Hey @ButterscotchBabe! Continuing our chat here 😁

I loooove that your temps did exactly what mine did too. So good that AF hasn't arrived at CD26!! Happy for you! When your temps increased last month, was it is to a gradual high or did it jump up again and then AF started? Because if this pattern is new, it could mean good news!

Ours definitely look like the beginning of a triphasic chart. My temps last month started dropping at 7DPO, so it still being high at 9DPO is such an achievement for me and no sign of AF either although my vulva feels AF'y in a weird way. My pulse and breathing rate have also continued to shoot up!! If temps don't tell you AF is coming, pulse rate defo will because it always starts falling a few days before AF for me.

I do suspect chemical but no BFP so can't confirm and nothing else changed that cycle so I can't explain it. Hormones were defo the reason I never took the pill, it plays such a big part in changing your reproductive cycle that of course it would have an affect on cycles after you come off them! 45 day cycles sound like a nightmare - especially when TTC too.

I do have a FRER! I'm always so scared to use it though. I always use rubbish ICs which probably aren't the best thing but I will use my FRER with you!

I like predicting what my temps will do with DH. What do you think will happen tomorrow? I think both our temps will go up again 😆

That sucks! AF pain is the worst, but a longer LP and thicker endometrium sounds like progress. Silver linings 😊 how does this chart compare to previous one? Were your temps less or more stable?

How did your blood test go? Did you ask any questions while it was being done? And when are your scans booked in for? When is your next consultation? (sorry for the questions!)

10 years of fertility sounds like a long time until the years fly by and there's still no pregnancy. Thats my worst nightmare. I want 3 kids, I'll have to have them back to back (my body willing) but I agree, 35 would be where I really start to panic too. I'm really nervous about it not happening.

We'll get a professional in to do the painting. They're coming tomorrow. We've left our furniture partially dismantled and he'll just have to work around them. We slept on our sofabed last night as our bed is not completely built. I think by Friday our master bedroom will be complete. We have a double bed coming tomorrow too.

Yesterday we officially moved! It was busy but we're unpacking slowly. Kitchen/Dining room is almost done, living is looking good too. We'll probably spend the rest of the week putting things away and taking rubbish to the dump.

I took grey rabbit to the vets and paid £60 for them to tell me he's fine!! 😂 Right when we need the money!! But yeah, he's doing much better now. I think you were right the first time round. All the new changes, moving from enclosure to hutch to new house probably stressed him out and he just sat in his own poop all day, not cleaning himself. He seems to be adjusting slowing. His brother on the other hand, he's been bouncing around everywhere. We've had to block off under the sofas 😂 Good news is, white rabbit has stopped pooping and peeing everywhere and now goes inside his litter box. So he's been successfully trained! Yay!

Haha! Sorry about the sore legs. Are they better today? When squatting do you put all the weight on your toes or heels? Make sure you plant the heel of your feet on the ground, don't be tempted to put your body weight on your toes. The muscles at the back of your legs and bum will then do their work and you won't cause any damage to your knees. If you do lunges, do backward lunges. Again that should work the right muscles. I find with leg exercises my knees suffer loads but once done right, my glutes and hamstrings do get worked out.

All three bedrooms of the house are occupied. The main bedroom is mine and DHs, the second is full of built in wardrobes so there's no space and then the box room as the sofabed in it. I'll have to save up for an outdoor building to do my sewing in or do it in the dining room.

I've been eating terribly! 😭 I'm going to be so fat soon! Encourage meeee!

How's your week off going?

My temps were generally higher than previous cycles, so hopefully it's a sign things are moving in the right direction! Are you temping this cycle?

Blood test went well, I went to a blood clinic in the hospital so it was done by a phlebotomist, she just takes the blood and sticks a label on it, she's not a fertility specialist, so I didn't ask any questions. I'll need to go back in a couple of weeks to have the progesterone tests. Because of the awkward timings with my luteal phase, the consultant said I can have up to 3 tests, on different days so she can see a progression. However it's £45 a test, so I might just do two, maybe on 4DPO and 6DPO. I'm waiting for a letter from them to confirm my date for the scan and we're still waiting for the SA pot. Once they've both arrived then I'll enquire about the next consultation. Unfortunately things move a lot slower with the NHS, even though we're paying!

Hope the painting goes well today! Did you buy a new double bed for yourselves or as a guest bed? We need to buy a new bed, although I want a king size one as we both like to spread out 😂.

Yeh it's amazing how much rubbish builds up when you move! Also good excuse to have a clear out!

Aww that's a shame to have spent £60 but at least you have the peace of mind knowing he's okay 😊. That's great white rabbit is now going to the toilet where you want him too! Haha they'll probably find something else to hide under 😂. What are their names?

I must have injured my thigh muscles quite badly because they still hurt, particularly the left one. It's a little better this morning but yesterday I yelped when DP prodded my thigh (he thought it was a good idea to evaluate the damage by prodding the muscle 🙄). Gonna have to be much more careful with resistance training when they heal! I haven't thought about where I put my weight when doing squats, thanks for the tip I'll make sure weight is on the heels.

You need a 4 bed house already 😂. Which room would you make baby's room?

Oh no 😂 I've put back on some of the pounds I lost 😭. I've started following some models on Instagram for inspiration 😂. The Myfitnesspal app is really good for keeping an eye on your food intake. I find when I record it it's easier not to overeat, when I don't record it I just think, oh I'm sure that wasn't too many calories... 😂😂

Week off has been very lazy so far, finished the sleeves on the jacket which was challenging because they were too narrow to go around the sewing arm. Just need to hem the sides and bottom and finish the neck.

How is your af doing? What cycle day are you on? I'm on CD4 and mines got much lighter now.

Morning! I had such a busy day yesterday. Was up by 7am to let cleaners into the old property, then had to clear out all the remaining things and take them all to the dump (recycling centre), then went round shopping for more home stuff. Then went back to our old house to collect more stuff for the dump, went to the dump then came home and built a bed then fell asleep! So exhausting but I think today, we can finally relax, although there are things we still need to buy - like paint! Because we chose a wall colour that we thought would be off white with a tinge of grey but the whole wall looks very blue now! So now, we're going safe and painting it white 😂 I'd have to give you the grand tour later!

When you spoke to your consultant, did you tell her you were on the pill and did she mention anything about whether your body would ever get back to normal on its own. I'm just thinking, because you had higher temps and a longer LP, maybe your body is working things out on its own. I don't think this cycle I'm going to track. If I'm honest, I've been so busy I don't even know where in my cycle I am, I don't think temping will change anything 😂 but maybe I should, since I'll be taking the progesterone this cycle!

Oh that's really good that you have some things booked in. Your blood test results will probably come out fine. You're young so there's probably lots of eggs! And you're probably super fertile, minus the whole progesterone thing 😁 I think 4DPO and 6DPO are safe bets for your progesterone test. If you can afford to, 8DPO might be one to consider too.

Yeah, the bed we bought was a double for guests. Our bed is a king, which is great because we have a huge duvet and even if DH pulls it all away, I still have loads to cover with. We're currently sleeping with a double duvet and I have to curl up close to DH so that we can both be covered. I can't wait until we can unpack properly. Painters will come on Monday to turn our room white 😁

Oh, I thought you knew their names already! Guess I haven't told you. I'll tell you over private message, just because I have an instagram account for them 😂 But rabbits are adjusting well and apart from chewing on my cables and skirting boards, my house isn't a total wreck. Phew! They're confined to the living room.

Haha!! Oh dear! I hope your thigh is better now. It might be worth easing yourself into the workouts, especially if it's been a while since you've done leg exercises. The legs are the strongest part of a woman's body (childbearing requirements blah blah blah) so it feels like you can lift the whole world with them but a little will defo go a long way when starting out. Plus I find legs adjust and gain muscle much easier than other body parts so they'll probably get easier to work out very quickly.

