Hey everyone! That faint line of mine continued to get darker, and I got a BFP on a digital on boxing day!
I thought I would pop onto this thread and let you know the things I did this month which may have contributed to us getting the BFP for anyone looking to try new things in the new year.
So this month I was taking Co-q10 - no expensive fancy stuff you find online, I bought mine from Wilko for £2.50 (30 capsules). Although they aren't available in every Wilko's store, so check different stores if you are after some. I took it every other day in the run up to ovulation.
I was also taking Vitamin C every so often (not regularly) because I have a short luteal phase and thought that might have been a contributing factor, and I read that Vitamin C could help - don't know how true that is!
I also took the Seven Seas trying for a baby vitamins daily and in addition to that some extra vitamin D as I have been known to be deficient before and the seven seas doesn't look to have much VitD in there. DH was in his second month of taking Wellman conception vitamins.
Our bedroom basically looked like a chemist of vitamins!
As well as that, I tried to adopt a more Mediterranean diet (mainly I ate more tomatoes and courgette) as I read that the Mediterranean diet helps.
I also used OPK's to track my cycles, although I think I missed my positive OPK this month (it must have been a short surge). We DTD in the two days prior to when I think my LH surge was, missed a day and then did it again once. No more sex around that time whatsoever, it must have just been good timing.
I bought some Conceive Plus Lubricant (the individual applicator type ones) but we never used them after all so I can't tell you whether they would have helped or not! No idea what I will do with those now!
In the week after ovulation I was in a strange mindset of feeling like I was out this month, but I feel like I knew deep down something was different. I know the TWW is full of symptom spotting, but honestly for me...I didn't feel any different! My boobs usually are really sore in the run up to my period, and this month they really weren't anywhere near as sore (and still aren't).
I did constantly want to eat the pasta sauce I've been making from scratch and I was disappointed knowing that on Christmas day I wouldn't be able to eat it (that was only 11DPO). And I've not wanted food I usually love. Other that, I've been no different!
Very much struggling to come to terms with the fact it's real though!
I hope all of this will be of use to some of you looking for new things to try, although I know it's probably nothing new!
Good luck to you all, and I hope 2021 brings lots of lovely news for everyone xx
