Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

We talk sex, tv, work, more sex, food, slimming, RHR, charts, spicing things up or down, crafting (a more recent addition for 🎄🎅🏻) and help each other out in any way possible. Oh and yeah Trying to make babies gets mentioned a bit too but more often than not our bodies just do what they want!

When I say a few of us have been around the TTC block I don’t mean 🍆I mean as a MN group, not just a bus, a mini sanctuary since March for some of through the highs and lows of making babies through 2020 ❤️🥰

How we roll on this bus...
⁃ No judgement & each to their own on your TTC journey
⁃ Sense of humour DEFINITELY required
⁃ A few of us like a sex toy a few don’t, there may be sex toys discussed! 🤪a few of our fellas have enjoyed this aspect
⁃ Support each other, ranting is allowed, saying you are down is encouraged & celebrating our happy days too 😘
⁃ We have fun
⁃ If you have a pet, it’s welcome aboard
⁃ Now mandatory picture of your 🎄tree when up or Xmas decorations / Xmas jumper or similar
⁃ Ditto Wreath - extra points awarded if wreath is homemade 🥰
⁃ NOTHING IS TOO MUCH INFORMATION

@Vil10 currently holds the 👑for filthiest/most embarrassing story, can you beat her??? Though @lucyrp recently spewed sambucca over her fingers so maybe that’s debatable

Story so far...

June 24 BFPs
July 11 BFPs
August 18 BFPs
Sep 4 BFPs
Oct 7 BFPs
Nov 7 BFPs

2 BFPs in Dec already and it’s the 1st 🥳

How many more 🤔

@Franklydear haha yup that would indeed be busy now! Ah they're such twats though, I'm sorry! Nothing they can do really though, other than mess with your head.

lucyrp · 10/12/2020 09:50

@paintfairy he hardly ever has any days off and when I said ever I mean like one or two a year, always goes in even if I'll and he never takes holiday so has it all left at the end of the year. Think he still has two weeks left now!

Minster2012 · 10/12/2020 09:51

Yeah I mean just running by the scenario that your higher manager said that's all. Cos a childminder would look after an isolating child. Not. @Franklydear could you just say "obviously I appreciate it's not ideal, but we are in a pandemic which is clearly not ideal and we are not above the guidelines set out by the government. I'm not sure what our union reps would say about the tone of your suggestion I endanger more staff by ignoring government guidelines on staying at home to look after my autistic child under 16, but i can certainly ask them. What I can't do though is explain to my autistic child why his mummy (who is his rock) is not the person who will be with him at such a distressing time for him anyway. If I could have your suggestion in writing I will email the rep, I guess they are busy too."

@Juno231 my head is close, no work entry allowed, so as you say nothing they can do, so.....where’s that tumble weed

Franklydear · 10/12/2020 09:55

@Minster2012 that’s pretty much what I said but without the veil threat, I do have the rep on wassap quite well informed already

paintfairy · 10/12/2020 09:58

@Minster2012 pandemic or not (guidelines or not) people don't seem to care. My DH has been told as soon as we are out of tier 3 they have to go back to the office (absolutely no reason to, they can fully work from home) just because that's where they want them. They also made them go back before too. All they care about is money. Not staff. No wonder the country is a mess. People keep leaving too but they never seem to realise its because of them?
@lucyrp the harder you work and the more you comply, the worse it is sometimes! You get no thanks for being loyal, never having time off. There comes a point when you question why you are breaking your back for these people.

Minster2012 · 10/12/2020 09:58

Good @Franklydear tough titties to them. Stay firm.

I will put my hackles back away now 🙄

School called, absolutely not taking him back until the end of period even with negative test, I called management back, really surprised but that is that, if he can’t go to school I can’t go to work, I might try my doc to see if she’ll test him any way, just cos I am a bit nervous about having covid, potentially for now, in the house, but I suppose that if he got it, by the time a test show, it’ll be too late for me to do anything about it, anyway, now that the school won’t accept the negative, work couldn’t care less about knowing to keep me safe

DJmum83 · 10/12/2020 10:40

@Juno231 thank you. He was 92 but very sudden always been fit and we are all very close. Saturday went to hospital with suspected UTI then passed away Monday with kidney failure.
He was a good age but still a shock.
I agree think I'm 6 dpo as I had the ovulation cramps on the Friday.
We will see what happens. If AF is coming do the temps start to drop how many days before AF due do they usually drop.