Haha we do need more rooms already!! If we could do the side extension straight away, that would have been great! But we're so poor right now! For now, we'll make use of the rooms we have. Baby's room will probably be our room until we can build additional rooms. If not, once they're old enough to sleep in a bed then we'll just put them on the double in the current guest room. How many rooms do you have in your home? Will one be for your baby?

I did use myfitnesspal when DH and I had our personal trainer but I don't think I can go back to that level of food control. I haven't weighed myself in months because I'm scared of what the scales would say but I wore a crop top jumper yesterday and was pleasantly surprised that my belly wasn't bulging out 😂😂 What sort of things are you currently eating?

Back to work for both of us next week. Bleh! Have you been able to get a good rest at least? I wish I could say mine was relaxing but I'm glad I had some time off to sort the house out.

If you were on CD 4 on Thursday, then you're CD6 today, which means I must be CD8, I think?? I think AF ended on either CD3 or CD4. I wasn't really paying attention but CD1 was very heavy. My menstrual cup got filled up several times in the day. I'm thinking to book DH in for a SA as I can't see us conceiving this cycle. We haven't DTD since the middle of last cycle's LP! Hopefully we can finally have some time to ourselves.

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 14/03/2021 13:18

You've had a very busy week! Hope you've been able to relax a bit more over the weekend, do you feel ready to go back to work tomorrow? I don't, I want a another week off 😂. I have had a very relaxing week though 😊.

Ah that's annoying about the paint, at least if it's white you can use soft furnishings to add colour to the room. A grand tour would be lovely!

I didn't mention I was on the pill, I didn't want to risk her thinking my issues are just my body adjusting from the pill because I was unable to get pregnant before going on the pill. We did discuss my peritonitis, caused from burst appendix and she thinks there might be scarring on my ovaries or uterus but I would need a laparoscopy to investigate. So we'll discuss that further in the next appointment. You're 2 days ahead of me, I'm on CD7 so you're on CD9. You could start temping from tomorrow, it would be useful to compare temps with your progesterone this cycle.

Ah that's cool you have a king size bed! We're always fighting over space and the duvet 😂. DP tries to curl up to me but I push him off because I get too hot, I turn into a fireball when I sleep 😂🔥.

Aww that's cute you have an Instagram account for them and cool names! Oh dear, at least the rest of the house will be chew free 😂.

Legs are finally back to normal 😂 will definitely take it easier next time!

We have 4 bedrooms but it's a small bungalow, one bedroom is ours, the 2nd bedroom is our wardrobe and store room, the 3rd bedroom is our office and the 4th bedroom is full of furniture from DP's family. It's DP's Mum's house, complicated situation. We'd probably have to clear out the 4th bedroom to make room for baby.

Haha that's good you were happy in the crop top, I don't think I'd wear a crop top at the moment! I eat a whole range of things, if I'm having a good day I'll have something like - veggie sausage, egg, mushrooms and toast for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch and lean steak with veg for dinner.

Howcome you're thinking of doing another SA? Are you hoping there might be an improvement from last time? Don't give up on this cycle already! You could book the SA for after your fertile period?

Finished the practice jacket, going to take it to my Mum's today so she can try it on and I can see where I need to amend the pattern. I'm not very happy with it, it doesn't look professional, I definitely wouldn't buy it 😂😂. My sewing machine can do invisible stitching but I followed the instructions and couldn't work it out. It would have looked better with invisible stitching.

This whole house business has kept me so occupied. I haven't been on mumsnet! I'll have to start messaging you through social media if I start getting busy. DH and I did get to relax yesterday. It was our anniversary but I was sad because family started saying all that's left is for us to have kids but knowing it won't be easy for us upset me. Our new neighbour did deliver us some dessert he baked. We gifted both next door neighbours a bottle of champagne, a Greek Pythagoras cup and a card last week, so we're definitely building a relationship!

But good to hear your week off was worthwhile. How was you first day back? Today was pretty chill for me and I still had to run some house related errands. Also gave back the keys to our rental property as our tenancy is over now. I haven't really had time to think about how I feel about it but I suppose the feeling will be bitter sweet.

I love the new paint colour!! It's like an off-white with a green-ish/grey-ish hue. It's amazing!! I'll add you as a close friend on Instagram so you can see the videos I took today. It looks very grown up. It's so exciting. I even got down and dirty and used some filler to smooth out the wall in places. I'm happy!

Ah, that was definitely a smart thing to do. It'll make it less likely for your concerns to be dismissed. Would you likely go for a laparoscopy? You'd need surgery if you had scarring right? Could that be something you could get on the NHS?

I haven't really thought about my cycle. I'll probably end up missing ovulation the way things are going. DH and I still haven't DTD. I can't say I'm really in the mood either. Maybe a childless couple is what we're meant to be. I wouldn't want to waste the progesterone if there's no chance of DTD at the right time.

The thought of falling asleep in your other half's arms is so romantic but I hate being touched when sleeping too! Haha! We cuddle for a bit, then when it's time to sleep, we go our separate ways. And I'm a really hot sleeper too!!

Me and white rabbit fought today. I had to put him in time out. He managed to pull the wood barriers off the sofa and crawled under it. So troublesome!

Have you done anymore working out? Your diet sounds so sensible but cooking is such a chore. Do you do batch cooking or cook fresh daily?

Four bedrooms is awesome! Sounds like you have lots of space. Where would you put your DP's mum's furniture when you move it out? Will she ever move back in? Do you reckon when you have a baby your DP will sleep in a separate room for a few months?

It was the consultants suggestion to do another SA. Generally you can't get a complete picture from a single SA so they recommend you do more than one. I don't expect an improvement or a deterioration. The fact that I'm still not pregnant says enough.

Yaaaay!! Your jacket! I saw the pics on insta! It looks great! For a first attempt and self-drafted I think you should be really proud of yourself. What did your mum say about it? I hope she was impressed? It really does look great.

I've been incredibly busy at work this week, everyone seems to want everything at once! So I've hardly been on Mumsnet either!

That's annoying your family said that on your anniversary, you don't need that pressure! That's good you're getting to know the neighbours, what dessert did he make? What are your neighbours like, do you think you'll get on with them long term?

You're probably feeling a bit sad about leaving the rental property, especially if you liked living there and you are friends with the neighbours. But you'll soon come to love your house and make it your own home 😊.

I've attached my uneventful chart 😂, not expecting ovulation for another 5-7 days. You must be close to ovulation now?

The SA pot arrived so DP called the clinic and the earliest appointment they had for him to drop off the SA was 31st March. Bit annoying as I'd hoped it would be earlier, he can't ejaculate for 3 days before, so hopefully I'll ovulate early enough! When will you book the next SA for your DH?

Well done on the wall filler, I couldn't find the videos on your Instagram but I probably wasn't looking in the right place 😂, still a newbie! You look amazing in that red dress!

I'm pretty sure the laparoscopy would be on the NHS, yeh I would go for it if they offered it. The problem with scarring is that to remove it they'll need to cut it off, which means new scarring could then appear in its place. It will depend how much there is and where it is but I'd much rather fix the cause of my infertility that remain infertile and just work around it (IVF). Problem is an operation like that probably has a huge waiting list, especially with the way the NHS is at the moment.

It would be a shame to waste a cycle, you probably need to DTD around now and the next couple of days. Remember what you said to me a while back, don't worry about the romance, just get the deed done!

That was cheeky of the white bunny to get under the sofa! Hope no damage was caused!

Haven't done anymore working out 😕 we were thinking of getting up early and doing early morning walks but that will mean changing the time I take my temp. Have you been doing any workouts recently? Although you probably don't need to as you've been pretty busy lately!

