Huge congratulations @8LPS! So happy for you! Sorry you’ve had a rough few days, hope you’re feeling better now?

Honestly you give me so much hope as I’m going into cycle 13 without a hint of a BFP so it’s extra lovely to hear this :) x

8LPS · 09/06/2021 16:03

God, girls I am so grateful for you all. Thank you all for your support, it means so much to me. I am sending heaps and HEAPS of baby dust to each and every person who is TTC, in and out of this group ♥️ I am glad I’m giving hope to you when I was losing it myself.

Hey @JLP256 - thank you, I’m feeling much better than I did a few days ago but the nausea has stayed with me. And not gonna lie, having the shits for days was NO fun for me nor my husband! 😂🙈 but I am just feeling grateful - I have an explanation for the symptoms and it’s the best symptom I could’ve hoped for.

@jules5232 - thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I am definitely trying to channel all these new feelings into gratitude and enjoyment ♥️♥️

Lynne425 · 09/06/2021 19:51

Congratulations @8LPS I'm sooo pleased for you 💕💕💕 xx

8LPS · 10/06/2021 13:00

@Lynne425 - thank you so much ♥️

Rose2108 · 11/06/2021 09:31

Hi Wonderful Gals Flowers

@8LPS I am just over the moon for you! There is no two women who have had the same symptoms... don't worry at all if yours aren't what you expect, it doesn't mean anything bad! I remember people making me feel worried because I wasn't sick at all, I didn't need to pee all the time, and other things... some friends would look concerned and say "Oh... really?". Everyone's body is different!! Yeah the abdo pain when you cough is a normal one too. I hope the vomiting doesn't stick around for you!

Hi @jules5232, hope you are well, I am so glad to hear your 20 week scan went well, I imagine now you will start to get organised and get things sorted! Mine is coming up in a few weeks time. I have bought absolutely nothing so far !!

Hope the rest of you in the gang are all keeping well.

I'm only 19 weeks and yesterday I sneezed and a little wee came out hahaha. Oh dear! xxx

BumbleB1 · 17/06/2021 09:32

@8LPS Oh my goodness, huge congratulations to you!! So so happy for you 🥰 don’t feel bad at all, we will all get our positive when our time is here. Please don’t feel nervous, like others have said, everyone will have different symptoms. Thank you for telling us all about your experience and the things you’ve used which might’ve contributed. How has your husband reacted? Has it fully sinked in for you both yet?

Hope everyone else is doing well? I finally told my mum that we’re hoping for a baby, and it was really nice to get it off my chest, I feel like I’ve been lying to her cos we’re so close! She then told my dad lol, who was also very reassuring and luckily hasn’t got too excited cos he understands it can take a while. Have my day 26 blood test tomorrow so will hopefully find out more next week. Where is everyone else in their cycle? Any new tips?

@Rose2108 hahah thanks for sharing this, I’m sure there will be plenty more of that to come 🤣 not gonna lie, I’ve definitely had that happen before and I’m not even pregnant, and only 25 lol!! Hope you’re pregnancy journey is going well xx

8LPS · 25/06/2021 18:22

@BumbleB1 how are you? thank you so much! To be honest it still hasn’t hit me. It feels kind of surreal, like it’s not happening haha! Esp cus I don’t really have that many symptoms apart peeing a lot and BLOATING 😳 My husband was in disbelief and told me to do a second test to make sure, even though I’d told him it’s extremely rare to get a false positive! 😂 he’s over the moon and was bursting to tell everyone! We told my parents last week and we’re on way to tell his right now...eek! We went for a 6 week scan a couple of days ago and it reassured us that everything’s ok.

By the way all, I just realised the other day - all of the things I listed that me and my husband have been doing that might’ve contributed, we’d been doing for ages. BUT I just realised that it was only our second time using the Conceive Plus lube - it could be a total coincidence but I had heard of miraculous things happening when using it so we never know!

I hope everyone is doing well, and has a lovely weekend xx

Lynne425 · 25/06/2021 18:27

@8LPS aww that's fab that your 6wk scan was all good. Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy 💕 and your only symptom remains to be 'bloating' or blooming as my sister is calling it xx

8LPS · 27/06/2021 08:25

@Lynne425 thanks so much 🙏 Baby dust to all 💕 xxxx

BumbleB1 · 06/07/2021 12:16

@8LPS Aw I bet, so happy for you and your husband! Bet your families have been so excited as well 😍 glad to hear the scan went well too. Thank you for letting us all know about the lube as well, always worth considering.

