@Dex1521 @AMS19 I am an accountant too, so funny! 😂 I worked in EY for 6 years but have since moved to an industry job. I used to hate the amount of travel that was involved in audit, hated being away from home! 😂

@jessi60 this is so annoying for you, I hope you get AF soon so you can just move on to the next cycle. I guess coming off BC can mess up our systems, being sick might not have helped you. I'm on Cycle 4 now so I understand your frustration 😖

@CardioQueen so glad you had some positive news from your appointment and that you are getting a plan of action put into place. Must be a relief just to hear that the doctor isn't too concerned and there's various different options for you xx

@DrS44 Woo delighted you got a peak!! Chart looks great!! Hate the whole BBT thing, I never bother changing mine tbh, tend to have many restless nights but just leave it as it is! 😂

@positivitytree2020 haha so many of us are accountants loving it! Yeah audit is crazy amount of travelling I’ve actually been enjoying working from home as it meant no client site visits as they hardly ever expense a hotel haha but it’s busy season now so clients are letting us back on site (unfortunately) lol I only stay for the money and perks of working for them I also prefer the auditing to book keeping tbh

@positivitytree2020 Thanks for your message 🥰 yeah, it’s out of my control isn’t it so just need to relax and what will be will be. Sometimes I regret getting myself into the whole opk testing, recording symptoms and tracking everything. Most of my friends have just let it happen when it happens, think that’s a lot healthier sometimes 🤣 xx

@positivitytree2020 I actually trained in industry so have never worked in practice. My company is one of the very few to offer ICAEW training contracts in industry! I studied 10 years ago though, I'm old! Haha!

@Dex1521 haha I know it’s so funny, must be a popular career! 😂 Ya I say wfh has been great avoiding all the client sites, always found that so annoying with no proper work base, always moving around! 🙈 I preferred auditing too, but was lucky to find a job in industry for same money and less hours! 😂

@jessi60 you’re not alone, it’s always easy to say I’ll just relax, isn’t that easy to do then in reality! 😂 I know what you mean about the OPK testing, I don’t intend on doing it for too long, just until I see a pattern of when I ovulate and get to know my cycles better, then I hopefully shouldn’t need them! 😂 I know so many people who just went with the flow and it worked out for them, I wonder am I crazy at times with all the various charts! 🙈 I went with the flow my first two cycles and didn’t chart, and didn’t work for me either! 😂 i think it’s a lot healthier, mentally anyway! 😂

@AMS19 I know a few people who have trained in industry too and loved it! Think a lot of people just automatically go into practice coz it’s easier to get the training contracts! 😂 and then get the hell out once they’re qualified! 😂 I’m in Ireland so a member of CAI! 😃

So last night it was our works Xmas cocktail making party on zoom. I'm ashamed how drunk I got, so much so that I was throwing up this morning 🙈 Also missed taking my temp at the usual time and my heart rate was so high from drinking that I can't be sure if the temp was artificially high anyway. Really annoying as I've taken it religiously at 8am this cycle and today was quite a key day as it's been the fertile part of my cycle this week.

I don't really know what's going on with me this month either so I relate to the experiences you girls have had @jessi60 and @Dex1521

I'm CD18 and got a high OPK today (though only 0.57), but my most watery mucus and ovulation pain was a few days ago and OPKs seem to be going low to high and back again without a surge 🤔 Plus my temps were sooo high at the start of the cycle 🤷🏻‍♀️ But on the plus side this time last cycle I was already having my AF and I don't feel any signs of that starting early this time so that's one positive.

@DrS44 so happy for you that you got your surge! We are cycle twins this month so hope mine happens

@Emmgrem hahaha we all have times like that! I’m sure a one off won’t have too much affect overall but I’m not sure about the latest high reading. I wouldn’t try overthink it though.

Could someone remind me again with BBT and OPKs do they gradually go up to a peak then drop straight back down or should the reading be low then a sudden peak then drop? If that makes sense 😅

@Dex1521 from the reading I've been doing on the FF and Premom websites and what the lovely ladies here have said, I think it can both for both of those. But post ovulation BBT should stay high until either AF or if pregnant it continues to be high..

@Emmgrem ahhh cycle buddies 💛 that last OPK looks far higher than a point 5? It looks to me as it's as dark as the control line? Maybe you'll peak today? What was last cycle for you, was it gradual or quick LH surge! Also some of your pics I think you might have taken too soon? The pink dye is still running through so it would be fully accurate?)

Tested again this morning and mine is still high! Strange! Thought it would have went down by now... we DTD twice yesterday and I'll have to hop on board this eve 🤣 I'm worried though as I've not had much CM? Strange! Had loads last month!! My temp slightly increased this morning but looks as though I'm far colder than you @Emmgrem 🤣🤣 I'm hoping tomorrow it'll go up confirming ovulation 🙈🙈 xxxx

@positivitytree2020 ya hoping it's my peak and it's worked 🙈🙈 BBT is so confusing 🤣 I'm trying though...

@Dex1521 Your bbt should go up after you've ovulated and if you are pregnant, then it should stay up. It goes down when AF arrives. Your opks should shoot up and then shoot back down again (well, that what happened to me!).

