Morning Ladies,
@Lynne425 Lol, I do that sometimes, and read my messages back and think I just said the same thing! Our minds in TTC are all over the shop, it is such a rollercoaster isn't it. Can I ask, you early scan, was that 6 weeks? Did you book it privately?
@JLP256 Thank you :) how are you?
@8LPS Thanks! I had a lovely day off on Friday, just nice to break up the routine of WFH life. I do that with my phone too, or end up on instagram!
I don't know tbh. I feel quite odd, like it isn't happening? The fact we haven't barely told anyone, and I haven't been able to speak to a Dr or anything, I don't know what I expected really but just feels odd now that your body takes over and you have no clue what is (or isn't?!) going on in there... I have to tell myself millions of people have babies all the time and I found out really early so bound to take some time for things to happen....
I briefly went over to the pregnancy forum on here and I don't think I will do that again. I do understand it is good to share experiences but every post I read seems to be people saying "I have 3 MC's before this", or "just had a MMC" or something. I know it is real and you have to be aware of it but just makes me feel like something is bound to go wrong. As you say, best to be present in the moment and try to be positive! It's a bit cliche but my current thinking is to tell my mum and dad on mothers day, I will be 6 weeks by then. And if I had a loss after that I would tell them anyway. Probably keep it under wraps until then.
Also, try not to worry about your age, I know it is easier said than done but more and more people are having kids in their 30's. A lady at work just had her first and she's 42. You still have alot of time. I will hopefully be having a second when I am about 33/34!
@jules5232 - Can I ask, did you have a private Dr? I called yesterday and the women on reception was so unhelpful and said "You need to register the pregnancy online" - Had no idea what she meant or where! And haven't told any friends who live near me! I managed to figure it out online (have to register through closest hospital), but I want to talk to a GP to ask some Qs re medication I have taken and also my low iron. Just feels weird that a little plastic test says positive and then that's it? You just sit and wait for 12 weeks?! When I did the online form it said "someone will be in touch, this may take up to six weeks" ... I will be 11 weeks then!! The whole thing is making me feel a bit anxious, I just want to talk to someone for reassurance. Trying to phone this morning but have been on hold for 20 mins...
The choc tasting was lovely ladies! It was hotel choc and they sent a box to the house and then did a zoom session! @BumbleB1 We did the macmillan murder mystery, it was good fun! And have done the horse racing night too with my grandad bless him!
The one thing I think I forgot to mention ladies is that we used conceive plus this cycle, the fertility lube. Not the ones you insert into you but just the tube of lube. We just used a really small amount when we DTD the day before and after peak ovulation. Who knows if it made a diff, but it's the first time we used it, plus pinpointing ovulation with sticks and bbt. And also, seems obvious, but laying still for half an hour afterwards. xx
