CarlyAM · 16/12/2020 21:53

@bitheby you’re so much stronger than I am! I totally blow the surprise lol

Horehound · 16/12/2020 23:42

I'm joining! First month trying since having our first baby who is now 16months.

Can anyone tell me if your body has erratic cycles initially once your period returns or does it generally just fall back to the cycles you had before you were previously pregnant?
I'm still breastfeeding but just had my first period over a week ago. I'm due to ovulate in two days time according to Flo but that's based on my data from before I got pregnant the first time

KerryW87 · 17/12/2020 08:33

@Horehound Can't speak for everyone but after my implant was removed it took 3 cycles for them to go back to a fairy regular cycle, and after I gave birth to my wee boy in July it was around the same. Think it can take a wee while to get back into a regular cycle but never more than a few months for me, so I'm hoping you'll be the same! 🤞

@MariaA11Did you end up testing yesterday?

Hope everyone's doing ok. It was my wee boy's due date yesterday, so we went to lay flowers at the crematorium and just spent the day at home. It's funny, my counsellor/boss/friends had all said over the last few months that I needed to "take time to grieve" or "you haven't grieved" and I used to get annoyed because I'd think "What do you mean, I cry ALL THE TIME 😂" but now I realise I cry over being pregnant again, how it's affected my eldest son, about not coping at work, about people maybe getting sick of me...but yesterday was the first day I just sat and remembered John and his wee face, and how much I miss him....and it was painful but it helped so, so much. So now I think I knew what they meant.

Anyway, massive rant over. Today's a new day. Hope everyone's having a good day :)

MariaA11 · 17/12/2020 09:46

@KerryW87. No i held out! Im going to wait until at least Saturday, or try to!

I’m so sorry that you went through that, I can’t imagine how difficult it was for you, but thank you for sharing this with us. I’m glad you had some time to grieve, and hope you are feeling okay today. You’re right today is a new day! One day closer to getting that BFP!

KerryW87 · 17/12/2020 10:00

@MariaA11 You have AMAZING willpower, I want to try and channel some of that this cycle so I don't keep wasting tests 😂🙈 Ahh I have my fingers crossed for you for testing day then! Any symptoms?

Thank you so much ❤️ My sister-in-law wrote and recorded the most beautiful song for him, she said she had recorded it the week he was born and it honestly was the best gift I could have hoped for. Cried so much listening to it the first time I had to have a quick sleep on the couch 😂 As hard as it's been losing our boy, it's definitely made me realise how lucky I am to have such good family...not everyone has that.

That's it, really crossing my fingers for a wee Christmas BFP! xx

bitheby · 17/12/2020 11:22

Well I'm over 40 and have had an early miscarriage and a chemical this year. Both times I've told my sister only. I think it's wise to wait even if I get a line considering. I'll just have to say I've given up drinking which will be the hardest bit.

KerryW87 · 17/12/2020 12:26

@bitheby Sorry to hear that ❤️ Totally understandable wanting to keep things quiet if it is a Christmas BFP, it's so hard thinking of excuses people can't poke holes in! I have everything crossed for you 🤞

dano99 · 17/12/2020 17:49

I got my 🙂 on Clearblue advanced on Saturday Morning and had a tiny dot streak of light blood in my CM Sunday night. so I'm predicting I'm about 4-5 dpo. So very early for any symptoms which I'm totally aware of but I've become a symptom spotting crazy lady out of nowhere!!

So far I've had the random dull sensation varying from left side uterus to middle since Monday. On Tuesday I had a a kind of cm that I've not had before, Wednesday I started with a ache at the base of my back which hasn't gone away and today 4or5dpo I've had cramps ALL DAY. They haven't gone! They don't hurt but it's like a constant dul pulling I keep describing it as "I can feel my insides when normal I can't" if that makes sense? 🤣 and my nipples are sensitive not sore but I keep noticing them.

Just needed to share all this information so I don't go even more crazy from torturing and keeping it to myself!