I’m doing okay thank you. My bloods showed my progesterone was slightly lower than what was needed to show ovulation but dr wasn’t concerned as he said it’s likely the levels were higher either before or after the bloods were taken. He said to come back after 3 months if still no luck and he’ll do more tests. Boyfriend is also willing to get tested so will sort that soon. Didn’t get on well with BBT so have now started using OPK strips, have a faint line so will keep testing and hopefully it will darken 🤞🏼

Not many messages on here nowadays but I hope everyone is doing well 💕 baby dust to everyone still hoping for their positive xx

Rose2108 · 13/07/2021 16:14

Hey lovely ones. Just thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing? How is everyone feeling about the changes on 19th? Hope some of you have got nice holidays booked. We're hoping for a long weekend in the Cotswolds in September.

I've had a weird few weeks; had a car accident a little while ago, thankfully everyone was mostly unhurt except for a bit of backache. Baby was checked over and seems fine, but it filled me with anxiety and I spent weeks worrying (which I am sure is normal!!). I got a T&T isolation alert so am stuck at home at the moment. Lateral flows have been negative and I sent a PCR off today.

I can't believe we are in the second half of the year. I literally do not remember Jan - March. Feel like I tried to just get through each day!! I hope you are all doing okay on your TTC journeys. Can't wait for the day I find out you've all got your BFP's! xxx

AshleeMaria · 13/07/2021 16:23

Hi, I'm 26 years old and have been ttc for 10 months, I have a query, so any advice would be appreciated. I came on CD23, a week earlier than predicted. on CD22 I had sharp pains in my left side sporadically all day, couldn't walk properly, thought I had injured myself as I had never experienced that before. Then on CD23 fresh blood, so just thought that's it.
Then the next day brown discharge with some fresh blood every so often and that has continued for the last 3 days, its very unusual for me and I have been ttc for 11 cycles now so I'm a little bit worried as to what is going on. some cramping evident although quite mild though and nothing like the sharp pains felt on CD22. I've also experienced some hot flushes on and off.
Any advice would be appreciated TIA

BumbleB1 · 26/07/2021 13:14

@Rose2108 hey, good to hear from you again! A trip to the Cotswolds sounds perfect 😍 hope you have the best time. Have annual leave booked in September so might go abroad to Spain if not will be somewhere in the UK.

Sorry to hear about the car accident, that must’ve been so scary. Definitely normal to worry but I’m glad all is okay. Hopefully isolation wasn’t too bad and you managed not to catch anything 🤞🏼

Hope everything’s going well for you xx

@AshleeMaria hi, welcome! I’m sorry I haven’t experienced anything similar so don’t really have any knowledge or insight, it might be worth speaking to your GP if you’re worried? Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful..

Just a quick update from me, I started using the OPK strips and DTD just after my peak and then again the following day. Have generally been feeling calmer about it all just from seeing the peak! Just under a couple of weeks later I was getting pains in the side of my lower abdomen which I thought were early signs of AF.. It was due yesterday but still no signs other than sore boobs.

I’m trying not to get my hopes up that this could be our month but it’s so hard not to 🙈 it’s too early to be saying this to anyone so thought I’d share with you guys, hope that’s okay! AF has done this before and then arrived late so I know that’s a possibility. I’m thinking of taking a test tomorrow if I’m still not on, but I know it could still be too early to tell..

Either way, it feels good to get that out! I don’t want to tell anyone in case AF is just late, but I couldn’t hold it in 🙈 Hope everyone else is well and keeping my fingers crossed for more BFPs 🤞🏼💕

Will update on the test x

jules5232 · 26/07/2021 14:36

@Rose2108 what a scary situation to go through! I would be so nervous too, but it's great to hear everything checked out and you and the little are okay. Hope you are feeling good and have some energy to enjoy the second half of the year with less anxiety!

@BumbleB1 So nice to hear how you're doing. Seeing the opk peaks and knowing your body is doing what it needs to is always so reassuring. Fingers crossed for you this month! If AF was due yesterday, it definitely possible you could get an accurate test if you got a sensitive early tester. I completely understand wanting to hold out, but you could get some answers if it gets to be too hard of a wait.

@AshleeMaria I would definitely check this out with your GP if you havent already. I wish I had advice but I hope you're feeling better now.

JLP256 · 26/07/2021 15:38

Hi ladies!

@BumbleB1 oooh I am so hopeful for you, I admire your willpower for waiting to test! It sounds promising (although I completely get needing to feel cautious). Keep us posted!

@Rose2108 gosh that accident sounds really scary, glad to hear that you are all ok. My DH got pinged the other week too (just before my birthday, brilliant haha) - hope isolation was ok for you and you managed to take it easy! You must be over halfway now, so exciting 💕 are you finding out the sex or keeping it a surprise?