I mostly cook daily but sometimes I'll make more than we need so we have leftovers. Just bought a food processor for the first time and made mackerel pate! Excited to make some more recipes! Have you got a food processor?

Unsure what we'd do with DP's Mums stuff, it's quite cramped here! 4 beds sounds a lot but all the rooms are small. It's unlikely she'll move back in any time soon. No DP will definitely be staying in our room, he's gonna be getting up and tending to baby 😂😂.

Aww thanks 😊 my Mum loved it, she was much happier with the jacket than I was 😂. Although it doesn't fit her as it was a practice one based on my sizes, so I need to make another now to fit her.

I'm glad I've had a chill week at work as it's given me a chance to do more unpacking/tidying up/arranging. Have you heard back about funding for your role?

I think I've missed ovulation 🙊 Yesterday (CD12) was the first time I checked CM and it was milky white in colour. Cervix is high and hard too. And DH and I still haven't DTD! So this month isn't happening unfortunately. I did go and collect my pessaries yesterday - cost me 20 quid 🙄 But I won't be taking them this cycle either. Maybe I'll start tracking next cycle as well. Haha you're right about us just getting the deed done! We would have yesterday but DH had already relieved himself because I blue-balled him 😂😂😂 We'll give it a go today just in case.

You've only DTD once this cycle as well! I wonder what's happening with us 😭 But at least you're still in for a chance! How often will you be DTD?

I can't remember what the dessert is called. But it was nice, and I'm not really a dessert person, so it was definitely really good for me to have liked it. Everyone in the neighbourhood that we have encountered have been lovely. It's really quiet and everyone keeps to themselves, so, so far so good! The neighbouring house we're attached to has a little girl, she seems around 2 years old. It's nice to know my kid will have a friend to play with. I just hope it doesn't take any longer so they can be close in age. Maybe they'll have a second kid 😁 I hope they do.

31st March will be CD24 for you, so you'll definitely have ovulated then. How's your DP feeling about it now that the reality is here? I think we'll book DH's SA for next month. Since it's Easter in a few weeks and we're still not pregnant and we definitely won't be this cycle, I think it's safe to book it in now 😅

Good news that any surgery would be on the NHS. Bad news about the potential waiting lists! However, best case scenario would be very little to no scarring, which is a possibility. You don't have any other symptoms of scarring minus not being able to get pregnant so it might be better than you think.

Haha thank you! I bought the dress for our pre-wedding photoshoot. It was on the same day I had my wedding makeup trial so my face was all done up. The video of the house is gone now. I posted it on my stories but 24 hours must have lapsed by the time you went to check. I'll have to share it with you.

Grrrr! White rabbit is so troublesome and I swear he's doing it on purpose. He chewed the corner of our very expensive sofa 😡 So we've caged them both in and they won't be let out unless we can supervise them. I'm so annoyed but it's our fault for thinking that rabbits wouldn't rabbit.

DH weighed himself and he's put on another 10kg! So he's started waking up early in the morning and going for long walks. I'm curious to see what his sperm are doing now and if any exist anymore 🤣 I also weighed myself for the first time in months and I've definitely put on weight but it could be worse, so phew! You could probably work out other parts of your body, like arms, back or abs?

Oh that's fancy. Mackerel Pate 🍴 We have a blender but not a food processor. I'm not so creative with food to make good use of one. What recipes are you thinking of making?

Haha even when he's working?? During his paternity leave, DH will definitely carry out his fatherly duties through the night but once he's back at work, he can sleep in the spare room and I'll do the nightly feeds and when he gets back from work in the evenings, he can take over while I rest.

See, I knew she'd like it. It's a real talent making something from scratch. She must have been really, really impressed!

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 19/03/2021 17:10

How's the unpacking going? I remember when we last moved our stuff stayed in boxes and bags for ages, took us forever to put it all away 😂. Not heard about my role yet, should know by the end of the month.

Oh no that's a shame if you've missed ovulation, you could take your temp tomorrow morning and if it's high then you know ovulation has definitely happened? My OPK was very negative today so I'm not expecting ovulation for another 3/4 days. Our cycles are drifting apart ☹️.

Do you have an Asda near you? Apparently Asda is the cheapest place to get fertility drugs, obviously it's too late now but if you get anymore. Annoyingly we don't have an Asda near us but I might have to drive to one if there's big cost savings!

Haha yeh I think knowing it's not gonna work is putting me off! We DTD yesterday to refresh his sperm before my fertile period 😂.

That's good the neighbourhood is quiet and cute that there's a little girl next door. Most people have more than 1 child so chances are they'll have another! One benefit to it taking longer to conceive, is that your kids will be closer in age to their cousins. That's what I tell myself anyway!

I think DP is feeling okay about the SA now, we spoke about it last night and I'm gonna help him 😊. I think he was a bit worried about getting it in the pot because the first bit that comes out has the most sperm, so you have to aim right! Will you be booking anymore investigations now you're close to Easter? I definitely think you should get the ball rolling with your GP, just make sure you say you've been trying for a year.

I have very painful ovulation which could be a sign of scarring on the ovaries but yeh it's just an unknown unless I have that op.

Oh no! Unfortunately you can't really stop rabbits chewing, is the damage to your sofa repairable? Could they maybe just be let out in the kitchen?

Oh no lol is he gonna make some diet changes? Good that he's getting up early for long walks. That would be interesting to do another SA to compare with last time! DP is naturally quite thin, he can eat whatever he wants and never puts on weight, it's so unfair 😭😂😂. He's making cakes right now 🙄...

Yeh I need to put more effort into exercising, waiting for the weather to get better! Do you have space to work out inside?

I'm not sure yet, so far I've just been playing around with it, chucking random things together and seeing how it turns out 😂. Yesterday I blended greek yoghurt, banana and whey protein powder. It went liquidy because the blade must have chopped up the molecules, so I froze it and now it's like a frozen banana dessert. DP says it's gross 😂😂.

Ah I hadn't thought about when DP returns to work, hmmm I guess we'll have to see what happens! He'll probably want to stay in the bedroom with us but may change his mind if he can't get any sleep 😂.

www.minerva.com/mp/1057518/viscose-challis-fabric-cherry-on-navy&variant=1057086

I ordered this fabric a little while ago in pink and blue (the blue option isn't currently available). Once I've finished Mums jacket I'm gonna make a couple of summer outfits with this fabric 😊. I'm thinking one short, one long, so maybe a maxi dress and a playsuit 😎.

unCliche · 22/03/2021 10:23

My laptop charger stopped working 😔 I feel like I buy a new one every 3 months. So annoying!

Unpacking is alright. We still have lots of boxes in the garage that we'll need to eventually unpack. Once the study is done up, we'll be able to put the things in those boxes in there.

We're expecting at least £2k back from our previous estate agents, some of it will be the deposit we paid and the rest will be the excess rent we paid for this month, so we'll do more work on the house with that. My car insurance has gone down to £600 (I was expecting £1000) so I'll have some spare money to hand once I've paid my insurance for the year in April. Our water bill has come up to £55 a month (~£600 a year.) I'm shocked and refuse to pay that because WTF?? It's double what we were paying at the old place!! What do your bills look like?

I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated or if I've ovulated! I had EWCM (I think) on Saturday and DH and I DTD on Friday and Saturday. I had a lot of ovulation pain those two days as well, but I still don't think I've ovulated. It's really hard to tell with my CM. So I have no idea where I am in my cycle right now. How are your OPKs and temps? Are you close to ovulating now? Our cycles may not be so far apart 😊

Apparently there are two Asdas in Reading. I've never been to them but if they prove cheaper, I'll also have to consider them! How far away is your closest Asda?

