Morning Ladies. How are we all? Anyone's ovulation on the horizon!?
Still nothing from maternity unit, I'll probably call up on Friday just to confirm the process if I have still not heard anything, as I will be over 6 weeks then (hopefully!).
We're already starting to disagree on things LOL. I am at the point where I need to tell my parents. I see them basically every day for walks and talk to them daily too. As I am feeling quite unwell and have a lot of normal anxieties the pregnancy is on my mind a lot, and I have to stop myself from saying things when I am with them. However, husband says if we tell them, we have to tell his parents too. We rarely speak to his parents who live quite far away. I like them a lot but just feel I would like to share this news after 12 weeks when we are v. excited and not cautious and nervous, as we are now. He doesn't see my view on it at all. Maybe I am being unreasonable; but I feel like telling them because he doesn't want them to feel left out is silly! It will be a case of saying "It's really early, please don't tell anyone, we have a way to go before we can get excited", and I just don't want it to be like that. Hey ho.
That's exciting @Lynne425, I am hoping your cycles will be back to normal soon.
@KerryW87 love the pic! You look like a pro! And delighted your bloods were normal too.
@AKcheer We have quite a few things cropping up too! Have been invited for a week away in October and had to turn it down... ! Its lovely to have things to look forward to isn't it.
@BumbleB1 due to my short luteal phase, I was taking a vitamin B complex (which has folic acid in it) and vitamin C. I also took agnus castus to help regulate my cycles as my ovulation was all over the place. Lastly, I had been taking Omega 3 for ages. I've now stopped taking everything and just switched to the pregacare pregnancy supplements :)
My GP suggested the bloods as I had called them in June last year re a really bad 12 day AF, and Sept re a late AF with a BFN. I spoke to them again in Jan re my late ovulation, and they suggested I go get the bloods done. They knew we had been TTC for 9 months.
@8LPS haha that made me chuckle re the SA! I am good thanks, how are you getting on? You are right that it has not sunk in yet really! Lazy days are definitely needed every now and then. Saturday was manic with cleaning and DIY so yesterday all we achieved was a walk and a roast dinner! The rest of it was spent on the sofa! I also cut his hair which was... interesting lol.
Now that I have told 2 friends it is a bit easier, and I haven't found myself heading to the forums, as I have been able to ask them questions instead.
The conceive plus we used was the fertility lube, not the tablets :) If it makes you feel better, I am 31, a little overweight, with bonkers ovulation and hormones. My husband is 36, he has just given up smoking in 2021 but drinks at the weekend still (he said lockdown is too bleak without beer). We both eat really well but also love to indulge!! Definitely not specimens of health but we got there!!