@jules5232 how have you been??

Quick update from me, I’m doing 3 months of day 21 bloods after first speaking to my GP back in May. Annoyingly my cycles have been all over the place lately (normally 28-30 days, last month was 24 days and I’m now on CD23 and OPKs haven’t picked up ovulation yet?!). So I’m quite happy I’m doing a few months of tests because I’m not convinced I’m getting the dates right.

Hope to see some more BFPs soon :)

Lynne425 · 26/07/2021 17:58

Hey all

Lovely to get some update from you all!
I'm on CD24 at the moment with AF due Friday but tbh I don't think this is our month, got zero symptoms and just this feeling.

Was gonna test this morning but something told me not too as I had a feeling it would be BFN and just put me in a downer of a mood.

Decided tho if AF arrives I'm gonna go and have a good girly day out with my sister with lots of cocktails 🍹

Im gonna try get a GP appointment next week if AF arrives to see what tests are available, will they view us as TTC for over a year or will they could the miscarriage in January?!

Would just be good to get some tests to see if everything is ok or what the options going forward are xx

BumbleB1 · 28/07/2021 21:20

Sorry if this is a repeat, I posted earlier but it doesn’t look like it went through?

Thank you all for your hope and crossed fingers. I’m in shock still but I actually got my first ever BFP yesterday morning 🤯🙈😍!!!

I’m sorry if this is hard for anyone to read, I know it’s tough to see other people’s BFPs.. but I thought maybe our time would never come so hopefully this is proof that it can and it WILL happen for all of us ✨

I’m trying to stay positive and not think about anything going wrong but it’s very hard.. And I’m hesitant to go over to the other side of Mumsnet after hearing you guys say it’s full of MC stories 😣 so any advice / words of wisdom from those in their pregnancy journey would be very much appreciated 😘

@jules5232 the OPKs were very reassuring for me.. part of me wonders if I would’ve got my positive if I started using them earlier but I know it could just be a coincidence.

@JLP256 aw thank you I just hate the disappointment of the BFNs. I hope having your bloods done will help shed some light on your ovulation date 🤞🏼 It’s good that they’re happy to test at different times.

@Lynne425 I am completely with you on the negative tests, it’s so disheartening 😔 definitely best to wait it out if you can I think. Cocktails sounds like a fab option if this isn’t your month! Hopefully you can get some tests done, and I would assume they would view you as TTC for over a year surely?? I don’t know, maybe someone else knows for definite?

Sending baby dust to everyone 💕

Magic dust for 2021 5month+ crew continued
Lynne425 · 28/07/2021 21:25

Aww congratulations @BumbleB1 that's amazing news - every BFP on this thread gives me hope that someday I'll see it again 💕💕

I took a test this morning again and BFN as expected but only on 12dpo but just got this feeling I'm out!!

Xx

BumbleB1 · 28/07/2021 21:40

@Lynne425 thank you so much!! Sending lots of positivity and baby dust your way 💖 and to everyone out there TTC!

Sorry to hear you got a BFN, the test was quite early though so you never know 🤞🏼 But I get what you mean about having a feeling. At least you haven’t got to wait much longer to know if AF has arrived and then you can move forward to getting some more tests done xx

If anyone wants to know anything about my TTC journey then please just ask! I’m an open book ☺️ The only difference this month to the rest was using the OPK strips. I’ve been taking folic acid (Seven seas - trying for a baby) for quite a few months. I cut down on alcohol quite a lot this cycle, not that I drink much anyway but I just made a conscious effort to drive and not drink whenever we went out. I normally kept my legs in the air for a few minutes after DTD but I never really had much faith in that lol! No idea if any of this made a difference but worth sharing anyway 🥰

jules5232 · 28/07/2021 21:41

@BumbleB1 congratulations!!! That's so exciting. I had a feeling you might get a positive based on your last post. I would personally avoid the other side if you happen to be a worrier like me. It can be tough to read when so much feels up in the air. Just try to think positively and enjoy your BFP, try not to think about allll the other things. If you want to share in the excitement with others it is good for that too!

@JLP256 I've been doing well, thank you! I hit 30 weeks tomorrow and my energy is starting to drag again but took some time off work this week to relax and it's been so nice. That's good you are going to get a couple tests to find out what's going on. Have you had any other signs of ovulation besides a positive OPK (cervical mucus, etc). I dont know if you could be similar, but I was having a few months of never getting a positive opk strip and started testing first thing in the morning and that change made me catch the surge. Worth a shot if you test later in the day, when you've been drinking water?