Haha if it takes me another 5 years to conceive, then maybe my middle sis and I will have kids the same age but no way am I waiting 5 years! 😂DH reckons it's solely because of his low sperm count that we're not conceiving but I feel like that can't be all, right? And since there is sperm we must still be in for a chance? I think it's easier for me to blame myself because then at least I'd feel like I could do about it since it's my own body. What would you do if you were fine but your DP had low sperm count?

Haha you're going to help him with his SA 😂😂😂 I wonder how 🤔😂😂😂 That's lovely either way. Make it a team effort. DH and I need to register to a nearer GP but I also worry that because DH's BMI is over 30 they won't let us start investigations until he loses weight and he has about 3 stone to lose to go from obese to overweight. But if his weight is the only thing holding us back, then maybe we still have a chance? Once it's been a year for you, will you get in contact with your GP?

The damage on the sofa could definitely be worse. You can't really see it but knowing it's there is annoying. White rabbit has started doing this thing where he sits there and starts staring at me, and he'll stare for ages. it's basically his way of begging for food 😂I can't leave them in the kitchen because there's fur literally flying everywhere in here. Would you ever get a dog? If I can't conceive I think I'll get a dog as a substitute baby. At least they can show love.

How were your DP's cakes? Delicious? DH bought a lemon sponge cake and it's so yum but I feel so fat eating all this crap! I'm jealous of people with the ridiculously skinny gene 😭 Did you do much working out over the weekend? The sun is shining and I feel like working out outside! Time to get sexy again.

Haha did it taste gross? We have a little smoothy blender which we used to make healthy stuff with. But we haven't used it for a while now. I've been selling a lot of my old things on facebook marketplace and I sold my old blender to a family yesterday. I don't know why, but it made me feel good. Usually people want to find a good bargain but I feel like they needed something functional that was well priced or maybe it's just my prejudices judging them without knowing them 🤷‍♀️ Do you sell your old things?

Oh that fabric is very pretty. They'd look gorgeous with what you've planned for them! Did you do any sewing over the weekend? My sewing stuff is still packed away!

OP posts:

That will be nice for you to get some money back from the rented place and awesome your car insurance has come down! Your new house must be in a safer area? Our water bill is £50-£55 a month, yours must have been very cheap in your old place?!

No ovulation yet for me, my OPK was at 55% this morning so I think I'll get my peak either this evening or tomorrow. Will need to do my progesterone tests soon, I'll probably go on Monday and Wednesday which will either be 5&7DPO or 4&6DPO, depending on when I ovulate.

Ah that's good that you're possibly still in with a chance this cycle! I wonder if the cm you saw before was creamy because you hadn't ovulated yet, rather than because ovulation had passed? Have you had anymore EWCM?

It's most likely a mix of your DH's low sperm count and your low progesterone. It might be good for you to try clomid, which you can ask your private consultant to prescribe. That should improve your egg quantity/quality and progesterone levels. If DP has a low sperm count then we'll probably go straight for ICSI.

Haha 😂😂 well if I help and then aim it wrong and it misses the pot, he can blame me 😂. The GP should still do investigations for you both, I think it's just IVF that you have to meet strict criteria. Also you can give a lower weight than he actually is, they can't weigh him at the moment 😂. Our consultant said if we need IVF they can quite easily swap us over to NHS funding, so we probably won't need to contact the GP again as we're paying for all the investigations.

Oh no, you don't want fur balls in food 😂😂. If we couldn't conceive we'd probably adopt, not sure about getting a dog, I don't wanna pick up dog poo 😕. Puppies are very cute though!

Yes DP's cakes were lovely, didn't last long! Ooh I could eat lemon sponge cake right now 😋😋. Haha yeh me too, I hope our kids pick up his skinny gene! Yes I was in the garden on Sunday doing another work out, did a mix of cardio and resistance training, legs are still sore but not quite a bad as last time! Did you manage to do a work out?

It didn't taste too bad but I've learned how to make better yogurt combinations now! Always good to have a clear out and get paid for it! I haven't sold anything in a long time, normally we cba and just ended up chucking stuff!

Didn't do any sewing at the weekend but I'll have to this weekend as my Mum is waiting for her jacket. You'll have to unpack your sewing stuff and we can make some chic summer outfits! 👗

Hmm I do wonder how much of an impact the new address has had on my car insurance, especially since I now have driveway parking. I can't imagine it would be £300-£400 worth of savings though. 😱😱 Your water bill is expensive. At the other place it was about £30 a month! I even called up Thames Water to complain about the extortion! 😂 Apparently they calculate it based on the house size so since you live in a 4 bed house, they probably think you have a million people living there and charge that amount! DH doesn't want us to get a water metre either so £55 it is 😠

Have you gotten your +ve OPK yet? Your FP temps seem really steady this cycle. Are you doing or taking anything? Oooo! It'll be interesting to compare progesterone results! Do you know when you'll get your results back?

My CM this cycle has been super weird and not very usual for me. Before ovulation, my CM is usually just sticky. This cycle, it seems to have been milky. Then during my FW, it goes clear watery then I have plenty of clear EWCM but this cycle, I had milky watery then EWCM textured CM that was creamy-ish in colour. Then after I ovulate, I get loads of creamy CM. This cycle, CM is scarce and a mix of sticky/creamy. So I'm finding it difficult to pinpoint where I am in my cycle. But I'll assume I ovulated either Saturday or Sunday (CD15/CD16) 🤷‍♀️ I think the vitamins gave me loads of EWCM because now I barely get it.

ICSI is more expensive than normal IVF. If his swimmers swim well then ICSI won't be necessary anyway so you could probably save some money there. If his swimmers are very few and immotile then that's probably where you'd need ICSI. But your DP is fit and healthy so he shouldn't have any problems there! Luckily, you'll have ovulated by the time he needs to abstain. Will you be getting his SA results back at the same time as your progesterone results?

😂😂😂 Lie about DH's weight?? They'll see he's not a skinny man! Could I really says he's 3 stone lighter than he really is? If I was 3 stone lighter, I'd be anorexic 😂😂😂 You're lucky you went to an NHS clinic, it's probably more straightforward for you to transfer. I'll have to speak to my consultant to see if the same can happen for us. They only fund one cycle of IVF in Berkshire 😭😭😭😭 However, they don't mention anything about the male's weight.

Haha adopting a human would probably be better than adopting a dog 😂 I'm not really a dog person but they seem so cuddly and needy 💕 I just want a real life human baby to fuss over 😭 Would you ever consider the sperm donor route? I wouldn't want anyone else's baby but DH's.

Nope, I still haven't started exercising. I'm just a bit lazy!! Do you only do leg workouts?

I just hope summer isn't cancelled again so that you can debut your outfits to the world! I have a really plain but pretty fabric that I have ideas for and it would be great for summer. Maybe I can set up my sewing table in my bedroom although I don't think DH would like that. We just need to save lots of money so we can buy an outbuilding and turn it into a hobby room!

So I found out today that I've been offered the permanent position in our team 😀😀🥂

Got my peak today on OPK so looks like ovulation will be tomorrow! Also received a letter from the clinic with a date for my ultrasound scan. It's 13th April, so I'll be around CD9, I was hoping I'd be further along in my cycle so that they might see a follicle growing! Do you remember where you were in your cycle when you had your scan?

I'm not really doing anything different this cycle, still taking the folic acid and Vit D but not anything else. Yes it will be interesting to compare results! Well they haven't sent me a letter for my next consultation so I'll probably have to call to find out the results and then make an appointment to discuss next steps.

That's strange your cm has been so different this cycle, it might be worth doing BBT and OPKs next cycle so that you don't have to rely on cm to work out what's going on. So you must be around 4DPO now? Have you got your usual symptoms, sore boobs?