@Emmgrem 😂 I did this last Saturday too after a lot of red wine, took my bbt on Sunday, it was high again, but didn't adjust it. I was pregnant though (didn't know!) cd18 for you - are you now testing twice a day? Definitely a positive that AF hasn't arrived this early for you! Hope you get a peak in the next few days (and dtd!!)

So - this morning I took a digital test and it said pregnant. I'm 4 weeks exactly today! AF should have arrived yesterday, it didn't - wooo! This still doesn't feel real. I feel ok, a bit tired. Also, this could be outing but I had fixed upper and lower braces on Friday so i've been feeling very sorry for myself this weekend. Only been able to eat soups. But, I keep thinking it will be worth it and this time next year i'll have a baby and straight teeth 🙈🙈🙈

@AMS19 @GreenApplesYo and @Bells20 - what do I do now? 😂 Do I contact my GP? Contact midwife services? Is that how it works? When did you all do this? 😂😂
Also, have you bought any books to read about it? I love a book to look at as a guide but there are so many!

Ok I’m sorry I’m so dumb with this BBT and OPKs can someone look at my chart and see if it’s ok - got a 0.73 on OPK today which still says low.

We’ve been DTD the last two nights (first night was a shambles as OH was getting in his own head and couldn’t keep it up but he managed to do his part inside me) yesterday was fine and will DTD again today. Sorry this was so tmi 😂

Also I’m not predicted to ovulate until 22nd so I think I’m going to ovulate early

@PowerOfFlowers hooray for getting to 4 weeks 🙂I called my GP receptionist and asked what the procedure is, all I had to do was self-refer to maternity services. There was a form on my local NHS maternity service site to fill in and email to the midwives. I got a reply from them the same day I sent the form in. I did it at 4+3 but I think this was quite early, there's no rush to get it sent off.

@Dex1521 I'd say you maybe haven't peaked yet but you're on the way up? Are you going to test again this afternoon? That's just my guess though 🙂

@GreenApplesYo yeah I was thinking that too, maybe my peak will be in the next day or two. Yep going to test again this afternoon so finger crossed it’s still high

@PowerOfFlowers that does make me feel better but also feel bad getting so horrendously hungover if it did turn out I was pregnant 😂

@Dex1521your latest OPK is looking great, and good progression too. Def looks like you will peak soon!

OPKs are not my friend this morning. Using the same pee sample I did one E@H test and one one-step test as I just don't trust these cheapies haha. And look at the difference!! One of them is barely there and the other is 0.47 🙈 what am I supposed to believe?! This is after 5-10 mins.
Also disappointed that they seem to go high and then back to low each time rather than progressing 🤷🏻‍♀️
I think I might invest in the CB monitor next month as it's stressing me out using these cheapies. Just wish I could pinpoint my ovulation and whether it's even happening. I'll just be happy getting to that stage let alone getting preg!!

@DrS44 when you said about CM I’m the same this month I’ve had literally non! Whereas last month I had loads so maybe it’s a good sign for both of us 🤞 we seem to have similar cycles as you are around ovulation and I think I’m nearly there 🥰

And the stabbing pain in the fanny 😂 hopefully it is ovulation don’t know what else it could be lol

@Emmgrem I would trust the easy at home one! And looking at the colours of your OPKs rather than the numbers it looks like they're getting gradually stronger rather than up and down??

All my other opks tests are barley visible with other brands but the easy at home ones show something, it’s strange. I never had no CM in November except one tiny amount. So I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I never ovulated despite having a peak 🤷🏻‍♀️ X

, rang my gp to ask what to do and they said I should self refer online. I got a text from them a few days later with the details of my booking appt with the midwife in Jan. Feels totally insane and still not at all real. Great that you got a positive on a digital. I'm just waiting for a 3+ weeks on a digital now and then I'll stop POAS 🙄 I also bought the what to expect when you're expecting book but all the information is available on the app anyway so didn't need to bother paying really. It is good though if you like having something physical to read.

@DrS44 I think my peak was similar, I think mine stayed quite high for about 2 days and then shot right down. Hopefully your temp increase today is the start of TWW!

@Dex1521 that's looking good! Some people do have a gradual rise and some have a sudden rise so whatever is happening for you is totally normal! Fingers crossed for that peak soon!!!

@Emmgrem sounds like you had fun at your work party! Don't worry about one day I'm sure it'll be fine, like you say the high temp probably would have confused your chart anyway I'm sure it'll average everything out! If the OPKs are stressful maybe a CB one would be good, i was thinking if I didn't fall pregnant last cycle I was going to purchase a second hand one from ebay (apparently it's fine to do this because the pee end of the stick never touches the monitor or something). Theyre definitely easier to interpret!

So tested again tonight and OPK back down to 0.39 after continuous rises the past few tests. Kinda worried about this - should I be?

I was up at 0.7 and test line nearly as dark as C line but feel like I’ve gone a million steps backwards

Don’t know if it’s relevant but we DTD about 2 hours before OPK test. Would that have affected it?