8LPS · 29/07/2021 09:15

@BumbleB1 congratulations!!! So happy for you! 💕 if you ever want to chat, feel free to message me.

Personally, I’ve stayed away from joining in on the pregnancy forums because I worried a lot in the early stages of my pregnancy. I was absolutely convinced that something was going to happen to didn’t feel attached to my baby for a good few weeks 🥺 Just remember that it’s natural to worry to a degree, especially this early on - and after you’ve been waiting so long for this! But also remember that this is what you’ve been waiting for, so enjoy/embrace the pregnancy, and do what you can to relax your mind and body 🙂 congrats again!

BumbleB1 · 29/07/2021 22:08

@jules5232 thank you so much!! 🥰 yeah I’m definitely a bit of a worrier so I’ll try to stay away from it, I have looked at a couple of threads around booking a private scan but even they were all talking about MCs so I quickly came off them 😬 did you book any private scans? I’ve already caved and booked one for some reassurance!

@8LPS aw thank you!! 😘 Yeah I’m going to try and stay away from them as much as I can until things feel a bit more certain. I’m trying to stay positive but sometimes say things to my partner about preparing for bad news and he says I shouldn’t think that way (I know he’s right!). Thank you, I’m definitely making use of relaxation and breathing techniques! How are you getting on? What scans have you had so far? I’ve just booked a private scan for some reassurance.

xxx

8LPS · 31/07/2021 08:35

@BumbleB1 you’ll be absolutely fine 🙂 haha my husband said the same thing to me as well!!! lol I swear men just have an in-built positivity gene in them or something 😂 being PWPs we know exactly what we should be doing but if anything, knowing all the techniques makes it so much harder lol! 🙈 take it easy and try to rest up (although I’m sure your energy levels aren’t feeling so different right now, but trust me lol they will in the next few weeks!).

I’m getting on ok thank you, just over 11 weeks now! 🥰 I also needed reassurance so we had a 6 week scan and we were lucky enough to see a heartbeat (we were told it may be too early to see one). We weren’t going to have another scan until the 12 week scan that the NHS provide, but last weekend I started bleeding and panic mode kicked in - obviously started thinking the worst! Called the ‘early pregnancy unit’ and they said it sounds normal (something to do with the placenta). But we wanted peace of mind, so we got another private scan and everything was fine thankfully - just a little blood clot which the radiographer couldn’t really explain, except the fact that the clot was nowhere near the baby or the placenta so everything is fine. Silver lining is that we got to see the baby looking like an actual baby this time and it was kicking around and it was fist pumping! It’s gonna be a raver 🥰😂

AKcheer · 31/07/2021 20:33

Hi everyone how are you? So nice to see and hear so many of you have for BFPS! Congratulations to everyone. And those who are pregnant it sounds like you guys are getting on well!

I thought I’d drop a message as been MIA! I’m struggling to be honest. It’s been a year since trying now and we’ve had no luck. I’ve never seen 2 lines on a preg test and it’s hard! Went to a private clinic who said everything seems fine but recommend a hycosy procedure so I’m going to get that booked in (they said wait a few months and I’ve waited 3 now). And I guess if it doesn’t happen we will need to seek other options. Losing hope to be honest with you guys x

Rose2108 · 01/08/2021 09:45

Morning everyone, thanks for your messages of support. It definitely was scary times and obviously getting the vaccine has been a confusing time when pregnant! But just trying to do what is right and look after myself! Yes I am coming up to 27 weeks this week, so third trimester on the horizon, have no idea where the time has gone to be honest and we are very disorganized! Ha. Must get cracking.

Hey @AKcheer ☺️ it's great news that everything seems to be well but I totally relate to how disheartening this all is. I really do just feel like it's luck more than anything, my friend fell pregnant with her first in month one off the pill, and has been trying for her second for 18 months! It's so hard but I know you'll get there, I want it for you so much x

@BumbleB1 congratulations!!! How exciting for you. I'm so pleased! Yes genuinely the pregnancy forums aren't going to add any positivity to your journey at all. Just stay away, start buying some books or watching some YouTube videos on the development of your baby at each week. Take it slow and don't get wrapped up in the "what if" which you can't control! I never look at forums now! I'm too busy trying to get my ankles to deflate 😂

Lovely to hear your doing well too @8LPS! Time will fly honestly, you'll be in your 20 week scan before you know it.

One of my closest friends has just found out it won't happen naturally for her. It's so heartbreaking. I'm trying to be supportive but I know you just don't want to be around pregnant people when TTC! I couldn't stand it!

Xxx
