@CardioQueen Lovely to hear from you and thanks for the update. Glad there is options for you and fingers crossed it all goes well. I’m pleased your feeling more positive. Onwards and upwards! Xxx❤️

DrS44 · 11/12/2020 11:26

@CardioQueen thank you so much for keeping us updated. Sounds like you've done great and been really pro-active! Keeping everything crossed for you, it's great that your doc was so positive too.

DrS44 · 11/12/2020 11:28

Thank you all for being so encouraging and lovely 🥰 I will def come back in January to let you know the updates and hopefully our plan of action!

Meanwhile hope all the pregnancies progress nicely and there are more BFPs between now and mid-Jan! 🍀

Dex1521 · 11/12/2020 13:49

This is my charts today still looking ok I think.

I’m due to ovulate next Wednesday and work has just announced they need me in Manchester from Tuesday - Thursday and they’ve offered me a hotel which usually I’d be more than happy to do but I’m going to miss day before, day of and day after ovulation and I’m so stressed now!!

I’m tempted to drive down and back each day (around 80miles each way I live in Darlington) just so we don’t miss out this month maybe I could use covid as an excuse? Like the reason I don’t want to stay in a hotel. I will get petrol expense but will just be a long three days. What would everyone else do?

I work for PwC as an accountant/auditor like it’s a massive worldwide company with an office base in Manchester but the client I’m working for is contracted to the Newcastle office (my office base) so that’s why I have to go and not someone from Manchester. 😖😖

@Dex1521 If it helps it’s just one month out of the grand scheme of things. And you’ll have plenty of other months to try for a baby. As much as I know it’s easy me sitting here saying it but you have to carry on with your life as normal and try not to let it consume you. I travel 34 miles each way to work and that’s enough me. And then you have the added pressure of making sure you dtd aswell. Xx

AMS19 · 11/12/2020 17:18

@Dex1521 if you're due to ovulate Wednesday then as long as you DTD from Saturday each day you will be covered. If you can sneak a morning session in Tuesday morning before you go even better. But you don't need to do it on day of ovulation. I didnt when I got my BFP! So personally I dont think you need to drive back and forth, you won't gain that much from it

P.s. I'm also an accountant! But not in practice 🙂

OP posts:
GreenApplesYo · 11/12/2020 17:29

@Dex1521 yeh I agree with @AMS19 it doesn't mean you're out as long as you DTD in fertile week. I was away overnight the day I ovulated, but we DTD in the lead-up. Plus it might be really stressful driving back and forth, it's not going to get you in the mood for sex anyway?

Dex1521 · 11/12/2020 17:40

Yeah you’re all right! I think I’ll just go and we will start DTD from tonight every other day. Might try wake the OH before I go on Tuesday too. Maybe that’s a good luck charm not being there on ovulation day then 😂

@AMS19 Oo what do you do? Also I love meeting other accountants feel like we always get the name of being boring but jokes on them the wage is great 😂
Thanks for the advice @jessi60 @GreenApplesYo @AMS19

AMS19 · 11/12/2020 18:16

@Dex1521 I work in banking but am ACA! Yeah people also always assume your good at maths and ask me to work out bills. I'm terrible at mental maths 😂😂😂

OP posts:
Dex1521 · 11/12/2020 18:23

I’m ICAEW literally everyone I meet though is ACA but I think it’s all the same really. Haha that’s so true I’m so bad at it too it’s the pressure of mental maths that gets me lol @AMS19 I always say “you do know we are allowed calculators”🤣

AMS19 · 11/12/2020 19:02

@Dex1521 I'm ICAEW! Not ACCA, I have ACA!!

OP posts:
Dex1521 · 11/12/2020 19:25

@AMS19 oh 😂 that’s cool we went the same route I’ll never forget those horrendous exams 😂

jessi60 · 11/12/2020 19:44

@Dex1521 When you think about dtd regularly it does technically increase your chances but it’s only one time that makes it successful and aslong as its within that fertile window. I always think of all the people who fall pregnant by accident it must be before or just after they ovulate and only a small percentage on the actual day x

Dex1521 · 11/12/2020 19:49

@jessi60 yeah you’re completely right I think it was the heat of the moment, going to start tonight I think and then every other day and then Thursday night when I come back. Trying to relax and not think about it as I don’t want stress to make it not happen. It’s only my second cycle so no need to be too worked up if it doesn’t happen either

jessi60 · 11/12/2020 19:54

@Dex1521 Yeah that’s it. We need to relax at times 😂 although need to take my own advice as I’m CD 36 and still no sign of af so I’m fed up! X

AMS19 · 12/12/2020 06:03

@jessi60 that is so annoying!! I think your illness really played with your body. You had a normal cycle before didn't you? Did you have proper AF or just withdrawal?

OP posts:
Dex1521 · 12/12/2020 08:40

@jessi60 aw that is really annoying, it must be when you were ill it’s messed things up a bit, hopefully it’s only a one off though.

DrS44 · 12/12/2020 09:03

@jessi60 how strange?! Have you tried a FRER again? So annoying and yes I think @AMS19 is right!

CD19 today and finally looks like I've my OPK peak 👏🏻👏🏻 thank god! I got medium ratings yesterday so I was feeling more hopeful! Not much EWCM this cycle so I didn't have much warning?

For those who BBT- last night I slept terribly, like so bad! Slept for maybe 2 hours til 2 am then was awake til 4.30/5 and just woke up at 8.30. Checked my BBT because I thought at least I've slept, it was 36.54- but normally I take it at around 6.30? Google says deduct .1 degree for every half hour which would make it 36.14 which is around what it has been for the past 2 days... so the question is... do I

A) disregard BBT
B) input original BBT 36.54
C) input BBT but change to reflect time 36.14?

Thanks in advance xx

DrS44 · 12/12/2020 09:04

@Dex1521 yeah I totally agree with what the gals have said lovely!! The stress of that would just be detrimental! And you could also peak earlier than you think xx

Bells20 · 12/12/2020 09:12

@jessi60 apologies if I've got you confused with someone else but was it the implant you've recent come off? I'm just wondering what they say about AF returning with that or whether you've spoken to other people and they've had delayed cycles? I do think being so unwell is probably the culprit for the delay but so hopefully it's that but also just wondered if it could be normal when coming off the implant? Equally if it wasn't you who was on the implant this will make no sense so please ignore 😂

@DrS44 I would keep the adjusted BBT and if you're using FF you can change the time to whatever time you adjusted it to (6.30?). It might not be totally accurate but I did that a couple of times and don't think it was a problem. It shouldn't matter too much as long as you see that temp rise over the next 3 days now 🤞🏻 mine was really low on the day of my peak then shot right up!

AMS19 · 12/12/2020 09:19

@DrS44 I would use the adjusted one and if later on it looks weird you can disregard it

DrS44 · 12/12/2020 09:23

Fab thanks @Bells20 and @AMS19 I've done that! This is my chart now 🙃 buzzing my opk has come out as 1.52 on Premom and 180% on fermometer 🥳 not that the numbers mean anything but it makes me happy 🤣 xxx