Yeh we'll only do ICSI if his sperm aren't good, if the sperm are good then we'll try clomid. I'll probably have to call a day after the SA and ask for the results of all our tests, I hope our next consultation isn't another 6 week wait because I can't get clomid until we've discussed results with the consultant.

Haha I meant you could give a lower weight and then your DH could work on losing the weight, so that by the time they saw him he might be at the weight you gave? That said his weight might not be an issue, if the guidelines don't state the male needs to be within a certain weight range then it might be fine. I think their more concerned about the females weight. Oww that's rubbish they only fund 1 cycle, I think it's the same here. It's so unfair because some areas fund 3!!

Unsure about a sperm donor, fingers crossed DP's sperm are fine but I wouldn't rule it out, it would be better than adopting. You won't need a sperm donor, your DH's sperm are good! But worse case scenario you could have ICSI.

I try and work out all areas of my body but my legs seem quite strong when exercising, however a couple of days later they're in loads of pain! Whereas my arms for example will wear out quite quickly so I can't overdo it.

Aww you'll have to find a home somewhere for sewing! Maybe in the kitchen/dining area? That's where I sew 😂

We have a water meter so we only pay for what we use. South West Water must be much more pricey than Thames Water!

Woooooo!! Great news! Congrats girl! I knew you could do it! Have you celebrated? I'll have to raise a glass for you this evening.

Happy ovulation day! We're so far apart now! 😣CD9 should still be able to show a growing endometrium lining and maybe some growing follicles too. When I had my scan, I was on CD15 and just about to ovulate so we could see the dominant follicle at its full size and then I ovulated that evening. Will it be an internal or external scan or both? I had a wand thing stuck up me.

They'll probably send you a letter again with your results but calling them should definitely get you a quicker response. I don't think you'd need a consultant to tell you the results, you'll probably only need one to explain it. Not long now for your DP's SA. Is he still feeling calm about it?

I'm 5/6DPO today. Yesterday I had terrible ovarian pain. I think my corpus luteum cyst must be huge or something because the area is really tender to touch. I'm in pain now and I don't know why it's so painful this cycle. My boobs and nipples aren't sore at all - not even a little bit. We shall find out by the end of today (assuming 5DPO) if I'll be getting sore boobs this cycle - or maybe sore ovaries is my body's chosen PMS symptom of the month.

It'll be terrible if you had to wait months for another consultation, especially since you're paying! Fingers crossed for an expedited service. They'll definitely be loads to talk about when you start taking clomid and I take progesterone. The symptoms will be interesting 😅

Phew! Good thing my BMI is 22 because then I don't really have to do anything but be infertile 😂 Male obesity is just as detrimental on fertility as female obesity though so it's kind of unfair that everything falls on the woman! Patriarchy suck! Nothing can ever be men's fault or men's responsibility. Ugh! It's so annoying only having one funded cycle! What are you meant to do if it doesn't work??? What if you can't afford IVF, you'll just be childless forever??

I'd love a child regardless of how or where they come from but I think it would take some mental adjustment to get over a sperm donor. Some people even get donor embryos which must mean both egg and sperm isn't theirs! If you had spare embryos from IVF would you donate yours or would you ever accept one for yourself?

Yeaaah! Legs are very strong! That's why they're so easy to overwork! You need to be careful so you don't cause damage to yourself. I keep saying I should work out but then don't do anything about it and I just keep eating! 😂😂 Uncliche the fatty!

Dining room is why DH works from but I think if I mount some floating shelves in the study, I can store my machines on them and just bring them out when I need them and then the desk can double up as an office/sewing table.

😱😱😱 You're paying £55 for the two of you WITH a water meter????? Ok your area is defo expensive!

Some annoying lady at work yesterday decided to question what I do and basically implied I'm not doing my job 🙄 I should have told her since she knows what I'm supposed to be doing, maybe she should come and do the job herself instead. Either way, I told my boss about her.

Also, neighbourhood drama 😂Early last week, the plasterers were emptying dirty buckets of water down the alleyway which left plaster residue on the ground there. This week when they returned to do the painting, we had two old ladies from two of the houses knock on our door. I thought they were coming to say hello and introduce themselves but no. They proceeded to complain about what the plasterer did and how there was CCTV evidence of him doing it and that they shouldn't be doing it. The plasterers were in the upstairs bedroom and they started arguing with her out the window and said they'd go and clean but the lady said she'd already cleaned it herself so basically she just wanted something to complain about considering the plasterers hadn't even gone to that alleyway this week. I shut the door on them and left them to their arguing. I can't believe they waited a whole week for the plasterers to return so that they could have a go! They had energy for a fight but no energy to say hello and welcome us to the neighbourhood. F'ing nuisances. Coming to my door shouting at me 🙄

ButterscotchBabe · 27/03/2021 10:10

Haha thanks, I did have a few drinks last night but the excitement has kinda passed. It would have felt like a celebration if I'd been told shortly after the interview but knowing I came 3rd and then for the past few weeks knowing I 'might' be offered a role, kinda took the excitement out of it.

Not sure exactly when I ovulated, I think it was overnight between CD18 & CD19. Although I've had no ovulation pain which is unusual, the last few cycles ovulation pain has been quite significant! Bit concerned my last two temps haven't hit 36.6, that's not a good sign, probably means I'll end up with another short LP.

I'm not sure what type of scan I'll get but I guess it would be internal as they'll be able to see more that way! Yeh I think DP is still feeling okay about the SA, we need to DTD tomorrow and then can't again until after he's provided the sample on Wednesday.

So your 6/7DPO today, now in the implantation zone! How are your boobs today? That will be very interesting if you got ovulation pain and no sore boobs, the complete opposite of what normally happens!

Oh gosh yes with the fertility drugs we'll definitely get lots more symptoms! Are you gonna do your second progesterone test this cycle? If so you'd probably need to do it today?

That's good your BMI is within the healthy range 😊. I guess it's more important for the female to be healthy because our bodies do most of the work! Normally one IVF cycle would also include freezing any additional embryos, so that if the first cycle failed they would fund FET until you got pregnant or the embryos ran out. The worry is if you didn't get any embryos from the first cycle, then you'd have to pay to try again. Yes it is very unfair to those who can't afford it ☹️. I think the NHS should fund whatever it takes to enable a couple to have their first child.

That's a difficult one, I don't think I would like someone else giving birth to mine and DP's child. I'm sure we'll never be in a position where we can't use either of my eggs or DP's sperm. Would you consider donating your eggs? My clinic basically does IVF for free if you donate eggs.

😂😂😂 I've only been working out about once a week and then eating for the rest of it! DP keeps telling me it's my turn to make cakes!

Do you work on the dining table as well or do you have a separate area?

What a bitch! Was she a customer or a colleague? Hopefully your boss was on your side.

Oh no, that's not nice to experience when you've just moved to a new area! They could have politely asked for it to be cleaned up, I don't get why they cleaned it themselves and then moaned about it?! Also the CCTV evidence is irrelevant, I don't think what they did was illegal. Hopefully you won't bump into them too often! Was your DH at home when this happened?

Aw! It's still a good thing that's happened. I get why it sucks knowing you weren't their first choice but at least you weren't their last! Plus it doesn't change the fact you got the job you wanted! So once again, well done and congratulations! You beat a lot of people and made it to the top 3 👏👏👏

Is your time to ovulation getting longer? You used to mostly ovulate around CD16. Anyway, the time you take to ovulate doesn't really matter when you ovulate every month anyway! Our bodies are being so weird this cycle! Without the pain, do you know which side you ovulated on? Your charts looks alright though. Stable FP temps and rising LP temps. Maybe it'll just take longer to reach 36.6 but you'll have another longer LP.

Good thing you ovulated before you had to stop DTD! Defo better timing than me and DH not being able to DTD during a crucial moment in my cycle 😂 I'll have to strategically book the next SA in. Maybe for during my LP.

