely! It's really tough, and I definitely relate to those emotions! Let it all out here, that's what this lovely group is here for! 😘 Six months TTC is not long at all, so don't worry too much!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 15/01/2021 14:15

@M4v3r1ck yeah I thought it would still have the dark space, like there was around the baby, but no it's a line now! Apparently I also have a tilted one.

So glad all clear for you!

bubblybrit · 15/01/2021 14:15

Hope the antibiotics do the trick @M4v3r1ck. I’m determined to have a more positive mindset come Monday. Will wallow a bit this weekend and then onwards and upwards for a new week. I’m also due to return to work on Wednesday and feel a bit more positive about doing so now! Still looking forward to my takeaway tonight though 😂

bubblybrit · 15/01/2021 14:17

@Pancakes7. I’m sorry that you have had to join this group. Please don’t worry too much about TTC for 6 months. It took me 8 months to conceive my DD. I was beyond worried that something was wrong but my friend (who is also a GP) assured me that it was completely normal.

bez91 · 15/01/2021 14:35

@elsimo ahh that's really frustrating and get your dilemma with that, I suppose in a weird way it's frustrating that the tests were ok as it leaves more uncertainty. Did it take you long to conceive your DD

@TheDaydreamBelievers didn't know that about uterus's, you learn something new everyday. Happy shagging 😉

@Pancakes7 really sorry to hear your story 😔 you're in good company here!

@M4v3r1ck that's good news 😊 reading all the posts in here goes to show how different everyone's MC is and how bloody unique/awkward our bodies are in recovery!

Runnergirl1 · 15/01/2021 14:53

Sorry ladies I have been missing in action what with being pregnant, moving house and being a primary school teacher trying to get remote learning nailed has blew my tiny mind

Congratulations to all the bfp’s I may have missed

@RichmondLady1981 yes I have a scan pic. This was at 11+4 and I’ll be 15weeks tomorrow. I am at the stage where it doesn’t feel real again, no real symptoms, no real bump growth just plodding along thanks for asking. I hope your well x

TTC after MC - Dec/Jan 2020 (Thread 16)
elsimo · 15/01/2021 15:03

@bez91 yeah exactley. If I new what the problem was then I could judge whether IVF would overcome that....then boom I get pregnant with not 1 but 2 babies 🤷‍♀️

Not came off my pill, fell pregnant straight away and had a MC then 1 period and fell pregnant with DD xx

PumpkinEverything · 15/01/2021 15:40

That is so weird about the scans @M4v3r1ck @TheDaydreamBelievers I also expected there to be something similar to what we normally see, but without the baby 😂 glad you both got some reassurance today. Have fun today @thedaydreambelievers 😉

ELMcg · 15/01/2021 16:12

@RS2609 congratulations! Hopefully the first of many in this group!

@M4v3r1ck glad you got on OK at the hospital! Good to know our crazy symptoms are normal and that nothing untoward going on! This is where this group is helpful to know none of us are alone.

Still waiting for AF over here but hoping next week is the week!