Lots of love to you all ans baby dust! ❤️

CarlyAM · 17/12/2020 18:10

@dano99 I’ve had similar cramping and ‘pulling’ at 5 DPO and 7 DPO. Am 9 DPO tomorrow, still think it’s early to rest, but does any one know how likely I am to get a positive tomorrow if I am pregnant? So hard playing the waiting game and I don’t want to test every day and just get negatives :(

Annannanna · 17/12/2020 18:46

@CarlyAM FRER say they can be used up to 6 days before, AF due, would it be within that time frame for you?
Although maybe try to hold out a couple of days, a bfn is so disheartening.

Fingers crossed for you! I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing the odd pulling cramps, it's definitely too early to test but my goodness aren't the days dragging?! ❤️

CarlyAM · 17/12/2020 19:04

@Annannanna due AF in 24th dec so just outside the window, but trying to hold out until 12 DPO at least. I think that way I’d only need to use one test and be disappointed once lol

Annannanna · 17/12/2020 20:17

My AF was 2 weeks late last cycle and I tested from 8dpo so I spent a fortune on tests!

I got really excited by some stabbing pains in the ovary area earlier! I start noticing every twinge and hope it’s a sign!

OP posts:
Newstart20 · 17/12/2020 20:47

@CarlyAM I would try and wait another day or two at least. I tested early today and had a BFN. I was gutted as I really feel like I'm pregnant.

CarlyAM · 17/12/2020 21:10

@dano99 tell me about it! I just want to know so I know whether I can move onto the next cycle mentally.

@Newstart20 aw sucks to get a BFN, but you’re not out until AF shows her ugly head! Try to stay positive for the next couple of days and try again :) Maybe we should both test Monday x

Rice1992 · 17/12/2020 22:08

I have had exactly the same symptoms @dano99! I know I shouldn’t be checking all the time about symptoms but I just can’t help it! I’m around 7dpo so will wait another 6/7 days before I test if I’m patient enough (thanks to the others on this thread for recommending I test Xmas eve instead of Xmas day!), but this is the first month of TTC so I’m not hopeful, as I didn’t use Ovulation kits or anything, just averages on an app

Ralala · 17/12/2020 22:18

Hi, can I join? AF due on Xmas day. I have had 2 losses this year and currently know more people pregnant than not pregnant.... you know how it feels!

Not feeling overly optimistic this month. I was so sure i was pregnant the last 2 months and clearly wasn’t. It’s just a roller coaster!!!

Xxx

BrightonR · 17/12/2020 22:59

Can I jump on this thread? I had my coil out at the beginning of November. I think my cycle may not have got into it's flow again. I haven't had a period for 3 years at least so my body is doing weird things which are proably more hormones.

My boobs feel much bigger and fuller but there is no tenderness. I am really tired and I am really hungry. My stomach is also really bloated. I took 3 tests over the last week and all were BFN. Does anybody else get this when AF is on the way?

HelgaK · 18/12/2020 00:14

Hi, can I join? First month ttc my 3rd child. My second child is almost 8. Today I am approx 4 dpo. Trying not to test before the day x 😅 also not looking for symptoms, but my stomach is so bloated last few days 🙄

Halli2020 · 18/12/2020 03:25

Hello. I had an ectopic pregnancy in October at 8 weeks, I did a pregnancy test last night due to feeling a bit nauseous and odd.this is what I found...

TWW for Christmas BFP, anyone else?
CarlyAM · 18/12/2020 05:44

@Halli2020 that looks like a line to me! Although I’ve never used those strips before, but they say a line is a line :) looks like you’re in for a Christmas surprise, congrats! X

Ralala · 18/12/2020 07:11

Get a frer! That’s looking good

MariaA11 · 18/12/2020 07:22

@Halli2020 congrats! I see the line!

I caved and took a test today. BFN. Just waiting for AF now. 😢

HelgaK · 18/12/2020 08:09

@Halli2020 it looks like a line!