Boobs are painless so I'm wondering if I even ovulated. I keep jiggling them to see if I can feel any pain but nothing and CM has been very scarce so hard to tell what's happening. Oh well, I'd already counted this cycle out so I'm not expecting anything. Thankfully my ovaries have stopped hurting now.

I feel bad for those who can't get pregnant with IVF on the NHS 😟 more needs to be done to help them. So I definitely agree that the NHS should fund however many tries it takes. Does your NHS have age limits for IVF ? Many women don't start trying until after 35 and by then it's too late for them to get IVF on the NHS if they can't conceive 😟😟 they should increase it to 40.

I don't think I could donate my eggs. Just the knowledge that I could have a child out there. I'm not sure how I'd feel. It's a tricky one. But at the same time, we know what it's like to struggle conceiving, I'd love to give someone the joy of pregnancy. Would you do it for free IVF?

Haha! Once a week is better than nothing! Maybe you can make some sugar free cakes. Then you'll feel justified only working out once a week 😂 if I'm honest, that is more than enough exercise anyway 😂😂 I joined DH on his walk yesterday and today. So tiring.

I currently work from the living room on the sofa but I'm building a fold down table for the office so it can go down when the sofa bed comes out. Where do you work from?

She's a colleague. My boss was very diplomatic in his response 😂😂😂 but I wouldn't expect anything else.

Yeah DH was home. We both rolled our eyes at each other and went back to work. Nothing was illegal. They're just old, nosy and bored.

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 27/03/2021 17:36

So the earliest I've ovulated is CD15, I've had a CD16 and a few CD17's but it does seem to be getting later, last cycle it was CD20! At least the eggs have definitely had enough time to mature but it's annoying having a longer cycle. So this is the first time I don't know which side I've ovulated on, yesterday I got a very quick sharp pain on the left but then today I've had some very mild twinges on the right. So could be either 🤷. Normally I get a lot of pain on one side that lasts days, so it's really obvious which side ovulated. There's also the possibility I haven't ovulated.

Yeh I was worried if I had a late ovulation it might be too close to his SA! It's probably best if you book it in for when your af arrives, if you plan for your LP and then ovulate late, it could get too close!

I have seen some ladies on here saying they normally got boob pain but didn't in the cycle they got their BFP, so there is hope! Of course could just be symptoms up to there usual tricks!

Just read the CCG criteria for Devon, the female must be under 40 and have a BMI between 19-30, the male BMI under 30. They fund 1 IVF cycle and 1 frozen embryo transfer (FET). It also says patients can be referred sooner than 1 year if they are 36 or older, or if they have existing known factors that affect fertility. Which I do because of the peritonitis, so it was wrong of the GP I spoke to, to refuse to refer me until we'd been trying a year 😠. It also said for IVF the couple need to have been trying for 2 years, unless there are known factors that make becoming pregnant naturally impossible. So when you go to your GP it might be worth saying you've been trying for a year and a half! Definitely check the full details of what your area will fund.

I don't feel comfortable donating my eggs, I think we'd only consider it if we ran out of money. But even then I'd hate it if someone else had my baby and I couldn't have one.

Sugar free cakes 😱😱 they wouldn't be worth making 😂😂.

I sit at a desk in our office, I connect my laptop to a monitor which makes it much easier to see. I'm sat on a dining chair though which hurts my back after a few hours. How comfy do you find it working on the sofa? Yeh that would be good if you could create a table to work off.

That's awful, I hope you told her where to stick her unwarranted opinions! I think sometimes male Managers don't quite understand how women can be towards each other.

I wonder if those old women have caused hassle for anyone else in the neighborhood. You know if you ever have a party, they'll be the first ones to complain!

ButterscotchBabe · 28/03/2021 12:32

My temps are so rubbish FF hasn't picked up ovulation. Something's clearly gone wrong this cycle! How you doing today? Anymore symptoms?

9DPO Symptom Spotting
unCliche · 28/03/2021 13:51

Really strange about your temps, but it could be a really slow rise. You have the usual post-ovulation creamy CM so that's at least one good sign. Maybe keep taking OPKs just in case you haven't ovulated yet though. Are you still feeling ovarian twinges? Hmm, CD19 and then CD20 ovulation - it's definitely getting longer. Maybe your body is finally settling down after the pill, especially as your LP was longer last cycle.

I finally got sore boobs yesterday evening, so I'm assuming I ovulated CD16 (and not on CD14/CD15 when I was getting the ovarian pain) and assuming yesterday was 6DPO, so today I could be 7 - 9DPO! I haven't really thought about doing the progesterone test, I think I'll leave it for when I'm actually paying attention to my cycle.

Yeah, it'll be safer booking the SA for when AF is due as then he can save up as much semen as possible. They recommended not ejaculating for 2-5 days and we only did a 2 day break so this time I'll aim for at least 4 days.
And now it's time for your DP to abstain! A few more days to go. At least you can start to feel that something is happening!

Ok, so they take male BMI into consideration where you are. I wonder why there's such a nationwide discrepancy in rules. I like that the age limit is 40 though, much better for the older ladies who'll be feeling like they're running out of time. It might be worth going back to your GP and showing them the guidelines. You may find that you can get all your treatment on the NHS once your GP is aware. Sad that it's 2 years of trying to be eligible for IVF - it's the same in Berkshire. I haven't reached the one year stage and I'm already fed up 😂

Right?? How horrible would it be if someone else had your child while you still struggled to conceive one. Nightmare!

Haha there must be some sugar substitutes you can use for cakes. Like agave nectar or something. This recipe uses something called Xylitol.

Sofa working isn't very comfy. My knees start feeling achy and I'd prefer to be able to stretch them out but it's harder with a laptop in your lap. When your DP starts working, which room would he use?

This is the first time we've ever spoken so I was a bit taken aback. I have no intention of ever talking with her again. Anything she wants to say, she can put it in an email or go through my boss. Do you have any terrible colleagues?

Ha! Probably! 😂 I'll make a good show of having a good time and pretend I can't hear when the doorbell rings 😂

How's your weekend going?

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 28/03/2021 18:41

I think a lack of ovulation pain and low temps means ovulation hasn't happened properly. I put creamy cm for today but it was a mix between creamy and watery, more like milky. I've done another OPK today and it was negative. No more twinges today, although the ones yesterday were only very mild. Probably a good cycle to have the progesterone tests, I think they'll definitely come back low. Gonna go on Tue and Thu, so that will be 4/5DPO and 6/7 DPO.

DP has his SA on Wed, so on Fri I'm gonna call the clinic and ask for all the results of the tests we've had.

That's good your sore boobs have started, at least you know things are still working! So you're around 4 days ahead of me, as you have longer luteal phases, our cycles might end up closer on the next one! Yeh probably best to leave the progesterone test for when you definitely know the date of ovulation, or you might get an inaccurate result.

I've never made a cake with sweeteners instead of sugar, have you? Just thinking it might taste a bit odd but maybe worth a try!

Hmm yeh you definitely want to make your work space as comfortable as possible, you don't want to end up with back ache or eye/neck strain. It might be worth taking it in turns with your DH to use the dining table. DP will work in the office with me, it's only an issue if we're both on the phone, which luckily doesn't happen too often!

Will you have to have dealings with that woman again or is she someone you can largely ignore? Yes there's a horrible woman in my team, our organisation is tough on bullying so she's very sly, calculated and untrustworthy. She keeps trying to undermine me but she wasn't successful at securing the permanent role 😂😂. Unfortunately my boss has extended her temporary contract as there's still lots of work to do.

Weekend is going okay thanks, I seem to have got into the habit of having lazy weekends! Have you been up to much?

