Welcome to the longest running funniest bus ride in history! Or so we like to think anyway...

We talk sex, tv, work, more sex, food, slimming, RHR, charts, spicing things up or down, crafting (a more recent addition for 🎄🎅🏻) and help each other out in any way possible. Oh and yeah Trying to make babies gets mentioned a bit too but more often than not our bodies just do what they want!

When I say a few of us have been around the TTC block I don’t mean 🍆I mean as a MN group, not just a bus, a mini sanctuary since March for some of through the highs and lows of making babies through 2020 ❤️🥰

@DOB78 did you have any ovulation symptoms around 22nd, when you originally expected to ovulate? It is not that uncommon to 'warm up' for ovulation more than once in a cycle, only finally ovulating the last time round. I used to do this loads when I was younger, though my cycles got more regular once I was married and having sex regularly (!). Illness or stress is a classic reason why your body might have started the process of preparing for ovulation but then given up for a few days and come back to it once things calmed down. What was the last day you saw EWCM? If the last day you saw EWCM was the 6th, you can cautiously assume that you ovulated either that day or (more likely) the day after so you would still be way too early to test. Generally ovulation happens the day after the "peak" day (that is, the last day you see the most fertile quality cervical fluid). As you're not temping you can't be sure whether or not you have ovulated at all so if you see any EWCM again, you should assume you are still fertile and go for it. Some women do see 'watery' cf just before a period (as the womb lining begins to break down) but not usually proper stretchy EWCM. Hope that helps a bit!

@Kalidasa no signs if ov on 22nd now you mention it. Last day of ewcm was the 6t and it was stretchy not watery. This was massively helpful thank you just gonna have to do the whole waiting thing again now aren't I

@franklydear thank you I just feel like I'm looking for anything hopeful to cling to and this is only our first month TTC. God help me

@fanklydear. I'm just so confused by my own body and its horrible. My periods were so regular for the last 30 years I get the implant and boom funked everything up!

@DOB78 yes if you're not temping unless you have always had extremely regular cycles you should ignore the calendar and just go by your cervical fluid I think -- any watery or EWCM, assume you are fertile until a couple of days after it disappears. The point of EWCM is to allow the sperm to survive, so it probably peaks for most people about a day before ovulation rather than at ovulation itself. Fingers crossed for you!

@franklydear sorry to hear about your nightmare school / work saga. We were dreading this term thinking the boys would be constantly off school, but we have been so lucky (so far!), with other bubbles closing but not theirs.

@Kalidasa. Thank you thats so helpful and means I may still be in with a small chance. There's just no way OH is gonna DTD more than once a week be lucky if we even manage that every week.
I feel completely ignorant about all this, sounds ridiculous for a 42 Yr old woman with 2 kids.

My body is clearly getting ready for ov, need to spunk up as much as I can as tomorrow is the cut off before dh second sperm test 😒 fuming. BUT we have our first fertility consult tomorrow morning so I'm very excited about that 🌟🌟🌟

@DOB78 I wouldn't trust the apps all that much as our bodies can just throw a spanner in the works. I'd say with the ewcm it was late ov or maybe your body tried and failed? Let's see what happens over the next week or so but don't get yourself down about it x
Does your oh struggle with DTD more than that?

@Newbie0818 yeah I'm happy for her. It's just like a reminder though every time. But helped by other friends (no one knows we are ttc) on the back of that then saying- oh it must be your turn next? Come on, get on with it.

@paintfairy gosh that must've kicked you in the gut! I've just started telling my friends now, soon shuts them up! Prob different for me tho as there's a known issue with us.

@Minster2012 yes only 15 mins away so a lie in and a leisurely breakfast. Bliss. But got there today and was called in for 4 minutes in court and told to go home. Had lunch out at Wagamama's with DH and was lovely!!! Felt guilty that I could ah w down some work but fuck it.

The chips at most restaurants thing is a British thing. Once went to Kenya and the restaurant in the hotel did a different world cuisine a night. Was embarrassed in their "British night" that it was mainly beige and chips.

@ Newbie0818 I starting to feel like the apps are making things worse. We're away for a few days next week so I'm just going to enjoy myself.
Sex has been a massive issue with OH sometimes 2/3 months in between which I find difficult to manage. I'm starting to think its a confidence issue so I'm trying to initiate more which usually works out as planned🙂. It was easier TTC with ex husband DTD nearly every day sometimes twice

Girls, have any of you had dermaplanning done? I've considered it for agesss and I want to get it done before Christmas so my makeup goes on my face better but I've heard that the hairs on your face protect it from dirt and germs so do I really want them taken off?🤔

@Vil10 no but I'm curious to know too... I have a slight bit of peach fuzz on my jawline area that bugs me in certain lights when I've got foundation on! I actually always wondered if having it was actually a PCOS symptom 🤔 but then I have no excess hair anywhere else. I looked at dermaplaning but then panicked thinking I'll grow back a beard 😂

@Vil10 I really want it done but never had it done ! I just bought myself a NU skin lumi spa and it's amazing for cleansing 😍

@2020mission I'm exactly the same! I have a tiny bit of peach fuzz on my the higher part of my jaw line just like below my ear lobe if you would, I've always thought the same too but my mum then reminded me of all the people we know who have quire hairy faces (my aunty who we don't like included) and they don't have pcos, I have really dark hair so kinda think that's why! I thought same, what if it grows back really thick😂

@lucyrp oooo I've never heard of that but sounds lovely!! I'm getting some new makeup next week and haven't worn it in so so long with not being able to go out or do anything and I don't wear it for work so I want it to look flawless over Christmas so really want a facial!!

@Vil10 omg have you not ??? Everyone I have on Instagram is posting about it! It was expensive but so worth it. What brand make up do you use ?? I haven't bought any new in ages as I haven't worn it for ages 🤣 I don't wear it anymore as my brows are micro bladed and I get my lashes done so don't need it!
