I know exactly how you feel @Tara1711 , mine was 5 days late for no good reason last month and it's bloody torturous. How long are your cycles usually? I would've thought that by 6 days late you'd definitely have a bold line on a FRER by now though (unless your cycles are only very short?). If not, I'd be inclined to think it might be a chemical. I don't trust other pregnancy tests though - they are no where near as sensitive as FRER despite their claims. The waiting game is infuriating though. Try and keep busy (easier said than done I know), but personally I'd get a FRER to test in the meantime Xx

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking it’s like your body is trying to torture you! They are usually 31 days but i think I ovulated late this month so might only be 11 DPO but I’m not sure. Yes I’m trying to keep my mind distracted! Some days I can do it quite well and other days I can’t help but obsess over it xx

@Tara1711 ah well if potentially only 11dpo then it could definitely still be that faint! The waiting game is such a bitch but at least you should know either way by Christmas...not too much longer! Good luck xx

Morning lovelies, so I did a cheapie hcg and a FRER this morning as it's my AF due date and 5 days since my last FRER and fortunately both tests had a nice bold line 😅 I finally feel a bit excited 🤗 and really want to share the news with my mum and sister (we're really close), but every time I go to message them, the thought of a repeat mc holds me back. Which is silly really as I know that if I DO miscarry, I'll tell them! 🤦🏼‍♀️ So I thought I'd ask what you do/did/plan to when you have your bfp? Do you manage to keep it secret until the 12 week scan? No right or wrong answer - I'm just curious!xx

I told everyone with my first soon as I found out. She was a surprise. I wouldn't do it again. I'd wait. Only because I wouldn't want to get bombarded again 😂 no one would leave me alone when I told them and it was 9 months of being told what to do and not to do 🤔

Anyone else 8dpo? Finding it hard to resist testing but know it’s too early!

Morning ladies hope you are ok! Thank you @SunnydazeQ @SRyellow and @Dogmum13 for your lovely messages after my rant the other day. Im Cd32 and 12dpo today. Im so sorry for tmi but something strange is going on. Thought AF was on her way, felt very crampy and started spotting earlier this week. Well AF hasn't really started properly.... im just getting very very dark brown spotting for the past few days but haven't started a proper flow and its been about 4 nearly 5 days of this on and off. I took a CB test early detection yesterday and today and thought I saw a faint line but don't know whether I just have line eyes. Usually days 1 and 2 of AF are horrendous very heavy flow and painful. Usually if I do get pre spotting AF it lasts 2 days max. Am I going crazy?! I keep telling myself that AF will probably just show up properly like any minute. Xxx

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking I’m exactly the same, I don’t know what to do either. I got another good line on the easy@home test yesterday, but my AF is due on Sunday so I won’t feel any sort of confidence in the BFPs until a few days after. But my mum is coming to stay on Monday until Wednesday and I’m wondering if I should tell her. She doesn’t know we’ve been ttc but I think she’ll guess when she notices me not drinking alcohol or coffee etc, so I’m thinking should I just tell her? If she wasn’t visiting I would probably wait a bit longer but I don’t think I could wait til the 12 week scan!

@gracie2307 sorry you’re going through that, the waiting and not knowing is awful. Personally I think that fact that it’s still spotting and more importantly that’s it’s brown and lasting longer than it usually does is a good sign that it’s not AF, but I totally get why you feel like you’re going crazy! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that AF doesn’t show up 🤞🏻

@SRyellow if it helps you to resist testing, I tested on 8dpo and kind of wish I hadn’t because this feels like the longest wait til my AF date ever! I wish I’d waited until maybe 2 days before AF at the earliest and that way if it was a BFP it would only be a few more days of torture waiting to see if it is chemical or not. I feel like the earlier I know about it the more upset I will be if AF turns up. So I say try and hold out (but I know the temptation is impossible to resist during some cycles!)

My AF is due tomorrow! Had some period type cramps this morning but they've just gone off. Feel slightly nauseous but think it's in my head. I haven't tested today. I've had BFNs the previous days I've tested and I didn't want to see another. Hope everyone is okay.

That's great news @BubsNumber2inTheMaking! With DC1 we told parents quite early like 4 weeks and then siblings around 8 weeks after an early scan. Told friends from 10 weeks or so- think I had to tell mine as I was going on a hen do. We didn't make any kind of 'big' announcement though until 20 weeks.
My DSis is currently pregnant with DC1 and didn't tell any of us until she had had her 12 week scan! I actually don't know how she kept it a secret!
Whatever you decide to do will be the right choice and people will be absolutely thrilled for you.

I need some advice on OPKs.
So usually I get ovulation pains on CD17 and a line on my OPKs from CD15/16.
This month- in my desperation to hit lucky, I started OPKs from start of my fertile week (as predicted by ovia app).
So far my OPK results have been:
CD12- V faint line. tested around 4-5pm
CD14- V faint line. tested around 4-5pm
CD 15 (today) no line at all tested 12pm

And now I'm having a panic I've missed my bloody slot! Usually I get lots of EWCM around CD16 and 17- and it's only today that's started up.
Do you think no line today because I've tested earlier than usual time wise?

Hi @Sunflowers81 how are you? Im so sorry to hear you are bleeding 😔 have you spoken to a doctor or early pregnancy unit to get checked out? Im ok, I took a FRER and its negative so I'm assuming my spotting/bleeding is AF related. Xx