Restrictions are loosened tomorrow and allow 6 people to meet outdoors, are you planning on meeting anyone? We haven't got any plans yet but we'll go to the pub when they open on 12th April 😊.

9DPO Symptom Spotting
unCliche · 29/03/2021 10:19

How are your temps today? Did they get any higher? An anovulatory cycle would be unfortunate and if that is the case, then good timing having your appointment right around the corner. You can ask about it and it will also add to your case for clomid. Definitely a good cycle for that progesterone test. It might be your lowest progesterone levels yet, which again would add to your case for clomid!

I'm looking forward to this week for you! It's definitely a busy one but it's the start of a step in the right direction. Hopefully you can get all your results at the end of the week. Just be mindful it's a bank holiday on Friday so they might be really busy due to less staff or something.

I think AF will be starting soon for me. Every time I wipe, there's always some EWCM on the tissue so my progesterone must be tanking in preparation for AF. Today is CD24 and my cycle averages 25/26 days so I'll be starting any day now. It feels like such a quick cycle! I guess because it's been a busy month for me. Even though I didn't do much this cycle, I think I'd still be sad if AF came.

Sweeteners do have a weird taste, almost artificial (since they are 😂) I'd probably try to find something natural before trying the artificial. Sometimes I make pancakes with honey. It takes a lot to make them sweet though!

Ah, DH and I couldn't work in the same room. He's always on the phone. Plus his work voice annoys me so much. I don't want him in the living room either because he tends to eat where he works and then plates, mugs, cups, cutlery and crumbs start piling up! I'd rather he made his mess on the dining table. Do you and your DP eat all meals together?

Yeah, she is someone I can mostly ignore, thankfully! Ha! I want to say poor woman but it looks like the better person got the job! Well done 😂 At least you know her time at the company is numbered, even if her contract has been extended. Plus you're clearly better at what you do than she is so obviously she hasn't been able to undermine you 😁

Lazy weekends here too! It is kind of hard to find new things to do though 😅 but I don't mind! I like lazy. We have another trip planned to the recycling centre for Thursday so we'll finally be able to get rid of the rest of the mess and make our house tidier. We also have clothes piling up so I'll need to get one with the laundry. How do you guys split up chores?

We're hoping my family can visit this weekend, although I don't expect it will be outdoors - too cold for that. I might reach out to friends as well to see if we can meet up or something. I really want to host someone/people in the new house! DH is having a boys night here this week but I'm not invited because I'm a girl. #EverydaySexism. I told him to take the rabbits since they're boys too. Did you ever host gatherings before covid?

OP posts:
ButterscotchBabe · 29/03/2021 20:03

Temp was low this morning so I've definitely not ovulated, no idea if my af will still come at the usual time. Can you get a period if you haven't ovulated?? Yep my progesterone levels will definitely be low but this is unusual, so I don't want them to think this cycle is the norm, or they may not bother with other investigations.

That's a good point about bank holiday, I hadn't thought of that!

Try not to feel too sad if af arrives, keep your spirits high and look forward to the bank holiday weekend 🥂🌞😎. Are you gonna use your progesterone prescription next cycle? I think you should, it might be just the help you need!

Haha! That's funny your DH's work voice annoys you 😂. When DP is on the phone he's really loud and I'm only sat a meter away from him, so that can get annoying 😂. Yeh most the time we eat together, because the kitchen table is being used for sewing and the dining table is being used as a desk, we eat on the sofa. There's probably loads of crumbs under the cushions!

That will be nice once you've dropped off stuff at the recycling center, is it mostly boxes from the move or have you had a clear out of things? Always feels better after having a clear out 😊. With chores DP does the laundry and washing up, I do the cooking and we both do the cleaning. Does your DH do his equal share around the house?

Be careful neighbours don't see you letting family/friends inside, if anyone reports you, you could end up with a fine. Lol well he can't not invite you as you'll be in the house! Yeh we've hosted a few gatherings, hopefully we'll be able to this summer. It's my Dad's birthday next weekend so we're gonna go round his but it's a 2 hour round trip, so we can only stay for 1 hour else we'll need the loo!

How are the bunnies finding their new home, have they settled in now? Hope they haven't damaged anything else!

Uh oh! Your temps really aren't doing too great. How are you feeling generally? Any of the usual twinges? You can't get a period but you can get breakthrough bleeding. Only question is when will it come. Could be in a few days or weeks from now. I think not ovulating won't stop them from doing all the investigations. Don't worry too much about that. It's not a normal cycle but your cycle has been changing from month to month so that's something to be investigated.

I've been super crampy since yesterday which means AF is definitely coming 😭 I haven't started spotting but I'll expect to today. Boobs were so achy yesterday as well. Yes, I'm going to do the next cycle properly. I'll start taking temps and using OPKs again then once ovulation is confirmed, I'll take the progesterone!! I bet I'm going to get all these crazy new symptoms and think I'm pregnant 😂

Haha every time I vacuum clean, I always do the sofa too. I put on the brush head attachment thing and vacuum all the surfaces and in between the cracks but right now, our sofa is very crumby too.

We're just throwing away mostly junk now. They've replaced our huge black wheelie bin with one that's tiny so not much can fit into it so we're going to have to take most things to the recycling centre. I'll also take some clothes that I need to throw away. Do you have a local recycling centre? That place was a lifesaver for us when we bought our furniture because we had huge boxes and lots of polystyrene to dispose of.

It's nice that you've split the chores. I'd like to think DH did his equal share but I have to tell him what to do or else it won't get done. But I've told him recently that I'm not the project manager of the house and it's not my job to delegate tasks to him, and he's actually doing stuff without being told now. I rewarded him by washing his boxers and socks when I did the laundry. Last time I did the laundry, I washed everything but his boxers and socks and he ran out of boxers and was forced to wash them himself 😂😂😂😂

I'd probably have to be careful of those old ladies. They'd definitely be the ones to report us. Proper curtain twitchers I imagine. Aww your dad's birthday! Shame it's not happening in Greece! Can't you use the toilet at your dads?

The bunnies are doing great! We only let them out when we're in the room with them so there hasn't been much damage. Yesterday white rabbit was licking me!!! I was so chuffed!! Because it means we have a bond and he loves me!!!!!! Eeeeee I'm loved!! Grey rabbit still hides away but I think it's because he's very cautious about getting in trouble. When white rabbit kept getting in trouble with us, grey rabbit stopped him from leaving the pen for days 😂😂 I'm thinking about getting a cat as well.

I bought a new washing machine yesterday. It arrives today. The old owner left their washing machine and tumble-dryer because we paid £50 for each of them but the washing machine is so dirty I felt literally sick putting my clothes in there. I might wash them again once the new machine arrives 🤢

Have you started signing contracts for your new job?

Got a few updates! So temp went up this morning indicating ovulation has happened but progesterone is probably low. Went and had my first progesterone test and this afternoon I called the clinic to ask for my earlier test results (FSH & LH). They were also able to give me today's results!

Day 3 FSH: 10.4
Day 3 LH: 5
4/5DPO Progesterone: 22.7

So the FSH is high for my age and suggests my egg quality and quantity is not good 😭. Progesterone level is low but kinda to be expected if ovulation is not happening properly due to rubbish eggs. So that's quite concerning, when I have my ultrasound on 13th April I'll be able to discuss the results and a treatment plan.

Cramps can also be an early pregnancy sign, you're not out until af arrives! If af does arrive, that will be really exciting when you start taking the progesterone, I wonder how high your temps will rise?!

That's annoying they've replaced your black bin with a tiny one, probably to force people to recycle more. Yeh we have a local recycling center, same it was a lifesaver for us too after our Oak Furnitureland delivery! Soo much packaging and huge boxes!