@Minster2012 and @Vil10 thank you hard time at Xmas.
Be nice to get a BFP and cheer everyone up but we will see.
Xx

DJmum83 · 10/12/2020 10:42

Oh goodluck @Juno231 chart looking good xxx

Juno231 · 10/12/2020 10:55

@DJmum83 temps do whatever they want really in the LP so they're not a great guide tbh. Sometimes they can start dropping before AF - that can be sudden and sharp, or gradual from around 10DPO ish. Or they can stay super high until a few days into AF. Or they can start dropping but still be a BFP or go really high and still be a BFN. That's the main reason why they say not to bother chart at that point unless you really want to :). Oh and I've been charting since June and have had all the above variations (without the BFP of course) so I can't even claim there's any consistency to it per person!

Minster2012 · 10/12/2020 11:10

@Franklydear that's what the schools say here too so no different

@DJmum83 I totally know the feeling, it's kind of expected at that age but still awful. I lost my 3 grandparents during lockdown, at 103, 96 and 94, my granny & grandad 2 weeks after one another. They were all very frail and none Covid but still awful. Sending you big hugs lovely

@DJmum83 no matter how old people are and how much you expect it, is always a shock, so sad
@Minster2012 she was quoting a male manager who's kids were able to go back to nursery after negative test, I refrain from saying that maybe his wife has a different story, and potentially list some work,

kalidasa · 10/12/2020 12:29

@DJmum83 as @Juno231 says temps in the LP can be quite variable and if you haven't charted the LP regularly it probably won't tell you very much so try not to obsess about it! Personally, my temp usually drops noticeably (but still above cover line) the day before my period actually starts. A lot of women will always see the highest temps in the second half of the LP which can look really encouraging if you're not used to charting and are hoping for pregnancy, but may just be your normal pattern. Temps still high when your period is due are obviously a good sign, though if you haven't charted for a while you may not be sure how long your luteal phase usually is so even this can be hard to tell. A lot of women see erratic temps (up and down) during their period before a clearer drop to a consistently lower level in the week before ovulation.

katekam10 · 10/12/2020 12:36

I can’t quite believe how awful some employers are. Hope Mine aren’t perfect but then I work in the health and wellness sector so they are taking the pandemic/ health very seriously. I hope your employers get their acts together.

@Minster2012I’ve kept the symptom spot in check today as I seem to have been hit with an anxiety wave today (over nothing but becoming overwhelmed by the smallest thing) just going to have a walk and peppermint tea.

amy2503 · 10/12/2020 12:37

@Vil10 that is SO helpful !!!!!! xxxx

paintfairy · 10/12/2020 12:47

@DJmum83 I agree it's never easy, even if expected. I'm sorry it's been a difficult week.

My friend had a baby today. She started ttc after I did.... 😔

DJmum83 · 10/12/2020 13:37

Thanks @Juno231 good to know I'm feeling pretty calm about it all this month compared to last. What will be will be.
Have my fingers crossed for you this month.

@Minster2012 so sorry to hear all that, it's never easy and just so sad.

@paintfairy I'm sorry must be hard to hear. Keep telling yourself it will be your turn soon.

Xx

DJmum83 · 10/12/2020 13:38

Union rep called, he’s going to try to get them to pay me at least some of the days

amy2503 · 10/12/2020 15:23

Oh you're so helpful. Thank you so much sweet xxxxx @Vil10

Juno231 · 10/12/2020 15:34

@amy2503 I'm the same OPK wise as Vil10 btw - faint line one day and BAM peak the next.

DOB78 · 10/12/2020 16:16

Hi all. I know everyone is really busy with their own TTC journeys and I really am trying to keep up but I wanted to ask a question and hopefully restore some positivity. Apologises if this is a bit lengthy.
I was due ov around 22nd DTD on that day and 24th. Felt rough for a few days after cramps, nausea, lightheaded, back ache, sore boobs. Had a couple of BFNs. Then 4th had 3 days ewcm thought might be implantation 2 more tests 6th and today BFN. AF was due 6th but been a no show. I
I'm now thinking 4th may have been late ov due to having covid. DTD on 4th.but have no signs of AF or anything else. Had a bit of right side womb pinching earlier and I keep.peeing but nothing else.
Am.i being overly hopeful or just plain crazy???
Not using BBT or OPKs just premom and femometer for dates.
Thanks for any responses and honesty appreciated x

Juno231 · 10/12/2020 16:18

@dob78 your guess is as good as ours! If you had EWCM early Dec it's possible you're only 5-6DPO now. Too soon for any pregnancy symptoms and they all overlap with pre AF anyway as it's all progesterone based. Best bet is to wait a week and test!