😂😂😂 That's a great idea to not wash his boxers and socks, hopefully he'll remember to put the laundry on now! I read something recently about how a lot of women suffer a mental drain from (as you say) project managing the home, looking after kids and going to work. There's loads of tasks women do around the house that men don't even think of. Luckily DP is quite good although I think he's given up on the jobs list 😕. Maybe you could try a jobs/chores list for your DH? Or make a weekly planner with who does what, on what day.

Well we're not supposed to go inside, so if my Dad's neighbours saw us they might report him. Unfortunately his garden is surrounded by other properties that can easily see in. Yeh sucks it's not in Greece, I've ordered him a birthday cake though so hopefully that will come out well! The brief I gave was casino style with gold and sparkle ⭐🎂🎰. Will it be your parents coming round this weekend? Hopefully they won't mention babies again!

Aww it's very cute when rabbits lick! He must like the taste of you 😂. Haha that's funny the grey rabbit is more cautious and reserved, they have personalities just like humans 😊.

Ah that sucks about the washing machine, are you gonna take it to the tip? Problem is they're so big and heavy, will you need to hire a van?

I don't need to sign a new contract as I'm already a permanent employee, they'll just update my details on the system to the new role. However I should get a letter confirming my new permanent position 🙂. Are things going well with your job apart from that woman?

Looks like you did ovulate so that's something. However, I'm so so sorry about your FSH results. I've done some reading around because I don't know what the values mean but from what I understand, anything over 10 isn't great. Is that peri-menopausal? How are you feeling? Did they give you any explanation as to what it all means? And sorry for the questions, you're probably feeling a bit down, but is it linked to the peritonitis?

Progesterone is low like me so I guess high five to that 😅 Your LH is fine from what I've read but I'm confused as to the purpose of measuring LH at the beginning of the cycle. What does the value mean? Glad you don't have to wait ages to discuss a plan forward, two weeks should hopefully fly by. But it's probably looking like IVF will be likely due to your low reserves. If it comes to that, it might be good to have at least 2 embryos transferred so you can have as many kids as quickly as possible. I'd probably go for 3 embryos and hope my body can cope. I'm sorry again. Sending far away hugs 🤗 try and treat yourself to lots of things that make you happy.

With all the cramping, I'm surprised I haven't started bleeding. I cramped terribly today as well, but it seems to have calmed down a bit this evening. Maybe tomorrow the spotting will start, although AF is due tomorrow based on cycle length (as I don't know when I ovulated). So it looks like our next cycles will be so far apart. How are we meant to be cycle twins 😭 I don't think I'm pregnant, I think my DTD timing was off, plus I DTD two days in a row so didn't give DH's sperm time to replenish. I am really looking forward to seeing how much my temps have changed now that I'm no longer on the supplements. I wonder if the progesterone pessaries will finally get my temps above 39.

Yup, they've introduced food bins too, so they really want us to keep waste low and recycle what we can. Have they brought in any low waste measures in your area? Haha omg! Yes! Those oak furnitureland packaging and boxes! Those were the main culprits!

And I absolutely don't want to be one of those women dragged down by the incompetency of their men. I've told him that if he can manage a team and project at work, he can easily manage and figure out house tasks. If it doesn't get done, then it's none of my business. A weekly planner would probably be best tbh. Haha you need to remind your DP of his chores! When does he start his new job?

I think you can meet in gardens. The government website says

You can meet in a group of 6 or a larger group of any size from up to 2 households (including their support bubbles) outdoors. This includes private outdoor spaces, such as gardens, and other outdoor public places and venues that remain open. - link.

So maybe try and spend some more time with your dad. It's his big 50! Such a huge milestone. Half a century 😱 I'd love to see how the cake turns out! You didn't give the cake artist a strict and detailed brief so I'm curious as to what they'll come up with.

Yeaaah! It'll just be my mum and dad coming although it hasn't been confirmed from them so maybe it'll end up being next weekend.

The rabbits have such distinct personalities. Literally right from when they were born. When we brought them home at 8 weeks, white rabbit was the active, boisterous one and grey rabbit was reserved and cautious and they haven't changed! White rabbit would be the first to be eaten in the wild. He'd want to play with his predator! What was your old rabbit like?

I ordered the new washing machine from AO and they have a disconnection/connection/recycle service for £55 so I added that and they took the old one away! Yay! Bye bye mouldy, dirty machine 🤢 good riddance. The new machine is wi-fi connected so I can use the app to set the cycle and check how long is left.

Ah! That's fair enough. I think I vaguely recall having to sign something when I changed roles at my previous company. As long as you have something in writing. Things with work are ok thanks. A bit slow on some days. I'm supposed to be giving a training session this week, but don't think that's happening.

We should start planning our meet up now that things are starting to open up! 👯‍♀️

Temp rose again this morning so maybe there is hope for this cycle!

From what I've read, over 20 there's no chance of using own eggs, 15-20 low chance, 10-15 not ideal but possible, 5-10 is good, under 5 is best. So I'm borderline between good and not good. I'm gonna ask if they can do a AMH test as apparently that's more accurate of your ovarian reserve. Yeh it most likely is linked to the peritonitis, it makes me so mad because it didn't need to happen. I was seen twice by GPs at home and they both misdiagnosed it as a stomach bug. If I'd been sent to hospital earlier, they would have caught it before it burst and leaked the infection all over my lower organs.

What tests did you have? I remember your egg quantity was very good?

I'm not entirely sure of the purpose of the LH testing but I've read that the ratio between FSH:LH should be 1:1, whereas mine is 2:1 which implies diminished ovarian reserve. Yeh IVF is looking more likely now, unfortunately there are laws around how many embryos they can put in you. If the embryo is good quality then legally they can only put one in, if the embryos are of a lower quality, then they can put two in, two is the maximum. If it was up to me I'd say put them all in and I'll just subject my body to being a host for anything that's willing to grow in it 😂😂.

Submitted SA today, tried to get the results but the receptionist said I'd have to wait until they're sent to the consultant, which can take up to 3 weeks?!! I think that's rubbish and they're just trying to palm people off to save them time. So I'll have to ask when I go for the ultrasound.

How are things with you today? Anymore cramps? Has spotting started? Fingers crossed af stays away! I'm guessing you mean 36.9? I'd be worried if your temp was 39°C 😂😂. Yes it will be very interesting to see what happens, I'm excited for you!

Yeh we already have a food bin, a recycling bin and a black bin. DP is quite environment conscious and I am too, so we make an effort to recycle where possible! It's annoying having to keep up with which bins are being collected on which days though!

DP still hasn't got a start date yet! They're taking ages with all these checks, it's been at least 2 months since the interview, maybe 3.

Yep I just didn't think you'd be allowed to go into the house to use someone's toilet but I've read the guidance and you can go inside, to either, access the garden or use the toilet. So we can stay longer at my Dad's, I'm praying the weather is okay! So the exact brief I gave was:

I'm looking for an 8 inch vanilla sponge, with a casino/vegas look (but without saying Vegas as he hasn't actually been there). He likes gaming, playing poker and is quite partial to a drink! So maybe the cake could have a bottle of champagne on it? I'd like the cake to look quite showy/sparkly so if you're able to incorporate some gold and sparkle that would be great. I'd also like the cake to say 'Happy 50th Birthday Dad'

See if you can get your parents to come over this weekend, the weather is colder next week ☹️.

Aww that's so cute, probably a good job the white rabbit is a pet and not wild! My old rabbit was very tame and calm, although he would constantly hump a football 😂.

Oh that's really handy they took away the old washing machine! Ooh I didn't you could get a washing machine with an app, that's so cool! Saves having to get up and check it 😂. Might have to invest in one of those next time.

Haha yeh sounds good! So are we agreed on Bristol? We could meet around 12, have lunch & drinks and then do an activity afterwards? I guess it will depend on what's open!
